Best Head Up Poems
Pushed back into a corner by what they claim her to be
They're not the same as what they claim they want to be
Stronger, they are taller by far born to rule and lead the way
She's no good lower class less than zero broken glass
Head down she looks away eyes closed as if to pray
No one listens no one cares no one there to wipe her tears
Who is she to draw a breath every one the fear of death
Must be strong have no fear eyes wide open crystal clear
Moving swiftly crouching low hang on tight don't let go
Trying hard to have a voice pushing forward only choice
Can't go back must push on fighting till the break of dawn
Face turned up feel the sun war is over battles won
On this journey we call life; there will be bumps in the road.
Throughout this journey, doctors preach get tested.
Your birthday is coming up, congrats on turning 40 years old,
Everything in your life you have bested.
“Hello doc, nice to see you again, how is it going?”
“Hey there sir, I am good what brings you here?”
“Well I just turned 40 and want to make sure nothing is growing.”
“Not a problem, let’s get some blood and make sure your clear.”
You give the blood and go about your day,
You’re a healthy man, no need to worry.
Then the phone rings, it’s the doctor and he has something to say,
“Sir, your lab work is back; can you get here in a hurry?”
So you hang up the phone and you rush over quick,
All kinds of scenarios are going through your head.
Nervous, scared and anxious are all emotions that hit you like a brick,
You push that gas pedal like your foot is made of lead.
The doctor sits you down and thanks you for showing up so fast,
“Just tell me doc what did you find.”
“Well your blood work says your prostate is under attack,”
“But don’t freak out yet, just keep an open mind.”
So more testing is done, biopsies are taken,
The dreaded C word has now taken over you mind.
You have the support of friend and family and that can’t be shaken,
Just keep your head up and you will be fine.
Sometimes you feel all alone when the days seem long.
Going down a path where the rights seem wrong.
On the road of darkness.
No lights being shown.
But no matter how far you get.
It leads back home.
So we stay stuck in the perdicament
That you tried to get out of
Climbing out a hole you can't get pulled out of
Spending time on ya knees
Praying for a miracle
Walking with your head high
Even though the pain umbearable
You gather with many
But hold hands with a very few
You can share plates with others
But give your last to your crew
And you can't tell difference
Cuz you can't trust them neither
It's the same face everyday
But showing different features
Click click. Can you picture this
Those same little bastards
Trying to make you quit
Saying they got ya back
But they ain't too legit
Thinking ya'll vibin together
Then they switch up quick
Form:
First,
Second,
Third,
Fourth,
Or
Honorable Mention,
At least I gave it a try
And
I will do it again
Still, I hold my head up high
And why you might ask
It was not I that left, but she
I wear no mask
My deeds are opened
My life is before you
I loved only her at the time
Perhaps her love never grew
Still, I hold my head up high
As she hides from the masses
Although some in secret she sees
We call them the asses
Other know her better
But quiet is their voice
Perhaps leverage was used
And they no other choice
Still, I hold my head up high
As she is out flirting
She is bringing herself down
No words am I exerting
Let the deeds resolve the deeds
Let the blind lead the blind
Strong drink will soon open up
Her words and her mind
Still, I hold my head up high
As drunkenness is now talking
No better way for words to fall
With a blackboard for her chalking
At last she echoes what actual happened
As words stream out loudly
And unbeknownst of ears listening
She beams her words proudly
Still, I hold my head up high
As she is running now for cover
The antidote she never found
To hide her brand new lover
And so she’s vanished, she’s left the state
And smiles are really beaming
Lover’s Lane on Saturday night
With two hearts now a dreaming
I wonder how bright the stars were
When there was no electricity to drown them out
When the ancients roamed the earth
At a time, of building with stones
Did they look up as much
as we look down at our phones?

Keep Ya Head Up
We get in the grip of governments scheme
While we pretend to hold hands in the land of mean
Sporting new clothes & attire
What is my hearts burning desire
Through a whole host of chorus that sings
Let's rejoice & toast to the king of kings
Keep ya head up even in social demise
One word to the wise it's best to surprise
Rise up ole man of God through the shutters
A peril of merciful fate on a latent desire
Through the stained glass window of saints gone before
We keep on knocking on heaven's door
A whole host of emotions lest I implore the opened door
Shattered glass a move to fast out on the village scene
Through viscious insults we evoke the pages in between
In times of trouble fighting back the tears from my eyes
It is no surprise that the late Tupac would promote
Keep ya head up through the pale stars at night
Never to relent in ever giving up on the fight
Through voices in the mere madness with riots in the street
A soldier cry's as a mortar is next to his feet
There's only one chance at this life to never repeat
With a line being drawn in the sand when will we understand

I know you're tired of going through the pain, and tired of standing in the pouring rain. From the moment you were born, a target on your back, facing the sun's warmth, yet feeling the dark attack.
You've seen both light and shadows, pressure on your mind, hold on, keep your head up, brighter days you'll find. Ooh child, things are gonna get easier, hold on to hope, the light shines clearer.
People see just pieces of the puzzle you endure,
Unaware of the whispers, and wounds that feel so pure. They don’t know the terrors that play when you sleep, nor the depth of the secrets, in your heart you keep.
Abuse and sorrow, feeling you don't belong, yet, through it all, you strive to stay strong. Ooh child, things will get brighter, with every step forward, your soul grows lighter.
Keep your head high, let your spirit soar, brighter days ahead, you're meant for more. In the midst of pain, find the strength inside, for in your resilience, your spirit will rise.
It was but a lonely day on that day
Wonder and confusion going through thee
My eye caught something standing in the way
Is that my beloved in front of me?
Such delicate features envelopes her
Like the moon dressed white on a summers night
Beautiful like the blooming orchids were
Yet how could my eyes behold such a sight
We were standing in the front of the line
Our creator passed judgement to us all
There were many names called including mine
To my demise I saw my beauty fall
Her sinful past gave her a place to dwell
But my place was heaven; her place was hell
Watch the tide rise and fall
Just to know you're alive
No one sees what I see
They don't know what I hide
It's easy to drown
In the doubts of your mind
But we're not backing down
'Til the sun warms the sky
Keep your head up
Keep your Heads up high
Inspire your self
And keep moving
Don't impress no one but your self
Yes be in competition with your self
Instead of the world that don't care
Set your goals and get them
Set up another go for it
Be limitless my friend
Who told you you cant do it
You can always get to your height
Your dreams are possible
So Inspire yourself
Never say never
Keep your head up high
Keep your head up high
The world can never come
After you
If you are not successful
Success speak for it self
So is not your fault you got haters
If your are wise turn them to motivation
They never believe in you
But your achievement could turn
Enemies to friends
So inspire yourself
Be limitless
Let no one stop you
Your are already a force
So stand tall or fall below
Despite all challenges of life
Be yourself be focus
Keep your head up high
If you can keep your head when all about you
and they
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too:
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;
If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim,
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same:.
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build'em up with worn-out tools;
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings,
And never breathe a word about your loss:
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on!"
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much:
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!
.
They say it's better to have loved and lost
Then to never love at all
It's a hard thing to swallow
For by the time you think you're happy
It's already time to fall
The bitter-sweet taste of happiness
Only lasts untill you blink
By the time they are reopened
You don't even have time to think
It teases you with envy
Throws mercy in your face
When you start to believe in forever
Its just in time to be replaced
Life demands bling chances
Sometimes you just have to take them
Do what your heart tells you
Even if others condemn
Hold your head up high
Even when it feels too tough
Because the truth is
No matter where you go
You'll always be followed by love
Sit, and meditate
Let your mind run free
Don’t you
Worry about your troubles
The lord
Will make a way for you and me
Its part
Of your learning experience
To see
If you could survive in this cruel and vivid world
That so
Many of us are trying to do
It’s not
As easy as you may think
This is
The real deal and not some sitcom that you see on TV
Yeah,
Some people are living the good life, there’re living it up
While
Others are trying so desperately to stay afloat
Sometimes
It seems as though life isn’t fair
But don’t
You focus on that, you’ll get your fair share
We need a touch of inspiration,
To lighten our pain and frustration.
Despite the sacrifices and amendments,
America remains mad and against us.
With the entire country on lockdown,
It seems impossible not to feel down.
It’s hard for us to keep our head up,
When worldly issues continue to pile up.
Everyone is on edge and extremely sensitive,
An eruption could occur at the drop of a pen.
Race, injustice, and corruption are the triggers,
The black and blue bullets are the driving killer.
An awakened volcano is not a pretty sight,
Any moment it may start yelling at the sky.
Surely people are on the verge of blowing up,
It’s a challenging time to keep our head up.
