Premium Member Soozie the Floozie

Soozie was angry with her boyfriend, Bob
Tried dismembering him but botched the job
Disgruntled with all men
She vowed to try again
When she found him in bed with her friend, Rob

Soozie was livid! You should've seen her
She couldn't hide her savage demeaner
This time her plan would work
She would castrate the jerk
Missed again...charged with a misdawiener

Bob's thingy is the size of a pickle
When he goes potty, it's just a trickle
He screams her name..."SOOZIE!
You were such a floozie!
Then you became a witch, an ice cycle!"

Beatlemania (The Fab Four As Lovers)

Once a choir boy, John turned to romance,
Fell for Yoko almost at first glance.
In full public view
In bed with her too -
Showed the world how to “give peace a chance.”

Quiet George played much more than guitar.
Lost his wife to another rock star.
Layla left him because
Of how hung up he was
On the music he made with his sitar!

Ringo acted in “Caveman” and met
His wife Barb (once a Bond girl) on set.
Though the film of this drummer
Was dumber than dumber,
Wise in love, he’s not left his Barb yet!

A heart breaker, Paul left Wife "One"
For Linda, and made her a vegan!
On their farm smoking pot,
They made money (a LOT)!
He’s a genius whose life sure seems fun!

She shuffled by our house, so slow and bent,
No second thought of where the lady went.
On her return, no one around to see.
A shaded path, she blended with the trees.

We children always giggled, as she passed.
A group emboldens others to harrass.
Our high pitched jeering from a hidden niche,
The frail, sunbonnet lady, we yelled "witch".

One day a fever kept me home from class.
I saw her weary shuffle down the path.
My over-active need to know convened.
I followed with excitement and unseen.

A house engulfed by weeds grown thick and tall,
As vines of every species claimed the walls.
Around the side, a window to peek in;
A man in bed with twisted, throbbing limbs.
.
The lady rubbed a salve to ease his pain.
And hummed a long forgotten song's refrain.

I blurted all I'd seen to mom and dad.
He stood in shocked alert and mom grew sad.

How soon the path was plowed into a drive,
A grocer truck and red-light cops arrived.
I last recall a fancy bike, brand new.
Events seem blurred, with growing up to do.

Wishes and Dreams

I wish I could walk, without feeling pain
I wish I could live, my life again.

I dream of a time when I could run like a deer
I could jump like a gazelle, with nothing to fear.

I could climb like cat and swim like fish
I can not do these things, and yet I can wish.

I can dream of a day many years gone by
I could dream and pray for that bus to pass by.

I could dream my mum missed it and didn’t get on
I could dream she forgot, my vaccination had not been done.

I can sit here and daydream day after day, and wish that jab had gone right
I can dream I am fit, but I’m not, it went wrong, and now I have learned how
to fight.

I can if not careful, wish and dream my whole life away
But there is no point in that, that’s what I say.

But the vaccine went wrong, and no wishes or dreams can it change
I just have to get on with my life, there is no sale or return or exchange.

Wishes are for kids and dreams are for bed
I wish I was a kid and could lay down my head.

I am tired and fed up and the wind is so cold
I wish I did not, suddenly feel old.

I am reading this back and thinking boy, this isn’t me
I am going to get up and with a certainty

I am going to fix that toilet for once and for all
Even if I have to rip it off, that bloody bathroom wall.

Self Pity is over and I feel a bit of a nit
And my last dream is I am back in bed with Brad Pitt.

You

I loved you before your eyes were blue
Before your face belonged to you;
Before I heard your voice, I knew
The love I never knew was you.
Long days and nights I yearned for you
Without a name or shape for you;
And when at last I met you
I knew I had always loved you.

And when I lay in bed with you
Enchanted by the night and you;
Holding close the naked you
I knew I'd always be with you.

I See Myself In Her

-For Melissa

She asked me how long does it take to heal
In what time allotment, exactly, will it take
For forgetfulness to become a reoccurrence
A blessing for the haunted
Memories that can be bleached off
White sundresses put on in order to frolic
On beaches with waves washing away
Each grain of him
How long did it take for you to get over him?
Days? Weeks? A month or two?
Hope shining like a naïve flashlight during the eclipse of hardest times
Beaming on me, waiting for an answer

How could I tell her, honestly,
That it took me years
To overlook the smallest details of his smile
How he only has one dimple on the right side of his face
The way his hands felt, every line and crevice of his fate
Thought to fit mine perfectly?

How could I tell her, truthfully
That no matter how many times I washed my sheets
I would catch the scent of him at 3:45 am, sometimes
Or hear his faint tapping on my window
When it’s really just, my imagination
That she’ll spend months waiting for him to text her
Call her, email her, think of her
When really he’s lying in bed with another women but she refuses
To believe that it’s over
Or how my heart still aches, just a little
When I hear he asked about me
Or that he can no longer say my name out loud to our mutual friends

Could I muster up the courage to explain to her
That it took me 2 years, 3 months, and 16 days to realize
The ugliness of being pathetic
It was time to rise up and take the lead
Time to forget all romantic casualties
It’s only yesterday that I found myself straining to remember
His faults, forgetting the man and only remembering the hero
How could I break her heart for the second time by telling her
The truth?

She stood there patiently waiting for me
To pull a metaphor out of a hat, something poetic
Comforting, beautiful, reassuring
I see myself in her
Wanting people to lie to us to see the Zen in ourselves

It’s like we’re all in the same play with the same roles but different names
It takes time for each actor to fulfill the destiny
Others emphasize while others downplay
Moments in time

Premium Member You Think Me Silly- a Rant

You think me silly and verbose
When love is on my mind…
Fickle fickle full of fluff
Love sick, crazy, blind

Deviant...defiant
Sexually overcharged
Big picture oblivious
And from your life discharged

You read my lines and smirk a while
And think, “Oh dear, Hee Hee!”
But when it comes right down to it
You wish you were like me (Women)
You'd jump in bed with me (men)

It might have a one track mind
But of that I am glad
Life has enough to bring me down
Enough to make me sad

I write of love and passion
And feelings so sublime
You don’t need to read me
Nor be a friend of mine!

But of this I am certain
Of this I’m ever proud
Passion is my heartbeat
l let it beat OUT LOUD!

If you don’t like sultry
Want nature writes and such
There’s someone else to read
So, thank you very much!

Eileen

Started on this poem some time ago, but left it unfinished. Not in the mood for something new, so I picked this one up and finished it. I don't JUST write about passion and romance and love, but....it is what I love best. I've accepted who I am and I will fight to preserve my identity. I'm tired of a world of people who are judgmental and stuffy....people who don't know how to FEEL and CELEBRATE passion. Thanks for reading.

Premium Member Goodbye, Good Riddance! (Co-Written With James Fraser)

With no toilet seats carelessly left propped up
Oh, now I can be such a comfortable pup
Please take your Playboys straight out that open door
Then shut it quickly; I can take no more!

Be gone with you, take all your shoes
Your hairspray, make-up and your girly blues
Three weeks of the month you loved me fair
For the other week, I lived in fear

MY shoes? Why you foul beast! Your odor eaters
Didn't work! Your smelly boots rest in sewers
Where they belong with that greasy hair goo
That left ugly stains on pink pillows once new

Your pants were too tight, I couldn't get them off
I can now wear my own; no longer you'll scoff
And as for your cooking my health has improved
Your name on the rent book, phew! finally removed

The credit card tab from your pub is gone now, too
That hussy barmaid can deliver it to you
And your shavings that clogged up my bathroom sink
Will be mailed to your mistress fast as you can blink

At least she knew how to look after a man
In bed with you was like a flash in the pan
At least barmaid Betty purred when this Highlander taunted
She was sensuous, delectable and she knew what she wanted

I'll remember you most when viewing pond scum
You sure were a loathsome son of a gun
I'm leaving this pit, too, so what the heck?
I'll send a new address for the alimony check

You'll get your money like you earned it before
Dancing naked on the pole in the floor
I took you in, clothed, cared and fed
But it wasn't me that was in your bed

I see the bitterness polluting this world
a multitude of evil hides then divides
conquering with twisted visions of democracy
one joke history repeating past horrors return

Hurting innocent people tells another story
bullies who think they are above human justice
aggressors filled with pride in falsehood
you will fall heaviest of all

Suffering fleeing war victims as the devil marches forward
his army is arising from ashes darkness grips our planet
6 children a day dying, 3 world war two show mercy
for the love of all that holds good in this world

Such hardships giving up everything held dear
Look into your soul and know the mortal truth
only the blind hide and do not see selfishness
the one demon followed by others a legion

Fed like animals where is the loving joy that opens arms
Offering comfort to those in need have mercy
Peace unto this world sings with a warm heart
To love and understand our brothers and sisters plea

Please give them shelter
feed and clothe their weary bodies
in their hours of ache
With open arms I pray to God

Your salvation love and understanding the scriptures
we all know what must be done in our Lords name
Protect those families against the demon who hates and destroys families
Watching the news we are tainted with so much ugliness

lies drip fed to us twisted through the master deceivers hallow heart
We all know who sits at the head of a fork tongue
Peace is the way forward as greed wants war
only a fool arms themselves with hate their pride lies in bed with envy

Cunningly cursing everyone
curtains raise darkness you will kneel to the light
With power and glory supreme leader at your command
I bow with open eyes we see the path of complete destruction ahead

Faith is the sword of truth
openly we all should do more even in voice help
Do we stand for something or fall in our sins
I speak one soul because united we are many

Crazy Is As Crazy Does

"Crazy is as Crazy does"

Crazy is as Crazy does

poets and musicians
come undonne
fresh plots
till the soiled, their artful
passion twists

a je ne sais quoi
madness in the measure
of their melodies -
there "It" sits within, an articulate
climbing ivy de Sadeness, when

silence comes to this

words paint a wall
like flowers blooming
tale feathers flying
angels and their demons
swooning,

dance enthralled
across white territory
open spaces
close tired doors
the dead, fuelled and reborn

surrender red flags
in bed with the
romance
of new frontiers
where ancient lovers call

Crazy is as Crazy does

poets and musicians
all cultivated mercenaries
eventually
come undonne
hungry monsters

to speak and sing
of war and love
times past
long ago, and history
yet to come

words worn like
monks wear habits
hearts are verily
strummed warm
then rolled over raw

seeds and wild oats sown
thoughts like manna
placed in others' minds
and on their tongues
to speak and dance

of never-nevers
and cloudy
kingdom comes
impress to all,
heed this, they espouse

it's all quite quite
quintessential
perfectly prophétique,
murdering ALL their
little darlings

fresh plots
till the soiled, their artful
passion twists
Crazy is as Crazy does
the loons all hum and nod

when
silence comes to this

Say You Love Me

Don't say you love me with a rose, your generic lines of poetry reading off like a gift card from the dollar store, your hurried scrambled lines of apology jotted down with a dying pen, Promises of going out for a treat later the next morning. Don't say you love me with a rose.

If you loved me you would know, that being greeted with my favorite flowers was a first, and the smell would be so sweet tears would spring into my garden eyes, you would know that five minutes of careful thought, written on a plain piece of paper would be cherished more than a dollar fifty seven card, and your changing actions and regret filled eyes would speak more words than your scribbled apology of meaningless words.

You would know I would rather be greeted in bed with a kiss good morning beautiful, and the ability to curl up warm against your body again, than risen from my sleep to get a seven dollar breakfast meal at a diner, coffee never sweet enough and a five dollar tip to our waitress, who can't seem to take her eyes off you.

You would know that the way you wash my hair and run your soaped hands over my body beneath the warm water would slip me into a heaven so heated I would not feel when the shower went cold, and that your gentle touch and the growl in your throat would distract me from all earthly things. You would know I'd much rather that, in our cramped little shower, than spend a day at the spa for a treat.

You would know, lying asleep in your lap, my legs dangling from the couch, the overbearing heat of the blanket tucking me in to peaceful dreams, and the ability to kiss your brow and brush your cheek when you were haunted by your dreams, would be much preferred to me sleeping alone on the couch, and you on the floor looking to make me comfortable.

You would know, by my eyes, that I looked at you, like you were all the light in the universe, and without you, I was just an empty abyss. And that you couldn't possibly look down on someone you loved like that. You would know that I deserved more than a generic rose, and store bought card, an apology and a broken heart.

Premium Member A Christmas Eve Tale

Twas the night before Christmas, and inside one house
lay a boy with the age of not yet quite a year.
While his mother lay resting in bed with her spouse,
her small son had cried out, but the mom did not hear.

So he gathered some courage for what he would do,
for this lad had a bed, and it wasn’t so tall.
On one part of the bed was a place to crawl through,
so he crawled to that spot and he let himself fall!

Yes, he somehow had managed to squeeze through that spot,
and the way he escaped made him soon lose his gloom.
Feeling proud, he got up, but the wee lad did not
go directly to Mom. He went to the next room.

In that room was a Christmas tree, prettily lit,
and the boy felt some comfort to see by the tree
the beloved family pet, a huge dog, next to it.
Now the lad, who’d felt scared, was as calm as could be.

He’d got down from his bed by himself with no sound!
His bad dream was forgotten. He gazed at the eyes
of his dog, warm and gentle. His mom and dad found
sleeping next to the dog their young son at sunrise!

The Poem About the Flu

I've been ill with this flu for about a week
Funny how my cough gets worse just as I'm about to sleep
I'm laying in bed with nothing else to do
I may aswell write a poem about being ill with the flu

We all get it at some point in the year no one is immune
You can try to avoid it, but you'll get it soon
It starts off with a snuffy nose, temperature and feeling weak
You'll be lucky if you can go more than a few hours without needing to sneeze

You'll be hot one minute and cold the next
You'll have to take time off work and use it to rest
You can't eat as you don't have an appetite
You'll cough so much your ribs will hurt and you'll have watering eyes

As a man I always have women fell me that man flu isn't real
They just don't understand that men get it worse and take longer to heal
Go to a scientist and they'll tell you that man flu is a real thing
Look at it like a game of chess, the Queen needs to protect the king

I tend to get the flu every year once October hits
Give it another week or so and I'll be over it
Rest and take it easy is all that I can do
I wrote this poem for fun because we all know what it's like to have the flu

The Heart I Never Had Before

Laying in bed with you this morning, your breath hot against my chest.
Hearing the comfort in the rhythm of your breathing, I can finally lay my mind to rest.
I wish I could lay in this warmth with you forever, and leave the cold of the outside world far behind.
As you quietly wake it`s our bodies we can rediscover, we will be alone together and forget the rules of time.

It`s your lips on my lips.
It`s your hands in my hands.
It`s your body close beside me.
It`s almost more than I can stand.
It`s your voice in my ear.
It`s to love without fear.
You are more than I could ever ask for.
My love, your the heart I never had before.

I wonder is this what it`s like to be in heaven.
With you I feel like I`m floating all the time.
I have no other words to use to describe this.
Lost in your eyes, the rest of the world to me becomes blind.
With in each others arms is all I ever needed.
Being so close, my heart melts into yours.
If the rest of the world could see our love than they would feel cheated..
My love....you are the heart I never had before.

It`s your lips on my lips.
It`s your hands in my hands.
It`s your body close beside me.
It`s almost more than I can stand.
It`s your voice in my ear.
It`s to love without fear.
You are more than I could ever ask for.
My love, your the heart I never had before.

Premium Member Waffles

Waffles - Sunday night supper
Butter melting yellow in the
Crispy, tiny square pockets,
Sweet maple syrup and fat sausages,
Glow of lamplight flickering
On dining room window panes
And the warm glow of family
Gathered in happy chatter.

Waffles for breakfast with
Softened butter, cinnamon sugar,
Or strawberry jam, freshly made.
Morning-hungry family with
Plates proffered, everyone clamoring
For “more waffles, please,
And don’t forget the sausages!”
Bathing suit clad, stoking up
For a fun-filled day at the beach.

Waffles, the best comfort food,
Warm and oozing with sweetness
A counter for your misery
When you’re in bed with the measles
And can’t go outside to play.
Waffles hot from the iron
Or popped up from the toaster –
No matter, just keep them coming!
