Assuring more time to embrace the earth's sun
Brings with it sweet pleasures summer has spun.
Casting out a line in search of a suffering soul,
Derives inner joy that is good for the whole.
Everyone may soon become quite aware,
Favoring the spirit gifts so much to share.
God's greatest gifts are so freely given...
Help yourself to the sweet fruits of heaven.
Inside your mind lives pristine poetic flowers,
Just let them flow through tips of your bowers.
Kindred spirits will gravitate to your prose or rhyme,
Lyrics that sway us, dancing in harmonic time.
Moving to music creates tranquility,
Neutralizing harsh sounds with indemnity.
Omnipotence frees us from our emotional will,
Penetrates our sanctuary when we are quiet and still.
Quality not quantity of life's special dreams
Related in love's happiness is all that it seems.
Seeking to help others will benefit you
Through the gift of your time, in kind things you do.
Universal energy is captured by all,
Vibrating in frequencies in an invisible pall.
We may share with each other our auras divine
Xyst beauty that surrounds in astrological trine.
Yearning to spread peace to indifference I find;
Zealous in my heart to share love with mankind.

2020

they say "hindsight is 20/20"
is it easy to validate what is behind us
like a storm that causes mass destruction and death
get indemnity for what is lost, even when it's time?

spring had sprung, winter clung
no way to vitiate the damage being done
as we sit inside looking out
watching nothing but time passing by

even shadows are stilled in silence
while we stare across the horizon's edge
at morning's rise and fall
counting stars more than days
just to fill the voids in life

we patiently await for something more
seeing our tears trickle from skies
as our screams fall from birds gathering nearby
volant in their freedom while we are caged
trying to find our way out of this maze
that 2020 has become...
awaiting on hindsight

Seen This Movie Before

Casablanca
Gone with the Wind
I've seen this movie before,
and I know how it ends
First we start off slow,
then become Best Friends
That's when the Love Story begins
We have ourselves a True Romance
which brings us skin to skin
And the way we are now
is The Way We Were then

Deja vu
Double Indemnity
We created the Perfect Storm,
our love has no Misery
You're my African Queen
and I'm your Lion King
We're on a Streetcar Named Desire
that feels like a Ring of Fire

Key Largo
Kate & Leopold
This love was Too Hot to Handle,
but we couldn't let it go
We found a way to hold on tight
because we were both Spellbound
Now it's A Wonderful Life,
our love is such a Phenomenon

Boomerang
The Baker Boys
Steel Magnolias
Sophie's Choice
These are just a few
of the movies I see
whenever I'm loving you,
and you're loving me

A Star is Born
A Place in the Sun
The Best Years of Our Lives
Strawberry Blonde
These are just a few
of the many movie scenes
that always let me know
what our love truly means

Braveheart
Moonstruck
Pillow Talk
Notorious
These are just a few
of the movies I see,
once I fell in love with you,
and you fell in love with me

Love Jones
Cleopatra
Wuthering Heights
It Happened One Night
These are just a few
of the many movie scenes
I always see you
when I'm looking at the screen

Casablanca
Gone with the Wind
I've seen this movie before,
and I love how it ends

Premium Member I Am Called Woman

Sometimes, I find myself on a battleground
in the present or in sieges from the distant past
It may be a war I've been waging within myself,
a thorn that needs plucking so that I might heal
I wear no crown, nor do I wish to be gowned
in regal robes and sit upon a throne looking down
on anyone. For me, those things hold no appeal
I am rebellious against the many wrongs I've seen
and if you think it's mean of me to feel that way—
You don't know me well enough to pass judgement

With regret, I've been the cause of an Angel's weeping
when down a misguided path I chose to walk
Mistakes? I've made my share of them, maybe more
but I've always tried to amend my faults in some way
Indemnity is not always reimbursed with coin
More often than not, my tears the price to pay

Sometimes, even I have not found the sentience of it—
things I do; emotions I feel. No reason as to why except
that I am compelled without restraint or prudence to try
I refute the need to live by the creed of the golden rule—
for only a fool would claim the world is a righteous place
where smug faces play fair in games of love and war

If I am defeated, I never hesitate to stand again
for I've always despised the thought of white flags
and retreating like a coward again and again, in sad refrain
I garner resilience and strength from every enemy I meet
and in defeat, my stratagem sharpens much keener
I am not a warrior; that's not the path I want to take
I've been storm tossed in seas of turbulent weather
When faced with animosity, I will not shiver and quake
Offered silk or suit of armor— I prefer a softer demeanor

Self-professed I am supple of breast
       Heart not crafted from leather
           From flesh, blood and bone
              Of the gender called woman
I was not chiseled from stone

Such a Light Thing

An impossible crisis intervene
is a heavy nothing to God
It’s such a light thing,
a very light thing
When we're facing a certain death trap,
it only takes a light tap
from the Hand of God
to turn a dire situation around
Completely flip it upside down,
crook the devil emissaries' smiles into frowns
This is such a very light task ...
 a vapor helium ask
A vacuum void of empty
devil indemnity,
sending attack demon dog beasts
with sharp teeth
Stressful prayers of saints
under siege ...
crushing soul gravity
Heavy hearts
dealing with weighty,
mountainous odds
Ain’t nothing but a light thing
for Almighty God,
it’s such a light thing ...
Faith given wings like a dove,
feathery joy fluttering up
to the heavens above
Prayer amen hands
given double-blessed love
Showing us that ain’t nothing too heavy,
too hard for God
Signs of a needed miracle ... something impossible,
is a nothing deed that nod
yawns Him
to barely lift His Messiah rod
With ease,
the shadow returned backward
ten degrees
This was such a light thing
Raising the dead from the grave
was such a light save
For Almighty God,
a very light thing
These be such light requests,
requiring only a slight touch
from the Finger of Power
It’s such a holy light thing —
in the eyes of God, we’re not asking much
Miracles performed
are such a very light thing ... but not to us!

Mug

I find it cautic as the glass separating the sphere from the cloud,

the resignation of all trust avowed,

the interrogation of my soul via a machine,

and it's so not you...

The angle of approach to this future indemnity,

the meaning of life as we do it today-

now don't hesitate,

don't shy away or grab something insane,

you sir are not lying 45 minutes a day,

you don't deny thy find within grind,

you comply!

If it's just co-energize,

no truth deny's,

nothing hides,

say it outside-
right?

Don't despise,

don't characterize,

you'd think the internet Trumped that tonight...

Too many whites,

nor even blacks,

what's that?

Well let's attack...

One is seen,

the other unmade,

you choose,

you can even be the mate...

You can even hide in a great,

stare straight at your future plate,

get close,

get the grate...

Just trip out,

lose your faith.

The song that divides remains,

the long walk alive is strange,

let's get it here now and with a simple witness...

Don't drive,

don't even fly to cry,

don't rhyme,

it's everyone!

Everyone inside!

Say it with me-
kick it later,

it's everyone!

It's in alive!

Yo,

they ARE at the show,

show um,

show um how much you know,

end this riddle with the waltz of the Mountain Goats,

never do they need proof but a pasture where they grope,

sometime's it's O.K to just go home.

The Wolf

Your agouti mix with your silver sleek shine,
Your genus “canis lupus” known throughout time.

You hunt in packs deep in the woods,
So stealthy and confident just like you should.

Carnivore mammal, tough as steel,
You ripped me apart for your last meal.

Untamed and wild beneath the the moon,
You've startled me in my pathetic cacoon.

Unraveled, strings pulled out of needles,
So high strung, and a beast who wheedles.

A savage predator from North America,
With ancestors spread through Northern Canada.

You came and left in the blink of my eye,
I heard you found a home somewhere near by.

First time I saw you I ended up on my knees,
Searched for shelter crying out for indemnity.

Last time I saw you my heart was in ruins,
It's only because of your tedious undoing.

Later than sooner when we meet again,
I'll pray for comfort and hope to suspend.

Your call of the wild screeches in my ears,
As you pass on your legacy throughout the years.

Your agouti mix with your silver sleek shine,
Next time you're near I'll be disinclined.

"Here, I'm talking
All of Me
My name, tale & speciality
not about Thee!
I'm now flowing
with the calm stream of Time
let's come to share my Jiff
let's come to share my Rhyme.
You can't judge Me
through the spectacles of penetrable presence
My inner thought is a little bit different
from the physical appearance.
During past jobs -
I served for Orphans
I too felt glad
to strengthened destitute Women.
I felt their real Pain
in the absence of Identity
I worked to eradicate
their unquenchable thirst, hunger & Poverty.
I am exploring different ways
to intermingle them with mainstream of Society
So they could become self-sufficient
and not be the mere part of Pity.
Introspection of my actions
are my Reality
I will continue it till my last breath
is my Identity.
Let's sow the seed of Affinity
to preserve Global Humanity
Else, we will be late
to bear Indemnity!"____Durgesh Verma

Premium Member A Life In Retrospect and a Life Hoped For

The years increased and agéd now—between
first birth and the burnt embers of my dotage—
I yearned and pined for a God-like machine
with which to vitalize my wrinkling image;
my youth extinguished long before Life’s hour
ran its course, I succumbed to melancholy
as I loved not nor lived with Love’s great power
within my lifetime—damned be this my folly!
Only faith in a righteous, holy Son
remains who shall rise to give me rebirth
though youth and hale are gone and I’m undone
by man’s hypocrisy upon this Earth.
So, beloved, extend to me not your pity,—
for my hope lies in God's Indemnity.

Integrity

Learn from the wisdom around you
That replenishes when replenishing is due
For it is dire that there be the indemnity
For the unexalted integrity
That it may live once again
And distinguish itself from every feign
As the practice indelible
Adoptable, teachable and inheritable

To be truthful and honorable
And for it be reputable
To value and respect
To invest then expect
To lead and to participate
To correct and to appreciate
To be passionate and wholehearted
And finish all that is started

Feel that sense of duty
Wrapped in its fulfilling beauty
To cure from wilt
And to preserve good as built
As a reasonable channel of your diligence
That its reward may influence
All eyes that see
To want to be

Premium Member Youth, the Fleeting Spring of Early Life

My autumn approaches; with summer's end,
the burning embers of my aging dotage,
now sovereign, dominate and portend
the fading of Youth with my graying image.

How now, dear Lord, do I live, thrive, prevail,
succeed, and flourish in life's waning hours?
When fresh and young as the dew, all is well;
without a care in the world, the flowers

of our adolescence seem for ever!
But, with time, comes old age and senescence,
loss of strength and health and hale--to never
return but through rebirth and renascence.

So, waste not on me any tears of pity;
for my hope lies now in God's Indemnity.

Sociopathic Father

Pain was something that a man loved to inflict.
He had four daughters and he was very strict.
He demanded control of his wife and daughters.
He had two Son-In-Laws who he slaughtered.
He murdered his first Son-In-Law for the life insurance money.
And he got twice as much cash because it was Double Indemnity.
When he blew off his hand for the insurance money, they wouldn't pay him anything.
So when he decided to decapitate himself, it was all for nothing.
He was eventually brought to justice for the evil that he inflicted.
But he wound up not going to prison even though he was convicted.
He staged his death to look like murder but he actually committed suicide.
He was a very dangerous and evil man, that's something that can't be denied.
The things he did were too horrible to contemplate.
He left this world at the age of 54 in March of 1978.

(This is a true story)

So Double Minded

You love to double dare,
double down
Raise the stakes and double the bet
You love to double dip,
double back
Lower the cage and shark bite thru the double mesh net
The risk of getting caught
is part of doing the crime
But you don’t care about doing the time
You love to run in the shadows,
dark places where there ain’t no sunshine
You’re one double-hearted soul
with a double mind
		Cheshire grinning to yourself,
you say: look what the cat caught,
		look what the dog hid
You’re so evil,
so double minded
		Joker laughing to yourself,
you say: see what the marked cards bought,
see what the fake bluff bid
You’re so devilish,
so double minded
Corrupting souls and selling them into sin,
buying their integrity and then profiting
But one day, you’re gonna try to stretch your
double mind into a triple
*** ... poisoned milk bottle
Lying lips sucking the death nipple
Then you realize too late,
your boss, the Devil got a single mind
He been wanting to kill you for a long time
They said:
	you were drop dead beautiful
	at the funeral home
Rumor spread:
when your face hit the plate,
from the doubledecker arsenic-laced burger that you ate,
	      how ironic was your fate
Your suffering, scorned double-insured wife,
convenient love of your double agent life,
did your double mind in with a double cross
And in doing so,
she earned a double bonus from your boss
Your double-fanged, black widow wife
bit you with a double dose poison surprise
And her double helixes, they got wiped clean,
when all the evidence vanished from the murder scene
At your coffin,
she gave your lips a doublemint kiss,
and gave her heart a double tap with the fist
She don’t have to double over anymore
from your double-barreled gut punch lies,
now that she gave you
the big sleep, double indemnity goodbye
Eulogy slammed your memory hard
	     ... yes she did
Plucked flowers from the graveyard,
put it on your coffin lid
Hell is glad getting you on the underground grid
You’re so devilish,
so double minded
