Best Haughtiness Poems

My Solace, a Poet's Thoughts On Poetry

The wonder of nature you describe with the color of feelings
that even the blind sees the beauty, for you anoint with your sight.
From my forgotten core, words you inspire gush forth in indignant prose
like the lion who protects her young, who roars in warning lest she devour.

You lend me insight from your wisdom and give me laughter with your wit,
you pump the pulse in my veins when passion and sensuality is lit.
You kindle the fire in this heart when love is found
and collect the ash from the burnt cinder that haunts, when love is lost.

You hold my breath in exhilaration when I soar to triumphant heights,
the balm that soothes my pain when I’m down, your song remains
the solace I have found when life is hard, and the one profound
expression of the myriad emotions that defy words of common use.

O Poetry, you bring tears to my eyes, when in your lines I feel God cries
as I endure and withstand the ugliness, the haughtiness, of someone’s pride.
Yet with the turn of page and time, you coax from my lips such radiant smile
for with each stage in this life of mine, a poem is birthed, flutters, and flies.

Premium Member Oh, Soul

Oh! soul, strum with every pulse, strings of wisdom
Be in the known, yet, be conscientious of unknown
What you claim to possess, don’t let it possess you
Don’t speak words of sapience, unless you are true
Borrow not thoughts of others, enlighten your own
Never be the shadow that hinders seedlings’ growth
Fear not when truth speaks, for a lie stings evermore
Dispense not haughtiness, when arrogance you abhor
Pretend not to be a giver, if motivation is to receive
Giving isn’t nobility if you deem receiver unworthy
Never teach others that which you don’t comprehend
Learn the ways of sage, inspire hate to seek amends
Judge, only if, you let others adjudicate your deeds
Be cognizant of desires spuriously posing as needs
Engage with humility when your ego dares to speak
Boast not in futility~ time will not bend to your will
Neither can you command a nightingale not to sing
Strive to embrace divinity, be a messenger of peace
Oh! soul, wander not~ search deep within to find it

Premium Member We Are Nasty Women

We are Nasty Women

When we hear haughtiness, we name it
When we see bullying, we blame it

We are Nasty Women

We do not daintily defer
For selfish whims of a saboteur

We will not walk three steps behind
We will not sheathe our sharpened minds

We are logic's clear eloquence
We are unyielding consequence

We are Nasty Women
We are out of many, one

We are the soldiers of every war
We are astronauts and commodores

We are the activists of plundered Earth
We are the executives who expect our worth

We are the advocates of facts, unsuppressed
As we walk the corridors of Congress

And we are far from done.

Premium Member Lacking Eloquence

Lacking

Lacking eloquence
Lector lacking

Bullfrogs and lemmings crooning
In the swamp of dim intellect
Spewing their haughtiness
Through their noses the spittle drops
Collecting in murky waters

Their stagnation hiding within their bubble of hate
When the swamp dries lest it be said
No one will be opening heavens gate
One can not persuade a mind painted in black
They the commoners’ collect like old dishes
On a dirty rack

Should the Cellarer ever turn his back
Plato’s will attack in their packs
Airs of allusive elegance
Slipping away into the darkness
Of extinction

For those with black hearts and feeble minds
They shall never see the ends of times
Only when the white rose comes to full bloom
Shall the meek and kind find their true home
They shall be with angels above

As those assemble in the quire
Songs melodic under the arch
Brothers plotting after songs depart
Time eternal yet as always coward’s preach
Solace coming from wisdom's speak

Their persuasion lacking sincere tone
As the sinners lay underneath cold stone

Dedication

Dedication

The world falls apart.
The world is your hands stretched when
Something within me is a rock worth climbing.
When the reality is worth inhaling.

When the Moon cuts the sanity with its light.

I cannot quit.
I wish I could.
I cannot quit.
I wish I could.
I cannot depict what’s going on.
I wish I could.

We fit perfectly
like fire and black soil,

like disaster and silence,
like pain and victory,
like solemn July nights
and gruesome routine.

I wish I could find shelter
and conceal my haughtiness from the past,
our questions revealing the dark side of being,
our routes unknown.

In my life’s equation
you are thorn, silk and embers.

There is more to dedication than mere events.

I cannot quit.
I wish I could.

Premium Member A Cup Runneth Over

A Cup Runneth Over

His cup runneth over, yet he craves more
As flights of hubris on wings of greed soar,
Rich is the life of caviar and champagne,
Where ruthlessness wins his races in fast-lane
And nightmares roil semblance of sane;
His cup runneth over, yet he fills again.

Some sans much, assert they have enough,
Strengthened by love when times are rough;
Not so for the man, whose soul preens in vain,
When arrogance of ego commands his terrain
As flights of hubris on wings of greed soar;
His cup runneth over, yet he craves more.

Dreams he dreamt once, vacant still remain,
Benevolence of love never could he attain,
For illusory is glitter spurious gems feign
And love is just a mirage phony hearts reign
Whose rhythm never attains lyrical refrain;
His cup runneth over, yet he fills again.

Void of nothingness is driving him insane
While haughtiness tallies his ill-gotten gain,
Detesting ruthlessly woes of others’ pain,
Mocking their misery in contemptuous disdain
As flights of hubris on wings of greed soar;
His cup runneth over, yet he craves more.

September 5 Scripture Meditations Based on Zechariah 1-8

Key Verse – Zechariah 1:6 But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, did they not take hold of your fathers? and they returned and said, Like as the LORD of hosts thought to do unto us, according to our ways, and according to our doings, so hath he dealt with us.

MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR DEALING WITH ME BY YOUR LOVE

Thank You for dealing with me by Your love’s compassionate ways
Despite my sinfulness against Your holy praise
Along my indulgence toward worldly plays…
Please forgive me of my iniquities through Your sanctification-grace.

Premium Member Rx For a Joy Filled Day

**********
Attitude determines our entire day.
Belief in a Higher Power eases the way.
Confidence is strength shining within.
Desire to do our best, is a sure win.
Empathy for others, showcases our soul.
Fortitude, never giving in, is our goal.
Gratitude is an auspicious habit to seek.
Haughtiness is a sure sign of the weak.
Intelligence, be so very glad we have it.
Joy in being alive, a great, blessed habit.
Kindness, yes, show it to one and to all.
Love, share it and have a ball!
Mellowness is a welcome call.
Neighborliness goes a very long way.
Overlooking flaws in others can make your day.
Participation is far better than holding back.
Quietness in tone, when we speak.
Reaching out and helping those who are weak!
Serenity is a key to happiness.
Tenderness, as soft as a teddy bear in the attic.
Understanding others as best we can
We are all part of the family of man.
Xenodochial, means being friendly to strangers.
Zany and fun filled, will keep your mind not
centered on danger.

He Weeps

He Weeps
     By Dane Smith-Johnsen

Holiness harnessed haughtiness.
Heaven's honor hallows humans.
Heavenly hopes happily hail.
Enemies, earnestly enchant.
Endless errors evoke evil.
Exhilaration empowers.
Wait with God while wild wiles weaken.
Whisk away wrath and wretchedness.
Weep whenever wonder withers.
Enemies endeavor evil.
Empathy erases errors.
Exalted ethos enlivens
Endure. Esteem eternity.
Enjoy ecstasy endlessly.
Exalt essence everlasting.
Prideful prancing produces pain.
Particularly preceding
Pretentiousness pomposity.
Sagacity seeks soul's sagas.
Subliminal soothing sojourns.
Sweetest souls’ salvation survives.

Premium Member Prayer For Kindness To Reign

Aware of one's carnal human nature
I confess my own nastiness feature
as well as the lurking rudeness gesture
amidst obviously arrogant posture
irking others in their wholesome venture.

Those traits likewise irritate me indeed
I admit thus with the hurts they can breed
since actual focus is selfishness-creed
in the guise of "rights' exercise I need"
not minding well-being's call for care-heed.

For such, I apologize earnestly
The Lord’s pardon my soul begs fervently
needing His love to move me sincerely
while wishing that kindness I show truly
with faith in Christ and peace to share surely.

My heart prays for the reigning of kindness*
against attacking grievous bitterness
brought by bullies along their haughtiness
or fellows in their miserableness ---
so that hope will shine in glowing brightness.

*Psalm 31:21 Blessed be the LORD: for he hath shewed me his marvellous kindness…

Premium Member Finding Peace

The MAN
 -THE SPIRIT-
       - THE SEED

All dwell in the same abode
In the temple
where they are ripened
to be born -
Conditioned in holding tanks.

THE swishing of moving waters
gentle memories
conditioned in silence.
in holding tanks that were replicas
of wombs.

gentle memories from the world
where angles fluttered.
Imaginations are contagious
we all had the same dream

The MAN
   - The spirit-
       - The seed
delivered unto the
vastness of judgement
hated femininity-
no earthly peace.

When man has the gift
in spite of you,
You insult his dignity.
No peace on this plain-
Your haughtiness,
your naughtiness
naughtiness is too
of a word nice -
maybe babies are- the word
Strange, is better.
 The MAN
   - The spirit-
       - The seed
There is something about the lips -
 Lips,shaped like
 (pictures I have seen)
of cherubs mouths.
But still we have not perished.
All imaginations
could not bear witness
to the same whatever.
someone is sick
caught some disease
came from poverty and
blossomed like a lily in a
cesspool pond.

Hearts seeking
solace inside
The sweethearts
the clean-hearts
deep immersion
where no pain dwells
where the well disciplined
well guided-thoughts
are ushers in my temple.
The inner silence where -
No thoughts run ramped
My peace of mind-
my saving grace-
from the world i have to face.
The flute talks the
flute is my guide
I am still. Just still.

CLEAN-HEARTS
INSIDE-
WHERE
THE INNER
SILENCE RESIDES ...
and no
 creature be despised
neither

The MAN
   - The spirit-nor
       - his seed

Premium Member My Katherine My Spencer

A conversation between Katherine Hepburn
              and Spencer Tracy

My Katherine My Spencer

Oh, my Spencer, you're much shorter than I
I know, my Katherine, but for you I’d die
Would you really, how that does please
Oh my Katherine, you are such a tease

You are the queen of the cutting remark
Yes my Spencer, you’ll jump when I bark
Oh my Katherine, please purr like a cat
Spencer, you know, I don’t do things like that

Your such a tough guy with heart so soft
And you're so engaging yet stay so aloft
My Katherine, what’s with, this haughtiness
To keep you at bay, with your naughtiness

My Spencer, it’s just, the way I am made
My Katherine, no way, will you persuade
This soft heart of mine, to leave you alone
Spencer, you know, that I’m made of stone

You’re up on the screen, all elegant, cold
But Katherine to me you’re a sight to behold
So true, my Spencer, but I’ve seen enough
In your best suit, you still look a scruff

My Katherine I wonder in our film career
Which one do think, our fans most endear
My Spencer, of that, there’s one thing I’m sure
You can count yourself lucky I think it’s a draw

We’ve been so successful, both you and I
Yes, my Spencer, could want for no more
Except I was more so, which you can’t deny
They gave you two Oscars but I received four

Oh, my Katherine, I love you so
Maybe Spencer, but no-one must know
We’ll leave this Earth, one day it seems
And make reality our hopes and dreams

Premium Member I Can'T Answer That

It isn’t the incandescence that bothers me
It’s that anyway you spin the arrow,
Whatever goal or mission or path you undertake,
They’re all correct.
The full force of your efforts is all that matters.
A congress of pelicans came to dinner last night
While I swung scallops at the High Mistress.
The miasma! My asthma!
You’ve driven me right down Knucklehead Lane now.
My knee hurts. I should’ve taken Hertz and
Let the engine roar up into a God-awful thunder.
Jumping in and out of mosques.
Carrying news I can't interpret.
Practicing silliness under the cupboard,
Beside the space that has no name.
I am that space with a wicked haughtiness.
I am also however lofty I dare my balloon to rise,
Navigating my own slim spool.

Dr. Thumbopolis is ready for me now.
Time to stop writing.
Don’t dare bring this back to “incandescence.”
(You horrible hack.)
What bothers you if not the flooding light
Busting through baseboards, then?
Go on. Answer.

The Journey of a Greedy Man

It's a pity to know
That you give away the city;
not out of courtesy for the need
but for the currency out of greed.

One day you will repent
running behind money;
cutting your ties with a knife
drifting away from your honey
being alone in life.

You will cry in dry
No one won't even wave you a bye
or offer you a fish in a dish
It's never too late to realise
That you have a sweet mate

In an ounce of penny
you'll be pounced
as your haughtiness will get bounced
Don't feel flattered;
Else your pride will get shattered!

You'll be shake off by a rake
Your greed will take you on streets
Your end will be in a dig with a pig!
