as he enters he switches
off the lights

particles of light peep
through the blinds
the air filled with tension
we haven't been here in this
space in what seem like ages

the smell of flowers so
overpowering
I shield myself from his gaze
his hands move over my face
he gently kiss my nose,
slowly moving to my forehead

the ease in which he does it
calms me
serene in preparation
as he expertly yet gently
awake all those senses

which lay dormant

the moment is now
it is just the two of us
while we explore -
flirt with the senses

the shadow moves over our
naked bodies

Exploring the Sky

By clasping the lightning string
I reach the sky
Wondrous view there, I spy

Sitting on the fluffy clouds
I roam everywhere
Outspread clouds, my magic chairs

Crafting shapes out of clouds
I drive a dinosaur,
Sometimes rabbits, lion and omnivores

Goading the animals
I explore the sky's grandeur
And search for the heaven's door

Seeing a big dark black figure
I shout aloud
He does magnetize all the fluffy clouds

No shades of blue, all black now
I sit on top there
Wondering, is everything fair?

Suddenly the thunderstorms drum
I cascade down
As a raindrop and reaches a town

On seizing me
A child in the town, grins cheerfully
And the entire town, receive me gladly

Glimpsing above
On seeing the dark black figure, they bow
Gratitude for having his darshan, they show

Not all angels wear white dress
Plenty of them are in disguise
I perceived!!!

Exploring nature what do I see?
your beauty looking back at me.
What a pretty bird and bee.
The wind softy blows,
kissing the rose.
Peace by my side,
your pathway is my guide.

Exploring Deep Space

Earth is but a tiny speck of color, spinning round and round
orbiting the sun in the ebon universe without making a sound.
Come and lay beside me in a meadow and let's pretend
we're floating in space where dreams never have to end

Let's visit the constellations in the depth of celestial skies
Dance from star to star, amazed at how they mesmerize
But we dare not try to catch one when it falls from its place
Stardust does not belong in an hourglass on a bookcase

A meteor shower in the distance, lights our way for a time
I have questions, like 'why' or 'how' to write in poetic rhyme
On we go to distant planets, harboring in the universe so vast
I wonder when it had its beginning, and how long will it last

Planets with moons and galaxies are yet to be unconcealed
What astronomic marvels will then be wondrously revealed
Be careful of that magnetic black hole, trying to pull us in
helped by a strong stellar wind that's tossed us in a tailspin!

There's danger from a solar eclipse when we couldn't see
we were headed for Mars and not the moon's Sea of Tranquility
Being extraterrestrials was a chance we were willing to take
but traveling weightlessly in the cosmos is not a piece of cake

Unlike Buzz Lightyear, who can navigate 'Infinity and beyond'
we have to find our way back home without a magic wand
There's no USS Enterprise and Captain James Kirk in command
Our attempt to explore deep space was not very well planned

We wouldn't want our astral journey to disrupt a galactic zone
and like ET, it will be impossible to call home without a phone
Amid the pendants of planets, hanging on a black velvet drape
we'll have to pretend we're on a spaceship to make our escape

Exploring Expressing Emotions

I write wildly,
Expressing, emoting
Fierce,feelings flowing
Quickly, quietly through my head
Placing, pen on paper
Releasing, recurring ,wraths within
Clearing, cleansing, the clarity conquers
Images influence entirely everything
Piles of pictures purged from my mind
Silencing my souls, shadowed secrets
Freeing a forbidden feeling of my past
Slowly, solace seeps
Renewing and refreshing
Entirely everything
Free to forge forward
To try to trust

                  from brutal, frozen wilderness
                         - healing and wholeness
                 Doorway to breathtaking adventures
                 ... endless paths

Exploring You

My eyes see you...
Time stands still...
My fingers eager to explore...
Lips moist and sensual...
Your scent is on me...
Holding you tight...
Dreams entwined....

Premium Member Exploring Panic

If troubles were akin to veils,
which on their own do not one blind,
when multiplied can quickly smother,
overwhelming smothered mind.

But tearing off these piling veils,
is not piled order in reverse.
Instead chaotic - scramble, tangle!
Multiply their tangled curse.

Then sight and breath and sound collide,
while screaming darkness suffocates.
Distorting light and air - perception!
Baffling perceived escapes.

A muffled groan, a desperate cry,
or catatonic muteness follow.
Desperate to gain control,
still uncontrolled I wallow.

And only when the quiet comes,
when heartbeats soften in their stride;
can disentangling veils be loosened:
Senses lost, revivified.

If troubles were akin to veils,
then one grand gesture could unbind.
But some veils are of fragile weaving,
leaving woven wisps behind.

So when again the veils start piling -
panic follows troubles' creep...
And all those bits of veils remaining,
add their remnants to the heap.

New veils then blanket older threads,
thus enhancing the advance,
of hopeless swaddled suffocation -
panic's suffocating trance.

So if my gaze is affixed blankly,
and my ears covered with hands...
Veils may enshroud my existence,
veils and existential strands.

Consciously Exploring My Purpose

Consciously exploring my Purpose

I am spirit having a human existence, that, I can clearly see
I am here for a special reason, for there is no other like me
As I evolve I seek my purpose, and am consciously exploring
With special attention to my talents and where my life is going.

My thoughts are really powerful, so I try to be constructive
This vibrational energy is real so is best when in the affirmative
There is abundance all around me of love and peace and health
Opportunities flourish so I channel them to my wealth.

Wherever I put attention and focus this produces my reality
So for my actions and communications I take full responsibility
I give thanks for all my blessings, I find them as I reflect
This attitude of gratitude brings the abundance I expect

I give willingly and it often returns to me ten fold
My love is unconditional and I believe that’s better than Gold
I teach people how I want to be treated and forgive intentionally
I honour my values and attitudes and help others continually

I respect those in authority to their wisdom I give much value
I show empathy to my peers and give a listening where it’s due
I divide my time between work, rest and play
And plan my priorities in a very special way.

People I meet along my journey may participate someway
But I must consciously decide the part I allow them to play
This way I am being responsible for the life that I create
With guidance from the Master in whom I put my fate.

Rabbit Hill

We ramble
In the evening
Killing time before
The storm

When we stumble
Through a gateway
To a field
Or someone's lawn.

There are hillocks
Giving flashes
Of bobtails
Hopping by

And with burrows
Peppered neatly
And so pleasing
To the eye

So my daughter
Is in heaven
And her mind
Begins to scheme

As her favourite
Creature flickers
In some
Bunny-laden dream

I guess
We'll be returning
As the daughter-pleasing
Pledge

Tumbles from my lips
A promise:
"To this kingdom of the rabbit;
We will furnish them with veg."

Exploring the Quite Woods

Nobody can discover anything
that's hidden in the quite woods
of the striking wilderness:
if adventure and curiosity limit
our perception to fully discover it
with the keenest senses:
it can make us marvel at the loveliness.
of the butterflies or the swiftness of falcons,
and if we had wings, we could see everything,
but without insight or imagination: nothing amazes!

Admire the yellow dandelions that lovers blow
to make realistic wishes in that moment so mellow;
picks one, scatter its seeds and make more grow:
youngsters adore them, so does a House Sparrow!

Exploring the quite woods of the striking wilderness
opens up dusty, winding trails so often travelled alone;
do the indigo lilacs match the sapphire skies above?
Do the golden orioles match the amber sunflowers
that are bent on their tall stalks by the gales...
when sunset stuns all with its purple shades?

Follow these footsteps to cherry blossom hills,
and to steep mountains greener than wild grass;
it's an adventure away from the bustling cities
with rising skyscrapers and streets without trees!

Premium Member My Heart Is A Secret Garden

My Heart Is A Secret Garden,
where love and pain live and hide.
Love finds pretty flowers blooming,
as the bright sun peeks over the hill.
The love that fills my heart and soul,
coming from the many who love me,
The pain from the rose thorns that prick my being,
from those who want to hurt me.
Oh yes, my heart is a a secret garden,
exploring life and what it has to give.

Premium Member Exploring Self

A tiny fish desirous to swim at liberty,
In vast ocean and depth beyond measure, is me.
Always elated, witty with communicable smile,
Unique still found simile as my name says.

Fire in my heart not possible to tranquilize,
Touch of a thunder would always enlighten,
Thoughts in my mind travel fast to infinite,
Much of my pent up anger goes in tears,
Emotions beyond control, at times unwind,
I am More of a soul rather than a body.

Alike marvelous and merciful, not knowing,
Intensity of what I endure by present torture,
But by chiefly the pang that rankles after it,
Completely original, I quaff my ale with gusto,
My rights I consider entirely infrangible ,
No matter what else you may take away from me!!

Our nickname for bogeys was 'crows'
Small fingers were wedged up our nose
We got frequently told
Please stop digging for gold
Did I excavate ... shh no one knows!

As children we called bogeys ‘crows’ it is a regional word in the Derby/Nottingham/Stoke areas... incidentally my hubby grew up about 5 miles from where I lived yet he called them bogeys
