Slade and Jade the Mermaid

There once was a pirate named Slade,
had a crush on Jade the mermaid.
Asked her out on a date,
thought this love was his fate...
turned out she was there to get laid!

Jade Hearts

Tracing Outlines on my cup of tea
I stare at him out of the corner of my cavernous coffee eyes
Sitting there reading Che, Zapata, Chavez, Castro
Blinking, breathing, seething
                                                        Intense
                                       He’s got me hooked already
Looking at me like I’m something new, I can see
                                      We can speak without words
Mocha latte skin froths me up
Style Stirs a little bit of interest, it’s the smile, dimples and all
That gets the engine to stop roaring and to purr
I want, to get, close, release, Intellect steaming, smoldering against my gaze
			 What’s your Addiction?
Is it money? Is it cars? Politics?
Words spilling, sun streaming, whip pulsing
Connecting from two different worlds
I promise to reveal real
                                             Addiction
                                             affliction of exotic tendencies
Building castles in the air, my charming urban King,
Fantasize with me, delicious remedies that would soothe
Jade Hearts, green and young, frozen and strong, we are the same
Baby Boy I deserve
To be served this kind of ecstasy
Asian dreams of china dishes crashing on the floor
Scrambling to get some more, more, more
Images fly past too sweaty to grasp
Slicked up thigh and long black hair down to middle of the back
Lips curved around hips and legs tangled with minds unfastened and, and, and
oh Damn
I got this, I know who I am, something you will never see again
In years, lifetimes, eons, all the dimes and pennies in the world will never amount
To Priceless
If I get up and glide past
Letting my scent, spicy, seductive, forbidden
Unbidden, he shall follow me
Into the fire, desire, baby
To get some more, more, more

Jades of green, yellow and white;
the colors of life grow warm against the skin.

Precious gems of the lands minerals;
coveted by any, Jade is the stone of emperors;
lends a classy aire to any occasion and
a warm, rich presence to its wearer.

Premium Member Pearl or Jade Necklace

Quote:"All art is autobiographical. The pearl is the oyster's autobiography".
Federico Fellini

The Taos Indian crafted jewel,
A necklace strung with jade and some other gems.
Looked so pretty to me, I bought it on the spot,
Presented it to my wife, which she never wore in her life.

Once I asked her, why don’t you wear that necklace?
You would look pretty in it and would arouse some romance.
She looked at me and asked, have you ever judged jewelry?
Whoever wears green stone jewelry, I would rather buy a pearl necklace.

What is so special about pearl necklaces?
Pearl harvesters find only in one percent of oysters,
Its layers of sand, glued in oyster’s glands,
Still women love the bright white lustier of beady pearls.

She is gone for many years, the jade necklace I keep in my heart,
It’s not the value of jewelry, it is what it is sentimentally worth,
She wore pearl and other jewelries, and tried to look her best,
If she had worn my gift necklace, she would have looked her best.

Now I adore her picture on the wall,
With the jewelry she did not like at all,
To me she looks the prettiest doll,
Wearing this precious jade jewel crafted by love.

Premium Member Whispers Beneath the Jade Mirror

Quote:"Lurking in stone’s shadow, quietly flows a fleeting saga of heroism.
And I, too, swim like that koi—through stillness, I traverse time in contemplation. " --- Zen thought

In the jade-mirrored stillness, scales ripple like silent sutras,
Broidered ghosts of light drifting beneath stone and shadow.
Each breath of water carries a hush—a teaching unspoken,
Inviting the mind to rest in the ebb of being and non-being.

A single red mark, bright as a lantern in deep quiet,
Breaks the surface of calm—a spark of courage in stillness.
Here, the koi becomes memoir of perseverance—the ancient river’s echo of transformation,
Softly urging, "Continue beyond the current, and become."

Beneath moss-fingered rocks, time flows in slow meditation,
Every ripple a lesson, every current a silent koan.
The fish, with graceful intent, glides through root and reflection,
An embodiment of Zen’s paradox: movement within stillness.

And so I am koi in the mirrored pond—seeking and serene—
My heart a tracing of curves on water’s face,
Finding in each quiet stroke the eternal in the ephemeral,
Swimming not to arrive, but simply to become luminous.

JADE
by Rosemarie Rowley

I knew you fainthearted what side you were on
When you talked of social reality: not Jesus at the well
With the Samaritan woman, or the invisible loss of power
Which halts her speech and causes His deference

Holding her in trust for what she is.
You can talk of rural communes in China
Till the cows come home – leading them will be a girl
Bearing a key-ring and a dead black raven.

Your ways are sweet indeed, nectar and honey
And vinegar to end it all: you’d let all the
Wells in the world run dry for a principle
And proudly show us the papier-mache women who survived,

Embalmed with bitter hope and urgent salvation,
To tell the tale on electro-magnetic tape.

Jade

I would like naught but the chance to glimpse a glimmering shadow upon a sun streaked field,

To find a place of darkening grace, that brings me to lucidity.
To hold and behold the essence of a thing that only kings had been able to wield.

To go beyond thought and embrace a thing that only Forever could comprehend,
To see within a light’s past and know that darkness had come before.

Skin of jade, and an angels smile,
the touch of passion that you enfold,
You move like wind, and dance like fire,
upon this landscape “my heart” you hold
Your thoughts are keeping, my deep secrets meaning,
to put forth the light that you have shown.
And in the eyes of umber gleaming,
I see deep within its meaning, a solace no fable has told,
so bring forth this, a hearing sacred, voice of resonance no string can fold.
And within this thought of heavens shadow, this ebony thing to me is gold

I have dreamt of you, in the darkest of night, and in the shadows I hear the calling

Darkness glimmers, a breath that shimmers to ring sound true a heart that’s falling

Jolly,
Accomplished,
Direct,
Enigmatic.

Vignette of Amy Jade

What wild glee behind your tame grin lurks?
What shy sun fears to breach your heart’s horizon?
And to against your hidden teeth of
Alabaster gleam. Bestowing upon the earth the breadth of
Your delight. With rays of a beam that girds
Time at the waist.
The meekest mare is bridled mirth;
She walks to joy in a slow trot, afraid
 To gallop forth with force,
Chary to express any clue of cheer or hope.
Who was it to chasten you so?
And rein you unto undue modesty.
From whose stable need you deliverance?
Are you by a loveless groom oppressed?
Breathe easy, Demure, smile assured that all
Your bliss is licit.
Laugh aloud while crowned with life to
Happiness permitted.

There's nothing worse than hogging the scene
It's even sadder that they have to be mean
To be seen and not heard
     Is the truest of words
It's even worse when they turn a dull green

Windy Jade Green Sea Frenzy

Whooosh! Brrrrr...icy!..North wind in a steady gale blowing hard.

Whipping up the green sea into a jade and white peaked frenzy.

The water turning to an ultramarine blue on the misty horizon

Dappled clouds echo a scaly sea pattern in the lavender sky .

The cool Winter sun shyly peeking through the cloudy canvas.

Walking with the wind a woman with a whippet braces bravely.

Facing the salt spray and a wild sea the wind carries her along.

Burnt sienna sponge corals daley with red rubber spike corals

Empty crab shells crunched under moon crescent horse shoes

Jadeist

The hard stone feels cold
Shaped and formed by gentle hands ~
Jade, our ancient friend
