Hope It's Not Too Late

Last night I got to thinkin', of the years that passed me by, and how many that I wasted, it almost made me cry! Age is gettin' to me, my hair has turned to grey. My pace is much more slower now, I've seen my better day! Well, hindsight's twenty-twenty, no sense lookin' back! What's done is done, the past can't change, and that, my friend's a fact! So, I'll do the very best I can, With whatever time remains. I'll do my exercises, every day, Despite the aches and pains! I know that yesterday is gone, not to dwell on failures past. I'll make the most of every day, however long I last! I'll take pride in all I do, my values redefined! I'll make a conscious effort, to control my heart and mind! I'll try to make life brighter, in what I do or say, and bring a smile to someone's face, each and every day! I know it won't be easy. It could be quite a chore! What I used to do by nature, ain't that natural anymore! So that's things as I see 'em! I hope it's not too late! I'll make the most, of the time I've left, till I reach those pearly gates!

Nice poetry here, Ralph. Well done. Good luck with all this, however. I've committed myself to fifty sit ups per day and I'm not sitting up much, lol.
