Every day is a fresh start, a new beginning.
We can reinvent ourselves
We can be revitalized and inspired.
We can instill hope and love in others.

Every face we make, every word we utter
Every movement of our eyes and smile
Can uplift and enthuse
We can indulge ourselves in positivity.

Each day is a new day.
Yesterday is gone; it is foolish to chase it.
Today is a blank computer page.
A canvas without Gesso.

What we decide to do today
Can make us a hero or a villain
Can uplift and inspire or bully and oppress
Let’s be revitalized and refreshed,
Let’s instill love and hope

The Bloom Dance

New rains kiss the earth,
Seeds sprout from the darkened depths,
Life dances anew.

Heartbeats of Now

The sun still rises,
Savannas awaken with hoots,
Life breathes, heart still beats.

I wish to have a do over
A truly fresh start
To have a new beginning
With a fully redeemed heart
To be more connected
More engaged in every part
Recognizing life's true blessings
Knowing, where Thou Art

I know my life has meaning
For I have listened to Your word
Crystal clear thinking
For Your lines are never blurred
When I call out to you, Jesus
I know that I am heard
For within my very being
My spirit is deeply stirred

Nothing compares to you Jesus
The world's allure, it now seems pale
The things that I chased after
Now, seem so cold and stale
When I didn't heed Your spirit
I was destined then to fail
Until I reached for your hand
That was pierced by an iron nail

My God, is the God of new beginnings
Do overs and such things
My shackles fell away
Under the light that Jesus brings
My sins have been forgiven
I'm protected by His wings
Within the very Heavens
More than one Angel sings

When we embrace God's Kingdom
Our lives become true works of Art
New beginnings only matter
If we choose the right place to start
So place those heavy burdens
At the cross and press restart
Nothing compares to Jesus
He promises to heal your broken heart

My friend Christine Cloutier asked me if I had any poems on Fresh Starts so I wrote this one for her upcoming Art Exhibition. I am looking forward to reading this one and another poem called Better.

Again, I was freed from a mad hurricane
Call it by any name, it's still the same
Two eldest siblings, lost their lives in the dark
Freedom implores fresh start.

I needed to search, to find the right key
To set free, the rainbow that is me
I lied, and lived life as pseudo art
Freedom implores fresh start.

I wove my very own hand-made strife
Piled firewood burned my studious life
I was flown to the U.S., to carve life like a star
Freedom implores fresh start.

Meanwhile, my two eldest siblings made the family proud
From in the days of carefree years, I'd known dark clouds
Sometimes discombobulated, I couldn't see far
Freedom implores fresh start.

Until sky-light rain song transported my soul, as I wept
Until I envisioned my better self in depth
I never saw love, and life from God, as supreme art
Freedom implores fresh start.

Now, I live to learn, and hope my lessons show
I can pause and ponder where I choose to go
I'll wake and meditate, keeping light my heart
Freedom implores fresh start.

A Fresh Start a New Beginning

by : Sashi.Prabhu (zeauoxian)

The day before yesterday was laced with dismay in every possible way,
Yesterday was better but has into the backdrop faded away.

But today is another day,
New stuff to think, do and say.

Today I will brave the world all alone,
And enjoy my freedom full blown.

I will live life with zest,
Try neverto do things second best.

I will live to be sensitive,
Towards others be more receptive.

I will live to be forgiving,
Be more tolerant and caring.

I will speak to all who walk my path,
Make peace with all and unnecessarily not unleash quaint wrath.

I will correct all my wrongs,
And tell this to all by making them my songs.

I will proudly write notes about the new me,
And publish and upload them for all to see.

I will work to be creative,
And learn to open my mind’s eye and not be obstructive.

I will always proudly wear my own neoteric attitude,
To succeed, master the skill of gratitude.

The day before yesterday was laced with dismay in every possible way,
Yesterday was better but has into the backdrop faded away.

And today is the right day,
To commence these fresh new things that I write and say

How does one measure the past twenty four years
When smiles were so rare, drowned in many tears

Amidst trials and tribulations, the kids were our cement
Sadly glossing over our background with damaging intent

Trust went out the window, events were never discussed
Before I knew where I was, my life's in blatant mistrust

For many nights awake trying to decipher my way out
This I managed to achieve, now livings in with a shout

Separation, preparation, as I look to my future now
My flat, my music sanctuary, it's me that now allows

My future road I'll walk, but I'll never walk alone
For a Spanish Princess appeared, with I, she'll share my throne

This beauty who's entered my life, both to have a fresh start
I thank you my beautiful Lorena, from the bottom of my heart

The Fresh Start

THE FRESH START

She knew it wasn’t love
She knew it all along
But what her head told her
Her body did all wrong

And when he strayed with one
And when he strayed again
She vowed that she was through
She’d stay away from men

She went out for a drink
She did have three or four
And when she had another
He steered her through the door

This new guy was a gem
He treated her like gold
The jerk was in the past
Her story now is told

Fresh Start

If time is not linear
what does that mean
with no start or end
Is there no between
is my past all ahead
my future in the rear
did I die last month
will I be born next year
does what I do matter
has fate already dealt my hand
and with no real challenges
where does a man take his stand
this is the challenge I face
as I awaken to my inner truth
the more I learned
the more I realized
how little I really knew.

Putting the pandemic on the run
Awakening hope for everyone
Enlightening hearts with truth that comes
From hearts who guide through trusting
The One who created this world and gave us
All a reason to give without conditions
The gift of sincerity, grace and mercy
The gift of faith, hope and love that survives
All the worst pains, sorrows and tears
Piercing the heart with gentleness that flows
Through the veins of those who know
The USA needs a leader who is selfless
Filled with grace and willing to answer
To God, the One who can give us a new start!

A Fresh Start

A Fresh Start

A New Fresh Start I now must make
A know that this is no mistake
This new beginning might be hard
A new task that took me off guard

I will not sit and sing the blues
Nor will I send out more bad news
Challenge I'll embrace day by day
Asking for Strength along the way

With His help I will do my part
I'll trust His leading from the start
On eagle's wings I now will glide
God is certainly by my side

I just can't walk with my head down
Nor walk around with ugly frown
I'll sing out with new attitude
Face this challenge with Gratitude

Fresh Start, Let It Go

What am I holding on to?
That has been making me blue?
Why can't I let go?
It was/still important, I know
But it's unrealistic to think
It will be the same
damn happy thing
always

So please let it go
before it's too late
It'll drive you mad sad crazy
because everything is (already) going pretty bad

And you can't stop time Really
Or reverse time
Or slow it down
Or pause it

All you can do now is to be strong
and grow
and please please please let it go
