Living Truth

Ancient guides of venerated truth
Stumble through numb spiritual graveyards
Where truth casts its shadow in chiseled words,
A signature of affection,
On moss bathed alabaster stones that once
Gleamed in treasures of veracity,
Autographed insights of the ancient sages
Screams out the litany of wisdom
Then begs, like balm, the insomniac unconscious heart
To intone a resurrection,
A living trove of living verbs in action
Breaking from the bondage of a chrysalis redecorated
With raw promises to shake off stagnation,
Relight the lantern star of the eternal spring’s veracity
Springing into actions that rise from stone inertia
Insight’s revelation releases a new song of songs
Truth that lives anew –
That propels the quest of new a-ha’s
That plants new reasons for renewed actions
In the waiting heart embraced.

She That Embraced The Darkness In Her Veins

With her mind not sick of dark devious games
she opens dead doors, tossing in more painful blames
in newly acquired realm, no mercy was real
as darkness ate away, weeping heart to steal.
She planted her black roses, her favorite crop
Embracing hate masters, never going to stop.

As her heart transformed to stone, sky fell away
nights holding no moons and bright stars, only grey
listening for wolves to howl and night owls hoot
she pondered life and how deep her ancient roots.
Garden wide, its radiant color darkest black
She counted her evil chips, in multiple stacks.

With heartache's deadliest weapon, she spared none
as souls shattered, she would cry out, this is fun
in heralded glory, she lit bigger fires
lustily craving hotter funeral pyres.
When nights got boring, her satanic eyes would blaze
Out into waiting wild world, all hell she would raise.

Rhyme, (Dark Oft Invades Broken Hearts)

Note- The muse said, when darkness invades and the heart saddens and sinks
write words from malevolent parades and pour us both much stiffer drinks!

In summer, my love,
Butterflies dance around you
Heat captures our souls,
But when autumn rains its leaves,
Our love will embrace the wind.

Premium Member Embraced Between Sea and Stars

I had my first glimpse of her from the sandy beach,
her silhouette painted on the sky's canvas of peach
The regal double-mast brigantine, sailing out to sea
Upon waves she rode, full glory not yet at apogee

But whence the wind, her sails would be unfurled,
she'd glide quickly over waters, crested and curled
Fully hoisted and billowing in flowing trade winds,
chased by dolphins, breaking surface with dorsal fins

I longed to be a mariner aboard her quarterdeck
visiting foreign ports along the journey I would trek
Hearing tall tales the sailors were bound to embellish
Her crew was setting sail on a voyage I would relish

I yearned to stand at the helm; salt spray on my face
Memories of such an adventure I'd cherish and embrace,
on a vessel sailing between the sea and the stars
But I sit in the shallows, enviously watching from afar

Premium Member He Embraced the Sea

He said he needed to freely roam, so on a ship he set sail.
He embraced the sea, deserting me. My one love bid me farewell.

He said he needed to feel the wind caress his face till day was done.
Deserting me, he embraced the sea and was loved by moon and sun!

He said he needed to breathe the scent of ocean salt and fresh air.
He embraced the sea, deserting me. Too strong was their love affair.

He said he needed to stay with her and not with me on dry ground.
Deserting me, he embraced the sea - her blue beauty all around.

He said he needed to hear the crash of her waves. What was her lure?
Embraced by the sea, deserting me; he lived all his life for her.

He said he needed the space she gave. In the end, he was her slave!
Deserting me, embraced by the sea, he is hers, for she’s his grave

Premium Member Embraced For Eternity

You were there in the night
Sensual rhapsody evolved
With a safe place in sight
Our love mystery was solved

I can still feel your hair
A fathomless love union found
With invincible care
Synchronicity to be crowned

We discovered our bliss
Beyond quietus it would be
No longer would we miss
The truth in visions that we see

It was our love story
Silently falling into place
A familiar glory
For eternity we embrace

His Touch Embraced My Soul

I was floating in darkness, searching for the truth
Not quite believing what I'd been told in my youth
Lotus bud, unable to open in full bloom
fearing without light, I would wither in my gloom

Then I read the righteousness of God's Holy Word
Sentiments within my heart were aroused and stirred
I was blossoming like a Lotus in moonlight
Saved by contrition, petals unfurled in pure white

A flower nurtured by His own merciful hands
no more searching; an enlightened one understands
the divine glory of God and His clement grace
I felt his touch upon my soul as an embrace

Spiritual elation rid me of my grief
Trusting in His Word nourished my faith and belief

Embraced

As we lay next to each other,
Not embraced
It breaks my heart.

We wake each morning day,
Holding one another
But still never embraced.

It tears at my being,
That I long to be with you.

As my heart yearns and longs,
To touch your heart
To caress your mind
And to embrace your soul.

It's endless, as to the touch of a flower.

I have searched the highs and lows,
The mountains to the sea
And the sea to the heavens above.

And now, the embraceable has been found,
In the yearning heart like mine.

For the beauty that she shows,
And the love that she shares
It's far beyond anything
I have dreamed of.

To this, I thank you,
For the embrace that you've given to me
That I have only dreamed it to be.

Premium Member Embraced By Loneliness

He was embraced by depressing loneliness

While dancing with the shadows of despair

But hoping was he, her smile to shine again

For the path to happiness, him to prepare!

I dedicate this poem to my friend, Tommy Boy, who reminded me
"there remains hope - John 5:28,29. always hope!"
I, from my part, reminded him of Pandora's box and the story
told by Hesiod the 7th century BC. where hope is our only friend!

Embraced By Her Lovely Face

Gracious folds as satin, silky dunes waft
Undulating curves; frothy waves tossed

Seamless grooves filter subconscious dreams
Pallid contours emit hypnotizing streams

From her chiseled, sculpted mold congruent beams stretch
In well-rounded center, a sharp, cerebral image doth sketch

From smooth surface glides an effervescent glow
In the glistening radiance a sultry wind doth bellow

From high cheek bones swaggers a dignified tone
Beneath, ingratiating shadows mystique doth chaperon

Cheeks blushed with rosy hue bedewed garlands strew
Cupped in ivory fount from which bubbling streams flow

Premium Member Caught Up-Embraced In Jesus Arms-Spanish Verse

 compartir tu corazón;
Deseo ver el alma de tu espíritu en la luz;
Deseo ser solo tuyo, tuyo;
Abrazos abundantes por ti y por el Señor;
El cielo es un lugar justo;
Donde Dios controla con Su luz de gracia;
Ven conmigo;
Por siempre lo estaremos;
Liberado
Abrazado en brazos de Jesús;
I wish to share your heart;
I wish to see your spirit's soul in the light;
I wish to be just yours, yours;
Abundantly embraces by you and the Lord;
Heaven is just our place;
Where God controls with His light of grace;
Come with me;
Forever we'll be;
Freed
Caught up-embraced in Jesus arms;

If We Only Embraced The Could Be's

There in a single splash of ocean swell
could be great joy instead of blackest doom.
If only dry desert hotter than hell
could be a wet and spaciously cool room.

The could be's that stirs a man's longing mind
could be ripped from his eternal soul.
What we once were, we shall one day soon find
is a dead ball that no longer will roll.

Lurking in magic thoughts lies such tales
of bright stardust, golden castles and hope.
Could be if we follow magical trails
we'd lasso the moon if given the rope.

If life were jumbo buckets of could be's
man could preserve earth, trees and hopeful seas!

"The American Way"

On a 2008 cold brisk Winter's Day
  Americans voted and joined to pray

Changing its history
  with songs of glory

Freedom´s regal souls
  stood tall and bold

Renewing Dr. King's dream
  one America, one Team

A day etched in infamy
  if never again to be

Brave Americans
  took a stand
  on the promised land

Premium Member The Moon Embraced the Sun

The shy Moon dims her silver to sleep
Bored of wishes from chattering Stars
She nods off into the dawn glimpsing
The handsomeness of the morning Sun

As twilight breaks the Moon's dreams
She awakes from the warmth of the Sun
The mighty yellow sphere bows into the sea
The Moon glows pining for the glorious Sun

Twinkle blinking and mean-full winking
Those pestering Stars laugh out loud
And mock the Moon to break
Into her crescent shape and blue shade

The Moon closes her eyes waning away
Wishing for dawn just to glance
At her beautiful prince of light
Shining with rays of brightness

Whispering Stars secrets dim into day
Their rhythm of rhyme reaches the Sun
Curious he becomes of the Moon
Does she really love me?

A wave of warmth covers the Moon
She peers into the light to see
The smiling face of the mighty Sun
She awakes new and full

The busy Earth looks up
Two celestial bodies embrace
The Moon eclipses the Sun
And blocks his light from sight

The full Moon shines her silver
Bouncing off waves she smiles
Stars blink and twinkle quietly
The Earth hushes round and round

As dawn breaks the Sun waves
And the Moon bows way for day
They have their moments to be
Those silly stars blush silently.
