CITY GEOMETRY
I’m on big town
Inserted
Yea, transplanted
Within its swaying wave
Of box and angle
Where my self-identity
Is something throbbing
Upward gazing
Arrowing
To sky points
So, it’s confusing
The hate-love factor
Stiffness
Restriction
Formal sharpness of angle
A quite eye bewildering sight
This swirling circumference
Of a giant
Fractured
Circle
And oh!
The Stravinskyish
Jagged continuity
Of line
Of dissonance
For distance
I follow parallels
Lines receding
With absolute straightness
There a promise of
Those cherished
Fading meadows
Of nature’s roundness
Her natural sweetness
Suddenly!
I take a ninety-degree angle of turn
With mandatory city goose step
Toward sanity
Toward home

Two lines intersect
an inherently
unstable situation.
Parallel lines
are better
each proceeding
separately in
the same direction
balanced by forces
of attraction/repulsion.
But if these change
the lines diverge
or intersect (see above).
Sometimes two
intersecting lines
may align
with a third
forming a
triangle.
Which is stable
but generally
disapproved of.
Very occasionally
two lines may meet
end to end
and curve
to form
a circle
which is
One.
Basic geometry’s based on four axioms,
Something that many kids study in school,
But a fifth axiom’s needed to prove it all,
This is where things start in getting real cool.
Really this axiom sounds very theorem like
Many have tried just to prove that it’s so
Math is not science though, stunningly math’s pure thought,
No underpinnings suggest where to go.
Science is tied to the world where we find ourselves
Math seems to find itself on other planes
Yet in creation math finds applications new
Funny how much mathematics explains
Love’s exegesis resists like fifth axiom
Should be much simpler, still it just is
Minds get all blurry when sniffing its trail bizarre
Alternates pop up like girls in show biz.
So if you find yourself stewing in limbo’s pot,
Give her a slide rule for Christmas this year,
Sure to last longer than roses or candy will
Then on Christ’s Birthday buy pizza and beer.
Good which we give ourselves to seems to multiply
Friendship, geometry, love fares the same
Love’s future story line ties us to God’s heart strings
God’s mathematics! Erased is all blame.

Circle
I mean
One circle
Encircling you and me
And some other bigger and smaller circles
Let us draw some quadrilaterals of different sizes
Place those quads in and out side of the circles
Now you can see
The house
We live
In
Here
Right here
You are just a Carrom man
Strikers are busy with you
Playing the game of "Strike and pocket"
Let us draw some parallel lines
Which will never converge or diverge
You won't be able to encompass those lines
Those are drawing a new picture
Picture of a relationship
Name it -
Friendship
Carrom Man : disk of Carrom
Drawing lines between shapes of grief
Going in circles, awaiting the lietmotif
Now just a side of a triangular run.
With defences up like the Pentagon.
Then finally looking Love square in the face
While Hope's line slopes down in disgrace
Calculating a Geometry too disjoint
For Love to have a basic point.
life is geometry
minus all the postulates
and all the theorems....
Parallel.
They said if our worlds ever existed,
It would be in parallel.
But when you gave me that sideways glance
I turned my chair perpendicular to avoid the trance
You cast on me.
And with as upside-down as my life is now,
My rubix-cube thoughts couldn't see how
This was meant to be.
Forgive my criss-crossed crooked gaze your way
But my tangle-angle heart wants you to stay.
And now I begin to see........
Like two dusty snowball spheres, our worlds collide,
And spatter beautiful flakes of brokenness
On this universe of We.
And now I begin to see,
Our worlds are meant to be
Everything....but
Parallel.
defying nature
lines broken into corners
and jammed into space

Geometrical,
Math'matical poetry.
Hmm…Lobachevsky?
Geometrics &
Math'matics & Poetics
Think Lobachevsky.
Well. How 'bout Riemann?
Zeta function says it all.
How's that, professor?
I have fun with the world of geometry
The square, the rectangle and the parallelogram
Oh' the trapezoid and the rhombus
The triangles, the isosceles and the equilateral
All are a great tight family together
The circles and ellipses are closely related
The formulas of geometry try to memorize
The areas and circumferences
The diagonals and angles
For the trigonometric functions
You discover a new world
The sines and cosines
The tangents and arc tangents
If all this is not enough to entice you
Most probably now you fell in love with geometry
I have fun with the world of geometry
The square, the rectangle and the parallelogram
Oh' the trapezoid and the rhombus
The triangles, the isosceles and the equilateral
All are a great happy family together
The circles and ellipses are closely related
The formulas of geometry try to memorize
The areas and circumferences
The diagonals and angles
Learn the trigonometric functions
You discover a new world
The sines and cosines
The tangents and arc tangents
If all this is not enough to entice you
Hopefully and much soon you probably
will fall in love with world of geometry
The willow stands bifurcate ramifying and tall
The bees protect amber hued honey which is hive’s soul
Looks peaceful and plain but there is something inspiring awe
Something behind the hemp among hills that roll
The great fields green and gold
The sun in the valley its visage is about to unfold
Beneath the rich foliage stands pyramid huge and tens of thousands years old
It is truly glorious wonder to behold
Ancient cultures by building pyramid to death would respond
They believed the pyramid to be gateway to world beyond
But I believe that we can use soul’s pyramid to open the door that magnified cells has spawned
Physical God’s dream powered in spiritual dream finding essence that can excel soul and beyond

Geometry (?e?µet??a; geo = earth, metria = measure)
is a part of mathematics concerned with questions of size, shape,
and relative position of figures and with properties of space.
(uncountable) The branch of mathematics dealing with spatial relationships;
(countable) A type of geometry with particular properties;
Geometry is one of the oldest sciences. ...
Carefully plotted geometry,
builds beautifully plotted cemet'ries.
Polished tops of mahogany.
Carefully stitched embroidery.
Painful lives we lead,
no one will ever truly know,
when you're underneath the ground,
shoulders turn even more cold.
The grass will be green someday,
the headstones all forgotten.
As little children play,
over those who've rotten.
And so time goes on,
Loved ones lost and gone.
Where once sad tears created ponds,
have now become another's lawn.
Why are u the only thing on my mind?
I'm trying to pay attention in geometry.
Why can't I be without u,
Without losing my sanity?
Why do I need u in my life?
Why must u be different than the rest?
I try to be happy on my own,
But your my biggest test!
Oh crap, Mr. G just asked me a question,
And I don’t know what to say!
I haven’t paid attention this class,
In fact I haven’t all day!
I was spaced out in geometry
And daydreamed through phys. ed
Now i'm supposed to answer #8
I need to start using my head.
I think the answer's 32
No, wait its 33.
When I answer everyone laughs
And I sink into my seat.
I’m not on the right question,
I’m not even on the right page!
Everyone is staring at me,
I feel like I’m on stage!
Should I sing a little song,
or break dance on the floor?
I look at the right question,
The answer's 64.
Thank God it's finally over,
Everyone looks away.
I look at the clock, and sigh in relief
Because there’s only 10 minutes left of the school day.
I blame this all on you
Because your always on my mind.
I can never concentrate
Cause I think of you all the time!
