Premium Member Charm Like Harp Strings - 128 Words

Your mind's in knots,
as stress plagues thoughts.
On hope you cling,
to bloom like Spring.

Its fine my dear,
nerves can cause fear.
Don't be so scared,
gifts must be shared.

Your smile is cute,
when you are mute.
No need to hide.
I'm by your side.

Let the world hear,
your tone so clear.
Your will is strong,
burst out your song.

Sweet sounds you make
our breaths they take.
Look how eyes beam,
your name they scream.

Go to that length,
love is your strength.
Your voice brings peace,
helps fears to cease.

Like sad trapped birds,
tongue holds back words.
Free them from cage,
take to the stage.

When your heart sings,
charms like harp strings.
Look how they dance,
as your tunes trance.

Heart's Harp

Tiny heart soars high in the sky
It raises above, ripping the dark clouds
And talks for hours __ to the Mage of Night

At times, it dives down deep into the blue water
And swims on the back of a butterfly fish
Sometimes rests in a fluffy coral reef__

It walks like a king
In the vast empire of my Mind
Surely, it is the sun of this perfect floral garden

Every now and then, it gets wet
By the glum autumn rains
When it walks on the barren lands

But, it gets up, open its wings
Flies again above the winds
Or slide down with a crunchy crimson leave
To sleep on a noisy pile of sacked leaves

Little Heart's harp is strange
Little heart wants everything

Though, it is enslaved
Inside a in ribs-cage

Premium Member Mournful Harp

As I lie amongst wildflowers
beneath the butterfly weeds,
you pondered, through my mind
as you often do,

delicately fragile
essence bursting free
eccentric, dazzling colours
deteriorating, slight physique ~

weakening petals withered
mournful harps serenade,
sensing your soul has departed
in sorrow, I feel your peace

as I lie amongst wildflowers,
beneath the butterfly weeds
you pondered through my heart
as you often do

A tribute to Emmalene Benson, forever beautiful. RIP

Premium Member Nightfall Harp

It is now dark and under the dome
there are hands moving
inside a home

Notes of angelic sound
circulate the air
wandering beyond walls
flying into the city
making countless calls

Creators of footsteps below the full pearl
tread in the alleys
hearing musical melodies shout out for them to hark
their hearts dance to the hymn
coinciding to the tempo in the dark

Where is that rhythm coming from
There are no signs of the source that show their thumb
Stare at the moon, the nightfall harp is blessing the sadsome

Out there, a hundred miles far
the souls pick up their ear
from the bliss dispersing from afar

Nightfall harp,
where are you
Nightfall harp,
we hear you,
Nightfall harp,
we love you

Happiness shall now come to pass
as the angel sprouts his wings

Hand in hand
the city joins for a holy choir
as their voices wire
blazing spirit fire
showing love a step higher

Premium Member Rain Harp

In the rain, I play the harp
by the higher edge of a scarp
to see the crestfallen town down there
as sunless souls can't sing joy into the air

Miraculous notes pierce the melancholic skies
conquering the storm, in a vortex fading clockwise
restoring bliss to its former glory
in order to happily end this story

Life is twittering of birds you listen
taking a stroll when sky bright and azure
Life is blooming buds of poppies glisten,
Life is all of these pure joys, and puzzling more !

Life a mesmerizing harp strung with hopes,
Life is a chessboard of failures and win,
                         magic in seasons, a kaleidoscope,
longing and loss - passionate love within!

                    gathering stunning colours from rainbow
                         relishing moments, Life is poetry,
charming sights and sounds, pour rain or sun glow,
rivers and oceans - Life is tapestry

blinded with sadness and death, Life is maze…
Life is a galaxy, stars never dim,
                        A Shangri-la brightening gloomy days,
rebirth and regeneration - Life's dream.

angels cannot interfere with injustices
they witness in the mortal realm
their tears we know as drops of rain
may one day drown all and dishelm

angels in show of compassion
do play the harp and throw a rope
hoping those who quieten their heart
will hear their notes of love and hope

There are frigid hearts
and generous hearts
and hearts that are made of gold
	but I know the best,
	aside from the rest,
are the hearts of friends of old.

There are pedal harps
and lever-style harps
and harps that come from time ole
	but I know the best,
	aside from the rest,
are the harps that soothe my soul.

The two together,
barbs of a feather
in idyllic harmony
	but I know the best,
	aside from the rest,
divine synchronicity.

Harp Strings

A life looks out on many scenes with many different eyes
With gasps of pure bewilderment, or sighs of soft surprise,
Though now and then it wanders by the river’s sacred song
It’s mostly when it’s dreams are deep, or when the night is long,
When breezes pluck those russet harp strings fluttering in the trees
The music is so sacred that each note drops to its knees,
And images of red and gold reach out upon the air
Until they drift back to forever, and they spread their carpet there.

A moment holds so many years, that’s how it sometimes seems
Yet there can still be the comfort of a nightlights gentle gleams,
For time can be irrelevant when days and nights combine
It just depends on who is making heaven’s softness shine,
A wish can turn to actual fact when it is asked for long enough
Like when life’s yoke is heavy, and its roads are getting rough,
Then suddenly we hear a song that makes us rest for just a while
And end up touching fingertips that soon lead into life’s sweet smile.

Forever can mean many things that mean much to our hearts and souls
Like teardrops on a Winter’s day or the first dances from new born foals,
A face remembered once again, or a smile across a crowded room
A lantern in a window penetrating through the evenings gloom,
Kneeling down upon the floor and Saying a sweet prayer
Before I stretch and yawn and then go wandering up the stair,
Reaching out across the bed to hug you in the rising dawn
Though some rhymes have passed us by, so many are still to be born…

Premium Member Rain's Harp

Massaging the strings as droplets alight
Dewy nectar of the rainbow's sunlight
Angels' songs take wing -- faithfully
On earth mortals dance - in harmony

Harp notes tremble in graceful time
Arpeggios crescendo to nature's rhyme
Whilst the tempest gathers force high above
Toward its climax ~ a downpour of love

listen to
her galaxies
the far away
her slow dances

listen to
the near and here
her melancholic

in what a world
may androids sing
metallic voice
or sheer the wind

yet I, the wind
oh restless be
and still, my harp
still me

Written November 17, 2013

Fields of flowers
Rest around our heads
While photos of blood
Surround our beds
On pedestals we stand
Preaching to the world
Something foretold
By heretics in white
And neighbors in black
Who claim they already knew that

Rain beats down on my roof
To the tune of Duke Ellington
And to the Scat Man we dance
It's all we have left in this world
Penniless pockets
Play the vagabond game
While the vultures in Eden
Circle the insane
Who hear the angels sing
Refrains and quatrains

Who can be a spokesman
For those who cannot speak
A preacher for the downtrodden
A dollar dropped at hand
For the bum on Main and Port
Traveling through strife
No child or wife
To dedicate his life
No hope to beat his drum
No harp for strings he's strung

A Fable of Death, To the Boy Named Harp.

Here, is a boy that wandered astray,
He went for a walk and got lost on the way,
He tried to find home, wherever that is,
He tried to find comfort that he could call his,
He walked through the woods and past the oak trees,
He followed the rivers and the warm summer breeze,
He came to a house that was rotting away,
He said to himself “Here’s where I’ll stay”.
He was going to sleep when he herd a dull scream,
He didn’t think much, he thought it was a dream.
He woke in the morning tied to the bed,
Before him was a man, who was sick in the head,
The man was curious as to what this boy was named,
When asked, “Harp” is the name the boy Claimed,
The man looked at Harp and quietly said,
My name is Randal, and soon you’ll be dead,
Randal began to inflict horrible pain,
He watched this boy bleed and didn’t refrain.
After weeks of torture and equal unrest,
The boy named Harp made his final request,
He looked at the man that had tore him apart,
And said “Kill me please, and save my young heart.”
The man looked at Harp with tears in his eyes,
He said “sorry my boy. Now you shall die”,
After this man had ended Harp’s pain,
He left the boys corps to rot in the rain.
I guess in the end it was all meant to be,
For death was the way to make this boy see,
He was better off dead because now he cant feel,
Feel the pain he once wished wasn’t real.
He was just a boy with a loving heart,
The story of his life, the boy named Harp.

Parody Song For Lute and Harp

Parody Song for Lute and Harp

The cobbler who mended the princess´s shoes
Fell in love with her feet and declared his love.
But the princess was quite chocked, said…no.

Sad cobbler sat in his shop repairing waders,
Farmer clogs and polished officers riding boots
The cobbler who mended the princess´s shoes.

The princess had shoes to repair, sent a servant,
But the cobbler needed her feet to make a fit.
He fell in love with her feet and declared his love.

He mended her shoes touched her ankles to make
Sure the shoes fit and the princess´s was thrilled
Made him a courtier of her dainty ankles and feet.
