She Held a Handful of Stars

These eyes bright
Hair the colour of night
Queen of starlight

She held a handful of stars
She tossed them far
Scattering through,
the midnight sky

The star that landed on me..........
Was my destiny
For this star,
choose to be..............
the star for me

Scattering through,
billions of stars
There is one waiting for you

Glittering glow,
from my chosen star so
Scattered throught the blackest night
This one, I won't let go

This star
So bright
It came so far you see.............
It chose me

These eyes bright
Hair the colour of night

She held a handful of stars
She held one for me
The star she held................
Was my destiny

One for me........
One for you........
Travelling too........
Such stars are meant to be..........

These eyes bright
Hair the colour of night
Scattering starlight

A field of yellow flowers
Sees mirror image

Sunflowers gaze up
Stunned to see there beaming back
Their own reflection

With stretched brows, while sitting in a corner
I look up from my specs just out of love.
As she lays food on table and stoops lower
Snipes me from grace of her body thereof.
With eyes on her I come there as if drugged
Feeling tickling smell of the hot soup.
Now she puts a sheaf of flowers in a jug
And pours in water pressing it in group.
I see how the necks and cups get entwined
With the curls of her hair and points of crest.
See how at each stalk her waist curves defined
Budding, abloom in the shape of her breasts.
Soup and food lay cold and my body warm
As she swirls and whirls her skirt like a storm.

A Handful of Stars: a Collaboration With Mary Jo

A handful of stars

As dusk arrives and the shadows grow
All is quiet as the stars begin to glow

A gentle breeze over the hollow begins to rise
And the grass sways under the clear skies

It dances to an ancient rhythmic beat
Calling forth a song solitary and sweet

A Cricket, its voice rises in the dark
The evenings answer to the mornings Lark

Into the dell floats a single wisp of light
A flame that dances through the dark night

Dancing through fields lil' auburn haired girl.
Frilly lil' dress and long beautiful hair in curl.

Collecting her fireflies in a mason jar to light the way.
An angel’s voice she sings a sweet song while at play.

She giggles and smiles with a soft southern country grace.
As she gazes in the jar and the glow lights up her lil' face.

Proudly she skips back with her prize to her family cabin of log.
As she's greeted by the wagging tail of her faithful old hound dog.

A collaboration with my dear friend MARY JO HOOSE
Based on a beautiful memory from her childhood.

A Handful of Wheat

To sing a song charming and sweet
what I need is handful of wheat,
guess who am I
love that blue sky
not in the Twitter still can tweet!

A handful of buttons, the trickles and rustles ... a nice sound
Sew a button on your hat then you have a very special hat

A handful of buttons, see how they shine in gold and silver
Buttons on a string you have a very special ring

A handful of buttons, ten, twenty, thirty, forty ...
Glue several buttons on your handbag
when you have a unique decoration

A handful of buttons, the trickles and rustles ...
                                               a nice sound
Make a garland of shiny buttons and hang it on your door

A handful of buttons, see how they shine in gold and silver
A small heart box with buttons on

HANDFUL HANDKERCHIEF

I have a rainbow color of like this..
Few things which helps me to be at peace..
It is not that much valuable nor at lease..
Yet, it comes always to graze my hands and cheeks..

I like it with flower prints..
Or even my initials or my name imprint..
I'm one of the few who uses it..
Sure you will find it pass on our genes..

I use it to cover my nose from dust..
I use to gently dry tears falling in my eyes..
Can be use to apply manual pressure..
Can also be use to take away sweatdrops..

My Handkerchief...
Soothes me..
Comforts me..

A Handful of Earth

We are but a handful of Earth ...let go the unwanted ego

Shed that mask of greatness and let the love freely flow

In every act of forgiveness in this very moment

Know you are freeing yourself more, than another with this movement

Reality is in this moment alone

Allow that past to move on and with the future unknown....

The challenge is in this moment that presents an opportunity

to fill it with hope and positivity...

Sense through the sifting sands of time ,watch it flow free on its course

Simply be present in this moment , never be overwhelmed or too morose

Life will take care of you as it always has, since you were born

Don't you worry or be forlorn!

In every new day that dawns, and a new moment itself presents

Refill your heart with hope and be alive to the magic that it actually represents !

Premium Member A Handful of Haiku: Ripples In a Stream

Summer plays 'til Fall
Winter is a thoughtful time
Resting up for Spring

Winter's nearly gone
Time flows into Spring again
Well worth the waiting

Seasons come and go
Ripples in a long long stream
Constant yet changing

I'M a Handful

''I'M A HANDFUL''

"OH MY GOD!", I WOKE UP SCREAMING
MY BODY SOAKED IN SWEAT
BOTH HANDS SHAKING...POUNDING, IN MY CHEST
IN MY NIGHTMARE, THERE SHE WAS, SHOUTING OUT
"I'M A HANDFUL"
AS SHE HAS SO MANY TIMES, EXPRESSED
WITH DEVILISH EYES AND ANGEL FACE
AND SKIN AS DARK AS NIGHT
SHE CAME TOWARD ME, WITH HER OUTSTRETCHED ARMS
I KNEW I WAS IN TROUBLE, I'D BEEN PLAYING WITH THE DEVIL
AND I'M OVERMATCHED AND CAN'T RESIST HER CHARMS
I TOLD YOU I'M A HANDFUL, WHEN I MET YOU, SHE WAS SAYING
I TOLD YOU I WAS WILD AND FULL OF GAME
YOU KNEW THAT I WAS GHETTO
FULL OF BABY DADDY DRAMA
I'M A MAVERICK, NOT SOME PONY, YOU CAN TAME
THIS AIN'T MY MESS, IT'S YOUR MESS
MISTER COLLEGE EDUCATED
YOUR EGO TOLD YOU, YOU COULD HANDLE ME
I TOLD YOU FROM THE GET GO
WHO I WAS AND WHAT I WAS
IT AIN'T MY FAULT, WHAT YOU THOUGHT, I WOULD BE
NOBODY PUT A GUN UP TO YOUR HEAD
WHEN YOU APPROACHED ME
YOU COULD'VE TURNED AND WALKED THE OTHER WAY
BUT YOU WERE SURE YOUR "BOOK" SMARTS
BEAT MY STREET SMARTS, DIDN'T YOU
IT SEEMS TO ME, WE BOTH HAD GAME TO PLAY
I SAW ME RUNNING, IN THIS NIGHTMARE
RUNNING, IN THE DARK
PRAYING, "LORD, I NEED A PLACE TO HIDE!"
'CAUSE SHE WAS FLOATING IN THE AIR
AND CLOSING ON ME FAST, SAYING
"COME ON BABY...DON'T YOU WANNA RIDE?"
WHO ARE YOU TO JUDGE ME
ON THE WAY I LIVE MY LIFE
WHO ARE YOU TO SAY WHAT'S WRONG OR RIGHT
PEOPLE LIVING IN GLASS HOUSES
SHOULD NEVER PICK UP STONES
JUDGMENTS COME BACK AT YOU, IN THE LIGHT
WHERE WAS ALL YOUR JUDGMENT
CAUGHT ALL UP BETWEEN MY LEGS
SHARING IN MY PASSION AND MY HEAT
JUDGING ME, 'CAUSE I GOT SKILLS
AND YOU'RE INTIMIDATED
I GUESS THAT'S WHAT THEY MEAN, BY, BITTERSWEET
TOLD YOU I'M A HANDFUL, SHE SAID
AS I CON TEM PLATED
JUMPING FROM THE WINDOW, WHERE I STOOD
CAUGHT BETWEEN THE FEAR AND LUST
OF WHAT I KNEW SHE OFFERED
LORD I HAD IT BAD...AND THAT AIN'T GOOD
COME ON MISTER BIG SHOT, MISTER ALWAYS IN CONTROL
THIS AIN'T MY MESS, SO WHAT'S IT GONNA BE
THIS NIGHTMARE IS A WAKE UP CALL
DON'T BE SO QUICK TO JUDGE
OR YOU'LL BE MEETING...MORE HANDFULS, LIKE ME!

Naked branches in Winter

The Name Drifting In the Air Became a Handful of Ashes

Where should I go and find the name
blown away in the air it became ashes a handful of memory.

The name I long for, gone with the wind
is the name branded in my heart.
To carry all the way to the burial ground where,
on one day, I shall go and lie my soul and body.

The name which was sobbing in the rain
drenched to the skin,
the name drifted on the flow of water,
the name wandered with the changing seasons.

It may roam in the night sky; become a lonely star,
though there is no allotted asterism for the name’s sake.

The name shattered in the empty air and became a stardust,
lives in my heart, it’s a handful of cold ashes that may be
forgotten as it escapes from the hand.
