Premium Member I CHERISH PRECIOUS TIMES

I cherish precious times
Along God’s vibrant love*
Resolved midst prayed-for goal
With joyous revival
To fulfill assigned role.

I cherish precious times
With blest triumphant glow
Encouraging me more
To do by faith what’s good
Yes, better than before.

I cherish precious times
Of radiant gladness
Readily reaching-out
Smiting selfishness force
While subduing pride’s pout.

I cherish precious times
having jubilant hope
Living by divine grace
Sharing peace, showing care
Each step upon life’s pace.

Premium Member FAITH IN GOD WHO SANCTIFIES US

February 4 Faith in God Bible Meditations Based on Leviticus 11-13

Key Verse – Leviticus 11:44 For I am the LORD your God: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy…

FAITH IN GOD WHO SANCTIFIES US

God sanctifies us from sin-leprosy
By His mercy healing our plague’s persistency…
We thank Him for the power of His clemency
That transforms us by faith along His love’s fervency.

God sanctifies us from flesh-filthiness
By His holiness melting our lustfulness…
We thank Him for the brightness of His righteousness
That radiates around us by faith midst worldliness.

God sanctifies us from pride-inflammation
By His meekness smiting our arrogant reaction…
We thank Him for the clarity of His instruction
That propels us by faith toward growth’s function.

God sanctifies us from vice-defilement
By His purification vanquishing our addiction impairment…
We thank Him for His grace of restoration-replenishment
That upholds us by faith against evil allurement.

God sanctifies us from trespass-infirmity
By His forgiveness correcting our iniquity…
We thank Him for His pardon of acquitting quality
That makes us by faith to enjoy eternal life’s security.

God sanctifies us from command-disobedience
By His discipline conquering our rebellion-resurgence…
We thank Him for His Word of steadfast diligence
That enables us by faith to win against carnal expedience.

God sanctifies us from transgression-pest
By His purity cleansing our errors to the fullest…
We thank Him for His kindness of compassionate zest
That blesses us while we do by faith our utmost best.

The Fisherman

Winters end brings fish to the bay.
where all the birds decide to lay.
And foxes and bunnies run around,
On the the grassy, sandy mound.

There is man with a pole
that doesn't have a goal
his hook is empty
and asleep dreamt he,
nothing but the ocean breeze.
Then in a swift and careful motion
did he jig his line.
Now I notice his pole is a stick and line was twine.

I ask "what do you suppose you'll catch
with that stick for a pole and twine for a line."
He said "If me and that fish do by chance intertwine
ill be happy for awhile,
But I am satisfied with how I beguile this time."
So as I watched this fisherman I cracked a smile.
Cause although he has nothing but a stick for a pole and twine for a line,
he has become more content with life.
So I left and continued with my strife.

Fidel Castro

Fidel Castro
So you do know Fidel Castro? I think I do
that was the name of the mess boy, the one who
had to do the dirty dishes and clean floors
“Fy” as he was called was older than me and had
a much better education, and I, as his boss felt his
contempt being told what to do by an officer of
working class, roots. But I knew as everybody who
read knows, the little man is but a servant for
the rich, they need someone educated to tell them
what to do; In Venezuela, Fidel jumped ship he was
not missed and we got another mess-boy
who could not read or write because the wage he got
could support his family. The downside was I had
no one to argue with

Conflict

Some say “it’s better to have love and lost than never love at all”
They also say “if it was meant to be it will come right back to you”
I say “love is the enemy the silent destroyer and not to be underestimated”
It is the ruler of your brain and the master of your heart

Anything lost should remain lost; if its possession was of any worth it would
not be neglected
Nothing is meant to be if it was not carved in stone, our future is mold by our
choices.
Never get emotionally attach to anything /any one you cannot see yourself
without.
For life is a journey and understanding should not compliment doubt.

Some say “never to burn your bridges behind you”
They also say “you cannot know the future without knowing your past”
I say “knowing your history is one thing but the future still remains a mystery.
Some bridges are made to be burned while some weren’t strong enough to
last
Not everyone that gives a helping hand has a good intention
Your friend could be as close as your brother but behind his aid manifest
deception

“No man is an island and no man stands alone”, I remember this well.
Who made this phrase up, what do they mean and on what aspect? Please do
tell.
Unity is strength I know this to be true and still what was made a whole can be
broken in two
I say “anything you can’t do by your self leave it alone and be very careful not
to make ones burden your own.

Some say “the youths have no hope for the future”
Yet what hope does the future provide for the youths?
And what’s the sense of being direct if it’s not all the truth?
Also what good is an opinion now if you chose to be mute?

I say “youths make use of your prime”
And ensure that you’re being paid for your time.
Never expect people to tell you the truth,
It would be a bonus if they do
People will say what they want also do what they want
So I say, time is money so when you talk be quick
And when you come with your ideology or your tricks
Come prepared for a conflict

The Price of Love

“There’s a price for keeping me; I might be cheap but I ain’t free”
It’s not your money I need, just some assurance from you
I’ll travel this road by your side, what’s ahead we can’t foresee
A golden ring is not required, loving acts mean more to me

“Hey, shut up, don’t lie to me. You think I’m blind, but I’ve got eyes to see”
Please don’t profess your love or feel you must stoop on bended knee
If you see tears in my eyes, hold me in a tender embrace
This is the pathway to my heart; my sadness will be erased

“Along this road you lost your soul to a woman so heartless”
And what she did to you I can’t understand, I must confess
Somehow she shut off the flow of love that’s hidden in your heart
How can I restore your trust so we can make a new start?

Yes, I know you’ve been hurt; recovery is long overdue
If you can just be there for me, I vow to be there for you
Together in love’s unity our spirits will again soar
“Search your heart, search your soul, when you find me there, you’ll search no more”

Across the Mediterranean

I watched them took-off for their search for greener pastures
Adventurers with unclosed or unknown destinations
One thing was sure; they were going to cross the Mediterranean
Their determination overweighed the risk ahead of them
They were so desperate for a better life than their present conditions
Even like armless soldiers at war, they were ready to embark on their journey
These were all disgruntled youths from Africa
Their fingers of anger were all pointed at their leaders and governments

I watched them packed their loads, ready to face the unknown
Their faces proved disappointments from their fatherlands
In their minds, there was no better place than across the Mediterranean
These were jobless graduates from Africa
It was better to die in a strange land than live in a corrupt fatherland
These youths were running away from embezzlement and violation of human rights
But little did they know that all their dreams would be shattered in the Mediterranean Sea

I saw a group of frustrated mothers when the sad news stormed our land
Their dreams for a rich and better life had drowned in the Mediterranean
They cried with accusing fingers pointed at the government
Yet the government showed no compassion for her fallen compatriots
Neither did they express any pity for tears of these poor mothers
How I wished this injustice was rendered to them as well
But there was so little I could do by then

The Things I'Do

What do I have to do__To make you believe I'm true?
I'm willing to do whatever it takes__To make your dreams come true.

I've been having dreams of you;dreaming of being right next to you.
Don't think that I'm crazy,but I am__crazy about you!

It's what you do, I've never been so proud to say I'm crazy, except for you!
Crazy things I'm willing to do, just to know,I may get a chance of being with you.

Can you picture me and you? Doing things like normal couples do;
Taking long walks; holding hands; and even, sometimes, argue too?

It's okay if we do, cause there will be days when I'll start sounding like a fool.
But sometimes that's okay too, cause there's nothing wrong of being a fool, just for you.

I know all this sounds too good to be true,
But if I could, I would, no doubt be good to you.

I do…understand how relationships could turn out be so uncool;
But nevertheless, I'll be there for you, no matter what you're going through.

I'm going to… be the best that I can, by becoming to be the best man for you.
Simply by being a man and man up, Even when we have to face a problem or two.

It's no problem boo! If by any chance you even run into two months past due;
Due to the type of man I am, do understand, I'm not just passing through.

Just don't think that I'm perfect, cause I have skeletons in my closet too.
And if you wish… I'll even share every last one of them with you

Cause I will hold no secrets, nor will I withhold any information from you.
Cause if we are two in one accord, then you should be informed on all of the things I use to do;

Which is just the right thing to do, by expressing the respect I have for you.
Cause if you do give it chance, it would be best that I share these things with you.

Cause as God is my witness, there is nothing in this world I wouldn't do just to be with you.
That's even if I had to…go through hell and back....I'll do all just for you!

Son What Can I Do

Son What Can I DO by Laura Delacroix
As I sit here all alone,
Drifting,drifting in another zone
I feel your heartache over here
please take a hard look in the mirror
What is it child that you see
I know you just want to be free
Free from the pain that has brought you here
believing in your heart no one is near
But just know that is not true
We all see that you are feeling blue
You think that there is no one you can trust
But helping yourself is a must
I cant make it all go away
I have to leave I cannot stay
Day after day I watch you suffer
I have got to stop rescuing you so you can be tougher
They say that I am an enabler
but to me I want to help you get stabler
I tried so hard but deep down inside
I look at you and feel the pride
To have a child as special as you
please help me God I know not what to do
You see son I am suffering just like you
The love I feel in my heart is oh so true
They say I have to walk away
I have to go I cannot stay
I put my life on hold praying that I could fix you
There is just nothing left for me to do
Its all up to you now
I believe I have shown you how
I have done my best-all that I can
to guide you along to be a strong man
I have done my part thats all I can say
The balls in your court its time to get up and play
Spread your wings so you can fly
reach up reach out into the sky
Remember son I believe in you
I wish there was more I could do
But the answer is yours it is not mine
I can just pray to GOD that you will be FINE!!!!

What Makes Friendship

What makes distance so touchable,
What makes arm wrestling physical,
What makes fun a thing for two,
What makes tears of missing you,
What makes secrets last, insiders,
What makes smiles, to be tear-wipers,
What makes fighting, ugh, forgivable,
What makes forgiving unbearable,
What makes oops somewhat culpable,
What makes cleanup punishable,
What makes laughs, the one-legged wins,
What makes others say, "Not twins?",
What makes saying goodbye really hard,
What makes memories my field of regard.

Hope It's Not Too Late

Last night I got to thinkin',
of the years that passed me by,
and how many that I wasted,
it almost made me cry!

Age is gettin' to me,
my hair has turned to grey.
My pace is much more slower now,
I've seen my better day!

Well, hindsight's twenty-twenty,
no sense lookin' back!
What's done is done, the past can't change,
and that, my friend's a fact!

So, I'll do the very best I can,
With whatever time remains.
I'll do my exercises, every day,
Despite the aches and pains!

I know that yesterday is gone,
not to dwell on failures past.
I'll make the most of every day,
however long I last!

I'll take pride in all I do,
my values redefined!
I'll make a conscious effort,
to control my heart and mind!

I'll try to make life brighter,
in what I do or say,
and bring a smile to someone's face,
each and every day!

I know it won't be easy.
It could be quite a chore!
What I used to do by nature,
ain't that natural anymore!

So that's things as I see 'em!
I hope it's not too late!
I'll make the most, of the time I've left,
till I reach those pearly gates!

Premium Member Aphrodite-W

The goddess of love, beauty and sexual rapture,
Born out of the churning and foaming of
Severed genitals thrown into the ocean
Her beauty irresistible, joyous and glamorous
Was a concern of worry to her father Zeus,
Who married her off to sooty Hephaestus.
She loved and was loved by gods and mortals.
Adonis being the most famous of all.

With her charms Aphrodite still lives on,
Father Zeus no more worried about her.
Gods have retired from the earth as they
Are no longer interested in earthly beauty.
Adonis is available for the asking,
Sex - still the only method of worship.

I'M a Free Man, Or I'M Nothing

Julio was born in Guadalajara,
And waited for years to leave.
Got his visa and moved to Dakota
To work in the oil fields.

Some folks in suits came up to him,
To cheer illegal voices.
He scoffed and said he didn’t care,
Those people made their choices.

They heard his accent and they puzzled
They thought that he was bluffing.
He threw them out and raised the cry:
‘I’m a free man, or I’m nothing!’
		--
Eric was born a city fellow
He was tall and dark of skin.
He saw the stores flee one by one,
No work left there for him.

He would not take a hand-out, no
Nor let someone else provide,
He knew too well the slow decay
Of a person without pride.

Some cried ‘Uncle Tom’ the day he left
And set about to angry huffing
But on his porch Eric painted proud:
‘I’m a free man, or I’m nothing.’
		--
Mark was born in old San Fran,
And found his tastes turn to men,
But he hated taxes and being told
What to do by the government.

Two people who liked to wear black,
Saw these thoughts as a heresy.
They tracked down Mark to have a ‘talk,’
To let him know how things would be.

But when they set upon the man
To beat from him his stuffing,
Mark thrashed them both while he cried out:
‘I’m a free man, or I’m nothing!’
		--
Aaron was once known as Ahkmed
Until teenage doubts grew louder.
He walked away to find his truth
To find peace unlike no other.

Some took not kindly to his act
They raised the cry of ‘apostate!’
Proclaimed for this that he must die
On that there was no debate.

But when they came upon his gun
And their knees, they started buckling
The final worlds they ever heard:
‘You’re a free man, or you’re nothing…’

Everything I Do

Everything I do By: Aaron Fletcher

My life is a little strange,
no not like deranged,
I have a passion to please the masses
There is little to explain,
and it's hard to maintain,
I do not want to teach christian classes.

Everything I do,
I will do for you,
Everything I experience will become real,
Now I promise I’m not Crazy,
my thoughts a little hazy,
but you make me feel--

Wonderful, Nothing can stop me,
Powerful, you're the one who sets me free.
To be better than anyone else that I can't be.
You help me believe to be--
Marvelous, rushing to the finish line,
Confident, victory will be mine.
To be better than anyone else that I could be
You make me Believe.

I always examine,
the world around me’s demandin’,
that I have to be a certain way
I want to be better,
there are 3 letters,
That will hopefully make you stay
I just hope it's not cliche
What I’m trying to convey

Everything I do,
I will do for you,
Everything I experience will become real
Now I promise I’m not Crazy
my thoughts a little hazy
but you make me feel---

Wonderful, Nothing can stop me,
Powerful, you’re the one who sets me free.
To be better than anyone else that I can't be.
You help me believe to be
Marvelous, rushing to the finish line, Confident, victory will be mine. To be better than anyone else that I could be You’re the reason why I Believe

So maybe one day you will know what I feel
It's not perfect but too me its ideal
