Life is not as sweet as a bowl of golden glace cherries,
nor is there a golden illuminated future for a fruitless mind.
Trembling hands and gritted teeth disguise my disorderly brain,
feeling lost in the mist,
surrounded by drowned out voices.

Deceptive chanting charms plant everyday confusion,
with stalking emotions running through my mind's corridors,
carrying a voice that gives birth to eerie echoing funnels,
pumping frustrating thoughts deep into the depths of phobias.

My demeanour hides behind a canvass of mysteries.
a pure transfiguration, where compulsive obsession
takes possession of stalking my vulnerable affections.
There's too much repetition in the fluidity of periods and seasons,
as I lose this battle to control my will's strength of life.

I constantly wonder if the only place of victory,
to find peace,
is to slay silent intoxicating depths,
which desire to explore me.
But in reality despise me with conflicting contradictions unable
to stop my puzzled conscious suffocating from over analysing,
enslaving excessive dwellings from every aspect of my existence.

Life is not a jigsaw,
I do not have the energy to find every piece.
My soul's fine heaven is rimming with untold tales of nature,
but misjudged precious intentions result in distracted actions.
An angst which has no remedy as all scars remains unseen.

But my Fears are made into gems,
when alone with my nemesis,
an unwanted life long partner
feeding upon deranged dilemmas,
which keep my mind,
spiralling in circles of uncertainties.

Tell me,
My dear friend,
My beloved brother,
My trusted ally,

Till when are we going to let
The autocrats
The dictators
The despots, and
The tyrants govern us?

Till when do we intend to allow these
Barbarous
Vicious
Immoral, and
Unholy glory-seekers rule our lives?

Till when are we going to permit these ignorant monsters,
To imprison,
To torture,
To maim, and
To kill their own people?

Till when are we going to observe these savages;
Attacking,
Occupying,
Enslaving, and
Obliterating smaller nations?

For how many more millennia do we have to witness the devastation of
Humanity because of these morally impotent criminals who
Instill tons of hatred in the hearts and minds of our fellow humans?

Tell me, my friend, my brother, my trusted ally,
Isn't about time to revolt against such malicious rulers?
Against such practices?
Against war?
Against ignorance, and
Against injustice?

Has not the time come to replace these bloodthirsty evil men
With virtuous men?
With men of a loving heart and mind?
With knowledgeable men?
With compassionate men for peace?
With men of wisdom and justice?

Come now, my fellow human,
I wish you would agree with me.
I want you to agree with me.
I beg you to agree with me.
I implore you to agree with me if you, too, wish to see a
Fellowship of men and nations that cares for each other and is:
Kinder,
Nobler, and more
Loving,
Otherwise,
The afflictions of humanity will never end,
Unless, as Plato* has indicated in his Republic**,
The wise and the just would rule the world
Or
Those who rule the world become just and
Wise!

Premium Member Life Is Like a Puzzle

Life is like a puzzle
The cannon cannot move
Without it paddle
Create this words
and that is what to say
Create this path
And that is the way
Being truthful is righteousness
And that leads
To freedom and happiness
And wickedness brings violence
For one thing leads to another
The sunny weather
Brings about the rainy weather
The failure of man
Is his down fall
If you throw a ball
Towards a wall
It bounces back to you
You shall surely reap
What you sow
If you do not
Think of enslaving me
There won't be slavery
For bad imagination
Is negative perception
And positivity is perfection

Premium Member Paris March Against the Beast of Fear

The raging beast of fear in darkness was
Conceived
Its father: Terror
Its mother: Ignorance,
With the black milk of hate was it
Breastfed,
By wrath was it, nurtured
By fanaticism its character was forged
And
Its soul saturated was with repugnance

Thus

The deformed prince of gloom, once matured,
A menace to humanity grew up to be,
Threatening the beacon of civilization to
Extinguish by:
Terrorizing
Torturing
Burning
Raping
Enslaving
Decapitating
Executing,
All this, in the name of a God that the brute doesn’t
Even understand,
So
It demanded the whole world to kneel in dread

BUT

Humanity didn’t succumb
United, in its finest hour, marched on,
Unyielding
Unafraid
Uncompromising
Proud and
Free,
Sending thus the message to the kingdom of gloom that
Its days are numbered

For

One ray of light, mightier it is than any amount of darkness
And easily could obliterate beast’s obscure empire at a blink
Of the eye

Because

GOD is not HATE and DARKNESS
But
LIGHT and LOVE!

Did our Age of Aquarius evaporate,
fail to regenerate,
to resonate,
fall too far short of what our parents
knew we should anticipate?
Free love could not sustain
weak non-violent resolutions against
whatever busyness was for.

Yet, if love invites synergy,
mutual gravity,
and creation evokes compassion's transregeneration,
how could love cost more than free?
How could co-redemption not invest everything
in learning how to cooperatively Be,
free of enslaving supremacist becoming,
free to come together
as ecological We?

Those who stop to count these costs of love,
look for ways to divest of co-investment,
ignoring Earth's mentoring economy
of light's photosynthetic comprehension,
of neutral's dark unconsciousness,
a fog bank evaporating
doubly unbinding timeless spaciousnest
patterned mystery
absent of color
flowing free love intention.

THE NATURAL WAY

The natural way
I’m speaking of nature’s way
That which has been known
That which is at times cruel
That which gradually is being lost

Is there an order?
Is there some marvelous plan?
In truth I don’t know
I merely see and think
I think of natural things

Regeneration
Growing things this very Earth!
Things being cut down
Perishings each day
Being replaced by dead things

Our great polar bears
Creatures losing habitat
All forms of our wilderness
Evolution has managed
These many millions of years

Then a foreigner
One who would call himself king
King over nature –
That he was provided for
Fed by nature meant nothing

In place of nature
This king built stone-cold castles
Flaunted his power
Enslaved those ones who opposed
It continues to this day

Man death to nature
Slowly enslaving himself
Till he stands alone
All nature dead at his feet
Desperate to reach a star

If I Could Only Have Tomorrow

I've loved you for so long now
I've loved you from afar.
Nights I've prayed to have you.
I've even wished upon a star.

Nothing's gotten me closer
like I hoped to be to you.
I could dream forever
and not see one dream come true.

And so I come before you
and I get down on one knee.
And ask if there might be a way
you'd do one thing for me.

One day to last my lifetime
an ending to my sorrow.
Let me be with you tonight
and let me have tomorrow.

Let me look into your eyes
as the sun begins to shine.
Let me if for a moment
just pretend your mine.

It's not about the love we'll make
or the joy I hope you find.
I've loved you for forever
already in my mind.

If only I can have tomorrow
just to see you in the dawn.
I swear to you if you want me to
by nightfall I'll be gone.

Then though I be forgotten
and you can't recall my name.
No longer sad and lonely
I'll still love you just the same.

Living in the memory
I'd beg or steal or borrow.
Enslaving me and saving me
if I could only have tomorrow.

Not to mention no truth in the

Yes, indeed, the USA is not perfect
  not with George Washington
    the 1700’s slaveholder (gasp!)
on our currency, not to mention

Premium Member Poetry Is a Life-Cherishing Force

Poetry is a life-cherishing force. For poems are not words, after all, but fires for the cold, ropes let down to the lost, something as necessary as bread in the pockets of the hungry.”
- Mary Oliver

Poetry is my flesh, blood, body, mind and soul,
My heart and its beat; skin-bone unifying whole;
In her I talk, walk, work, rest and leisurely lie;
Without her, like fish without water, I might die...!

Do I pick my tooth-brush at rising, I don't know,
My pen, as though saving sword, ever strength does show;
Feeling hungry or full, somnolent or awake,
Pulsation of poetry, like waves, in me, break...!

As impulses pull and push to-and-fro actions,
Poetry pervades reason-cum-instinct fractions;
Self-enslaving inclinations soon washed away,
Poetry, for inner warmth of freedom paves way...!

Erasing evils with poetry might be hard,
Like razing down hardest bushes of jungle-yard;
Don't yet, drops of disinfectants do some cleansing,
When rooms go messy and pathogens do fencing...?

Poetry gives strength to my weakening muscles,
My aching knee readies to fight moral-tussles;
Each step I take is an inspiring upheaval,
Toward freeing humankind from every evil...!

Premium Member My Soul's Wish List

My soul and body have never been good friends
They are in enmity, constantly at logger heads
When my body aspires to have riches and fame
My soul strives those tempestuous desires to tame

When my body seeks to have fun and frolic in whole
My soul yearns to see me freed from their deathly control
It recognizes, there is a life higher than this earthly life
Free from ego and all bondages of conflicting strife

While great currents of bodily aspirations perpetually rise
The soul longs to capture the eternal heavenly prize
As desires come crowding like rising waves
To wrest dominion from them is what my soul craves

From all tumultuous passions, it wishes to stay free
Also, from all agonizing and enslaving thoughts, flee
Though life is one of crippling chaos, struggle, and pain
From adversities, soul strives to have everlasting gain

The pleasures of the body can only ensnare me
So, my soul, from all incarcerating passions, wishes to flee
It keeps a wish list like Love and Compassion to fill the breast
Also, Kindness, Thankfulness and Composure to calm me to rest

As the river seeks the sea, when life comes to its end,
I seek Thee my Lord and in you, my soul wishes to blend
Then in pure bliss and deep content, I will sing a joyous song
Freed from all sorrows that once throttled me in throng

Chanting from the spirit world enters my soul as I sleep, enslaving me fully into her familiar beat, I dance with abandon, tossing my hair, flipping my feet, in childlike wildness.
Boundless in its pursuit of me, my inner voice incorporates itself into my dream, terribly ethereal in true spiritual form, bringing my real self into the higher realms, ones not fully reached until death.
My joyful soul is soaring now, spinning, and whirling, transforming me into a dervish, insanely happy to have found my tribe, loving my inner sweet pureness which is gentled out of me nightly.
I seek her every night, my sleeping day soul, in my dream state, and she keeps me in her warm, loving grasp, replenishing me in bits and pieces, in smallish intervals, showing me my true delight.
I embrace my dream state with the innocence of a unicorn, and rainbow hope, knowing her truth.

Jaina Dharma

Jaina Dharma

Jaina Dharma, my divine path to Moksha or salvation
to achieve my soul’s ultimate liberation;
through self-effort, non-violence, non-absolutism, non-possessiveness,
renunciation, retrospection, introspection, serenity, and stillness.

I bow in veneration to those already liberated,
traveling on the prescribed paths Lord Jina advocated.
My soul deeply yearns to break through enslaving barriers
of worldly attachments and material desires.

Seeking freedom from the enduring bondage of Karma,
I desire release from the cycle of reincarnation and achieve Nirvana;
to transform to a bodiless state of enlightenment attaining perfection,
infinite knowledge, bliss, power, and perception.

Note*
Jainism, traditionally known as Jaina Dharma, is an Indian religion that prescribes a path of ahimsa - nonviolence - towards all living beings, and emphasizes spiritual independence and equality between all forms of life. Practitioners believe that nonviolence and self-control are the means by which they can obtain liberation. Ascetism is thus a major focus of the Jain faith. The three main principles of Jainism are Ahimsa (Non-Violence), Anekantvad (Non-Absolutism) and Aparigraha (Non-Possessiveness). The population of Jain community across the world is around 6.1 million.

Premium Member Classism

Many U.S. citizens
deny that democratic civility and classism can,
and often do,
co-exist.

These tend to be
those who also deny
the multigenerational inheritance of enslaving racism
in defense of egalitarian beliefs
about dignity and indignities of human life,
where some have access to personal and habitat and economic health
by right,
while others,
often born multigenerationally poor,
have yet to earn their equal health care receiving rights
until they have paid their economic care-giving dues
for another decade or generation
or two
or three
or more,
who knows?

So good to know
we live in a culture
without classism,
and certainly without racism.

We just think,
using that term loosely,
that everybody should live equally
separately
as things have always been since,
well...
back to the days of slavery and Kings,
the way God originally ordained,
after the Paradise Forest of Eden,
of course,
which is all our own damned Original Sin fault.

Nodoby would want to go all the way back
to that radical absence of classism
and racism

Or,
maybe we would?
perhaps we could?
possibility we multiculturally should?

Premium Member Viking Plunder

The Viking gallery slipped quietly through the night
the oars just barely skimming the gentle swell
sails were fur-lowed tight to help hide it from sight
the warriors ready for the signal sounded by the bell

Silently they landed, ferocious was their appearance
wielding their great battle axes wearing winged helmets
they crept up on the sleeping village in timeless trance
plundering and pillaging killing some helpless pets

Taking captive the fairest of the maids enslaving burly men
to work the gallery's oars, filling the hold with stolen treasure
drinking wine from carved horns and spit roasting a tasty hen
soon well into their cups they ravished most maids keeping one pure

She of flaxen hair and hour glass figure and tender years was spared
a most fitting present for their king, the rest would be auctioned for profit
the coin added to the treasury. Now under full sail the waves they dared
knowing a welcome most raucous awaited they now their torches lit

Their king was most pleased with his gift and vowed they would be wed
a great feast was prepared and the mead flowed thick and sweetly
the Viking cheered as their king took the maid first as wife then to bed
weeping as she was ravished, he rode her like a bull until she bled badly

Back to the feast he downed some horns then lay down to sleep
the maid waited until all was silent and then into his heart she struck deep
she took back her shame as he lay dying knowing her own death she did reap
turning the dagger on herself her life no value she slipped into eternal sleep
