Best Enjoyment Poems

Until a New Dawn

Returning from the date, he hides impressions
into the nooks and crannies of his mind
like a fed dog hides bones and then can’t find.
Don’t, filthy dog, don’t do that! Nothing freshens
the memory like a new date. The grave
of his beloved wife was fresh enough
to dig it up. Oh, weird twists of love,
macabre curves of lust that make him crave
charm in decay, enjoyment in remains
of beauty, sentimental memories
of kisses smelling humus, reveries
of the ideal submissiveness in chains
of death. It’s almost day. “Goodbye, sweetheart”.
Oh, how time drags before nightfall tomorrow!
In sickness and in health, in joy and sorrow,
through death, until a new dawn do us part.

The Enjoyment of Life

To find the enjoyment of life
For the moments we live
It matters not what we do
It is who we do it with

As we should find our joy
They say for every situation
Bad times can even feel good
Being with a special someone

We are filled with joy at birth
Spiritually given from above
Most folks forget it’s there
Looking elsewhere for love

We are also given friends
Along our allotted path
To remind us of the joy
Deep within we all hath

Cherish your special friends
Treasure moments you share
To find the enjoyment of life
A true friend will take you there

Let go of all your worries and smile
Then you’ll start to feel the joy within
Though you can always double the joy
When sharing it with a good friend

Premium Member I Breathe Enjoyment

I breathe enjoyment from
the senses that God bestowed on me.
With the gift of sight I find joy
taking in scenes of sunset splendor;
catching sight of random rainbows,
the prettiest of which I’ve noted
arching over waves of Iowa grain;
gazing into the adoring eyes of my beloved;
and on happening to glance anything
bright or beautiful to behold.

With the gift of hearing,
I delight in the cries of glee
of my grandchildren
tearing open Christmas presents.
I discover incredible information
listening to videos and
learning from the students I teach,
whose own differing cultures and traditions
enlighten me more about the world.

I glean pleasure from sounds of nature:
the rumble of water gushing down mountain cliffs;
the rippling of rivers and ocean tides;
the call of pretty birds in spring;
the meow of a tiny kitten;
and my mind sways in rhythm
to the music on my radio.

With the gift of voice, I happily sing
the lyrics to my favorite tunes.
With my mouth I also relish my sweetheart’s kiss.
I take pleasure too in savoring spicy foods
that make my taste buds pop
or in tasting the cold deliciousness
of ice cream on my tongue.

With the gift of smell,
I capture whiffs of fragrant flowers
and aromatic perfumes.
I know the petrichor left by rain,
and I scent my mother’s bread and lasagna
baking on a Sunday afternoon.

With the gifts of touch and feeling,
I can fling myself into waves of sea
in joyful abandon,
feeling the sea fresh and crisp
and the sun so warm and inviting
on my skin.
I can feel soft sand beneath
my feet while walking hand in hand
with my sweetheart’s fingers stroking mine
and anticipate the wonderment
of his tender caresses in the night.

The greatest bestowal of God on us all
is the sense of feeling
that does not physically touch us.
This final gift, which I revel in,
lies in the many moments
brought about
when the heart is beautifully touched
by happenstance from any of the other senses.
These are the moments engraved forever in our
personal and collective memories.
In the end, we all have been so blessed
to have a body that brings joy to the spirit.
Thus, also I breathe gratitude.

Mutual Enjoyment

It’s great to open up your house
To those who take delight
In all the ways you have to make them
Glad for the invite.

For sharing what you’ve worked so hard
To get and make your own
Is a cut above the pleasure you
Experience alone.

A visit, with a snack or meal,
Lets visitor and host
Have some mutual enjoyment;
That’s a better day than most!

Simple Enjoyment

flashes of moments in everyone's smile,
innocent in awkward times.
hours spent playing with friends,
watching the stars st no end.
touching each other's lives,
tears of enjoyment from doing the just right.
simple caring while reminiescing;
listening to music,
singing with true blessing,
remembering how good God is,
sometimes going out of control with limits,
sharing ups and downs,
still standing tall without a frown.
day by day redundancy with meaning,
with a purpose hidden.
much like enjoying nature's passion: BEAUTY
while, still trying to keep up with the technology.

The Enjoyment

on his deathbed
he stares up at the ceiling---
a stale, supposedly calming
light blue, basks down upon
his now disease ridden body &
with all the tubes pumping
painkillers & poisons into him,
he’s finally fallen into submission,
giving up the last remnants of
resistance to the belief that the
doctor’s have been right all along &
that this thing is a final determinant---
this thing is going to be what
does him in,
probably much sooner than he had
anticipated.

for him, there will be no more trips
home, for him, no faces of family or
friends will be seen---unless they come
to visit of their own accord,
rather, these are the pondering hours,
possibly days,
in which even the gentle clicks & beeps
of the machines beside him
send his fuzzy mind into a series of
stream of consciousness memory waves
which connect pieces of his life
that he could have swore he had forgotten
up until now.

each one is burnt on the wall inside his
skull, each one comes up like brail neath’
the fingers---translating the minute details
of the rising glaring images appearing in
his barely awake state, the whole while
reminding him of the eons which seemed
to stretch themselves out into the years
that now have been rolled up into a bundle
of fleeting, flashing, seconds.

while not all the memories are positive,
as the darkness still creeps in, the fact
remains that an overall peace takes hold
convincing him concretely that there is
no more reason at all whatsoever to
dwell on those places in his head, those
nether regions which brought anguish in
the past & dragged on throughout his
life, bringing up new pain like the enduring
side-effects of a drug---instead, now, the
calming blue above begins to morph into
a gorgeous lake, one which he went fishing
with his father up in the Adirondacks,
when the green canoe was filled with
the essentials of the day (the bait, cokes,
sandwiches & of course, Lay’s sour cream &
onion potato chips) & time seemed to stop
completely, whilst the two of them shared
an afternoon coasting along the quiet waters
of a lake which they solely occupied, taking
turns rowing & casting out in hopes of a
big return.

No, but i smell them.

Enjoyment

enjoyment, frowned on by
envious people...miss
excitement in lonely
ever sad lives... they just
exist, supposedly
envisage fear, danger
even when safe at home

Premium Member Hand in Hand - Let Minds Ignite and Children Sing

With ink and mind, a future bright,
In education's noble fight.
For every child, a chance to soar,
Equity's flame, forevermore.

The curriculum, a vibrant stream,
With skills for life, a modern dream.
Assessment's lens, a wider view,
Beyond the test, a world anew.

From home to school, a hand to hold,
Engage the young, their stories told.
Empowering teachers, hearts ablaze,
With knowledge shared, in countless ways.

Early seeds of literacy sown,
A love of reading, fully grown.
Mentorship's bridge, a helping hand,
Connecting minds across the land.

After the bell, the learning thrives,
With extra help where knowledge strives.
Reading's joy, a treasure sought,
In cozy corners, battles are fought.

Bridging the gap, a digital quest,
For all to learn, and put it to the test.
Data's compass, a guiding light,
To shape the future, ever bright.

Together strong, hand in hand,
With partners joined across the land.
The public voice, a chorus raised,
For education's cause, forever praised.

Let minds ignite, let voices ring,
In Literacy's Land, the children sing.

Premium Member Contentment

Life is in our hands
For we to spend
Let's contented, relax and enjoy
Even a small remain from the dinner table
Fills the hope of a swarm of ants under the table
Let's find the way to love and to utilize
Small thing can become great idea
A small contentment is a part of a great satisfaction
Contentment leads to satisfaction
Satisfaction leads to relaxation, enjoyment and happiness
And happiness leads to achievement of target and mission
After all maybe happiness is the only special offer in life
For we to purchase and spend

Premium Member Freedom Enjoyment

For him to enjoy freedom flight
My heart is imprisoned with love
Assisting development height
While he propels himself above.

Optimizing promise of hope
For him to enjoy freedom flight
Patience is stretched along peace-slope
As special child smites spastic blight.

Beholding each milestone delight
I praise God Who grants strength and grace*
For him to enjoy freedom flight
Possible upon prayer brace.

Maneuvering wheel chair with zest
My dear son conquers struggling fright
Secured around faith's caring best
For him to enjoy freedom flight.

*2 Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

A Poem of Enjoyment

A poem of enjoyment

Some days are calm and nice, some are full of hate and vice.
Some days are better than others, some days are worse.
Some days I want to die, some days I want to cry.
But this life is not full of sadness, it’s full of regret.
Some days are awesome, some are horrible
Life is not fun and games, it’s actually full of pain
Some enjoy their life, some want to end it in vain
So please try to stay calm and don’t curse at god for he is not the one to blame

Zephyr Kisses

When zephyr kisses the tired face
Peeping out from the car window
Reminisces my mind the quaint place
Where we were catching dragonflies
Flying swiftly around the meadows

When zephyr kisses the boring face
Reminisces my mind the quaint place
Where I was treated like a little princess
Where I embraced the selfless caressing
Where I was allowed to meander everywhere

When zephyr kisses the perplexed face
Reminisces my mind the pleasant song
Which was composed when we were young
That spread positive vibes, made us strong
Solaced the weeping souls when we jollied along

When Zephyr kisses the exhausted face
It just reminds me of those beautiful days
And accords the same enthusiastic memories
That not only makes me yearn those glorious days
But also relish the present moment
