Premium Member Be the Flame of Compassion

Be the star that brightens someone’s dark sky,
Be the light that illuminates a gloomy night,
Be the flame of compassion to life gone awry,
Even if you don’t think your candle is bright.

Despair not in a world gripped in jaws of woe
For beyond hills of grief dwells halo of hope,
Be the spring that rises through wintry throe,
Even when struggling in laments hard to cope.

Be the forest that grows through ashes of fire,
Be the dream that assuages angst of nightmare,
Be the angel of goodwill when times are dire,
Even when fate, callously, ignores your prayer.

Be not pain of misery, be not voice of dismay,
From goals of life revered, you must not stray,
Wish not for anyone, horizons shrouded gray,
Even while a storm drenches your sunny day.

Premium Member Within the Fog Distant Mountains Strain

“Within the fog the distant mountains strain
Bruised in shades lavender and forest green
Each angle decomposing ~ ~ ~ in the rain”

While dreary dawn, dazed, awakens in pain
Trapping blushed morning in languid ravine
Within the fog the distant mountains strain

Darkened is design sketched on golden plane
Shadowed is rosy grin of once pristine scene
Each angle decomposing ~ ~ ~ in the rain

While crystal skyline drenches in cloudy reign
Blurring scarlet arc decaying in fading sheen
Within the fog the distant mountains strain

Stellar stage is roiled in motifs of graying stain
Splintered are dim-beams upon ashen sateen
Each angle decomposing ~ ~ ~ in the rain

Though hope gleams as winds start to wane
Lifting purpled amethyst zeal, as yet unseen,
Within the fog the distant mountains strain
Each angle decomposing ~ ~ ~ in the rain

Youth
I remember you well
The happiness and the perfection
A lifetime in which to dwell
No worries to block my path
Playing make believe with my dolls
Unaware of the passage of time and age
Oblivious to hate and cruelty
Happy and content with my thoughts
No nightmares to disturb my peace
Teddy bear pressed to my cheek
Friends to laugh with
A Mom and Dad to hold close
Boyfriends that came and went
A long life ahead
A career, love, marriage, children
No rock left unturned

Elder
Do I know this reflection
This woman who bears my name
Where did the little girl of yesterday go
And the woman that was me
She only resides inside nowadays
My hair has lost its sparkle
My cheeks are hollow and pale
Eyes that are too dark and empty
My beauty has faded away
Many deaths have left me alone
Nightmares rock me to sleep
In the dark I weep
I fear the end and wish it also
The pain of old age pulses in my bones
Dear God, take me home

Death
I lay beneath the green earth
In peace I dwell
Here I watch the changing sky
The rain drenches me
The snow is beautiful as it lays upon me
The sun soothes my bones
The cool earth wraps me in her arms
Filigree clouds drift by dreamily
I listen to the wind in the trees
I hear the voices weep above me
I gather each falling tear
Death is not such a terrible place
I want to say to those above
The youth of yesterday was fleeting
My elder years were long and painful
And only death has loved me well
Now I reside in Paradise
My only regret are things left unfinished

Pouring down the pane, singing
It’s the praise of soft rain
Gentle, like a sweet kiss falling
On whispering, hopeful lips

Gracious and gifted with faith
Painting the countryside in hues
Of misty gray music, forgiving
Thriving on the nourishment
It drenches with life, a pure diet
On black earth and vibrant petals
Caressing, like laughter
Dancing on the hope of a hereafter
When tears so timidly mingled
With showers of simplicity
Feelings of mystery, sensitive
To the breath of God sending us
Remedies to our worries, our doubts
Captured on the drops of belief
Sprinkling compassion through
Dreams and promises of a moment
When His love will pour out
A blessing more wholesome than
Any downpour from the heavens

Rainfall excites as the new moonlight slips,
and drop by drop I know my heart is taken
by him , pressing between the mouths and lips
as trickles of first love grow unshaken.

Oh he leaps, enthralled by our pure romance
that I can feel his wonder…to laugh, to tease
igniting bright ardor without resistance,
while drizzles hum tunes of summertime’s breeze.

Gently, rainfall drenches one silhouette
meshed in affection through an evening, kind
till we replay theme songs like a duet,
engrossed in youth's charm, tossing all behind.

Abracadabra - It's Magical- Collaboration

A picturesque scene from my window this afternoon.
Banishing all greying clouds, the sky is pastel blue.
Radiating the sun's rays, rain was not seen for days.
Astonishing vibrant rainbow of flowers are strewn.
Clusters of marigolds, daffodils and lilies grow.
A glorious image appears in the far lagoon.
Delicate swans are gliding in the sparkling waters.
Adorable signets will be completely grown soon.
Bewitching aromas from where the white jasmine grew.
Rain was not seen for days, radiating the sun's rays.
Alluring sunset drenches all crimson, by the moon.

Ethereal Reminisce

Quintessence of Monalisa mystifies me.
Silver blazon of Sahara sands scintillates me
Majesty of the Milky Way overwhelms me,
and they all remind me of you.
An autumn forest drenches in rain showers,
and the fantasy reminds me of you
A vista of multi chrome mural radiates,
and the harmony reminds me of you
I see the brightest star in the sky,
I hear the sweetest lyrical ballad
I feel the swaying cradle of love
I touch the luminous lotus in a lake,
and the peace reminds me of you.

Your sublime thoughts never go away
In the pristine crystal vase of my heart,
with dainty dew drops, I keep you fresh,
too alien in my world, too silent to speak.
too beautiful to touch your scarlet cheek
Every moment, your love and smile I miss.
As I breathe your air in ethereal reminisce,

Fragrant Promise

Nascent pristine hopes sprout stealthily
from the submerged swamps of anxieties,
     parched earth frets over consequences
to fuel naive hopes into realities of void
burdened with the clutter of aged promises,
fervent wind denies hope to flourish
effervescence of faith sustains the sapling.
I shiver at my failed encounters,
           lost desires from broken promises;
you radiate truth with a divine Aurora
calming my perturbed oceans of scars,
        soothing whispers dissolving delusions.
Your promise of a love that lasts forever
blooms with my infant hope born yet again
in my ancient orchard of disappointments,
perhaps hope is an everlasting promise too.
When my hallucinations overtake my existence
you bridge my fantasies with visible world
and fuse my bliss with your intuition.
     Unfulfilled promises, superfluous allegations
in a world where none volunteers to be a promise.
You erase my hazy visions of torn pages
and color them with your dripping love.
Two parallel waves in unison moving forth
rising with crests and falling with troughs
merging in the tranquility of a shore afar
next to the ocean enchanted by seagulls
guiding my lost spirit in storms with your light.
My hopes have grown into a lush fir tree
  swaying with your glistening smiles.
You become my universe peeking into imaginations
      of my stories, melodies, musings at nights;
and when I return to reality you wait
with my sublime corner by your side,
my book of musings flourishes by your essence.
Perhaps humans should keep their promises,
I believe theirs too get fulfilled someday.
I smile every time the fir tree drenches me
dissolving the fragrance of musk-soaked love
in raindrops and snowflakes of your promise--
To be the love that retains the existence of
everlasting hope in this world-- your promise..

Premium Member Interlocking Rueful Sky and Trapped Earth

Azure blue skies weep in rent glacial torrents,
iridescent earth sun trap poised to garner sympathy,
dark red cloud’s indignant float might yet rumble,
toxic deluge drenches mudbank plot as toilers whine,
thunderstruck I gaze at wild indigo sea mist on brine-fleck shore

Edge of seat terra firma species orange alert mere bluster,
grim altitude apocalypse for amber moon orb,
rampant shower pockmark with visual scar as trenchant plague,
vapour trail from lachrymose horizon now a shrunken haze,
alarm bell’s doleful peal across an impact cratered expanse once sumptuous mint green

Stream of gurgling silken brook upon reciprocal bright cadence,
otherworldly pine from volatile nebulae’s damp swathe,
vapid biome acreage a gaunt reflection though surreal,
despite magenta stardust twinkle whose infant phase corralled
by wayward drizzle

Hemisphere by half redolent of sombre devastation,
yet exotic visual haunt is that vaunted shadow zone,
sweet maple leaf ether bound refuge from monsoon rife,
pot of gold opal strewn paradise escape hatch,
from lesion blight topsoil or open sore empyrean

Purple leaf and bell pepper cascade swirling o'er panic stricken globe,
perfume clad hillock under hawk-eye squint,
denizens idyllic foster atmospheric canny urban vault,
they hobble gingerly on salmon pink stone bridge en route to harried terrain rescue

Together In the Moonlight

~

Every sunset beauty
found within your eyes
drenches my desires
intoxicates my sighs

Skin of satin whispers
softness sent to touch
wishing in the silence
wanting you so much

Merely but to kiss you
every dream come true
lost within the twilight
moments spent with you

This October evening
fall is in the air
together in the moonlight
as our love we share

Premium Member Spring

While springtime presses in on my thoughts,
forcing me to believe that even the stillness
the clingy silence who drenches my spirit
in rhythms of non-regret, rhythms of pure peace
releasing my soul from the fading feelings,
the emotions that store up broken dreams,
broken hearts, brokenness –
like books to read, someday –
when the time is right, when I don’t feel
so lonesome when I hear the words they write,
the stories they tell – about going through hell.

While springtime pours out her dew drenched feelings,
	blessings so gentle, reflecting, sentimental
praying faithfully to the One who created
the winds and the sea, the music so sweet, resting
against the silence in lingering shades of melancholy
blue black Decembers relieve my spirit, restoring me
	to the heart of spring,
		where I bleed with truth,
			intimate stories, pouring
from the night, where stars glisten and the moon listens
revealing the way it is when death descends, like a friend.

While springtime delays my despair, the desperation
beyond compare, dread that feeds on the overcast
skies in blue gray, welcoming the mysterious haze,
releasing me from the time before my soul would find
the meaning of this life,
not in springtime or December
not in the seas or the trembling breeze
not in the seeds of thought we remember
No – it is found in the beautiful knowing
where my soul keeps going, growing
in waves of light, reflections so bright
the stars can’t glisten loud enough
the night can’t see the cloudless, love
the moments are bound up in hope
trusting the One who came to save
the One whose grace God gave
the One who is life
the One who is the sacrifice…

teaching each soul, to let go – to let go
to surrender to His love,
to believe this God above
who reaches out to us, assuring and renewing
completing out lives with a love that is alive
a love that can heal and feel and is so real
a love that comes from knowing
the One whose love is flowing
from the spirit of grace,
His never ending grace!

Oh, Sweet Love! Sweet GRACE!

Premium Member Dusk

Beneath the darkening of clouds, dusk creeps,
touching the horizon of a placid periwinkle sea.
Blue waters caress a craggy shore as light
drenches earth's floor - a wilderness -
with utter brilliance.
Crimson, persimmon and vibrant green shrubbery
shine beneath the sky
as sun surrenders to its twilight fate.
Before sun sets, I bathe
in the beauty I behold.

Divine

Awakening, cocooning
The air with tenderness, breathing,
As it waters arid grounds, speaking,
As it drenches the air with harmonious sounds, it makes
One succumb the soul,
It makes one
Thank God…

Nature’s divinity, as
It enraptures me, liberating
My soul from earth’s dimness and
Opaqueness…

In its arms I am, and
Within its embrace I’ll eternally be…

The twilight cloud drizzles pearls on you,
pristine patina flows on curls of tress ebony,
rave rapture drenches me, you’ve no clue.
The twilight cloud drizzles pearls on you,
setting scarlet sun sprinkles dreamy hue,
surreal crystals cascade in silent symphony.
The twilight cloud drizzles pearls on you,
pristine patina flows on curls of tress ebony.
