Keep Your Head Up

I know you're tired of going through the pain, and tired of standing in the pouring rain. From the moment you were born, a target on your back, facing the sun's warmth, yet feeling the dark attack.
You've seen both light and shadows, pressure on your mind, hold on, keep your head up, brighter days you'll find. Ooh child, things are gonna get easier, hold on to hope, the light shines clearer.
People see just pieces of the puzzle you endure,
Unaware of the whispers, and wounds that feel so pure. They don’t know the terrors that play when you sleep, nor the depth of the secrets, in your heart you keep.
Abuse and sorrow, feeling you don't belong, yet, through it all, you strive to stay strong. Ooh child, things will get brighter, with every step forward, your soul grows lighter.
Keep your head high, let your spirit soar, brighter days ahead, you're meant for more. In the midst of pain, find the strength inside, for in your resilience, your spirit will rise.
