When gray waters of June moan…one last time
Near the dimming edge of our isle, offshore--
How so many stars tremble quite sublime
For this clutch of demise gushes its pour.

Near the dimming edge of our isle, offshore
I summon the fighter in me… Wake wake!
For this clutch of demise gushes its pour-
To ignite kiln of hope ‘s flame , and not quake.

I summon the fighter in me … Wake wake!
As courage prevails nudging my bruised soul…
To ignite kiln of hope’s flame , and not quake,
Entombing young brother… down in the knoll.

As courage prevails, nudging my bruised soul,
The deepened cry of goodbye washes the day
Entombing young brother… down in the knoll,
Yet God's light reigns, my angst ebbing away.

The deepened cry of goodbye washes the day...
How so many stars tremble quite sublime
Yet God's light reigns, my angst ebbing away--
When gray waters of June moan…one last time.

Nature Has the Upper Hand

Volcanoes can engulf the land
in avalanching lava blaze
entombing picturesque Pompeiis,
for Nature has the upper hand.

Tsunamis raze an earthly strand
disrupting lives that cling to breath
in e’er untimely mortal death,
for Nature has the upper hand.

Despite the undertakings planned,
a cataclysm’s fatal sweep
may chance on beings deep asleep,
for Nature has the upper hand.

Across the cosmic reaches grand
the heavens prove their vast command
where’er our telescopes have scanned,
for Nature has the upper hand.

We stamp our heady hubris brand
upon the beauteous terrain
which humans claim as their domain,
still Nature has the upper hand.

An instance in immenseness spanned
we’re but a bit of Nature and
regardless if we understand
Great Nature has the upper hand!

Premium Member My Heart Betrayed Me

I spend each wakeful night in search of evasive sleep.
An unwelcomed vigil denies me peaceful rest.
I've need to bury his haunting specter somewhere deep;
entombing forever my perpetual uninvited guest.

Close my weary eyes, appears the vision of his face.
His smile plays over me in sweet unbridled song.
If I could rip out my eyes as easily as tattering lace,
Would insomnolence not taunt me all night long?

How long must I remain my heart's shackled possession?
Will this nocturnal torment never reach an end?
No response have I heard to either of these questions.
My heart is not content to simply call him, "friend."

I've foolishly assigned myself a Herculean task,
To believe from its grasp, my heart will set me free.
I'm paying the steepest price that love alone can ask.
Why, treacherous heart, why have you betrayed me?

Merlin

Merlin was born by sorcery.
   A demon father, incubus.
   Virginal mother, royalty.
Great wizard of King Arthur's court.
   Of legends, deeds and chivalry.
   That fabled castle Camelot.
   He prophesied, waved magic spells.
   Bade Viviane of Avalon,
   Enchantress Lady of the Lake,
To forge a royal magic sword.
   Excalibur she set in stone.
   Merlin besotted and beguiled
Reveals; his secrets for her love,
   Black magic art, dark sorcery.
Which wantonly would seal his fate.
Arthur's crowned King, he drew the sword.
   Excalibur it blinds the foe.
   King Arthur's scars in victory,
By magic scabbard, they don't bleed.
   Merlin rewards his Viviane
To cross the sea to Avalon.
A magic castle on her lake,
Whoever passed, they could not see
He built for her by sorcery.
   She spurned his love, insanity.
   Merlin's a Druid going mad.
   Hallucination, lunacy.
Now wild man of the apple woods
   In Avalon, misunderstood.
   Craving his freedom, prophesied,
Three times how would a young boy die.
He saw him falling from a rock.
Then secondly, hung from a tree.
And finally he would be drowned.
His captors laughed, how could this be,
   A prophecy turned into three.
One day the boy walked by a stream.
He tripped and fell from off a rock
His leg entrapped by roots of tree,
Hanging, he drowned in waters deep.
   Merlin's predictions, set him free.
But Viviane now cast a spell.
   Entombing Merlin in a stone.
That temptress Lady of the Lake.

Acid rock twilight-zone trip tunes
edged in freaked heavy-metal screech

sandpaper wrapping entombing raw youth
scarce comfort from words thinly preached.

Promise, faith, determination
stretched beyond a mere beseech

rainbow storms midst arid sand dunes
tsunamis of love's rampant truth.

Blanket of Lies

I’m slowly dying ... being pillow buried alive,
and ain’t nobody’s pity coming
to prematurely save me

I fell into this death trap of my own crypt choosing,
when the creeping lust
of a sultry smile
enticed me so hypnotically
I shouldna went scuba diving for pearls only skin deep

Whispering desires wrapped around
my lascivious, madly buzzing mind ...
Entombing this naked truth —
I was in a web-caught moral decline

She passionately covered my fake naïveté
with a blanket of silky lies
My virgin pretenses got cocooned
by a sly black widow so fly

Oh, woe is butterfly me ...
so delusional, as not to see
what was happening
around the warm fireplace lit cozy
I was being pulse poisoned
by a scent pleasure sweat fantasy

Her lipstick negligee pleas
wanted my gentle, caressing touch of
bosom acquiescence

With empty resistence,
I yielded to the fatal kisses of death
Paralyzing inhalation of erogenous stimulation ...
she then sensuously took
whatever chaste dignity I had left

Her silhouette hungering ravished me,
as she feasted on my bio-cellular needs
Slowly draining every tear drip
of pulmonary sustenance,
she cradled me in a dying ember embrace

Whispering low, vow falsities blown so sweetly;
allaying these lullaby fears ...
putting my vulnerable doubts to climatic sleep

She said she would nuptial lie
in a cold dirt bed for me
But I’m the ungroomed bridesmaid
folding the coffin sheets

The woman of my demise
said forever
she would always love me
As her softly woven blanket of ecstasy lies
slowly suffocated
my willingness to breathe

In the dawn-like haze—a shriek was heard,
An echo so shrewd, yet birdless, oddly slurred
It was ordained by—a stratum unseen,
A throbbing coerce, a numen so keen.

A canticle flower—a bellow coarsely flung,
Through bosky drifts, those shadows clung.
The broken clavicle, brittle skull,
Doused in lacquer—a tale to annul.

Cried creative bone, from annals of time,
In a secluded hut—where lamina chime.
With guttural utterance—the gowk did sing,
Fluted notes on brinks of obsidian string.

Cloaked in the dimly lit mist, a canon of clamor,
Shaping the world with a mystic glamour.
In the glum of worship, a rite did splay,
As voices uttered—in a solemn display.

A corpse lay still, in the midst of the scene,
Dazzled by the entombing, a nebulous flesh serene.
Funerary hums—in syllabic verse,
Resonated through time, as a solemn curse.

In an urn—fugally adorned
With fugal melodies, the ashes were borne,
A symphony of sorrow, a requiem grand,
For the soul departed, to a distant land.

The misty air whispered—in mournful tones,
As the funerary procession made its way,
A solemn journey, through the mist, embrace.
To the final resting place, where shadows trace.

And so, the hum continued, a haunting refrain,
As the earth embraced the remains.
Silent and still—in eternal rest,
In the hallowed ground, the corpse was blessed.

Gone was the body, but the spirit remained,
A specter in the mist, forever ingrained.
A memory of life—a tale to be told,
In the echoes of time, where stories unfold.

In the depths of the mist, a legacy grew,
Of a life once lived, and the love that it knew.
The funerary hum—a reminder of grace,
As it carried the spirit to a heavenly place.

A Mother's Love

A Mother’s Love

Encased in a lovely embryonic slime
A diamond, Parasol seventeen eighty nine
Refracting and reflecting all of the woe,
That you wish to throw

Entombing me ever with you corporal presence
Snuffing the embers before the fire makes sense
Oxygen less space where the world cannot burn,
It comes with the turn

A poisonous love that was roll’d on with rage
Deep Iodine red and dripping unscathed
When the burning reality eats me up whole,
 The toxic takes a toll.

Successfully regurgitated fully intact
Pain cannot break a blood bond contract
The horrible void could not me digest,
Malnourished incest.

I sit on a stool built high with love
Watching the world die from above
I would not suffer all she endured
The world would not touch me
the way it did her

I can’t feel a thing.

Wings

I feel the scorn;
         white lies, beneath,
        alabaster, undaunted, cold.
         Remaining unborn;
        not to be reached,
         entombing the windows to soul.
        It is content;
         head bowed in rage,
to drown in its own contention.
         Intellect bent;
        decorating cage,
         comforts of creature's invention.
        So; it's apparent,
         echoes of crucial,
        logic is stoic release.
         Is it inherent;
        questions for mutual
         self destruction of peace?
        Yet in the thunder;
         I shall not quake,
        promises hide in my smile.
         Amusing to wonder;
        the ways I could break,
         solace for a little while.
        Memories scream;
         nightmares testify,
        spirit is wired for sound.
         Deep in this dream;
        lost in the sky,
         detesting the notion of ground.
        Push; pull, tug,
         caress, fight, hug,
        labyrinths to navigate.
         Droned incantations;
        loud mute oblations,
         whisper,"please salivate."
        Still in the end;
         my best brightest pleasure,
        as geisha survives to kneel,
         submission, the trend,
        varnishing treasure,
         slowly loses appeal.
        Resistance; my flow,
         it transcends this broken,
I fail to edit your pride.
         So feel it grow;
        misery unspoken,
replacing what I choose to hide.
        Skin that is parched;
         refusing to weep,
though blood drips from your crown.
         I stretch to arch;
        my wings while you sleep,
I'll die before laying them down....

Premium Member Dreams Unfulfilled

To lounge beneath a passing star
      Where unfulfilled dreams wane, afar
No fog or glow cleansing these tears
As grief, in harsh shadow appears
   Entombing bleakest thoughts, I sink--
This agony… my poisoned drink.

Simulacrum

Defunctive decadent dreams upon desert Dunes,
Where your love drifts to dust within sandy storms…
The dry devious air assimilates amorous dusty debris,
entombing maleficent mirages.

My breath betrayed by stimulated sinister sins,
Illusive illusions adorn the gated Gardens of Eden…
Rhetorical replicas reflect from your slaving smile.
machiavellian mirrors magistrate.

Forged in fires of facsimile you rise like the Phoenix,
Effigy of a carbon copy of deceptive deliverance…
A petulant puppet master of megalomania madness,
archetypes of amour ambushed.

A portrait of love through a passionate photograph,
Suspended within parallel paradoxes of surrender...
Your love keeps me captured amongst tenacious time,
spurious memories marauding.

Discreet Desire

have slept blissfully with masters
endured mice of men
been protected in the inner sanctum
yet grovelled in poverty and pain
used my body to pull myself from its grip

seen many vices
secrets cleverly hidden
learned when to speak, holding opinions
silence can be indeed golden
as silver crosses sweaty palm

unmentioned blackmail, seen behind erotic eyes
have manipulated, masterfully
taken advantage of the attributes of beauty
secrets learned at mother's knee

I've been abused as a lady
worshipped as a whore
through it all, needy beggars
snickers behind my back
oh the women so gentile

see my smiling eyes
it's in my bed they do lie
outcast, yet bell of the ball
hushed need whispers my name
I move to its lure

my body a delicious shine
entombing the rich and noble
influencing kings
stature unknown, yet unlimited

I am courtesan, mistress, love,
substitute wife
I'm what you wish me to be
seductress of your mind
gripping desire, courtesan

Despair

Entombing me this blinding flare,
   Inside my head, volcanic hell.
   My senses reeling with despair,

Both eyes, by now a vacant stare.
When shock waves stopped my body fell,
   Entombing me this blinding flare.

No sound, as silence filled the air.
Did time stand still, how could i tell?
   My senses reeling with despair.

I could not move as i lay there.
My finest hour descends the well.
   Entombing me this blinding flare,

Into my eyes it shines, from where?
   Inside of me this carousel,
   My senses reeling with despair.

How do i show i am aware?
   Entrapped within my silent cell.
   Entombing me this blinding flare,
   My senses reeling with despair.
