Premium Member Courage

Courage is understanding
          and confronting reality...
     Cowardliness wounds us with its lies,
          courage binds us in its Grace...
     The moral courage to share love is in and
          of itself our most vigorous defense of fear...
     Self-respect can be lost
          in the cowardice of silence...
     Bravery bears no chain of betrayal...

     The pain of failure is
          the most useful tool of courage...
     God did not endow us with the will to die
          but with the courage we bring to living...
     Fear could be an extraordinary opportunity
          that may never be presented to us again, seize it...
     The purest form of bravery
          lives in an artist's heart...

(Dedication: For Dave Wood)

Do follow feel, do simple write;
Align your flow, align your say;
Voice lines that heal, voice verse that cite;
Echo fond glow, echo fond stay.

Watch feelings surge, watch intent spur;
Opt for plain smile, opt for clear poise;
Options emerge, options recur;
Deed springs fine style, deed hurls fond voice.

Passion greets choice, passion meets peer;
Offer to cast, offer to soar;
Endow your voice, endow your cheer;
Trust first and last, trust tact and oar.

Premium Member Rapture

“To have the wings to fly and roots to reach deep inside is to find beauty and tenderness amid the gravel and dust and the wound opens the rupture into a rapture.." Jayita Bhattachargee

In the ambient silence of twilight's gentle embrace,
silhouettes and shadows dance as stars sparkle in grace.

Ecstatic eyes gaze towards spheres where dreams come alive,
an enchanting canvas of wonder where spirits revive.

An air of perfumed peace whispers in pomegranate skies,
celestial sensations glow as lavender clouds comprise.

Ivory moon commands horizons with purple hues,
as its rays reflect in glorious amethyst views.

A sense of serenity gives birth to spiritual rapture,
like a moment of nature, photographers crave to capture.

Where lonely lovers allow their elated souls to take flight,
merging with darkness to illuminate an ebony night.

Soaring beyond earthly boundaries of euphoric delight,
in a cosmic flow reflecting lanterns of fluorescent light.

Romance is a rhapsody of rainbow colours free flowing,
a perfect palette of pastels that leave a heart glowing.

Realms of true love endow golden visions of vivid bliss,
softly soothed by lips of a beloved's enchanting kiss.

Sweet Purpose

I have come to the point of decision
And I have decided in favour of love

Wisdom is not solely measured by experience
But more by capacity for it
I have glimpsed deep into history
I have sieved through its successes
...for the soundest advice I could find
Most profound I have received from the greatest achievers in its archives

I am a Student of Life
I am a Wordsmith of Optimism
And I am a Mason of the Castles of Dreams
This Trinity of Purpose for me goes hand in hand, side by side
Each benefits the other
Issue is, they set me apart from the others

Here I am, young when I should be intoxicated with the fads of modernity
Fortified with skills that are eager to pay the ordinary wages
But nay, I am not to be beleaguered
I focus ahead to perceive the greater rewards at the summation of days
For I place most value on the greatest wealth: WISDOM and HAPPINESS

I have come to the point of decision
And I have decided in favour of love

I choose to commit my heart entirely
To the work I love best
For it is this calling that shall liberate the sanctity of my humanity
The world I dwell in fathoms not a shred of my quest
For it views life through the lenses of reality

True as it may be that my work suffices not to endow me
...with common currency in these economic times
The rationale of my perception discerns far beyond this temporary mist

Let them roar their throats in laughter at my perceived stupidity
But it is their children and their children’s children that shall benefit most
...From this shelter of thoughts and dreams that for them I build

I expect no immediate remuneration for my onerous undertaking
For I rationalize it as a selfless gift to humanity
Hence I shall tap deep within to give all can give
I am determined to build this Shelter of Thoughts and Dreams
I have the basic skills hence I commit my willingness and ingenuity
The Good Gods shall present the mortar and bricks

The fear of failure has been permanently exiled from boarding my being
As my eyes are fixated on the prize
I am ready to pay the price

Premium Member Aura of Her Magnificence

When my heart could no longer illuminate,
I gazed towards horizons shrouded in blurry blackness,
revealing the agony of my sorrows to the moon.

Wondering if it would gift me a beloved
that reflects within my heart like an effervescent lamp.
One that would recognise my voice,
leading me to my dream world.
Suddenly a jewel from the sky descended like sunset.
I followed its path of sparkling stardust upon malachite meadows,
so I could have a glimpse of this unseen artistry.

I will never forget the first time she called my name,
nor the tingling sensations of an abundance of internal butterflies.
There she was, an untouched treasure.

Was she the one to endow me with pleasure?

Her precious persona enticed my sullen demeanour,
as it beamed like a billion streetlights,
reminding me of an unfinished song,
where the silence in between heartbeats was her name -
the last lyric to an omitted chorus.

Sapphire skies reappeared
bringing back absent sunshine,
Its radiant rays glowing upon her shadow.
Her eyes dazzled like bronze gems.
Her ruby red lips revealed a smile
brighter than a million pearls.

Her golden locks of hair glistened,
gently blowing in the aura of her magnificence.

I'll never forget the first time she cried,
her diamond tears trickled upon my chest,
like little stars glittering in her gloom,
concluding our unwritten poem,
memorised within the backstreets of our minds.
I can still savour the taste in my mouth -
She said her mascara was waterproof,
yet it's engraved within my soul
like an eternal tattoo.

Premium Member Past, Present, Future

Precious are the memories that last and last.
All that we hold dear in life took place
Somewhere In that sacred spectrum of time’s space.
Today is momentary, for tomorrow it’s the past!

Pleasure and pain at their most poignant
Reign in the realm of the Now.
Ephemeral though this kingdom be, we can feel our most buoyant!
Sometimes sorrow finds us here. How much grief will the present allow?
Everything we’re feeling, whether gladness or sorrow,
Now will be worst of it, for the present will endow
This ever-trusty truth: “There is always tomorrow.”

Fame or fortune folks will be looking for.
Unknown, however, are the things that are in store.
Tomorrow can change your biggest joy to duress.
Unfathomable, it beckons us all, nonetheless.
Rich will be the godly, for future’s rhapsody
Echoes into the grand eternity.

The Know

I dread thee soul.
The bold it rows,
Perchance, A mistake.

I see yee soul.
The form it takes,
It appears to be...of a lake.

A lake to all, that i endow,
To all of which, that i do wish.
Maybe you are...indeed,
For me the lake.
For i know yee soul,
The woo's it gives,
Its epistemology,
Knitting me,
Making me, myself...

Premium Member Dream Come True

Ask and wish bold, ask for clear sight;
Dare to seek out, dare to be brave;
Reach and unfold, reach your true light;
Explore grand bout, explore your crave;
Allow your heart, allow your soul;
Mind that fond dream, mind knows the way.
Choice helps you start, choice makes you whole;
Opt for fine theme, opt not to stray.
Move your world now, move your thoughts forth;
Embrace your dream, embrace your play.
Touch and endow, touch and go north;
Reap your grand scheme, reap your sure day.
Use your time here, use your days well;
Explore rich space, explore and tell.

DUET TO PLEASURE

B a b y...

How can I get you out of my mind
When It's you I only want to twine?
Shall I befall to some lovers
When it's you I treasure none other?

B a b y...
Don't play too hard to get
You already know
Your face and wit, I can't forget...

Come, baby, come
I tell you...
What you can become
Ocean skies to underwater trysts
My baby... you got all the gifts
From tantalizing green eyes
To pouty cherry full lips
Baby,you got me straight on bullseye

Your an oasis to my desert life
With you by my side,
Thorns I will completely abide.
Surrender to me, my desire.
Keep those blushes alive
And together let's duet to perspire!

Entangle long on sizzling Madonna moves;
Ahhh and ohhhh our dual adoring grooves
As we glide in autumn memoirs of ecstasy
To reach a volcanic explosion of chemistry.

Interstellar prime vows uttered bright,
Glowing anew as we kiss so contrite
Oh, baby, won't you try to comply?
Don't deny, it's I you also desire...

Sunset may endow a door to endings
but it's also a window to beginnings.
So baby, now or never
Let's start our pleasure...

In an old fashioned garden behind a stone wall
Hollyhocks and sunflowers growing so tall
Red rambling roses drape over a fence
Old fashioned flowers with colours intense.

Lupins and larkspur in lilac display
Buddleia blooming where butterflies play
Surrounding moonflower whose petals unfold
A bright splash of starburst, marsh marigold

Herbaceous borders, rosemary and rue
Columbines and clover full damp with the dew
Scents long forgotten their perfumes endow
I loved them long ago, I love them now

These old fashioned flowers, I planted them all,
In an old fashioned garden behind a stone wall

Premium Member Greeting New Year

Hail this New Year for life’s fresh ascent
Endow me with joy of dawn's laughter;
I would hold all to my heart’s content
And write scenes of a merry chapter
Filled with days gold and nights softer …
Oh, bless the seasons! Who could decline
January to autumn's bower …
When months become sweet tokens, divine?

Flame this world with quietude, well spent
On unity like one blessed tower
In need of peace… let man be content
With freedom’s  gift  through love-light  power;
As continents bridge , hour after hour…
Though time marches on , show us how fine
Love gleams in our homes like spring's flower…
Twenty Seventeen, come, be God’s wine!

The Ocean (Hybridanelle)

Moving ridges - blue, green salty de-bree
Lightly, sweep the beach;
As inland rolls the sea

All species, shapes shells' species,
Tumble to shore, scoured by wind, by sand
Frothed, hi-lo crests, toss, create odd creases

Ocean sounds, subdued to loud
Galaxies twinkling, twinkling, over sandy shore
Moving ridges - blue, green, salty de-bree

Limicoline birds probe of tiny beaks
Cerripedes cling - of rock jetty walls
Tumble to shore, scoured by wind, by sand

Dephinidae family-play, chirrups avow
Perceived near silted edge
As inland rolls the sea

Blessed - this Shangri-la
Peace, quiet soul
Creation, presented us

Euphony, miles around
Tunes linger over moist earth
Moving ridges - blue, green salty de-bree

Humility - our
Ever-so-ever thankful
Peace, quiet soul

Waves' tumble, night does endow
Loose sand - wet clay
As inland rolls the sea

Visons 'cross vast waters
Ruffles of promise dapple there
Ever-so-ever thankful

Righteous melodies heard
Moon casts it's shadow
Moving ridges - blue, green salty de-bree
As inland rolls the sea

Placidity drowns fears
All shells, shapes, species
Ruffles of promise dapple there
Frothed, hi-lo white caps, toss, creates odd creases

Beauty of Spring

As winter leaves the stage and takes a bow
A gentle warmth rejuvenates the earth
And dormant spring awakens to endow
Creation with a glorious rebirth.

The sun-kissed touch of resurrection's sway
Excites all nature with its full embrace.
Proud tulips raise their heads in bright array
And spiders weave their threads of silken lace.

The dulcet sounds of birdsong fill the skies
As butterflies with stained glass wings take flight.
Fair, fragile chiffon poppies mesmerize
And cheery golden daffodils delight.

Each season brings its blessings from above
But spring extols the measure of God's love.

The Awakening

Dried by the arid soil,
Brown brush painted
Upon emerald,
Levanter of anguish
Wafts turmoil,
Breachings now herald…

Exposed foot of crimson,
Bled into crying incisions
Upon this aridity,
Fury of the earth
Kindles destruction, arsons,
The world drowns in debility…

Crimson foot,
You shalt stride a day,
Upon emerald meadows
Your pure blood shalt rear,
Your fragrance shalt endow,

Where fidelity shalt kneel down and pray…

                                                                                      For my country, Palestine

Premium Member Ode To Spring

Ode to Spring

Lovely lady kisses winter good-bye
Then writes her name upon receding snows
Her signature flames in rose twilight skies
Lingering, she begs daylight not to go
Dropping ice bound shrouds of hibernation
From her footsteps shakes off the frozen mists
Lady, full of grace, soars on swallow’s wings
Her monogram stitched into creation,
Floral garlands of aromatic twists
Autograph this her lyrical dayspring.

To blessed spring let us sing out an ave,
Rejoicing in rejuvenation sweet
With choruses of warmth inspired ballet
As beneath sky’s blue metaphor we meet,
Herald her return with trumpet flowers
And like spring’s troubadours with accolades
To chant incensed chimes, floral symphonies,
Enter her realm – rest in her sweet bower
Lacy shadows recite in light’s parade
When snow recedes in robin rhapsodies

Capricious imp, coy mischief in your smile,
You flirt with summer’s serendipity
Teach us to sing the song of spring erstwhile,
You enchant us with new epiphany,
Endless lady lives through time’s dimensions
Bouquets of praise come from our budding boughs,
Reflecting Heaven’s sweet spring eternal
You charm the spirit with love’s retention
Then open wide your full womb to endow
Barrenness with victory hibernal.
