Premium Member While My Heart Aches

Moonlight will reign when twilight fades
Skies darken and starlight cascades
The world is poised, ready for sleep
While my heart aches, and my eyes weep

Tides continue to ebb and flow
Grief chills my life like Winter snow
Tears borne on waves into the deep
While my heart aches, and my eyes weep

Nights are long as I lie abed
Memories of us fill my head
Time moves slowly, seeming to creep
While my heart aches, and my eyes weep

In restlessness, I toss and turn
For what I have lost, I still yearn
From love we've sown, I cannot reap
While my heart aches, and my eyes weep

Muted in lament are my sighs
So no one hears my mournful cries
I pray to God, "My soul to keep"
While my heart aches, and my eyes weep

As dawn appears in morning light
I'm thankful for passage of night
Across my room, sunlight will sweep
While my heart aches, and my eyes weep

how my heart aches for you
you who do not see
the dainty charm of words
and their sweet efficacy

how my heart aches for you
you who remain unmoved
by the nuances and hues
of rhymes my heart's approved

how my heart aches for you
you who do not fawn
over works of Langston Hughes
and the likes of great John Donne

How my heart aches for you
you who do not feel
the soothing sentiment
of poems that can heal

How may heart aches for you
it aches, it aches, it aches
for you cannot bear your soul
to poetic gust that shakes

how my heart aches for you
for you will never know
the passion that sears my soul
then bathes me in its glow

“If of thy mortal goods thou art bereft,
And from thy slender store two loaves alone to thee are left,
Sell one, and with the dole
Buy hyacinths to feed thy soul.”

My Heart Aches For You

My heart aches for the one I hold drear, for the one I call mine, for the love of the one that I've
held in my arms so tight.

My Heart Aches For You

MY HEART ACHES FOR YOU
by
JOHN M. ARRIBAS

By now, you may have forgotten me
Yet every where I look, it’s you I see
Never to see you again, my nightmarish plight
So I visit our old haunts, night after night
In hopes you’ve returned to fulfill my dream
You and I together, anew, my hope filled scheme
Friends encourage me to find someone new
But, day after day, my heart pines for you

I still frequent the place, where we first met
Love was in the air, romance in bloom, and yet
I silent, hiding my feelings day after day
Remained muted, when I had so much to say
That, I idolized you: and wanted you for my own
Being near you gave me feelings I’d never known
I might find those moments with someone new
But, day after day, my heart yearns for you

I gather with our friends, they speak of you
Unaware of the anguish, I’m going through
Remaining silent doomed me to quiet reveries
Imaginary moments, together, anxious to please
Wonder if she ever thought of me as her lover
She beguiled my senses, I may never recover
I might find peace with someone new
But, day after day, my heart aches for you

My Heart Aches When I Read Poems

My heart aches when I read poems with word play,
Like mixing all colors in painted clay.
Random images just leap out like sparks
The meaning intended misses the mark.
Some write and label their poems a nonet
While not taking time to see what is it.
Writing's a school for learning till the end
Tossed words are not salads we write and send.
Poets take time to weave their creation
Poems are born, like a child of expression.

My heart aches and breaks for innocent lives shed
Darkness is running rampant throughout our land
Lives were lost; the classroom was covered in red
My heart aches and breaks for innocent lives shed
Our nation is not the same cause our children bled
Those kids was all our kids, we must take a stand
My heart aches and breaks for innocent lives shed
Darkness is running rampant throughout our land

Today My Heart Aches

Today my heart aches
for my mum long gone
nineteen years have passed.
Tears fall silently,
my heart is broken,
not like a love gone wrong
but for that person
no one else can replace,
today my heart aches.

My Heart Aches

Life can be so hard sometimes trying to survive
How are we ever going to make it to the other side
Sometimes we wander if were going to unravel
After looking at all these roads that we must travel

It's the Peace that we search for but cannot seem to find
We have so many problems going on in this world all the time
Families are torn apart from all the hurt and pain
Everyone around us seems like their going insane

So tell me what are we to do where are we to go
Who can we turn to when there is nothing left to show
The time that we tried over and over again
We found ourselves wrapped up in all this sin

In order for us to see a change take place in our homes
We got to give up what we want and quit letting our hearts roam
So many today only want what's in it for them
Not thinking about others and not even thinking about him

We say that we will be okay but we know that's a lie
So what do we do, we go on each day just barely getting by
Were always living in this world full of heartache and strife
When we should be living for God and loving our enemies and our life

My Heart Aches For You

My heart aches and hurts without you
my arms want to reach out for you to embrace
and to see your smiling face.

Remember our song "Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain",
oh, so many memories that song brings,
of our courting days, and of other things.

Without you by my side, I feel emptiness,
you my lovely dear are part of me
miles apart and to you I want to flee.

My mind clouded with your image
wished time had shorter days
each day I learn t love you in so many ways.

A Poetic Pearl

Do not say you are imperfect or untrue
there is nothing that presides your virtue
despite what age defects and wrinkles
you are a royal vessel loaded with crystals

Once Auden said in glorification of Yeats
he survived every calamity that hard beats
by his talent of poetry that brought him every rarity
healing herb, perfume, Arabian pearls of unique variety.

Grey hairs in your pockets are just a token
For those who were and are by life broken
Maturity and brilliance are great true evidence
Why sorrows and wrinkles have decorated your skin.

Your aches and pains are by your words healed
And also those of who suffer in their lives and dread
Like thin rains, they drizzle hearts so frustrated
And wake the roots of virgin jasmine and pretty marigold

you are not an estate or property of your own
You are a flowing oasis of verse for everyone
a unique sun that lights, fascinates and warms
hearts that are for love so aspiring and greatly athirst..

A Poem by Lateef Shareef Dhmayd. Iraq.

My Heart Aches

My heart aches to see what mine eyes behold
While in my hearing, many horrors are told
Everywhere we go, true love needs a reveal
To remind the multitudes that hell is real

Children are molested on our daily news
Videos of their deaths bring great reviews
Evil lurks in the darkness of secret desire
As murder is the end of this burning fire

Immorality excused the villain for so long
Saying their past is the reason for their wrong
While murder continues on this rapid path
And the wicked respond in a meager laugh

Condemn the evil and embrace the good
Cry out for love as all of us should
Forsaking the lies of our ignorant ways
Imprisoning the criminal in our days

Evil must be punished to keep us secure
Protecting our children whose love is pure
And put the perverts in a life long cell
Knowing their end is an eternal hell

Heart Aches

My heart aches to be near you. I sit here alone and ask myself why things are the way they
are. I feel so empty and alone. There are times when I get so confused that I don't know
what to do. I think back to the day that we first met at Grand Central. I haven't talked to you
in almost three years now, yet I think of you so often. The sound of your voice still lingers in
my mind. My thoughts are filled with you. I fight back the tears that want to fall, because I
miss you so. There still lay feelings for you within my heart.

When Your Heart Aches

When your heart aches
 mine does too!
as tears run down your face
with memories you wish you could erase
my heart feels like it breaks
but I stand by you and do
 whatever it takes ,to try
to make you laugh or smile
just for a while to keep you
from thinking of what makes you sad.

 When Your Heart Aches, I
want to be the best friend
 you ever had
through the good and the bad
 rather your happy or mad.

 When Your Heart Aches, just
 know I'm here for you
 and I care.

Nothing particular,
then it comes to me.
Like a flash of lightning,
streaking down from the sky.
It’s a thought of you,
and like that flash striking a tree,
my heart aches.

My Heart aches for you Only you can make it Change

Not everyone Believes in Love and Light and Miracles. Not everyone embraces Hope and Faith.

My Heart aches for you
(Only you can make it Change)
By Michelle Morris

My Heart aches when I look at you
I can see and feel everything
I know your Heart, Mind and Soul
Because your Energy speaks so loudly

You're fragmented and forlorn
Pieces missing because of Pain
I cannot Heal or Help unless you're prepared
To Believe in Light and Love

In Hope and Faith and Angels
In Heaven's Blessings for your Life
Because you have severed all connections
To the Power of the Universe's Magic

You've allowed the Darkness to seep in
It's taken hold of you deep down
You don't even seem to realise it
How close you are to Eternal Drowning

And I cannot be the jagged rocks
That my Soul gets smashed upon
There's only so much I can do for you
Before I lose myself and dim my Light and Song

And yet my Heart aches again and again
I don't want to see you live this way
But ultimately I know that you have the Choice
And only you can make it Change
