Keep Your Head Up

Sometimes you feel all alone when the days seem long.
Going down a path where the rights seem wrong.
On the road of darkness.
No lights being shown.
But no matter how far you get.
It leads back home.
So we stay stuck in the perdicament
That you tried to get out of
Climbing out a hole you can't get pulled out of
Spending time on ya knees
Praying for a miracle
Walking with your head high
Even though the pain umbearable
You gather with many
But hold hands with a very few
You can share plates with others
But give your last to your crew
And you can't tell difference
Cuz you can't trust them neither
It's the same face everyday
But showing different features
Click click. Can you picture this
Those same little bastards
Trying to make you quit
Saying they got ya back
But they ain't too legit
Thinking ya'll vibin together
Then they switch up quick

Your poem touched my heart! May God's blessings touch your situation and make life easier for you. I pray that he gives you strength and may he always walk by your side through life. There are people in this world who will try and make you feel bad. I hope you will resist them and do what is right ~~Darlene

As idealistic as groups seem to be they hate people who seem to be escaping to other things and quickly haul them back to maintain the status quo. For all the abuse Dr King and Mr Mandela suffered they never let go their dignity or their vision.None of us should ever stop striving for a better life. Loved the urgency of this verse. Kind regards, Ian
