This Buds For You

-This buds for you!-
-It takes one to know one!-
-I know you are, but what am I?-

A second hand, on my stopwatch, going nowhere!
You are a joker, a smoker, a midnight stroker
<-------How, about that, Steve Miller song

I'm not here to talk about the way you comment a poem
That's not how I roll, now listen, and listen well,

I don't care, about them words you speak
A whining sheep, every time you don't score
Crying behind close doors,
Boo-Who, I did not place high in so-and-so's contest
Gosh&dammit, not everyone's on a quest
Blogging, about the day, your poem got demoted to nonsense
Trying to comment relentlessly,
You can't top, a mountain that has no setup

I'd rather leave a copy paste comment,
"than being fake as fake can be"
At least, my copy paste was a song,
in which welcome the new poets on
Treating, everyone with love and security
Your invites, are cold and force, to you it's not about community
No motion, to your notion, simple, and disgusting

I don't know why you think, we are competing,
Long ago, I left you bleeding, no reason to be defeating
Your paranoia, has you thinking, it's all about the points,
It's getting old and boring,
You cry babies are nothing more than jokes and hypocrites
Hey you, this ain't dominoes, we done pass every Jo-Jo
When, I have time I sit here for fun, my trigger finger on the gun

Reading, commenting, until my day is done
You think, because someone, left a copy paste
That your poem was not read,
Perhaps, it was not understood, or enjoyed
Or, a welcome to the neighborhood
A nice smile, from me to you
Nice poem, You Rock!
So What! ---- WOW!

This Bud's for you
I think it's time for you to GET A LIFE!
Be glad someone took their time, in checking you out twice
Not, everyone on this site, is full of bull-shit
The smallest words, are more likely to be legit
I don't need and expensive comment,
I don't want to impress, when it comes to the best comment
Please do not make love to my poem!

A nice pat on my back will do,
Now that my friend, puts a smile on my face
To know you care, to know you were there:)

Peace Out,

~SKAT~

The Shoe Store Bantering

She jiggled like pink jello into the store
with platinum blonde hair and red rouge on her face
the shoe clerk mumbled it must be 1950's day
watching her strut around with a hanky made out of lace

She said hi hon you know why I'm here
he replied let me guess, you wear a size eight
she said well if the shoe fits I might as well wear it
and maybe later if you get lucky you can be my date

So she scouted around and found a pair
and sat down with tight dress flair
he thought to himself I think I'm in love with Mae West
looking her up and down and at her chest

He gently took her foot and slid her old high heel off
his hand sliding up and starting to cruise
she batted her eyelashes and said oh keep it coming, she toyed
saying, why don't you come up and see me later big boy

With that he winked and slid the new heels on
watching her walk around like Mae West
she said you know I know you like me big boy
but my eyes are up here and not on my chest

With that he gave her a long wolf whistle
and said you know I just can't resist
now stop acting your shoe size sexy
pulling her towards him giving her a passionate kiss

She whispered hon is that your gun
or are you just happy to see me
he said guess what my little chickadee
tonight you can be my Bacall and I'll be your Bogie

With that she left the store with customers galore
staring, whispering and looking aghast
he said out loud, come on... get a life...
I know we're a little kooky, but she happens to be my wife!

Why do you try to pull the wool over my eyes?
Others can see your own hypocrisy
Often telling blatant lies

That Place

Have you ever longed to go
to the place, “oh, I don’t know”
where never is already over
and the things missing, you discover
were done yesterday.
Where contempt is color blind
and shades and gray, oh my,
are better left behind intangible myriads
of wasted day-----the why of which
eludes me!!!. While the illusions
of truth, weigh heavy in cognizant
apparitions alluding to the
piercing light of righteousness
from the source, always just out of sight.
Yet in plain view of the few who
need him to be there and ready
to pick them up from the pits, of
“oh, I don’t know”- but I know they
are there waiting. Get a life?
No, we had a life and blew it.
Give the baby a chance. He won’t
fight it. Give the squirrel and the tree
a chance, they will delight in it.
Give the day and the light a chance.
The grey evening won’t miss
being as dead as we are.
Give life a chance.
and love, and peace.
yes, and love.

LIFE

Life is sometimes hard
Sometimes complicated
Sometimes good
Sometimes you tired of it
But that’s life

What I really want in my life
Is a very good future
That will benefits me
In front there is a future waiting for me
Time will wait for nobody
So we must the best of it

Struggle for me to get a life
Struggle to win my future
Struggle to fight to be what I want to be
But even sometimes I encounter
Obstacle in my path
But this doesn’t stop me from giving up

I will never lose faith
I will always struggle
I will always fight for my future
Because even if there is obstacle in my path
I will refuse to give up

That’s life
In fact that’s my life
If you want to succeed in life
Then don’t give up

Moth, Light, Gecko and I

I stared at the ceiling in the dead of the night.
Depressed, devoid of feelings I needed light.
Something in the bulb, palpitating in delight.
Enticing like a siren, flashing colours ignite.

Depressed, devoid of feelings I needed light.
A dribbling Moth I espied, duped by the sight.
Enticing like a siren, flashing colours ignite.
'Stop, wake up you stupid Moth' sadly I cried.

A dribbling Moth I espied, duped by the sight.
Moth dived, got scorched on a suicide flight.
'Stop, wake up you stupid Moth' sadly l cried.
Dazed, Moth got up preparing for another dive.

Moth dived, got scorched on a suicide flight.
Creeping Gecko with a dancing tongue, I espied.
Dazed, Moth got up preparing for another dive.
Gecko's tongue lashed out, Moth got eaten alive.

Creeping Gecko with a dancing tongue, l espied.
Gecko looked at me, winked and smiled.
Gecko's tongue lashed out, Moth got eaten alive.
'Snap out of it stupid Man, go get a life.'

Gecko looked at me, winked and smiled.
Something in the bulb, palpitating in delight.
'Snap out of it stupid Man, go get a life.'
I stared at the ceiling in the dead of the night.

The Devil's Wife

Inverse Goddess of life,
You destroy what you refuse to love,
Love not, what your loins thirst for,
The smallest act of pleasure for you,
When you pee, when you poo,
Drives another nail into the weathered,
Worn planks of my life's final platform,
Imprisons my prayer for all that's merciful.

Oh where are you now Love?
I fear my tears fuel your smile,
A new kind of excrement, tears turned to blood,
My saliva is red with remorse,
I bite my own cheeks to mask
The pain of your absence,
My pores sweating blood too,
I contemplate eminent death on the cross.

For you live not for life itself
But in fear of life exceeding your imagination,
Poor pleasure indeed that cannot see
Beyond the Rift Valley that is your conscience,
Spirit cast out, no longer indwelling mortal flesh
Your finger still smoldering from the devil's ring
His gift to all the human race (you are not alone)….
Separation from all that's Holy.

But there is a power in renunciation,
Even if it is not yours, but your masters.
Through fear, through cowardice,
Stripped nude by his hand, modesty in tatters,
You snuggle into His arms, that cold embrace,
And smile, still parted by His quill, and whisper,
'Was it good for you sweetie?'
You settle at last for nothing.

Poet's Notes:
Originally I started this as a poem in which I intended to make fun of a suffering boyfriend who was using his pain to beat up his girlfriend. It still can be read that way. But it turned dark somewhere along the way and not funny, as in get a life guy! Too often we let strong feelings convince us that they must be true because we are feeling them. But really fellow, your girlfriend leaves you and that means she not only wishes to hurt you but is now having sex with the devil? Me thinks you protest to much and that I would probably like her more than you.

you can't tie me down

In spite of any deformities or disabilities
I know that the Lord Our God is watching over me
And the more I realize who I was meant to be
The more I try to hide behind my inabilities
You can't tie me down I now comprehend
That God is only looking at the heart that lays within

I no longer fall prey to those false accusations
That I'm only a product of my environmental situation
You can't tie me down for I am not my mother
I'm a child of God like no other
You can't tie me down so don't use my neighbourhood
To define me as someone who is not any good

Now bold enough to tell the world you can't steal my joy
And not allowing the insecure to use words that can destroy
Breaking down cycles of generational guilt and shame
Now free to function in Jesus the Christ name
You can't use an IPhone if you're stuck on a pager mentality
You're a child of the living God so go claim your victory
You can't tie me down for through Christ I've been set free
Like that untamed colt that Jesus rode towards His destiny

Now I comprehend that God has a master plan
And I may be in a hold pattern until He moves His hands
For God has something in store for me and I need to learn to wait
It might be uncomfortable and it might seem too late
But i just can't lose my faith nor do I need to know the reason
That God will move me when it's my season
And if someone is envious of your blessings and status with Christ
Tell them to get over themselves and go get a life

God will untie and unbind you from whatever is holding you down
He will put His plan in action to elevate you to higher ground
So don't worry about the naysayers, the haters and the critics
Keep your eyes on God by walking in the Spirit
You can't tie me down for through Christ I now clearly see
That God has a great plan for my destiny
You can't tie me down

My Sexy Other Wife

By the time you read this
You may think I’m insane
But I have to lay it out
So you can see it clear and plain

My wife, my true love,
Her name is Jane
She is perfect in every way
And just as insane

She has the qualities that
Every man would desire
But to her I am the only one
That she wants to admire

You think J Lo’s figure is somewhat tasty?
And her main feature, to men would be her ass
But my Jane excels and makes J Lo look cheap
Jane’s ass and perky breast, Ooh Lord, they have class

She loves me like a miser loves money
She drips with sexuality, sweeter than honey
Oh this woman of mine almost broke my back
Six times I thought I was going to have a heart attack

So you may say get a life
But this is my tribute to my sexy wife
She is, everything to me
She is the sister of Glen
My good, my best imaginary friend

Enough Said the male Bird to his Wife

Ye….
Bu….
Ye..
Woman, shut your trap
I can’t get a word in edge ways because of your flap
Let me speak and you will see
It was another bird having an affair who looked like me

Shut your clanging man hole, for goodness sake
Me head is splitting, give me a break
Now you will suffer from lockjaw
As I clamp your beak with my left claw

Who the hell is this other female bird?
I would not cheat on you that would be absurd
Look around we all look alike
Do something useful like loose weight, get a bike
If you keep making a scene I’ll take a hike

Don’t you dare flap your wings at me
With your tweet, tweet, tweet twittering
Leave me alone, get a life
Oh forgive me madam, wrong wife…

Loneliness - A Country Song

I wonder what I am going to do.
I wonder where U are.
& I wonder why the cocktails, are no longer free at the bar.
I wonder why my ankles swell,
And I wonder if U know.
I wonder if the sugar’s sweet, and if ice really tastes like snow.

If you think my sugar’s sweet,
And ice really tastes like snow,
Then I wonder if when you remember me - you’ll call home and let me know.

It would be better for both of us,
If you’d call home and let me know.
Perhaps then, I’d know where to go.

I wonder if U love me,
I wonder if you’re true.
I wonder if the yard guy we hired is really out with the flu.
I wonder what happened to last night,
I wonder why I didn’t know.
& I wonder if you will spit in my hand,
And try to sell it as snow.

If you believe you will spit in my hand,
And try to sell it as snow,
Then I ask if when you remember me you will help me, by letting me go.

It would be the best thing for the both of us, if you would let me go.
I’m alone when I’m with you, alone when I’m not
I swear babe, I just don’t know.

I wonder why I give a damn,
Because clearly you do not.
I wonder when I’ll get a life, and stop wanting the one that you’ve got.
Wonder if I will grow some cajones,
I wonder where mine are,
And I wonder if it’s after five cause then cocktails - are free at the bar.

India

I watched a documentary on India
where a fourteen year old girl
had acid thrown over her face and body
because she didn't want to talk to a boy

Get a life people
perhaps she didn't talk
because you were violent
your act speaks volumes

parents state you will marry this boy
yet it is their body and their life
granted with love
sometime's, adults make better decisions

yet you punish your child
for taking the right
to control their life
they dishonour the family

does not inflicting pain dishonour the family
does not killing your child dishonour the family
does not throwing acid dishonour the family
the world looks on and see's no honour

You create a dowry
to give your child a head start
but now the dowry spoils the male
and create's the death of your girls

you spoil your men
treating them as Gods
yet treat your girls as slaves
honour comes from hard work

the child that goes to work everyday
create's honour
the child that get a good education
create's honour

teaching the male's to demand dowry's
does not bring you honour
loving all your children equally
brings you honour

If my child had been born
I would have loved her
If my child had made a mistake
and gotten pregnant I would have cared

I would have stepped up to help
I would have looked after the child
well she continued to get her education
I would have allowed love to gain honour

You throw your girls away
to save you paying the dowry
I think you should throw the dowry away
to save your girls.

Stand up for life and stop the dowry.

A LEGEND IN HIS OWN MIND

There once was an angry old man,
Who thought he had the only plan.
He was smarter than most,
And of this he would boast.
He thought of himself as just grand.

The angry old man had a wife,
Whose life he oft filled with strife.
He described her as moody.
Just stupid and broody.
She told him to go get a life.

Jack-O-Lantern

Buy a pumpkin, big and round;
Choices at the stands abound.
Pick one with a solid stem –
You’ll know when you’ve found a gem.

Cut a circle ‘round the top;
Dig inside – remove the glop.
Separate each slimy seed;
Patience is what you will need.

Rinse and dry this pumpkin treat;
Spread them on a cookie sheet.
Shake some salt and let them bake;
Undersalting’s a mistake.

Meanwhile, get your sharpest knife;
Time for Jack to get a life.
Carve a face with sneer or grin,
Then you poke a candle in.

Now your Jack-O-Lantern’s set;
Admiration’s what you’ll get.
While you’re feeling downright boasty,
Munch some seeds, all nice and toasty.

Some traditions never die;
This one has a reason why:
Every year at Halloween,
Jack-O-Lanterns steal the scene!

Hodge Podge Two

How does a well dressed man differ from a dog?
It will come to you, if you give it a chance!
Time's up - A well dressed man wears a suit,
a dog - just "pants"!

If there's a cow, that gives no milk,
which would really be unique!
Would you call that cow "a milk dud",
or an "udder failure", so to speak!

If two unfriendly egotists meet,
you know what they will try!
Self-love will rear its ugly head,
and they will battle "I for I"!

Weather in California,
can be wierd, so they say!
When the fog lifts in Los Angeles.
"U.C.L.A."!

Our first president, had dentures!
So says our reliable source!
I'm told what people called them was,
the "George Washington Bridge", of course!

A midget, fortune teller, escapes!
Jail breaking is the charge!
The wanted poster, tells it all!
"Small, medium, at large"!

Sorry folks, I need to get a life!

We never had a gap year when I attended school
Now when I meet those that did, I feel such a fool
While I rushed to get my grades and a job of work
Others lay in bed till noon studying the art of shirk
That must be the reason why in the present day
I seem not to understand a word that the kids say
Like kool and awesome omg laters and cu
Who is Vivienne Westwood or bloody Jimmy Choo
Is Armani Junior child of Monnalisa and Ralph Lauren
What do I say when I’m asked if I come here Ofn
I’m told I have an ata2ud and that I dhac
They say that I’m 404 to goi and that they won’t bcnu
I’m told to go and gal not to be a pita

Final Communication From Vision

Get a life.
Learn to spell.
He's about to drive your family through hell.
He's hurt.
He doesn't know his worth.
This a closed chapter in my life.
I know that I will live well.
Take more notes at church.
So when opposition arises,
You'll be more ladylike,
And won't resort to curse.
All I wanted was for him to succeed.
My advice to you and your family,
Is to stay on your knees.
When disaster strikes, don't call me.
Don't want to hear of his tragedy.
Call Jesus!
I don't want to hear from you or him,
Anymore, but I'll still pray for him,
To walk through God's open door.

I Must Cry

When someone like Bob Simon dies.
It's quite appropriate that someone cries.
It's not enough to breath and sigh.
It's only right that I must cry.

My macho male sentiment.
Ends up with just a little dent.
For shock and sadness wins the hour.
And in my heart tears start to shower.

Some might say, gee'z, get a life.
But we all know that our world's rife.
With pain and sorrow of many kinds.
And it is love that the heart finds.

So rest in peace our dear Bob Simon.
I'll still be here with my rhymn'.
I know now that the streets are paved.
With memories of those lost engraved.

FAME SHAME

FAME SHAME

The world is almost blind
Everyone gone so wild
Rather chose to be crazy
Than to get a life that’s too mild

They catch instant fame
A center of attention
But behind those bright lights
Such a mad humiliation

Overwhelming mistakes
In exchange of popularity
Just to be further discussed
In a virtual online community

Reputation is forgotten
Time can heal the shame
Put your name in stardom
Your greed should be blamed

Heartless Hunk

Heartless Hunk goes through his day
Never knowing what to say

Believes that love makes him weak
So he stays a gadget geek

Heartless Hunk has got the look
He’s an “A” in every book

His smile sets your world on fire
He’s every silly girl’s desire

Heartless Hunk can’t see you cry
He prefers to say, “ah…..bye.”

He’s stuck in the caveman days
He grunts to show you his praise

“Heartless Hunk please learn to feel
Or her heart you’ll never steal

“Heartless Hunk, please get a life
Or you’ll never find a wife!”
