Mala, I love all the imagery you have chosen to describe the vast variety within life's panoply: chessboard, kaleidoscope, rainbow, birdsong, garden, galaxy; but I think my favorite is the memorizing harp strung with hopes. What a beautiful concept - I am imaging a harpist playing a gorgeous melody and my heart soars. A fave for me - thank you for sharing, my dear friend. Blessings ~ John

Dear John, Thank you so much for visiting and commenting so generously on my humble effort. Life is so intriguing, John - we can not really describe life how much we try. I am so delighted to know that you liked the image of a harp - you are one of those harpist, Dear Poet, inspiring hopes in others. Your Fave?! That's an incredible honour - how can I thank you? Best wishes ~ Mala

Life is is a concoction of joys and sorrows, of ups and downs. It is fresh like the poppy buds, sweet like the chirping of birds, colorful like a rainbow and above everything rhyming like poetry or poetry itself- especially for people like us! Life is summed up so beautifully and elegantly, dear Mala !

Dearest Friend Connie, I was thinking of you, wondering if I should write you an email. How are you, Sweetest Friend? I am so delighted you are back to reading poetry again. I truly believe, same like you, that life is poetry - although we all have joys and many challenges as well. We find strength in our poetry, and believe that our thoughts will inspire someone to write, or to live well. Love and blessings, My Dearest Friend ~ Mala

Your outlook on life is mostly a positive one, Mala, based on love, joy and hope. Of course, life is also what we make it, so our attitude counts a lot. ~ Best regards, my friend // paul

Dear Paul, I have to tell you about poetic forms I usually use - I feel very comfortable to express my views in free verse, not so much in rhyming poems. I feel restricted with rhyming…I would go on and on about what life is..if this poem were in free verse. Probably fortunately for the readers, it is not. Thank you for reading my humble poem. Warm wishes ~ Mala

Yes, Paul, I guess, my attitude towards life is mostly positive. When I finished writing this poem, I started another one - about what Life is not…for many people. Born in India, I have seen the not-so-sunny sides of life…I know, life is not a rainbow or a garden with flowers and birdsongs, for many human beings in this world. Good that you reminded me what I was already pondering on…thank you, Paul, your comments are so precious, so valuable, so deep. Best wishes ~ Mala
