Asteroid
You were out of this world
named for the Perseids
the meteor
that exploded in two striking the blue
between the sun and the moon
the massive spark an exclamation mark
that punctuated perfectly my
“hey we’re going to see some awesome...”
fireworks tonight and
a week later
Gravity
led me to you
all arctic and wolfy
all wild and white
a firecracker alright
You were out of this world
a brilliant light in my life for
fourteen years
Graced
after you died
I learned a meteor
had streaked
that very same sky
the same day
my gift from the heavens
the heavens reclaimed

Where Yellow Moonlight Graced Her Pretty Face
When young, so damn foolish in my great pride
I rode the wind, felt like a mighty king
Looking back, find nothing I want to hide
do most of it again, complete the ring.
Days and nights flowing in sweet river songs
where yellow moonlight graced her pretty face
For such times, my soul now so deeply longs
without sad heartache, I want to erase.
Lost times, those nights disappeared into dark
sadness flows in, reminds me of my past
I was once, a vicious beast, hungry shark
the good times flew away far, far too fast.
When young, so damn foolish in my great pride
My darkness did things I can not abide!

a sun-graced sky
whispers early day
a desire to fly
a sun-graced sky
unknown reasons why
the sun and moon play
a sun-graced sky
whispers early day
Reflectively, at peace within my mind
my thoughts upon the words I have to say
though lacking much it's richness that I find
for I am blessed to write them all away.
So often all the words that I have penned
have been the only voice I've ever had
and turning to my dear and trusted friend
I've often sought the comfort of my pad.
Even at a tender age in time
when the only things I had were words and prayers
child like I'd soothe myself in rhyme
as God watched over me and eased my tears.
This gift to me stands high among the rest
and by Gods grace I know I have been blessed.
Inspired by Brian Strands My Sonnets contest
In silent gait you held firm my hand as we walked home from evening prayer.
Where found the organ's diapason full, your sweet voice, raised in hymn, fondly recalled.
Though no words were spoken, your eyes gleamed in the glowing twilight's glare,
Down past the park picnic where Grandpa and you once sprawled.
In Grandma's loving gaze I found a special place,
This woman who raised a family of five girls and one boy.
She possessed a keen wit and timeless grace,
And mended clothes and cooked dinners with joy.
Oh what wouldn't I give...to make this recollection real,
For you left so soon that it never was so.
So Grandma I must wait and hold this memory 'til,
And empty handed, alone I must go.
If ever there were a time or place where wishes could come true,
Again, hand in hand, truly graced, I would walk there beside you.
Graced By Skies With Multi-Colored Blues
Were I to live ruling in my own domain
life would sail with everything to gain
Love would flow freely from a fountain
life as sheltered as snow upon a mountain
Mountains wrapped in those majestic hues
graced by skies with multi-colored blues
Meadows below glisten in panoramic sheen
awash with virgin colors in every scene
Trails swirling through forested stands
blessed travels within beautiful lands
Nature kissing the brightest blue skies
mornings whispering promises of no lies
Each trek an adventure into epic bliss
paradise scenes a shame to ever miss
Every cool breeze a tonic for the soul
discovery the pleasure, the final goal
Seasons set to comfort the spirit of man
adventure in the journey without a plan
Free spirit away from many roads of Rome
a Nature's feast in this wilderness home
As each morn's beautiful Sun did rise
every day in sweet life would surprise
My land, far away in this golden dream
where Man and Nature are a true team
Flying birds plentiful , beauty upon wings
so majestic that each heart and soul sings
Death shall not visit to cast its deep hell
life will journey forever down this trail
Could I ever conjure up this paradise place
Pray a blessing of God's mercy and divine grace!

CELESTIALLY GRACED LOVE
The day has its sun,
And the night, its moon;
I’m blessed to have you,
Each day and its night:-
For your love is as
The cosmic beauty,
Reflecting the shiny glow
Of God’s divine light:-
As you are the ever glowing
Sun and moon of my heart,
May I likewise be of your heart:-
And may God forever grace us
In this onederful onement of
The oneness of our love:-
Grace Of Beauty.
.
Her effervescent summer sunshine smile
Could melt the polar ice and snow
The molecular stricture of the air around her
And her grace of presence
Radiates an ambient glow
.
Such devine beauty as this
Colours this monochrome world
With lush vibrant hues
She is as a breath taking awe struck
Stunning mountain view
That delights one’s eye
And heart smile
With utmost earnest gratitude
.
The most beautiscious angel
Among a myriad of countless angels
The brightest nebula star
Separating other celestial lights by light years
So distant so far
A sparkling diamond light
Set upon the velvet cushion
Of a hear surrendering enchanted night
.
Only such a child of nature
A paragon of outstanding beauty
Could be sent upon immaculate angels wings
From the heavenly gates high above
Could conceive such an ordained gilded gift
To shine her light upon a dark world
And furnish it with unpolluted love.

Oh pitter patter the rain drops fall ,soaking the night floor
Oh morning breaks ,can you here all these little quakes
Oh yes morning awakes.
Soles of passion ,dancing in all their fashion .
Angel in white did you sleep well last night
Flowing trees I'm forever on my knees
A baby born ,please don't blow that horn ,a sleep child graces my arms oh so wild
A father I will be oh so happy little me.
My darling angel graced my life .oh and now we have a darling new child
A family we will build forever I dance like a clown but forever no frowns
A kiss to my wife and child xxxx
I love you all forever
Every time am graced by your presence
It felt like water is sprinkled on time incense
And that the clock ticks out only in pretense
I don't know what you have done to my existence
Every time am graced by your presence
The sun changes turn with the moon
And I feel like a flame is razing my mood
You dip my days in honey pools
Every time am graced by your presence
I feel the breeze continue to blow
And in that little time my heart continue to grow
Little did I remember, I forgot all the woes
Every time am graced by your presence
My tongue just couldn't grasp at words
And my knees shake at the sight I can't afford
In my veins I feel there is been a blockage to the flow of my blood
Every time am graced by your presence
Oh beloved, I don't know what more to say
You are like the rays in my days
Streaming unto my face and making my face glow in such flagrant Way
*** Devoted Desire ***
Beloved! We are circling the world —
Blooms on a headwind, open petals
Swirling.
My desire is seen immediately
Rising — directed to peaks — soon floats,
Easing down
to surf
the ocean’s
Tall walls of mighty waves…and go forth
,To coast on sweeter breezes
Above beaches crowded with
mounds of sand dollars,
where crabs scurry on spindly legs
as if confused.
Visions of our love joined are
Treasure I keep locked within.
All the notes and motions of my desire
Stay removed — from all, but you, dearest one:
My destiny, my love. Our vignette
I bar from any capture
In the mirroring ocean’s surface below,
Or in the diamond black midnight’s
Drawing silhouetes to ring the full moon.
From my youth, I grew always sensing you ~
Somewhere in my future, in that some place
toward which my heart’s yearning
Began its journey,
Searching, for you
With all my breath and prayers;
With my desire ascending in anticipation
On a greater, graced wind ~
No matter the storms or gales to be faced;
No matter the distances to close;
My spirit looks out from clifftops,
rising on the challenges.
Life’s desire bound us to be one.
A greater force set the arrow’s release…
Preface in faith to our first embrace.

Thanks be to God
is it tangible?
is there a texture, taste, feel, depth or sense to it?
how does one take hold of
and look into the face of grace?
hard pressed, buffetted from all around
yet grace breaks through
and provides daily sustenance.
the goal of ultimate perfection
is too huge and overwhelming to contemplate.
it is enough to be well for this day.
day after day
and one day i shall discover
i have arrived at the end.
one day we shall sit in heaven
and chat for a long, long time
and we shall look out into golden sunshine
beyond the laughing faces of our children
into eternal grace and life.
Finding grace, too hard to pace,
My peace is now a rarity.
Moments weaved like silk and lace,
To finish or to bear with me?
Restless nights are torture; I wonder what you really mean,
Frantic thoughts filled with angst are only calmed inside a dream.
Use so much more of me, oh Lord
If it brings more to Your name
More honor, praise
Through all our days
Liberated, without blame
Gather 'round Your people
Teach them Thy paths both straight and true
There's more of You to learn of
We are forever graced by You
