Show me the Funny (part two)

Eskimo Nell & the Door Repair Man

Now Eskimo Nell
Has a story to tell
A tale, about my last visit
Into her igloo
I went through and through
Though this entrance I’m told is illicit

She said, “Just for you
That one will do
Coz the wind, it chills to the core
Me back gets stone froze
When whoever, God knows
Is hammering, at the front door”

I told her, “Thank you”
And with no more ado
I slammed that back door with some might
I was grateful to seize
Some relief from the freeze
And discover it fitted so tight

She said she was pleased
That it had come un-seized
For some of her clients she thought
Preferred the back door
Where nobody saw
They were doing what they hadn’t ought

“I’d keep it well oiled
Coz you don’t want it spoiled
As it sure gets a great deal of use
So if it gets dry
You’ll find standing by
This bottle of lubricant juice”

Then the bolt was so stiff
Which was nothing diff
So plenty of juice I applied
Coz I’d known from before
It could give you a sore
If the bolt did not easily slide

Now the bolt it was cold
Like an ice cube to hold
And to warm up it needed some friction
It, I moved back and forth
For all I was worth
And it helped being in such constriction

She asked “Are you done”
I said, “No, not yet hon”
So I picked up the pace, worked like hell
Soon achieved my aim
She said, “Glad that you came
You’re great service to Eskimo Nell”.

Premium Member Me and My Bike

Beneath a perpetual sky
Longing to perceive nature’s sigh,
In lanes of sparkling morning dew
Before ‘Draughton village’ we view.

Thunder lightning hoarfrost and hail
Sunbaked days when coasting the dale,
‘Bolton Abbey’ stone throw from home
Muscles taut, like a garden gnome.

West wind howling hard to face
When 'Crindles Hill’ did slow the pace,
Delightful scene when on the crest
Downward cruise gratifying rest.

This green bike bought from ‘Uncle Cliff’
Dreams fulfilled with chain driven diff,
Simple, yet it was nature’s plan
This childhood journey that began!

There's a diff between rebellion
and making a point...

Piece of it's maturity
which don't come easy

Takes experience which takes
time.

Optimism

Even in darkness,if one writes with colours one can see
the bright side of life rather than writing in black
there is a blessing in every curse,
only if one looks beyond the curse
                   think beyond the thoughts,go
deeper within you will end up in a wonderful world called self.
striving for pleasure of the world will end in exhaustion.
Search for self & its realisation will get the world to you.
dont look at the functioning of the outer world, rather
Look deep inside you n dig the greatest treasures in your heart.
God created us with utmost care.though we are diff in personalities
but the ultimate resource is one.
Never to focus on the passing dark clouds rather have
supreme faith in the real you and discard the temporary perishable.
Nothing lasts forever only till time for which it is supposed to stay
the only thing which stays is faith n conviction.,
Nothing great, bold,n beautiful has been achieved without any
setbacks n failure n without an undying spirit to succeed.
Past holds us so tight that should be broken by the positive of present
    n moment called new.
Now has the power to create heaven or hell and the choice is with us,as what has to be made.

Suicide Really- When I Am In You

Came down from heaven, just to live in and
to be with you.
My very special journey starts with ,
crying out of a womb, soaking myself
totally and in the ,whole you,
I'm the 'life' living in you,
everywhere and every moment of time,
I'm really a beautiful present,with all
the world wrapped up in one.
I'm the sweet fragrance in flowers, cool and fresh breeze in the air
innocence in the eyes, smile on the lips,
love in the heart, music in the song,
flow in the river,I'm all if you
really care to see.
I'm in everything here,in the light and dark.
I learn,laugh,cry,tease,care,hurt,
anger,pain,love,relation
through you.
Dear, look closely into me,u will understand,
why it is the way it is.
I'll be here only for a certain period of time, after that
you cant let me stay and I cant either.
Kindly do not throw me away from u before I am to leave.
Do not let my other side take you away ,when I am in u.
seasons change, time flies and I grow with u.
Never take me for granted, once I am gone
gone forever how much u may wish me to be back.
I am same but in diff styles in diff things,so do not
compare.
when pain n hurt comes, let it pass,
It makes me more stronger not weaker.
remember to love me always.
I am you,reflection in all u see,hear,listen,
feel,love.
Do not hang me ,poison or cut till i bleed.
the other dark side is not the solution
when I can solve.
have faith and perseverance, new good times will blossom,
I aint that cruel.
when hard times hit,I will be much more tougher ,to
handle and knock them down.
spread joy and love within u n to others.
Accept and love me truly, you will see the
utmost beautiful and wonderful me,life.

A peculiar middle name, all my life I've been burdened with

My nickname of Jack saved the day and made a big diff!

Soul Dinner Party

I'm mainly confused
  from words that you used
to tell me of yr problems present,
  I'm torn to this way
  then back to that way,
like the end of a pendulum's crescent,

I feel yr torment
  which leaves my heart bent
and gives me one wish to sustain,
for I feel it is constant
  to be what is meant
without blockage or early refrain,
  all that eye know
  is my heart's saying "Go"
but my feet, hands, and lips
       saying "slow down",
and I should trust my own head
over things that I've read
And just to be happy for love found...

but my doubts creep in again
(the most unwelcome of friends)
whom I've come to know all to well,
I just want best for you
  my Kinshala Blue
Even if it means visiting Hell,
but (you know) I'll come back
on an aggressive attack
  'Cause I am so strong
  and so true
So ignore what I've just said,
and rest yr sweet head
my Angel, my Kinshala Blue

And now for a diff 'rent - ish style
which I can only compile
cause you cause my soul to ferment,
I just want you to see
that I'm here (if you want me)
  so it is
     no matter how said,
whether in Russian, or French
whether Latin, or Spanglish

from Kinshala
        I want to be fed....

(with) spoon silver or wooden
or a spork (if a good one)

you can use ( I don't care which)
be it hot or ceviche
  Be Cyranno or Nietzche
Kinshala You've carved yr own niche

in my heartland of love - trust
You can bake me in yr pastry crust
  with Yr simple palette insatiable,
you can stir fry my soul
and serve me up in a bowl
(while) Inhaling my essence
     comme felatio...

then for the fourth course
You could derive from my source
  all the sweetness required
        (and then some)
You could roll me
         and toss me
Pour over,
         and sauce me
While never dropping a crumb

This Contest of Poems

To pick a good subject - to know what to do
A matter that matters 'bout what, where and who
To stick to the script and be stuck in a crowd?
Or stick out as lonely as bright mushroom clouds?

To take an old topic and make it sublime?
Or try something different? A new paradigm!
So what is my title? My content? My muse?
This contest of poems - a fourth wall to use

How can I triumph? The road that's less travelled
And stop my quaint entry by judges be gavelled
Perhaps a sob story just like a soap actor?
But strongly suspect this is not the x factor

I'm taking a risk on my own burning deck
McGonagall style may become a train wreck
With hope for good fortune and fame - we will see
With outrageous fortune - perhaps not to be

To quote from old masters like Kipling? As if!
Or study Ed Lear and Og Nash to be diff
I free inner Loki to help with this verse
My rhyme is his strength and his metre my curse

OK it's not perfect - at least it's a pause
From praiseworthy entries without any flaws
A poetry sandwich that's too good to bite
A cheese marmite filling 'tween bread that is white

If this is discarded as mere doggerel
I'd be most offended - I'd be most unwell
Perhaps not as lovely as J Kilmer's tree
But entered by website - at least paper free

So let's get this turning - let's get this run in
But run short of wordage quite near to the fin
My finger has typed - having tapped and moved on
With such bad quotation I should sign anon

I now reach the finish - I now read the rules
My palm hits my face! Doh! I've been such a fool!
I look at the clauses and take a self kick
It costs six pound fifty - that's taking the mick!

I have a spare stanza - to make lines two score
Will use up this limit - no less and no more
Win, lose or baffle - was well worth the strife
Each year I shall enter - you've got me for life!

Oh my goodness,
what humans are willing to bare
to attract...

Beyond, the mock and mocking bareness
lies the convoluted angst of man,
pleasure seeking, in a self gratifying
wallow of excretions.

The need to roll…down the road…in the hay

to move like corpuscles down
the multitudinous arties of man.

Some draped in fuchsia, an orchid’s blush
with legs so long they make an ass of themselves.

Others tricked out in comfy cotton boostieas
breasts jiggling like jello, mounds of molded eye candy
firm, run-ready calves, taunt and on point
strut
ready to rut
on stiletto heels
still primed for and pandering to
the sought after alpha male.

The androgyny of the 21st century male-dom
making marking the target frustratingly
diff I cult
these drooping, wilted, round shouldered
bow-legged, net walkers seem unlikely sperm donors
for the next generation beyond the pale.

And as their lives settle in to settle down
in the whirlwinds of climate change
oil shortages, constant alpha stripping
further neuters the human potential
as the haves, feed the have nots
into the furnaces of endless war
the heard is culled………

California Dreaming (In This Case, a Nightmare)

It was years ago,
I was younger and more fit,
I went to California,
And was soon scared out of my wit...

I decided to travel,
With family in tow,
Down the "Big Sur",
But I didn't know...

It was a ride into
A nightmare,
I was paralyzed with fear,
Driving on a road,
With death oh so near...

No guard rail in sight,
I near choked on my fright,
Steep cliff on my right,
My imagination took flight

Down into the abyss,
We surely would go,
Californian cars on my bumper,
My terror did ever grow

What do they want?
For me to dive off the cliff?
So they can rush to their goals,
Another five minutes the diff?

There came a pull over spot,
All the closer to doom,
I pulled over quick,
With hardly any room...

The endless traffic went by,
At fifty MPH or more,
I figured I was there,
Till I could no longer endure,

After what seemed endless hours,
I got back on the road,
Got off as soon as possible,
I had no need for a goad

I drove hundreds of miles inland,
In order to return,
To my hotel that day,
And I did learn

It's up to fools to dare,
Things they know not what they do,
And let me tell you,
Of me this was true.

I Have No-Where To Go, But Up (From the Joy&Believe Seris) Pt.3

I've often wonder, why I couldn't comprehend, struggling through the
stares of life, never knowing the end. My rock-bottom seem much diff-
erent than most, your bottom of life prudentcy maybe to never strife to-
wards the abomination of a indulgent host. "But inspiration has shown me,
I have nowhere to go but up". Nowhere but up I say no-where to the terb
on the sidewalk. Life is not always a joyish thought, I have no-where to
go but up. Because, tire of being tire for only the lowest of heart.
"God answer prayers; Believing in yourself begins the first start".
Then you shall say, "Self", I've nowhere to go but up there's no turning
back. There's hope for tomorrow, I'm Attune to the best of me, the
name of this medication is Joy & Believe.

Some Dogs

Some dogs wait to choose their spot;
They circle and they sniff.
Others simply stop and squat,
Like saying, “What’s the diff?

My master picks up dusk or dawn
No matter where my pile is,
So I can go on path or lawn,
‘Cause that’s just what my style is.”

The fussy ones, though, have their pride
And, using all their senses,
They find the perfect place outside,
Despite the consequences.

I wonder how each pooch decides
Just where he feels like pooping,
But gratitude can’t be denied
To those who do the scooping!

The palms, the peas, the protea too
Showing up the lilies and iris ever blue.
The gourds and the daisies growing so fine.
Nothing outshines fungi which walks a clear cut line.
Tens of thousands of plant species
Growing more readily with help of feces.
From bulbs or seeds, makes no diff,
Cover the ground in a giant jiff.
