My ordinary life -
like the plain stretching across the region of my birth,
has been for the most part
 rather smooth.
Though sometimes on my path, I’d encounter hills,
they were few and were not difficult
                  to get over.
One day on my travels when I was still young
I came across a man who, like a majestic mountain,
  would take my breath away.
He captured my attention completely,
distracting me from all the normal things
                      my plain life had entailed.
When he smiled, it was as if
the sun were peeking over him
                                            in golden splendor.
Madly in love with him I fell,
and every day I worshiped at the mountain.

This was a short phase in my life -
a time of pure enchantment but also woe.
I behaved as if I were a stream, a babbling school girl
murmuring with joy for a while
                                                            as I meandered
      the mountain’s pleasant aspects,
but one day my meandering came to a halt.
     Coming to a cliff’s edge, I became a waterfall
            frothy with madness as
                      I plunged
               to the rocks below.
Picking myself up, I had to turn my back
                  to the glorious mountain.
A final look at him, and I saw the red sun sinking
                       into June’s cool night.
Finding my way back to the plain, I trudged.
At the mountains of madness, I’d known something -
something I had foolishly mistaken for love.
Other mountains wait there, for me, for you,
for almost anyone who desires to find one.
But since my later summer years and in my fall,
I’ve kept walking on the plain,
for it is truly, after all,
                                          my heart land.

Pleasure Seekers.
.
One delightful star-studded evening
I took a blissful took a exploration
Over peeked topped hill
And crag and pleasant sweeping vale
As the sun got warmer and warmer
On my adventure I had entailed
.
Gentle soft rain awakened the shifting landscape
As the bird of paradise responded
Whispering her joy and pleasure
With varied mounting uttered tones
And I excitingly discovered hidden treasures
Intoxicated by her scented glistening rose
.
She raised her ivory pillars
And spread her pretty butterfly wings
Beckoning me with urgency
To sip from her sweet tasty dew filled cup
I lingered upon her womanly offering
As my delight and her pleasure increased
And the stinging bee had now woke up
.
We sailed together upon waves of exquisite sensations
As the waves gathered momentum
And we weaved our surrendering bodies
With passion rapture and sharing
Throughout the magical star studded night
Creating so much beauty
Bonding hearts and souls with tender care
.
After the lavish feast was over
And our hunger now satisfied
We held each other in our folded wings tight
As the warm embers aglow
On this our blessed wedding night.
.

loving moments

"loving moments"

always from the start of us
everything entailed love
involving tender touches
one by one safely savored
under lights of sun and moon

as time intensely waltzes thru
engaged are we with feeling
igniting a million breaths
only extended to you and me
ultimate is each embrace

yesterday the start of life
soaring far beyond today
yields wondrous gestures
sensual are loving moments

Freedom

FREEDOM

This mass of land, created from the amalgamation of two
Stood alone as the most eastern Caribbean island in view
Embedded with coral and volcanic ash, her strength
A peaceful place to inhabit and explore at length

**

The onset of tragedy lingered, with the Colonisation of old
As the Brits sought their heritage and desired a foothold
This peaceful land beyond, was never to be
A sanctuary for innocence nor tranquility

**

Across the treacherous seas they sailed
Complete with cargo of Settlers and Slaves entailed
To till the land for sugar cane, cotton and tobacco fields
Never to accede below the demanded yields

**

For eons the Masters dominated the sugar trade
Reaping from the backs of the weary and unpaid
They ruled the downtrodden with relentless fear
Until spoke that death of reign was near

**

The unforgiving natural disasters took its toll
Leaving this precious land with nothing more
To take, to trade or yield again
Save the memory of inhumane pain

**

Exodus from the fields agone, made way
For education and the hunt for insurgence at bay
Abolition, rebellion and emancipation ensued
And this beloved land, Barbados was liberated prelude

"FREEDOM"

(Barbados gained internal independence from the British Monarchy in 1966)

An Elegy For a Piano Teacher

She’s rolled up with patience
dedication and faith in the Lord;
her strictness punctuated a shared vision
that focused on learning acquisition.

  Her punctuality, precision, and determination
  to teach her pupils with discipline and right focusing;
as a rule of thumb she always obeyed
made the essence of what music means to all.

Rain or shine she’s there in her cubicle
waiting for her pupils scheduled to take their lessons;
those Hanon exercises, arpeggios, and other finger articulations
would lead off in concentration or warm-up in every lesson.

  Perhaps she’s a scarecrow to some who hadn’t known her;
  but she’d a listening heart described as a story line;
with depth and assurance that no one is denied,
along with other slow learners who coped with perseverance.

Truly, her endless word to slow down in every measure,
her technique that entailed so much discipline and correction
through memory lane I still remember a constant repetition;
her affinity for perfection that requires discipline and proportion.

She’s a teacher keenly aware of her pupils’ emotions,
  her generosity explained either in time or learning a score;
as a sign and meaning to pedagogical association
with thriving efforts to play the music with technique and precision.

She’s held in the affectionate memory of her pupils,
their collective thoughts about her fittingly honored her
a woman like her with a horizon of meaning to everyone
a true Filipino educator with a glowing torch in her soul
and her music sustained my vocation to go on.

Its magical link to depth and soul of human expression,
  its beauty and inspiration that kept me to deepen my own calling;
to make piano sing in the balance of emotion, technique and celebration
a way to experience Him with wonders and beauty – limitless world.

Maraming salamat , Maestra Marina M Diokno!
I really missed you; I really treasured whatever you taught me;
your strong affinity for virtuousity, allegato and sostenuto,
indeed, a memory lane suffused with gratitude and threads of appreciation.

Premium Member The Gardener's Creed

Whose woods these are, I think I know
You'll find her in her garden, though.
The garden one sees driving by,
Is not the same that meets the eye,
Of she who with a spade and hoe
Is possessed with every plant to try.
The work entailed you cannot know,
In making this little garden grow.
Planted it is with toil and tears,
To produce results she's proud to show.
Planned so well throughout the years,
For bitter cold or sun that sears;
Eliminating every weed
Rejoicing as each flower appears.
Following the faithful gardener's creed,
She plants a prayer with every seed.
Anticipating its every need,
Anticipating its every need.

Lyrics

The unwritten lyrics swarm in my head like a hornets nest, the studio is silent. The microphone taunts me in it's little square box, but it waits for a time when we can talk in private.

I hear the instrumental get louder from the twist of a knob. The song wrote its self as my head starts to bob. I cram into the booth and close the door with confidence. That I will come out feeling new and get praised with compliments.

I get loud with excitement and shake hands with my buddies. Hope that I can continue this hobby, but we see no money.

I made music for years not thinking what my future entailed. All my friends will understand when its time to set sail.

We have low quality equipment and no food for our stomachs. We grow into men and instead of friends, we are now distant cousins.

Magic Beans

As I wander in the wilderness
dark and dreary
stumbling into an empty space
with brightness rendering me blind
i sight a huge beanstalk
with just a single pod
hanging out for me
only four beans within

Confused, i wonder at its sight
and unsure what it implies
are they mere beans
or magical as that of Jack's
am i part of a modern fairytale
with wishes and curses entailed
I contemplate on its use
and then i was knocked out of my reverie

They were indeed magic beans
which is alive within us
the wonderful emotions
Almighty has provided us
HAPPINESS that is to be discovered
and enduring the SAD times
controlling our ANGER
and FEAR to be overcome

These beans decide the path
and is to be reined
for they are the magic beans
that will pave your way
until the reins are in your hands
You succeed and is blessed.

The Prophecy:Wolf-Warriors' Winter Invasion

The priestess had seen it all well; she had seen it coming.
The Snow Goddess had spoken to her in a dream.
“How could this be?!” the priestess asked herself.
The human nature in her could not make sense of what her visions entailed.
The reality came to life in the night without the moon, but a night full of stars! The malevolent tribe of the wolves had broken the gates, and killed thousands of knights. They sought the blood of the Queen; the priestess herself! Her divine soul was too much for the vile and dark wolf warriors to bear.
The invaders were ten feet tall, with muscles as strong as steel, and teeth as mammoth as elephant tasks! Warriors of the Snow Kingdom were no match for such an army.
“I leave my Kingdom’s fate to you my Goddess…” the priestess whispered in despair. As the wolf warriors reached the foot of a big mountain, the auroras began to appear. They were of different colors like rainbow! Their visibility invited a tremor that created avalanches, that buried the entire giant army to their deaths. The Queen’s vision had come true!

This Time Around Is For Me

Traduced! Forgive but don’t forget is the adage
How can one heal whilst storing the ugly image?
It’s the lie entailed by cowardice…

So a mind, replete with forgiven but unforgotten
Turns irrational and presumes in verbiage rotten!
Imminently, bruises need a poultice…

Mired in all the untoward-pardoned-unforgettable
Eclipsed visages twist-taunt into the judge-mental
as he hammers over a ripped bodice…

Rage absorbed takes on a caliber hard to disown
Of a volcanic-type verisimilitude; shield unknown
under the buried-remembered, malice…

Nursed so long in remembrance, turns corrupt
Drinks in all the stored negatives to then erupt
in wanton caprice…

Surely, forgetting is requisite to forgiving,
for how is one to enjoy the present living?
Odious history’s peace…

Riding the past to fill moments in beauty
Memory retention is the declared reality
Enunciated with declining hubris…

Unconditional Paternal Love Toward Shana Punim

Without

I met you today, the lights we installed we chatted about us and all that entailed. I caught my breath when I saw you and a tear dropped out. I wanted to hold you but I had doubts.
I looked in your eyes, but it wasn't you. I see what I've done and the hurt is so true. You are my love and
In my heart you will stay, the words that I heard were 'just go away'...!
I wanted to talk and that you allowed, I wished I'd stayed longer and my heart wasn't proud, of the things that I've said and the lies that I told I beg you my love please let us grow old.... together in time I know what you need and another will love you where I should have been.

Tribute To John Denver

“I am a song that needs to be sung.”
Words by John Denver inscribed in Aspen.
While walking the path alongside the Rio Grande
A circle of stones in memory of John Denver does stand.

Inscribed on the rocks are the words of his songs.
They moved me deeply as I strolled along.
Realizing that I was in Aspen because I did spy
A tribute to John Denver’s Rocky Mountain High.

It sparked a desire to experience Aspen for myself.
Now here I am encircled with John Denver’s wealth.
I wasn’t a huge fan, but I did enjoy his songs.
His words stand tall beyond being written in stone.

I moved along the trail into an evergreen forest
Dwarfed by the pines as the river flows toward us.
Emotional connectivity with Aspen’s sheer mountain beauty.
Sitting on a rock in the river my only duty.

Feeling inspired to move again on the trail
An energy spoke to me; no words were entailed.
You are a song that needs to be sung
You are a bell that needs to be rung.

You are the newness of fresh mountain air
You are the energy of spring’s budding stare.
You are the eagle resting in its high nest
Ready to soar through the sky when the time is best.

You are the Rocky Mountain High
Colorado is the place for you to sigh.
Heave out the energy that is stored within
Sing your own song with a loving spin.

In gratitude I salute John Denver’s soul.
In the beauty of the Rockies, he continues his role.
Inspiring people to greater heights through his words.
Thank you, John Denver, for my heartfire heard.

Intolerance

Intolerance is now a hot topic for lot of discussions,
Intolerance is something which divides a nation into two sections.
Intolerance for some is just a mixture of all political gimmicks,
Intolerance for other is a hidden agenda of some freaks.
Intolerance for some is a conspiracy to take the nation backward,
Intolerance for others is killing of innocents like a coward.
Intolerance is not a new issue in a country like India,
Intolerance is also not a debate to be shouted in media.
Intolerance is something which need to be studied in depth,
Intolerance should also be separated from someone's own faith.
Intolerance is something which need to be there in democracy,
Intolerance is expected to eradicate the curse of poverty.
Intolerance is an obligation to fight against the evil of corruption,
Intolerance is required to uproot those who don't believe in our Constitution.
Intolerance is entailed so that no woman in this country is raped,
Intolerance is demanded if a society is improperly shaped.
Intolerance is necessary against those who try to stop freedom of speech,
Intolerance is needed to stop a proper system from getting a glitch.

Etched

Enemys throughout, the day they very met
fighting tooth and nail, with both warrior hearts
dominance of the town, being the ultimate prize
hatred adding fuel, enlighting inferno to prevail.

My best pal from knee high, would rather do without
the confrontations hanging on him
i will call the oppostion shaun, although fine with me
thriving fear, bullying yet an awesome stature.

The fatal night in question, etched in many minds
a long long fight ended,my pal oblivious towards
a knife was placed into his hand, while recieving extreme beating
lashed out, everything stopped, pal overcome with relief.

At court not guilty verdict, the jury did return
on the basis of harrassment, and all that it entailed.
Yet families effected, can see it from both sides
loss and freedom, though my pal lives with everyday.
