“Just living is not enough... one must have sunshine, freedom,
and a little flower”.
– Hans Christian Andersen

A little flower in the garden
not very large, or tall, or bright.
For this, she seeks pardon.
God graces her with His light.

His sun shining in the skies
attracts the little flower’s head
and soon her face and eyes
behold the sunshine’s thread.

It fills her with a freedom
like she’s never known before.
She awakens simply to need Him
and He, she comes to adore.

Her little face fills with happiness
shining prettily pink and red.
He colors her with tenderness;
she stands proudly without dread.

Life is living and loving all things
without need to feel outside.
Accepting the gifts He brings
makes living a jubilant joyride.

When the Joyride Stopped

Water in the mid stream was cool,
The scene was nice and refreshing,
Even our horses stopped to enjoy,
The beauty of the running stream.

Premium Member A Joyride

A joyride
Like that of a high speed rail
We may take our partners
Our small children
Or our old parents
For a joyride
Looking around
Scenery and nature
People and crowd
Shops and houses
Cars and buses
Highways and lanes
All are eye-catching
After a long time confining to
Walls and beds
While people are still hesitating to dine-in
Because of the virus
I love a joyride
I won't leave the outside world
Out of contact
I take photos from the car
I eat inside the car
I enjoy the hustle and bustle
Of life outside
Even though through
A small car window
I was bornt to this world
I was gifted
I won't leave it alone
Will it leave me alone
And I hope to live with it peacefully
Can I
I like to penetrate your soul too
Your world too
With my true love
Although only a little left
Can I

Oh that wind in your hair
As your foot hits the pedal,
New music just in time
to give the season a new rhythm;

Sunglasses 'cause the Sun's shining
so bright you can't see;
An empty road in front of you
endless opportunities ahead;

It feels as if its been forever
since the Sun has shone so late;
My skin is crawling, it's alive
Its time for Spring's first joyride.

Premium Member Yesterday's Joyride

A body of chipped paint and red rust,
A weathered windshield under the dust

Steering wheel aims in one last turn,
Dashboard suffers from many a sunburn

Her cracked mirrors are still adjusted,
Her upholstery is worn out and busted

Seats tilted since the last time driven,
Still positioned in an adjustment given

Smashed headlights and dull chrome,
Flat tires sunken into her final home

Once a brand new beauty, now, junk,
Only memories fill the empty trunk

The road trips taken across the nation,
Radio's still tuned to a favorite station

She's over the hill and forced to stay,
As yesterday's joyride eases into decay.

The Free Spirit Joyride Life

here i am
just me
no mirror to look in
no colors or dyes to change me
here i am
just me

there you are
just you
no mirror to look in
no makeup or synthetic products to change you
there you are
just you

here we go
just us
no budget to worry about
no bills or debt to sideline us
here we go
just us

Joyride

we took a spin
we all had a grim
we were friends
had the same blend
and taste
but of other race
and face
on road was our gold
we got load
went side by side
on this
JOYRIDE

The Joyride

We always go out driving... that's what we love to do.
We'll all pile in and go, the kids and me and you.

We look at fancy houses and dream of 'One day we'll...'
We like to count the cows seen grazing on the hill.

Rolling down the windows and feeling the cool breeze.
The leaves are turning colors, getting ready for the freeze.

We hear the twigs start cracking underneath our muddy tires.
Looking for the black birds all lined along the wires.

The kids will give a clap and send the birds up in a tizzy,
we just keep on laughing now until we're feeling dizzy.

If we can find a two-track with a sign 'road closed ahead'
you know we're turning off the street and going there instead!

Once we're stuck we'll all just push, we don't mind anyway.
For us this is the life....and this is our favorite kind of day! !

Cupid's Joyride

Emitting star, meteor, act alike,
Some piece gleams a sky, oust our atmosphere,
Bow bends, arrow aims our sky ere a strike,

Cupids arrow tips when pierced are dreamlike,
Heirs beguiled senseless on a plains calm mere,
Emitting star, meteor, act alike,

Evolve cherub charioteer, fine tyke,
The cosmos hooves gallop the heavens clear,
Bow bends, arrow aims our sky ere a strike,

Late evening dusk, well beyond its midnight,
Cupids and cherubs, together they cheer,
Emitting star, meteor, act alike,

Rounded azure foresees, unleashed star bright,
The host of arrows emanating near,
Bow bends, arrow aims our sky ere a strike,

Heaven besieged midst an utter delight,
Stars hurled, meteors bounce, the whole appear
Emitting star, meteor, act alike,
Bow bends, arrow aims our sky ere a strike.

Joyride

Jade plants, carved rocks, herbal greens
Leaves grown, earthen kitchen’s sheen
Sliced peach sunsets splash laughter
White plates glow pink where friends glean

Joyride

I once floated towards the rising Sun,
Oh man, it was so much fun,
How did I ever think it couldn’t be done?

Even though for moments like that I always yearned,
I grew a little concerned,
As I didn’t want to get ‘sunburned’.

But it was such a smooth, joyful ride,
I mean, I was going upwards on an infinite, invisible slide,
So I just let go and let my heart be my guide.

As I felt its rays attach onto my skin,
I couldn’t help but devilishly grin,
Wider it grew, as they went deeper within,
As yet another battle over the darkness, the light would take a win.

Stretch & yawn
And move on
Moment to moment
Rising bliss quotient
As a standing wave
We look on in awe
The current teasing
Ecstasy peaking
As the joy pendulum
Root to sensorium
Sushumna ignited
Has us delighted
Dance of celebration
Of joyous elation
Continues
Renews

Cheer knows the way
To light each day

Style your sure flair
With joy you air

Live that grand run
Sheer happy fun

Seize time to feel
Do what you will

Prize love and light
Watch soul move sight

Frame poise of choice
Touch mellows voice

Dare word your way
Love fashions play

When all is said
Each debt is paid

Live well your time
Ere death breaks rhyme

Wild and dangerous ...

        The 'pump' is spontaneous -

                Coming down's ... vicious.
