Turtle and a Hurdle
Turtle and a Hurdle

Trump's stomach looks like back of a turtle
And over things makes it hard to hurdle
Created own line of clothes he calls choral
Who jumped over justice and skipped moral;
Loony and bloomy idiot like crepe myrtle.

How can one survive this quagmire,
imprisoned by live naked wires?
Creating a chronic quaver
like a terribly unstable lover.

Fears should be quarantined
and from its hiding, mental strength mined.
The challenge ahead, not easy to quash
and the ability to, is stained with rash
Damn! What seems quasi-impossible
has been proven completely...

What do I want to write?
I think I will write about all
What is all?
Is it when you have everything?
Or is it when God says you have everything?
What God says matter
If He says you have the whole world
you will have it lol
So what does...

Olympic Hurdle
The arch she holds is quite Roman
The barrel of my pistol is elongated
Click---Click---Bang; the race has begun
Swerving, maneuvering, and dodging
Joined at the hip on the last lap
Cramps begin to set in
Only one will survive
With her intuitive mind she turns...

Poet's Hurdle
Stare vacantly at nowhere
Almost beyond recall
Chase the string of flea in ear
With hopes and iron will

Almost beyond recall
Words seem exhausting
With hopes and iron will
Let the journey keep going

Words seem exhausting
Unravel its quandary
Let the journey keep going
Face the uncertainty

Unravel its quandary
Chase the string of flea in...

I Am the Hurdle
I am the hurdle that needs to be cleared,
The stumbling block in the way.
All would be perfect if I disappeared;
A rainbow would rise every day.

I am the glitch and the knot in the chain,
The obstacle smack in the path.
Shutting me up would be everyone’s gain;
My...

The Hurdle of Hurt
A high hurdle stands in my way
It's growing higher by the day
I can't see past its highest peak
A stream of hurt flows from its creek

The hurdle of hurt is its name
It sets a high bar for its game
I can't see past its wicked bar
I see...

Life, a Hurdle
Like a newborn babe
Girdled by
A colony of ants,
Like a bird in
A wooden cage,
Like a prisoner
In the Bastille,
Each human life
Is ensnared with
A great number
Of hurdles:
The path of life
Is never laden with
Silk and blossoms.
If we endeavour indeed,
We’ll attain life’s ambrosia....

You'Re Facing a Hurdle It's Still the Same Track
Don't think you've fallen
where no one else has fallen
don't think you're fighting
a fight no one's fought

Growing up in a world of rainbows and glitter
shielded from the stress and the strain when you're little
learning balls and chains knock you down like a skittle
now knowing how lows...

There once was a proud lady named Myrtle
To overcome a very big hurdle --
   She inhaled very hard
Sucked up all her lard --
Then squeezed into her wedding-day's girdle...

Life is like a hurdle race
Tangible and invisible hurdles
In your way
Even a childhood dream isn't simple
If you have passed all the hurdles
The world will be your oyster
But sometimes as you look back
You found that you have failed some
And you didn't jump the last...

Hopeful Hope hoped to hop an icy slope,
The hapless slope hampered hopeless Hope’s Hope.
But hope dies last,
And Hope at last
Happily happed to hop an icy slope!

Hurdle
I ran the distance
hurdled the thoughts
the track not clear
in this dismal fog
breathless, fatigued
I jump over them all
the end in sight
one hurdle calls
and as I leap over
I smash into the wall...

The Hurdle
I like to write a poem a day;
I’ve stuck to it for years,
But sometimes there’s not much to say
And no idea appears.

It’s not the same as writer’s block
‘Cause once I get it going,
The words from brain to page just flock
And usually keep flowing.

The topic is...
