The Gift of Eros

The Gift of Eros

Aloft flies Eros; mischief fluttered wings
With silent rustle whisper overhead
By arrows pierced; the hearts of knaves and kings
The chilly grave, the restless lover’s bed
Blue London air, red Piccadilly light
Above the shifting crowd and constant noise
In summer heat, in neon and the night
He aims his slender bow with perfect poise
Aloft flies Eros; underneath his feet
As shadows of the Circus slowly shift
I contemplate my own love, bitter, sweet
The wound that Eros wrought in me, the gift
And as I turn my tears up to the sky
A pigeon drops an arrow in my eye

The Curse of Eros - Revised and Recited

Always too soon, too slow, too fast, too late,
Young Eros takes aim, pulling tight his bow.
True Lovers discover eternal fate.

Grinning as tension is released and straight
Flies the deeply piercing crimson arrow.
Always too soon, too slow, too fast, too late.

Knowing his prey may never consummate
While bound by promises. Steeped in sorrow
True Lovers discover eternal fate.

His indifference to joy and pain innate,
He fills with pleasure the wounds we hallow,
Always too soon, too slow, too fast, too late.

They, bleeding passions once dormant, fixate.
Their future once sure, now lost in shadow.
True Lovers discover eternal fate.

Love holds no promises of tomorrow.
When blind Eros strikes, full hearts turn fallow.
True Lovers discover eternal fate
Always too soon, too slow, too fast, too late.

Premium Member Eros Son of Venus

Oh, divine Eros,

Son of Venus,

Conqueror of hearts,

Better it is for me your loyal subject to become

In your blissful dominion of love

Than

Arms against your sweet tyranny to take

For

My freedom to retain!

Statue of Eros

Statue of Eros, beheaded.
Genitals gouged by offended Christians.
Gaze raptly at the dimensions of the cavity.
Imagine the marbled masterpiece
Of his more sexual face.

Eros Unfettered

Soft moonlight streams through the window
and in its pale, golden glow
faint sweat sheen glistens on pink, flushed skin
speaking of love’s pleasurable exertions recently ended.
Fingertips trace the contours of legs, hips and breasts
feeling the slight twitches of small muscles
still not settled from over-stimulation.
Each breath drawn is like inhaling fire
but its warmth feels cool on heated flesh
as two bodies snuggle close,
hearts beating a sensual counterpoint,
afraid of breaking the connection
holding two spirits so closely together.
Then lips meet lips in a tender kiss
and two meld into one once more to greet the sunrise
in the most primitive and intense
celebration of life.

Zones of Eros

Oh, these areas you possess.
I love to stimulate them.
To kiss them, to caress them,
to taste them.
Inside the wrist, skin so tender.
Behind the knees,
you pulse, I feel quicken.
Your nipples, standing tall,
begging my affection.
My hot breath on your neck,
shivers down your spine.
Your hands, so soft,
ones that give such care,
of comfort and love.
Your lips, tender and moist,
I take with my own,
to possess you,
a need in me too.
Each one bringing you
to the next level of ecstasy.

Eros Do Not Flee From Me - Part I

MY adventure began no less than upon this chilling night
when homes of many lower their shades and kill the light
As sullen souls lay down for bed and fall into their dreams
some common sense was telling me I ought to follow
but my heart stood firm and I; in place of fear!

While conviction – that solid and shiny compass
melt away the color pale and heavy fright
that night my plan was nothing more than this --
to find the house of EROS to cure my heart of alder blight
After Chaos, Gaia, and Tatarus he was born but for I --
as I for him this night – my ambition over fear
EROS, the God of Love and sexuality could show the path
for that enduring love of my bride to be – my writ of right
Nothing more to keep me still so I fled into the frozen hills
upon a whirlwind, yes me the mere mortal like EROS I sped
Beating glittering golden wings upon my hidden fear
Heavy a burden of knowing what must be – that fate of me
as my beast passed through the mist and soared in height
She bravely carried on across barren wasteland and icy bog
as sad and frozen waters gravely sang to me CHAOS
and my eyes were slightly hidden – Monmouth and fear
And it seemed to me that humanity might have just begun
as we moved by wood and sullen hill – surging forth in might
Oh! Pity us as EROS must feel the greater --
that his bride was no less than CHAOS
Soon I came upon a chasm which has no name but keeps a flame
the light of Luna burned – to see the truth of life this night
The dance of light upon the night stirred a feeling within my soul
Soothing my beast I released the burden of my weight
and there she fled into the night like burning crystal – who eased my fear

And within the gapping chasm of this slightly twisted gash of soil
I faced my future fate by gently carefully moving forward into that dim light
And into the night like oil each footstep soaked inside my soul
the fear within this slice of time grabbing my throat so fierce
and I, like EROS, felt as one with love, less that burning fear

Eros Love

Your erotic harmony pounding harder and harder.
Beckoning me to slip-off my Eros armor
to take you against my breast and lay forever
at rest; asking for nothing more till earth’s last breath.

Your soft whisper of love embodies my mind.
Your warm breath on my neck, intoxicating me like wine.
The thought of your skin on my fingertips
Or your salty taste lingering sweetly on my lips;
Imagining my tongue slowly coaxing yours as it caresses mine
exposing the intensity that you’ve hidden away deep inside.
Your callous hands forging me in your passionate fire;
Sculpting every part of me with intense desire

Lay me down, and in me, bequeath your all
Fill me with your starving tenderness so that we may never again
feel such a fall. Perfect my memories, my Eros love,
make us whole as one, and until earth’s last breath,
will we be undone.

Eros and Psyche In Love...

He can write most classic words,
filled with passion and Romance,
Whilst She pens a unique verse,
showing him,She really cares.

He can send her a Red Rose,
with his name,on it embossed,
She can send him Hugs and kisses,
Sealed with Love,Wrapped in Red Ribbons.

He can send her,a Huge card,
Saying, from the very start,
She have captured his whole Heart,
even though they are apart.

She can send him a reply,
starting ,'Dear Valentine',
I've been yours along the time,
Will you be Forever Mine?

In Love letters are two Hearts,
tied with Wishes and Hot sparks,
Happy,Happy Valentine,
Sweetest Couple of all time.

Premium Member I once saw Cupid poop

I once saw Cupid poop behind a tree in a field.
And, boy, was I surprised by the amount of his yield.
And when he was done,
I saw him strapped his quiver of arrows back on
and fly off to make another two one.

Love,
The emotion
From eternity to eternity
Touches humans
Giving serenity,
The ones in love
Forever fortuitous
To be singing
Life's glorious song,
A dance of
Tango
Between two
Sublime souls
Lost in the throes
Of immortal love;
Those upon whom
Cupid
Is unkind
And failed to strike
With his magical
Arrow
Must remain
Sentenced
To a life of
Degenerate
Solitude,
A life of
Unfulfilled dreams,
And missed bliss;
Deep in the ocean
Of emotion,
Lies their sunken ship
Of love
Perched precariously
On a submerged
Precipice under
The weight of
Ill chosen priorities,
Broken, rusted,
Unknowingly,
Instinctively awaiting
Some arrowed,
Amorous diver
Or a miracle
From Eros
To rekindle
The fire
Of passion
Within.

Premium Member Eros Quarters

The insidious reign
of your apparitions, your
coitus with the attic serpents
was sufficient to strip all
pigment from my skin.

Was it they who walked you
blindfolded through the upper chambers
of our modest Eros quarters?
Didn’t you walk them?

My self-reckoning, old Freudian suppers
were wet cookies beneath your heels.
And we lived here!

Their split tongues crowded my speech.
Our energies were split hairs, gnarled
To the scalp!

Our timid blithe seconds were
massacred!
