Winter’s Fantasies
Winter walks the mountain hills at nightfall
Breathlessly awaiting evening’s first flakes of snow,
An alpine carnival that rowdy clouds threatened to toss upon their faces;
When, at last, the brumaled storm releases a snowy masquerade
Sweet serenity fills dusky eyes with wistful fantasies of twirling snowflakes,
Visions of barren aspen arms embracing shivering jewels of glittering glitz,
A carnival of crystalline jubilee in wind whipped flakes.
Winter smiles as the evening sky slowly turns her dark side inside out
From black to white to turquoise and to blue
The moon slow pulls herself above these mountain hills in festival
To ride a winter sky watching over midnight’s silver shimmering earth
Alive with twinkling moonbeam stars, bright refractions of sisters in the sky,
When the mountains glimmer cold as midnight – blue as stars –
Wearing new ermine alpine furs -cloaks of argent sparkle.

Sweet fantasies I harbored of you and me.
Once were clear, crisp, vibrant sensory
visions. Now, are nothing more
like they were before.
Although you
swore,
we both knew,
you’re not looking for
someone to always adore.
Edges take on a haze mentally.
Sweet fantasies I harbored of you and me.
Complicit in our nightly rendezvouses
The moon and stars, my heart's accomplices
Clandestine lovers take celestial cues
As we fulfill the soft night's promises
Conspiring with my heart, the when and where
We meet in places only they can know
Reflecting from blue eyes and golden hair
They greet my heart and lend their heav'nly glow
And then in silence watching from above
Seducing with romantic ambience
They blink and blush as you and I make love
Two star crossed fools locked in our heart's response
The moon and stars bring nightly fantasies
For passing ships that sail on starry seas

Rendez/vous (voo), vouses (vuz)
i was six and you were nine
you would pack sunlight into a jar
tell me it was mine.
at night it lit my room.
when the stars were out
you'd throw stones to wake me up.
butterfly nets in hand
we'd catch stars from the sky
save them in our pockets.
i'd hand you my water gun
you’d load one at a time
pull the trigger
and yell
"quick wish on a shooting star."
now twenty and more old
i still have the jars
i still own every wish
i uttered silently
on those moonlit eves.
it was you
in my dreams
in my smile
always kind.
i only had one wish
you and i
clad in the innocence
of those times,
of dreams and laughs
i only wished
it would never end,
and your sunshine
safe in my memories
our childhood sealed in those jars.

Wonderful love dreams thrilled young Cali.
She sung of such with good friend, Sally.
Extraordinary and precocious,
her thoughts felt expialidocious.
Expialidocious were heart thumps.
Precocious fantasies raised goosebumps.
Sally thought her love, fragalistic.
Cali said, "joy's not fatalistic."
For Cali, hushed love was great enough.
Night Fantasies - As moonlight blankets us in passion
Crystallized moon beams
Fractured light of endless desire
Shimmer around you as our eyes meet
Beneath a canopy of hazy luminance
Pearl buttons glisten as fingers touch
Your smile grants permission
Leaving me breathless
Serenity of the night serenades
Our hearts beat in silent yearnings
Lips find your flesh pure
Your neck sweet of perfumed nectar
A sultry sigh floats wispily to the misty heavens
As we sit entwined neath barren branch silhouettes
Exploring each other amidst swirling winds
A foggy shroud lingers silently
Desolate this rendezvous, hidden hillside
Your dark cloak drapes me, floating quietly
Mysterious against this crushed velvet sky
As beauty falls like summer rain,
Drenching my sight with you
Entering the realm of my longings
A full moon stares down
Happily enchanted by our movements
As the slumbering horizon beckons
And still I gaze upward at your charm
“I love you” I sough, feeling every pulsation of affection
Blissfully seeking the depth of the evening
You peer down through hypnotic lashes
Harmonic moans sing in a sensual duet
Echoing through tree lined shadows
Increasing in tempo, you fall to my lips
Tongues dance to the melodic rapture
Fevered vibrations rhythmically sway
Clutching my arms, arching auras lift
Your hair like chocolate ribbons flowing
A shooting star trails your breathless sighs
Euphoric fuses ignite within, exploding
Illuminating your smile, your face
I rush to meet you, simultaneous sensations
Quivering stardust ecstasy shines
Collapsing into my loving arms
As moonlight blankets us in passion

Good Night Soupers
Such golden galaxies of heavens light
Treasured footnotes kept unto my care
Hope's silhouettes that shine each night
But that by God's Grace did let us share
We danced through each gilded beams caress
Away to such distance we'd dare not guess
Entwined in arms our hearts closely pressed
From pleasured love that sought nothing less
With each full moon's glow I'm carried back
To one nights life lest be swept by time
So sure this hearts echo will never lack
No truer passion found from any rhyme
Memories gathered from beams of light
Shall prevail forever with loves sight

I see moon-leaves on trees
Your cascade of hair too
I see passion in a blue spree
Waiting for me and you
And I say to myself in wonder
What a moonlight splendor
I look at starlit mystic sky
Sprinkling love in your eye
So very close to me
Exciting the lips of my sea
Purple dreams everywhere
I say to myself in wonder
How beautiful you are
Golden silence of moon
In your look a lagoon
I will write a poem on you
You on me
And we both of us will be
In our moon beam destiny
On me and you
Moonlit dew
Asking us to say
I love you
I say to myself in wonder
In your touch my harbour
Now let us go to the boat
In our moonlit coat
We two will be one
Except the moon none
Will paint our passion plunder
I say to myself in wonder
What a moment to surrender
Our joyous existence
In a pink to each other
And to our heart’s content
Drink the unique nectar
Of our merger together
I say to myself in wonder
What a fusion fire here
In the moony infinity
We will feel and see
The intensity of our deep night
In the clashes
And the consequent flashes
Of ecstasy
That shakes the gravity
Into a sudden full empty
I say to myself in wonder
What an ocean we are

I longed to live
In a blissful bond
Of fire and fragrance
In those tender terrains
Where dreams were born
And love was free-
Those charms and cheers
Of bloom and bliss
Like Autumn flowers
Were stolen by season:
Seasons bereft of dreams...
Dreams forgotten at dawn.
I live to love
The bond of bliss
Between fire and fragrance...
As stars snug scars
And gains garnish pains
In a romantic reality-
I live to love
This terrain of truth
Bereft of fantastic fantasies
Of flawless flowers
And beautiful butterflies
In unseen golden gardens.
My deepest fantasies are high.
Into the deep I would not go.
In them, I'd soar with birds in sky
and watch all things that are below.
All on my own, I long to fly.
My deepest fantasies are high.
I’d drift with wind where I’d belong,
and with wind's whispers, I would sigh.
No revelries of wealth have I.
I’d rather lift like a balloon.
My deepest fantasies are high.
Perhaps I’d even touch the moon!
My body once again would be
without its pain, and I’d feel spry
while moving like a dream and free.
My deepest fantasies are high.
concur in the nights under the starry eyes.
..with romantic winds blowing ...
.by the sea shore..
.with waves reaching and touching your feet
...sands of heavenly bliss.
..forbear the stress and just lay down in my lap
...get cordialized by the dimness of the sun
..
.feel the nature that invigorates...
walk over bridges of peace and love with thick layer of leaves in fall.
...
get acquiesced by the nature and breathe in the heaven leaving the abyss behind!!!!
fall deeper in the depths of uncertainty....
You are my life and in that I believe
Always my love will be only for you
Flattering though that sounds I must confess
My first love is chocolate - sad but true
Sensual visions to capture the feel
Bringing the contours of wind sculpted plains
Hold that thought even though I love it so much
Must let the dog out before he drives me insane
Shimmering soft on the eclipse of love
Cloudless these evenings of star sprinkled mist
Just looked - no lustrous stars in this sooty sky
But stay for chocolate drizzled cake - I do insist
I drink in your fragrance
Tasting the flavors, your moistened lips
I heard something of interest today,
Chocolate doesn’t go to the hips
Kiss me ‘midst the maples
Kiss me ‘long the shore
Kiss me o’ my precious one
Now and ev’r more
Its thirsty work I must confess
This kissing and walking along the shore
A chocolate sundae sounds rather good
At that quaint little place that I do adore?
I see, I see, in front of me
Dessert, dessert, set out for free
My! you do know how to set the mood
I can’t go past this - you do know me
The night feels right the lights are turned low
What’s this the video has stopped? Hello!!
Johnny has left the building? Just when I wanted more
No matter- my debonair poet of delight
Conjure me up some George Clooney tonight
Well set aside your chocolate pie
For Hollywood is coming by
And as you explore your favorite star
I’ll enjoy that Hershey bar
Oh Fickle Heart chocolate second placed?
From gold to silver - it’s now displaced
Footnote:
I’ve used George Clooney as he is globally acclaimed as the most favored flavor in the ratings.
Personally, I favor the more 'Bono' type - (I love his voice)
Paul David Hewson, known by his stage name Bono, is an Irish singer-songwriter, musician.

Responsibility looms in the wings
when innocence begins to disappear.
For you no longer get away with things,
and quickly learn never to volunteer.
Eager for your debut upon life's stage,
you put away your illusions of youth.
And your endless world shrinks to fit your age;
trading tall tales for reality's truth.
Being an adult means you obey rules,
stand by your decisions, and go to work.
And gaining tolerance for inept fools,
who act like jerks or simply go berserk.
While childhood fantasies begin to blur,
sexual feelings start to grow and stir.
Loner waiting, watching the women walking,
planning murder, grinning and chuckling softly,
stands in shadows, touching his hidden dagger,
choosing a victim...

It makes a heart glad to know
there are still, small country towns
like Woodford, where homes
with large old trees,
sit scattered between small shops
and local businesses
To think the spirit of Elvis exists
in a greengrocers’, called, “Grapelands.”
‘Elvis Parsley’ swivelling his hips
amongst the carrots and parsnips
imitating “Blue Suede Shoes."
I select a punnet of strawberries
as a smile slips out at the absurdity,
of how, some live out their fantasies
“Blue blue “…you can do anything
I cross the street to check out
a “Second-hand” furniture store.
It is closed so I cup my hands
and peer through the window.
A group of old, store mannequins
piques my interest, draped in 50’s fashions
It seems like a time warp, as there
are no opening hours posted on the door.
I wonder if the mannequins
are an eccentric collection,
or, if they were for sale,
which one, I would buy,
The one, with eyes, demurely cast down,
or, the arm-less one,
looking enviously past her
Back on the street, I inhale sun-warmed earth,
as I walk past a garden’s bright picket fence.
A shiny black crow flaps up, startled.
Suddenly I smell, what the scent of home
is like, for someone else.
