Best How Are You Poems
Is everything coming together?
Are things still flying apart?
Are we any less lost when we're born
Than when we finally lose heart?
How Are You Feeling? I
I feel yellow to-day.
I feel as playful as a child’s “Do you like butter?”
amid a field of yellow, waving buttercups.
I feel as naughty as the spiky haired, boldly invading
dandelion’s yellow head, nodding cheekily in the yard.
I feel as pucker up and kiss me as the tart and
tangy lemon’s yellow juices promising to quench my thirst.
I feel as brilliant as a sunbeam shining everywhere at once
without casting the faintest shadow.
Yes, I feel yellow to-day!
Things aren't always what the seem
"I'm Fine"
Pretended to be happy although I was falling apart inside
"I'm Fine"
The years have passed, I am still with tears
"I'm Fine"
The pain rises like a huge volcanic mountain
"I'm Fine"
I have never chosen this pain, and it will never blow
"I'm Fine"
At lonely nights, fear and taste of blood in my mouth
"I'm Fine"
You can't just give up and say you're done
"I'm Fine"

Welcome to my house
Sound from fireplace
Apple just from Garden
Before I leave to sail
You left own manner
but I never mind
World has many roads
Find your own light
I did pay a lot
Make your dreams come true
Now I hope you fine
And I hope me too
Life is sweet again
There is no much time
For your silly things
I hope some one buy
Keep your tricky smile
It has magic charm
Keep your smile and faith
I will never mind
Just do not go down
There are no hands left
Who will take you higher
Even closest friends
We don’t care any more
For your perfect face
All we cared was child
Who deserved love
I don’t care any more
What is in your mind
I don’t care any more
If you have a heart
I don’t care any more
If you have good life
I don’t care any more
Who you love and why
I don’t care any more
If it is true or lies
I don’t wait any more
Wont say
You my life
i dont understand
and i dont get
why my life
is hard to fit
fit with other
fit inside
fit in school
fit other wise
its hard to be me
and no one gets me
might aswell leave
for i am just a rare disease
no one has heard of
no one has seen
no one has never meet me
a guy with no page
no beginning
no end
no one knows
until you get
get into my shoes
get into my brain
then you will see the shadows
were i see the remain
of all lost
the good the bad
the people who have a chance
but never fit in at least
they stay back and relax
watch the world go by
no word or phrase said
until some one notices
and make a statement
"how are you doing,
why arent you out there"
cause i am not good enough
like many others said
so i live behind
the shadows and veins
no one sees or hears me
only gets advice from me
but they dont help
or let me fit in
just help themselves
and let no one else in
that is society
live or betray
become one
or become nothing
that is why so many leave
leave their lifes behind
down in the ground
cause the cant fit in
with out others making a sound
commenting and asking
making fun or betraying
this is society
but i would make my own thing
i would live in the shadow
but make a master piece
of all the people
who dont see me
As I open my eyes at early dawn
Soft sun light streaming through the naked limbs of the old oak
Filter through laced-curtains hung even though its winter
To let in the light by day or the light of a moonlit night
I greet our Maker at first then my thoughts run straight to you
And I wonder how are you? Are you well? Are you awake?
Did they give you a warm blanket last night,
One of the coldest days of winter?
What did they feed you for supper?
Did you stay up ‘till 2:00 as you usually do?
As I go through my day I feel your love trailing me
As I move from one place to another
Embracing, teasing me, imploring, “Come sit awhile with me”
Did you feel my warmth in the letter I wrote?
D'ya notice, I tried to outdo you! You wrote twelve compared to fifteen!?
I need to tell you everyday how much I love you, just as you are
That I thank you for being there for me with encouraging
Words, holding me, loving me, lifting me, accepting me
Just as I am, needing me as I need you, believing undoubtedly
Our long search is over, we have finally arrived
To: My Love, JAM, a gem that is entangled, buried deep in a world not of his making
From: His peanut butter, Sunshine*
The formality of it stings.
“How are you?”
Delivered with a self-conscious courtesy and
a poverty of emotion
calculated to immediately keep
me at arm’s length,
fencing herself in.
There was a time when this
same greeting would
have been prefixed with a
velvet-soft “hey” and saturated with
a low hum of closeness
that instantly muted the world around us,
drawing me inside the fence with her,
accompanied by a slackening
of features and posture,
as if the short separations
demanded by work and
other humdrum inconveniences
of daily life were
reluctant journeys,
and home was wherever
I happened to be.
The piano player in a corner of the bar,
as if sensing the intrusion of
something buried into the world of the living,
the chance encounter of
present with its past,
is now, with a mischievous glint in his eye,
playing the kind of
slow, tinkling jazz tune that,
echoing from many nights past,
is freighted
with a desolation of angels.
We're talking like fugitives fleeing our own shadows,
the plastic pleasantries we exchange
a cover-up,
every word the coded equivalent of
“don’t go there”,
slow dancing
without touching.
Too soon, or too late,
we decide it’s time to put an end to the past-present,
like two estranged parents enforcing an
early curfew on former versions of themselves.
While we're walking away from each other,
the piano notes waft like wayward stars
through the door of the bar,
trailing two ghosts who are,
behind our backs,
eloping into the night.
HELLO HEAVEN, HOW ARE YOU ANGEL
Princess Diana is dead!
What, have you heard, is it true,
How can it be, such a dread.
Yes, it’s true, put on your TV,
And you will see!
She died in a crash in Paris,
In the early morn,
Now we must all mourn,
The 31st August 1997,
Diana the goddess of hunting,
Hunted and mowed down under a
Bridge in a battered up car,
Is now an angel in Heaven.
Diana died in her prime, she generated
Magic where ever she went,
Or was sent!
Her two adorable heartbroken boys,
Follow their mother’s coffin
On a walk of sorrow,
For them a troubled tomorrow!
An envelope on the coffin which simply
Said “mummy” from her son Harry
Had the world in tears,
Their worst fears,
Being how would these boys
Grow up without their mom,
She wouldn’t be there for
Their School leaving prom!
But look at them both,
Such charming elegant Princes,
With beautiful wives,
Kate and Meghan
These four young people’s matchmaker,
Was in Heaven!
The two girls would definitely
Have been Diana’s choice,
For her two boys!
Kate a whirlwind romance, with William,
Britain’s future King,
And Meghan, the beautiful American
Actress presented with Diana’s
Sapphire ring,
Which brought, hope to the world
As international flags furled
And uncurled!
These four have flourished and
Will shortly be eight,
The world seems to have joined hands,
And have become royalist fans,
As a monarchy rather stern
In the past,
Has now became a monarchy,
So in contrast to the past, and
Accepted by the vast!
As Diane looks down with
Electric blue eyes,
And everyday spies
The loves of her life,
Diana their guardian angel,
Their ever faithful,
Charles remains a loving father,
Grandfather, and mentor,
To both families
More and more!
How Are You
By Elton Camp
When a casual acquaintance asks, “How are you”
You needn’t be concerned that you answer true
Even if you actually look and feel as bad as hell
The correct response is, “I am doing very well.”
Don’t any accounting of your many ills begin
It’s a statement with no question mark at the end
Even if you should begin to recount all your woes
In one ear and out the other is where it all goes
Even if you should say, “I am very nearly dead,”
“I’m fine too,” is most likely what’ll then be said
For people very rarely will listen to what we say
They try to be polite, but to escape without delay
If you doubt that what I say is actually correct
Just stop mid-sentence and see if they will detect
panic attacks and hot flushes
we smile at children’s blushes
embarrassment at the slightest error
fills us with terror
just how should we feel
these emotions they cant be real
am i ill or am i not
you cant see any snot
is life normal
or conformal
society has gone astray
for most have lost their way
ergonomic is the word
please apply it to the herd
sculpted to be efficient workers
the ill labelled as shirkers
free us from this hell
please someone ring the game over bell
round two will begin
we will be led without sin
the truth will prevail
the evil go to jail
they've also got a guest on
who suffers from, the inability to burp
he sounds so bored presenting
the thing
as i listen, i notice
the lid of the jar of the piccalilli
it states this condiment is,
'the life and soul of the pantry'
on google i look up images
of 19th century pantries
my wife comes in and asks what i
would like for xmas
i want a pantry
I want to laugh hysterically and cry uncontrollably All Of The Time...
I feel happy and angry All Of The Time...
I am calm and raging inside All Of The Time...
I feel brave and am scared All Of The Time...
I have patience and am easily irritated All Of The Time...
I'm tired and I'm full of energy All Of The Time...
I want to do so many different things and nothing All Of The Time...
I feel so much and am numb All The Time...
I am afraid of dying and want it Sometimes.
Really, How Are You?
The words took my breath away.
How long had it been
since anyone really cared?
Cared enough to ask.
Cared enough to mean it.
--How are you?
Three little words, harmless
meaningless without the pause.
There it was --
that pause awaiting the truth of an answer
and all at once, in my one gasp
so many telltale signs to rescue
at lightning speed threatening a betrayal --
my eyes, my mouth, my breath, my silence!
--How was I?
How, for so long, I had managed to avoid
asking that very question.
Truth was I didn’t want to know.
Content with carrying on, carrying on
with no analysis, no introspection.
My eyes welled, my throat tightened.
--How was I?
It was easier when no one cared and no one asked.
Now I’d have to let the dust settle…
and hope no one asks again.

How are you so special to me?
The answer is short and simple.
Every action has its symbol
Along with the language you use
And that painful hidden scar and bruise.
That’s how you’re so special to me
How are you so special to me?
In around two- or three-months’ time,
You would be receiving my rhymes
As a token of gratitude.
Your care and cure make me conclude
How special you are in my heart
How are you so special to me?
I think of how I can make your day
And try my best to keep you away
From keeping your soul in torment
You would not have time to repent,
That’s how you’re so special to me
How are you so special to me?
I play with words that delve so deep
Inside your heart even while asleep
Your face will not dry from teardrops
Your soft spot never comes to a stop
That’s how you’re so special to me
How are you so special to me?
Well, I believe you’re still here right?
These rhymes are proof that see your light
They would not keep your sprite out of sight
It’s my response to fight or flight
Over my gift I’d never had
How are you so special to me?
This verse has no effect when sane
But hits you when you cry in vain
Take this as some free therapy
Self-reflection makes you happy
That’s how you’re so special to me
WELL,
My heart still beats
As my mind chases my thoughts
that run around teasing my soul.
I'm trapped within the walls of emptiness
My heart half full with broken dreams
And half empty with lost love waiting to be seen
