Best Fool Around Poems
Dear snake charmer, i see you brought your lucky charm
Go ahead and tame the poison in my bloodstream
Quell the anger in my snare, do the impossible and tame time
Make the audience clap for me, or you
Who cares anyway? as long as we steal every ounce of their attention
I just wanna play a little, fool around without sinking my fangs into your warm skin
I forgot how to kiss so all i'm left with is a hiss
Toy with my body but make sure i don't wrap myself around you
For the last time i hugged a charmer, i stole the life out of his eyes
Play me a song with your flute but ease up on the volume
I wanna hear your heartbeat as it echoes in the air
Say a little prayer for me, maybe you can cleanse me of the sins of my father
The one with the lethal tongue that lied to the children of eden
So how about you play that song for me
JGM
Left Memphis on a southbound bus.
Entered north Mississippi as I knew I must.
Turned toward the Alabama line.
Spent the next couple hours dreaming you were mine.
Dark tunnel, no light either end.
Took a swig from my hip flask, she’s a pilgrim’s friend.
Straight bourbon in a long slow pull
Kept me warm till we turned into the terminal.
I’ve got those freeway jitters and a case of creeping frost.
I’m like fire when I’m loaded. I’m like water when I’m lost.
I’m here to meet somebody.
Like to get to know your name.
Here to meet somebody.
Just exactly why I came.
I’m here to meet somebody. Yeah!
And I think it’s you.
Short order at an all-night grill.
Grabbed a seat at the counter near a ketchup spill.
Black coffee, thick as hot-melt glue;
You’re the cream makes it smooth and you’re my sugar, too.
Low volume with a mellow sound.
You don’t play, but dear lady we can fool around.
Chaude soirée sur la Rue Le Monde;
Take my hand and we’ll waltz into the great beyond.
We’ll dance a slow explosion, spill champagne on the bed.
Love those tiny little bubbles when they’re going to my head.
I’m here to meet somebody.
We can order ala carte.
Here to meet somebody.
Drive a steak knife through my heart.
I’m here to meet somebody. Yeah!
And I think it’s you.
Left Memphis like a prison break
For a Birmingham blessing and salvation’s sake.
Don’t have a decent alibi,
Just this old-time religion and a pecan pie.
Here is my next sports rap poem. Jim
Round of Applause
Already now I must admit
What is it we have to hit?
How about homer with baseball
Not strike three they did call.
Why fool around and always fret
Should kick a goal into the net
Don't continue to turn and toss
Should go at and play Lacrosse.
How about football you will boot
Run and produce a lot of loot
Or hear those in high society
Prefer polo and love rugby.
No matter where chips may fall
God's life in you will be a ball
And who if in always do believe
Round of applause will receive.
WOW. Double WOW, and Triple WOW.

Whack that ball; don't hit a tree
Be conked out in the head you see!
And don't hit into the rough
Oh my gosh; that sure is tough!
Or maybe in "the zone" you'll be!
I'm going to make it to the top,
Where all my goals and dreams are bound,
I've got to make it to the top,
I don't have time to fool around,
I've been so down and low before,
In lifes real ups and downs,
Now I know life shares more,
Where all my goals and dreams are bound,
I thought I'd take a chance with you,
And you'd share these dreams with me,
Though, youre goals and dreams seem few,
So, I'm going to leave you be,
You have your own life ahead,
And I feel you don't need me,
What I've seen instead,
Is you're needing to be free,
I may miss your soft warm touch,
And all your gentle grace,
Though more than much,
I'll miss your smiling face,
I'm going to make it to the top,
Where all my goals and dreams are bound,
My hopes and endeavors shall never stop,
Until I'm touching solid ground.
They say home is where the heart is but for me that isn’t true
Because my heart is out there somewhere,
Riding along with you……
When you’re gone.
Well every now and then you’re on the road again
But I know I have the strength within to carry on
Because my love for you is strong and I know that you won’t be gone that long.
Well I can’t wait for you to come home, cause home is where you belong
And I know you left your heart for me to hold when you are gone……..
So when you’re gone……
I won’t disappoint you,
When you’re gone……..
I won’t let you down,
And when you’re gone……..
I promise to you baby,
I’ll never fool around……..
When you’re gone…….
They say absence makes the heart grow fonder
For me I know that isn’t true, cause I don’t think I could love you more,
More than I already do…..
When you’re gone……
Well every now and then you’re on the road again
But I know I have the strength within to carry on
Because my love for you is strong and I know that you won’t be gone that long.
Well I can’t wait for you to come home, cause home is where you belong
And I know you left your heart for me to hold when you are gone……..
So when you’re gone……
I won’t disappoint you,
When you’re gone……..
I won’t let you down,
And when you’re gone……..
I promise to you baby,
I’ll never fool around……..
When you’re gone…….
They say our hearts come together, a little at a time
And one of these days you’re going to be, right hereby my side,
And I’ll wait for you every morning, morning, noon and night…….
When you’re gone……..
They say home is where your heart is but for me that isn’t true
Because my heart is out there somewhere, riding along with you…….
When you’re gone…………
A noun
It stands on solid ground
And may not want to fool around
With a verb who’d need to prove
That it could rouse it, make it move.
An adjective might think it best
To decorate it, get it dressed.
And prepositions, have you heard?
Connect them to another word.
Yet out of all the nouns I’ve known
Some prefer
To stand alone.
The End.
The New Tomorrow
Shopping street posh boutiques, perfumeries and cafes plenteous
something for all to eat and drink. My wife has gone to buy a dress
and I wait with a glass of red wine, as usual, when we are out and
about in town. There are no cars in this street and children are free
to fool around, I look at them and wonder what the future holds
for them now that the world is about implode. When they are only
allowed to express an opinion that is the norm. Should they fall foul
of this edict and, the powerful listens to their thoughts, they will be
pushed out as the spoilers and have only themselves to blame, for
not being submissive. And the new adults will be conditioned to
have no mercy for losers of this sacred joke of an evil democracy.
But the edifice of human greed will fold one day, nature will see to
that, reek destruction that few humans will survive. So play now
little ones tomorrow has nothing to offer but the suffering caused
by your antecessors who willfully took his pleasure and left you to
suffer the consequences.
Listen, Listen, Listen -
Open up your eyes and ears
See the starlight, watch it, feel it as it
Glistens, Glistens, Glistens -
Reflecting coldly off the teeth between the gears.
Run, Run, Run -
Come and see what's going down
Watch the people, hear 'em, fear 'em with their
Guns, Guns, Guns -
No time left for us to fool around.
These things we're doing can't be right
These deeds done in the dark of night
We'd better stop to answer all the calls
From the Other Side, stop writing on their walls.
Look, Look, Look -
Read the things we're posting up there
Know the meanings, seek 'em, find 'em in those
Books, Books, Books -
That is, if you really care.
Getting, Getting, Getting
Ask yourself what you really want
Taste the bitter, weigh it, say it while you're
Fretting, Fretting, Fretting
Over all the things of which you're not so sure.
These things we're doing can't be right
These deeds committed, dark of night
We'd better stop and answer all the calls
From the Other Side; stop writing on their walls.
These things we're saying can't be true
These things we're writing can't be what we want to do
We'd better stop and listen to the calls
From the people on the Other Side, and read the writing on the walls.
There’s a young girl that delights in the rain
She wants to play, to fool around within
There’s not a better place to run again
The field that’s wet, fun’s about to begin
She wants to play, to fool around within
Nature has ways of bringing some beauty
The field that’s wet, fun’s about to begin
Nothing has more life than the rain you see
Nature has ways of bringing some beauty
As the shower allows for fun to come
Nothing has more life than the rain you see
The girl sure has a lot more fun than some
As the shower allows for fun to come
There’s not a better place to run again
The girl sure has a lot more fun than some
There’s a young girl that delights in the rain
Russell Sivey
Queen of Cheat
Queen of cheat
From head to feet
Born to fool around
With sight and sound
Trick people in and out
Convince them truth is a doubt
Good intention is ultimate justification
To mess up any relation
Innocent smile guilty eyes
Raise suspicion and many whys
Evil deep down hidden
False reasons given
Sneak to the surface and sting
And dive back to the bottom and sing
The victorious song
How to escape after doing wrong
The two syllables name
Rhyme with damn and shame
Long Way to Go
No time to waste
no time to rest
got to get on my way
'cause times gettin' short,
an' I got a long way to go.
When I got up this mornin'
grabbed a quick cup of joe
jumped into my car
and down the road I go,
'cause times gettin' short,
an' I got a long way to go.
No time to smell the roses
no time to see the sights
got to get on down that road,
'cause times getting short,
an' I got a long way to go.
Why all the rush?
Why all the dust?
just running on down that road,
'cause times getting short,
an' I got a long way to go.
Each day that goes on by
is one less that I have,
don't have time to waste,
no time to fool around,
'cause times getting short,
an' I got a long way to go.
As dawn floats calmly in my
bedroom, moving slowly
across the room. She begins
caressing my nude foot evenly,
waking my strength and
stiffness to a glorious
good morning.
Her quiet warmth and light
gently brushes my cheek.
I open my eyes and breath a
sigh of release,
as her heat
hovers and rises
above my sheets,
drowning me in tenderness.
My body tingles, then
stirs as birds
chirp and sing
on easy trees.
The aroma of coffee
and comfort arouses my
senses as they fall from a
breeze through an
open window.
I long to fool around
in this moment all morning,
but life requires me to
launch my routine.
I stretch for heaven, and yawn,
as dawn floats calmly away.
I remember you kissed me inside and out
Against he confines of a foreign couch
Drag your finger along my jaw line here
I love you so much. I feel like i'm going to get sick
I look around and see through a haze of lights
The windows of your car are fogged and lusty
Your lips are so soft and sweet and harsh
Lacrosse and football that’s all you talked
I ache! I ache! Lets loose ourselves
We snuck traces of each others skin
While spinning stories about the 49’ers
A campfire around me, I smell smoke.
Baby you wont, burn, oh baby.
You worked at a prison
Dirty little waterfowl, hear that gun pop
Watch the sky turn red
Lingering in the store front openings, smiling in boots
A dimple to close to your illegal mouth
I’m so Cold, I’m so cold
Little tokens, food and gifts
Your skin, your eyes like sweat and dirt
Near you I smell blood and exhaust
I never wanted to tell you I loved you for someone else
Pitter-patter scrapping huff
Touch my lips and tell no one
Hear that pretty baby purr
My best friend liked you so it never happened
I think you had grayish hazel eyes
I thank you for punching the love of my life in the face
Goodnight beautiful, goodnight, goodnight
Watch the sky bloom and burn with lights
Acrid fuming burning smoke
In a bed, in an RV, please don’t make me go in the water
Don’t yell at me! Don’t you sit there and yell at me!
Goodnight Handsome, goodnight, goodnight
I like the way you turn red
Like a sun kissed glory, like a broken bleeding mouth candy
Keep running, keep running, tell we outrun temporary.
Lets fool around in this Christian school
Lets be honest I don’t love you
I never will
You’re a smart boy, wheat colored hair
Glide across that water, I smell smoke and I am burning
You brush my lips and ask what’s wrong.
I cry I cry
I don’t love you
Hollow, hollow empty soul
I call you crying my love eternal
The phone rings, it rings twice
You pick up and you’re all alone
“ I can’t talk because I love you.”
All alone, broken scrambled.
Call me back…
Heaven doesnt let you call collect
Form:
Momma, Why Didn’t You Want Me?
Momma, why didn’t you want me or even let me live
to be given to somebody else?
Why did you let that Doctor kill me and allow
for such overwhelming pain you must have known it was what I felt?
I wasn’t the one who hurt you
for as a person I had yet to be born,
were you afraid of what others would say or
were you afraid of facing their scorn?
Now I am back in Heaven with the Father and Jesus
their loving arms welcomed me in,
but I am worried for you, my mother
for killing me because to God it is a grievously and terrible sin.
Will you repent and come to accept as your Savior the Lord Jesus
then, His blood will wash this act of murder away,
or will you go on to kill another, and another baby
just so you can fool around and play and party day by day?
Oh, momma please repent and turn
away from this wicked lifestyle,
to follow the Savior and be filled with His love
and never again your body to defile.
Know this my mother,
I have a love in my heart for you,
I’ve forgiven you forever and now I want to
know you and spend eternity in Heaven it is true please know I do.
