Giving In

The rainbow comes after the storm they say
But my storms are ever lasting
And my rainbows short-lived.
I don't want to know how much I mean to the world,
When the world means nothing to me.
This constant stagnation of life is tiring
And I have waited long enough
To finally give in to the depths
Of the shadows that call me in.
To surrender to the temptation
Of being set free from this chaos that torments me
Is all I yearn for.

Giving In To the Gray

Overwhelmed with fear I whispered into the rain
Disarming defenses, Giving in to the gray
Tearing down all of my shelter within my hollowed decay
While this echoing silence gave every tear drop a name
They begin filling the voids with mundane hopes for a change
Heaven will save me from this hell and blue skies will reign
Lazily lay in green grass watching clouds drift away
It's all but a deflated dream now that the colors have changed
My thoughts have become restless noise of uncertainties rearranged
Damning all of my emotions, lies decorated with grace
Now I stand with a hardened heart in the sobering autumn rain
I'm disarmed and defenseless, Giving in to the gray

Giving In

Lady, I will touch you with my hands and feel your body start to tremble...
Until you give me that "look" to keep going....
I want to taste a Lady like you, have me do what you want
Want to hear your Lady moans, Lady screams....of pleasure and pain
I want to make a Lady like you sweat.... feel you when you're wet
Throw you up against a wall and make you feel weak
I want to see you grip the bed sheets and seeing how badly you need me...... don't fight it
Release yourself to me

Not Giving In

lights peek thru dark clouds
watching, me against the sea
i won't give my catch

Giving In

Just put me on hold while I do this,
Turn me off,
I’ll be back when I’m done,
My reactions are no longer mine,
And if I pass
Don’t worry,
Just think thoughts sublime.

Giving In

The cusp of even tide is in my veins,
It tangles with the seaweed in this heart
By drowning in these lungs to echo pains;
Giving up would drop me from the start.

I shouldn't but increasingly I will;
Determine what shall balance it the most
For every vane of doubt, I can instill
A strength to stop the rage of roller coast.

Where the waves of undulation steeps defy
Then giving up prepares us what to do
Build that dam and say, "I will not die",
Live another day and see it through.

Life was formed to thrill the go betweens'
Those death defying acts, unlike the theft
Of what I use to have, but now that means
I'm putting back what courage I have left.

The pain is real enough

Throughout we must be tough

Life deals with us this way

For some is all play, play, play!

For us it's find a way

To achieve a better day

The rolling hills of life

Down and up; two different sides!

Stress and strain purely to survive

Fragile minds - nowhere to hide

Together with hope and strength we find a way

To live our life a better way.

Giving In

Fight each fight. Find the joy in stabbing the heart of another nieve friend. No way
out for me now;my memory knows to shut the door while my heart waits and
cries hoping you want back in.
In only a dream I can look you in the eye and feel only your selfish hand drawing
me near. As you start to ask how I've been I will casually answer without regrets
or a tear.
But for now,I will wait comfortably by a drafty window in my loveseat most would
simply call a chair. Hoping you will let me know you will not be by in a phonecall
so it would be easier to pretend you care.
A moment of awakenment I can only dream to find.My feelings up until now
have been so fickle even to those, unlike you, were kind.
So fight each fight. deal with your feelings, your temper, or your past. I do hope
one day you win. For recreation, look me in the eye, and stab me with that hollow
gaze, so my bloodshot eyes can see you smile because I keep giving in.

Giving In

I kind of feel like giving up

Like drifting aimlessly

I suppose I already am though

just a dandelion in a fire fight

I’ll burn myself at all ends,

Full speed ahead !

A snail could beat me in race

I’m only pacing my daydreams

I’d never double dare deck my wild fantasies

On the walls that are just as empty as my heart

Me being burnt out at work.

Giving In

I'm conflicted, my head is
twisted. I can't hide my pain
inside any longer. It's breaking
me down. I've been battling an
endless war inside myself. To
headstrong to give into this
aching heart of mine. I'm sick
of it all. In the most desprite
way I need a reset button. I
want to wake and be a new
man. I'm conflicted despite all
the good in my life. I'm forever
a tortured soul. My black cloud
still remains over head. The
sun hasn't shined on me in
days. I'm getting to old to fight
this battle alone. I'm giving in
I need a shoulder to lean on.
This weight has become to
heavy for me to bare.
Weakness is what's left of the
strong man I once was.

Giving In To Temptation

I remember of a particular situation.
I was offered a very "inviting" temptation.

The situation I was in... I didn't belong!
And lost any sense of
"right and wrong."

At first... I felt no guilt or shame.
And brought embarrassmen
 to my family's name.

I tried to explain this to
 my wife and kids.
I heard; "Dad... please...
  no more fibs!"

The Godly principles were
"tossed to the side,"
As the sin inside caused
arrogance and pride.

Soon, all in my life that truly mattered.
Was all gone... and my life
was empty and shattered!

I was sorry for all of the
problems I had caused/
This time... I took a moment to pause/

I cried to God to rescue me from my sin.
And confessed. Would God help me once again?

I read in the Bible of our
 saviour's grace and love/
This time the help I needed had
to come from above/

I asked him for a fresh and brand new start.
He removed the stain from a broken heart.

He restored to me the joy I once had.
I'm so thankful... Jesus has made me glad!

YOU--Jesus--are the reason I'm here today!
I LOVE YOU! More than words can say!

Giving In

A little chill has crept inside
Since summer's skulked away.
At first a sweatshirt does the trick
To keep the cold at bay.

But finally I must give in,
Admitting my defeat,
For up go the electric bills
When we turn on the heat.

Giving In To Your Higher Power

Feels like nothing has gone right in the last little while.
But I still get up everyday and Put on a smile.
I know with the love that’s around me I’m going to get threw it.
But everyone’s all always asking me man whats you're secret and how do you do it.
I say it’s easy cause I know that I’m not cursed.
It’s the path I’m supposed to be on and it’s chosen by the universe.
It new I was headed down a wrong path and needed change.
So not single part of my life it did not rearrange
Cause I was going crazy and off the handle had to be there for my kids and set an example.
I wasn’t happy I was losing all my self love.
I was meant to more that’s what I was told from my powers above.
They said the life I was livin was way to fake. So they had to sent me to the bottom pushed me in the dirt
even threw in a little bit of heart ache.
There was something greater that I’m supposed to do this I now know .
The reason I was pushed so deep in to the dirt was because how else does a seed grow
. I was so bruised beat hurt and tender.
I wasn’t going to fight it no more so to their guidance I did surrender.
I’m going to miss some things quite dearly. But I know thy weren’t never meant to stay. I can see that Now quite clearly. Now that my mind is clear I find it kinda funny.
That I thought the most important thing to get was to make sure I had lots of money.
But when they take everything from you and you reflect on it after.
You see your life wasn’t trial by error but more like trial by disaster.
The things that are important are kids parents sisters and brothers.
So when you think your life is falling apart it’s really just unraveling it’s self for you to see its true colours.

Giving In I Feared

trying to hold back all the tears
I sat there stunned, I was upset
would He give up, give in I feared
He has much to do just yet
heal the blind
feed the poor
to them be kind
to those give more
while I was there I found a peace
His precious heart was one with mine
then I felt a sweet release
I prayed He'd heal, He'd heal in time

Gradually Grudgingly Giving In
David J Walker

The cold holds no such
Color so bold as winters bite
remembering so many a
Summer night
The warm leaving
Sweat so wet on
The back of your neck
in the faded moonlight
that looked for all the same
In December
until you factor in
the distant solstice sun and the
Longer nights

The cold will hold on
As long as it can
Gradually
