she was dressed in pink 

   excited people lined  streets 

      red roses she held

         a senseless act took a life  

his demise a nation mourned

A day that I was very saddened to her of his passing. I was very young of course , but the impact of the way he died and how our first lady reacted really stayed on my mind.
