Best Kennedy Poems
it was the sixties
we were young
we were going to change the world
spin it like a basketball on our finger
take the three point shot
win the game
we had great leaders
john, robert, martin...
the planet was singing
with the purity of a four year old
...
The ants go marching two by two;
The little one stops to tie his shoe,
...
then
it started raining bullets
our optimism soured
slightly at first
and the grassy knoll
and the sniper
and the magic bullet
john was shot
jackie squirmed
we sat on the edge of our seats
The ants go marching four by four;
The little one stops to shut the door,
John F. Kennedy was assassinated
The ants go marching five by five;
The little one stops to take a dive,
years had passed, five
look before you dive
the civil rights movement gathered
to fight for their God given rights
the right to be treated as humans
exactly that...humans...no more no less.
to listen to the man who had said
"Nonviolence is a powerful and just weapon
which cuts without wounding and ennobles
the man who wields it. It is a sword that heals."
the man who stood on the hill speaking
"I have a dream today!"
The ants go marching seven by seven;
The little one stops to pray to heaven,
Boom, boom, boom, boom!
Martin Luther King Jr. was shot
died
and my God it rained
it rained salt
as a nation black and white cried
The ants go marching nine by nine;
The little one stops to check the time,
time for the rise of Bobby
Hoorah! Hoorah!
Boom, boom, boom, boom!
i wish he could have ran faster than the bullets
they murdered John's brother
Robert F. Kennedy was dead
the sixties where almost finished
and i wondered
if the world would ever be the same
again
I marched away buried my face into the ground
To get out of my pain.
great leaders lost
words that radiated
radiate hope
America was
the envy of the world
it's two thousand sixteen
and we have sunk so deep into the dirt
i know we can't Trump this disaster
have you ever heard of fools gold
we have a choice
our lives count
remember the ants
nature's banner is blowing in the wind
don't make
the little one shout
"THE END!!"

John F. Kennedy
1917-1963
The great 35th president of US
It wasn't really a success
He tried to stop the missile bases
There were lot of angry faces
When there was about to be a war
Peace was what he asked for
Texas was the place he was shot
Later, the criminal was caught
He didn't survive the pain
His people cried like the rain
she was dressed in pink
excited people lined streets
red roses she held
a senseless act took a life
his demise a nation mourned
2/24/2016
A fragment of his life he did great things.
John F. Kennedy/Quotes
“If more politicians knew poetry, and more poets knew politics, I am convinced the world would be a little better place in which to live.”
My fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.
junior was quiet nice
but the ***** he married not so
and if their airplane dove in the sea
not my problem as caroline kept visiting
with her children gawking at the black men next table
making bundle with jingle
I was ten when her father died
announce on the radio in the dark
no hot water public bath every week
and the toilet you had to share outside of the room
with cot beds opened for my sibling every night
as me the youngest will sleep with my mom in a bed for one
and for sure we had no heat winter come and will scurry every penny
for a baguette of bread to make dinner
and then became adult with a prospect I am going to find caroline
and sure did but took my time never telling the story sister
and wrapped your coat around your shoulders as Shloosberg told me
you don't have to do that but answered it's my privilege to do so
He came from a prominent family his achievements not denied
In school he was a scholar, in the Navy served with pride.
In the war he was heroic putting his life on the line
Which is documented in the movie titled ”PT 109.”
1956 he wrote “Profiles in Courage” which was great to no ones surprise
In fact its impact resulted in winning a Pulitzer Prize.
He spent 7 years in the Senate and was always highly respected
So he ran for our Nations highest office in 1960 he was elected.
Bay of Pigs, Cuban Missles, Berlin Wall, just a few situations to mention
They were all causing crisis’ he gave them his utmost attention.
22 November 1963 in Dallas, Texas his life was suddenly done
He was murdered riding in a motorcade by a bullet from an assassins gun.
A truly great American who served his country well
The shock this nation felt that day words could never tell.
However in his memory his name is on display
An airport, aircraft carrier, and many schools are named for JFK.
Libraries, museums, and universities all named for JFK
A Center for Performing Arts, what more is there to say
So this is my tribute to JFK it’s the best I have to give
He is someone I’ll look up to for as long as I may live.
Rest in Peace JFK!

We'll miss you but hope to join you someday in eternity
Passing too soon like uncle Bobby and father John
You stood strong in the face of your family's tragedies
I remember a little soldier saluting our fallen leader so dear
Then our Prince of Camelot inspiring many with hope
Now I'm sharing your family's pain but glad you were here
Stunned by your loss as your bravery helps me cope
When you were just a toddler I myself was just a child
Seeing you play under your daddy's desk bringing innocence to the White
House
Your mother raised you well blessing you with manners so mild
I cried when your father died now comforted you are with him forever and
your spouse
My dad personally knew your dad as President and friend and in this fact I am
proud
This boy of the sixties feels forever tied to your family
You'll always be special to me personally not just another face in the crowd
Look forward to seeing you again someday John Jr. in our Lord's home so
heavenly.
Note: It is the 15th anniversary of my friend John's death in a tragic plane crash, I am missing you so much John - John.

on rolling hills they were laid
given a tomb stone and honored grave
up right and at attention
all standing in formation
on peaceful and silent hills
they laid
in rows, government issued graves
a place to stay until Resurrection Day
a place with a Name, on visitors day
a place to put flowers
or drop tears on a grave
they lie there waiting, still serving
as hero's are laid
on the rolling hills of Jefferson Barracks

REMEMBERING ROSE KENNEDY
by ron wilson aka vee bdosa
A rose was plucked from many of the day
and taken to our Lord, by His request,
who keeps it so it will not wilt away
and now it shines the rose of our Lord's breast.
'Twas just a very simple rose to grow
but light complexes colors visually
and all those colors make up all we know,
to turn it into what our eyes can see.
And what a joy she was, as if a song,
until the Master called for our dear Rose,
and now we ask, how can we get along
without this joy of life that seldom grows?
Such roses do not grow just ev'rywhere
but when they do, we see a Mother there.

KENNEDY
There was a man
So strong a man
A man so brave and free
A famous man , A courageous man
A man named "KENNEDY."
This important man, this kind man
A man SO GENEROUS AND BOLD
We will never see any man like HE
This man named "KENNEDY."
I wrote this poem because "THE KENNEDY FAMILY" AND "THE WHOLE WORLD" have suffered a great loss and I think "PRESIDENT JOHN FITZGERALD KENNEDY" was the worlds greatest "PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA."

*Written November 22, 1963 on the day of President John F. Kennedy's assassination! (Age 12) First poem I'd ever written.*

And there for one brief moment
Was our light
Shining strong
And shining bright
Bringing us new signs of hope
With courage
And the gift to cope
He left us when he's needed most
Returning to the Blessed Host
With caring grace
And love of man
This leader came
Did all he can
All must remember what he gave
His dreams for us
Are what we save
35th President John F. Kennedy
Somehow developed major enemies
Their seemingly styled Camelot
Dissolved when extramarital affairs were caught
His wife the graceful Jacqueline Kennedy
Drew Americans in to total empathy
When her love was killed that day
But both of them had affairs to play
There is no perfect rhyme for Kennedy but I went ahead with that one anyway.
The title line would not let me use apostrophe or a period in it. LOL
I have read that President Kennedy had many affairs but I do not know that for a fact and also Mrs. Kennedy had affairs as well so I have read. They say don't spread gossip but it is written in books.

my mortality
there was something about him that stole the show,
his handsome face and eyes had a special glow,
from cold war he promised he would find a way,
John F Kennedy the 35th president of USA!
his slim figure draped in elegant blue suit,
his brisk walk displayed a mind that was astute,
as youngest president aged forty three,
he was from a distinguished family tree!
his Harvard education showed in his speech,
with his tone, gentle voice, wise words he could reach,
all Americans hoping for better days,
for a stronger future he would pave new ways.
he pulled the country from economic slush,
divisive segregation laws he would flush,
his brave intervention stopped a major war,
he built an economy that would go far!
a soldier, a reporter in younger years,
a world war two veteran without death fears,
he brought America the gift of his charms,
setting in enemy camps jealous alarms!
he promised to put the first man on the moon,
it was his wish that would launch the space age soon,
hope grew in every heart, eyes looked to the sky,
eager for the day when that rocket would fly!
I dread to describe that day in November,
every human heart with tears shall remember,
when sharp sounds of gunfire stole dear president,
I wish time would rewind, erase that moment!

her way to touch the sky
her light in mine
her soul on my destiny
I like our dawns to two
her stains of silence
I like nova fire
these vibrations to caress
I like our mad fantasies
their dust of instant
an instinct of existence
Kennedy didn’t die in Dallas
And Elvis lives outside of Memphis
You see they got sick of the guff
And took identities that were good enough
So if you see an impersonator in their act
Looking good as a matter of fact
It may be the real deal
Hiding in plain sight comfortably real.
