Premium Member A Bridge Has A Name

Visions of a saint near
that bridge has a name.
The suicide frontier
the method's all the same.
a jump into crashing rocks
head first into oblivion.
Leave behind shoes and socks,
and aspire to be heavenly.

Waves wash away red splashes
before the blood can stain,
a church will have its masses
while many choose the rain.

A return to first opened eyes
Purgatory denounces peace to grave
to the suffering in which we wish to die,
back here all the grief & the shame.

Premium Member Let Me Be

I want to live
today
into my being
I want to love
this hour
into fullness
I want to write
this moment
into eternity

Let me live
let me love
let me write

don't burden me
with responsibilities
with agendas and appointments
with guilt ridden reminders
of what I must do or say today
let me dream it all away

who knows
I might be sleep seduced
death directed
before I attain the apex of aroused awareness
what a crime that would be
if I lost this opportunity

to live
to love
to write

let me be
drenched in destiny
can't you see
desire denounces distractions
from what is meant to be

Let me live
Let me love
Let me write

I need to simply be
the woman inside of me
a lover of life, love, and poetry

Four-Play

Four corners.
Stands, four players.
Quarrels of foul cries, collided.
Facing each nemesis into quadrants, divided.

Individuals motivated by objectives.
Devising plans, careful detectives.
Goal to achieve the highest rank, careful steps--discriminate.
Going by the hit-list, tunnel vision, hindrances must eliminate.

Scoping intensely, measuring opponents, methodical evaluation.
Staying alert, mind assessment, sedulous investigation.
Shrill of the first struck, the red bullet--bounces.
Instant reflex, ricochet the shot, violence--denounces.

The King may bend the rules, charges swift modification.
The Pawns are summoned, critical prosecution.
The Bishop prays for the suspects, classified praises, flattery denunciation.
The Queen cradles a heart, each beat rebounds, battery probation.

Premium Member Despite Distractions

Detaching myself from past experiences' dilemma
determined heart of mine denounces deceit-dominance
dauntless to soar despite distractions…

Devastated by dear Mom’s demise
distressed due to Dad’s despair over his darling’s death
despondent soul faced courage draining…

Demoralized with Brod’s departure from vowed kingdom duties
decreasing steadfastness questioned difficult virtue-demands
debilitating commitment’s diligence, struggling to defy doubts…

Despicable guilt-angst drowned my devotion
dampening service zeal with deafening “don’ts”
drying the will’s sap with demeaning failure doom…

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Delivered triumphantly from days of despair
discreet spirit does cleave to God for His direction
daily yielding to Him midst complete dependence…
Dealt well by the Saviour’s grace to face such decade
dedicated indomitable spirit, propped with decisiveness
deterred not to deny my LORD Who secures me around His defense…
Driven now to ascend midst lurking detours
divinely-braced faith derails disorientation
drawn* to GOD for reaching-out ministerial delight.
*James 4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.
The Black African
Black is my identity,
I'm found in the black of existence
black bushy hair, black the color of my skin.
Beautified to this black at birth
I rise this black to the height of colors ,
I rise this black to the height of races
I am the black African
blessed black by the mighty hand of creation,
distinctively woven into the tapestry of humanity
for the beauty of its countenance,
I rise this black to the height of colors
i rise this black to the height of races
After all,
is this blackness not to be flaunted
on a day like this?
Today , tomorrow and forever the morrow
I am the black African
strumming a tune that echoes
in the wilderness of Africa to the affirmation of our being
Found in the black of existence,
I am the black African
from my mbira player playing a rhythm
that denounces  the follies of our barbarism
behold i say top a fellow black African;
the black of our skin looks best at its pristine,
the black in us feels sweet without hate
We can rise above xenophobia and civil wars
Indeed i say
in the ways of love and unity
this blackness is the greatest taste of Africa.
Black is our identity
together we can fight poverty and diseases ashore
Black bushy hair , black the color of our skin
beautified to this black at birth
We can rise this black to the height of colors,
We can rise this black to the height of races
Behold i say
blackness was born in us to be celebrated,
It is to be flaunted on a day like this
Today , tomorrow and forever the morrow.
Time Blinks
A choreographed dance of heart and deed
fulfills the spirit that denounces greed.
Why, now, should there still be hunger
when all around there’s food to plunder?
Silos sleep, filled to the brim with grain
for prices elevated to obtain more gain.
Why, now, should our children weep
from hunger pains that chases sleep?
Man sneers at over indulgent greed
when there are empty mouths to feed.
Time blinks in favor of a heart that’s giving
and shares the joy of their own thanksgiving.
Premium Member Saturation Mimics Satisfaction
Initialising silhouettes submit to midwinter dawn
Beginning willingly to swallow colour of choices
Fledgelings' flamboyant campaigns display oblivion
Audacious adolescents distribute chafing thoughts
Attach entire esteem to securing peer approval
Frivolous get transfixed in youth's lurid allure
Bustling balloons launch from high vaulting hearts
Adventurers revel in joy during jaunty occasions
Concerned observers avoid havoc's banquet
Money cascades proportionate to patrons' appraise
Circumspect travel with kaleidoscope analysis
Attentively pensive address torrid scheduling
Pallid consideration accompanies shaded misers
Assorted sections bolstered by merciful sharers
Principled accord favoured by fate's ultimation
Aura of agitation promotes copious desires
Hushed heeders find freedom in relinquishing
Dilating ease determines to exit temptation
Plethora of pleasures pledged by reoccurring sunrise
Replenished spirit operates as a doting shepherd
Validates delight in desiphered silence
Supreme reckoning denounces pretentious credentials
Clarity invades tainted captivity's insatiable tirade
Mortal manuscript mirrors sequel's assembling
Premium Member Misfortunes of War and Beyond No More
The price we pay
For these countries of ours
Battlefield loss
Coffined towers
Daughters and sons
Gunned down
Patriotic souls
Perish, under Nature's sun
Terrorist war, i cant understand
To fight each other, my thoughts bland
Muslim, Sunni or Shiite Bro's
Severe grudge, Suicide blows
No faith, can comprehend
The sender of this degenerate send
Martyr's picked, soon forgotten
As the world denounces, faiths so rotten
West Bank, Basra, Baghdad too
Exhibits in this modern Zoo
Kill your neighbour, slay a friend
On the news, images send
Close to home these cowards strike
Maim and kill, their consience wiped
Off to where they are supposed to go
Forever land, where nothing flows
If faith exists on this magic land
Would what you see, be in its plan
To do what we do, and think it's best
All faiths would be, under arrest
If we are all under the one
So many wrongs have humans brung
For this Highlander to understand
Who is indeed, in charge of this land
Before you answer, please observe
To actually who, do humans serve
So many idols, are they human made
Whose do we walk, on earths esplanade
The answer is there for all to know
Open minds, allow the flow
It may not be, what you think it's been
It may be around you, everyday seen
Nature, nature in your might
Observe this planet, in your sight
Render wrongs, display whats true
Remind your tribes, what they should do
Way back then, explosion new
The cycle of me and you
If we don't understand what we are here for
Fate
'Tis fate that seals
the rent of wan,
no ocean floor,
no there be gone!
No thought of ill,
or likewise yawn
my energies
are therepon!
While fate denounces
I take song
no mere encumbrance
to belong ~
To life ~ my meaning
risks hopes strong
remembrance of my God could wrong,
I right the venture ~ faith's among!
The cause, not censure
fear the prong
of misconception ~ ailings long
must change exception, strict ~ upon!
'Tis fear that wrestles to succomb
the inward spirit . . .  under man's thumb!
Disgruntled Grunt
He comes to work in no such haste,
And wishes he’s some other place;
“Oh, I believe, ” he always say,
“I’m overworked and underpaid! ”
Yet for every day that Heaven made,
Still he shows up just the same.
After all, he needs the pay;
The wife must eat, anyway.
Much full of regret and reproach,
He criticizes even the mote
Of white dust on his worktable;
He denounces his superior,
And condemns the mistake-prone idiot
At the next table; he cannot
Wait for the hour’s hand to strike five,
To conjure a new-fangled lie
—For when his wife asks, “Where you been? ”—
And end the day with bitter beer.
Premium Member Forgive Me
For my disobedience that displeases Your heart…
…I apologize; as well as for my stubbornness of arrogance-dart
Showing my defiance against Your plans, always right from the start…
Lord, forgive me of my sins; from Your design I did depart.
For my disloyalty that dishonors Your name…
…I apologize; along my compromise with worldly vanity-game
Manifesting my lack of faith in Your might’s flame…
Lord, forgive me of my iniquities; I tainted Your holy fame.
For my dishonesty that denounces Your ministry-goal…
…I apologize; confessing my hypocrisy in my steward-role
Revealing my shallow commitment against devotion pole…
Lord, forgive me of my transgressions; cleanse and purge my soul.
For my discontentment that diminishes Your work’s cost…
…I apologize, admitting my ingratitude toward Your blessings’ post
Expressing my greed and selfishness as one who’s spiritually lost…
Lord, forgive me of my guilt; You deserve my praise-worship’s utmost.
The Many Faces of You
Your eyes maybe small and deep set
But so piercing are their look
They maybe dark as the deep sea
But their shine and sincerity are my hook.
Your face is open like the sky
On which a canvas has been animated
It denounces a soul so alive
A mind so wide, a spirit so liberated.
Your look opens up a view
Of a will connected to the divine
Strong, unwavering around the truth
Beheld by a heart warm like the sunshine.
The lines around your face
Denote a life devoted to all
Sometimes rising in humorous waves
Either in amazement or having a ball.
Other times so very serious
with deep concerns, suffering
with those whose suffer, furious
At the evil forces that today cause such enmity.
Your face is like the book of life
A tapestry of many colors
That shows me what heaven is like
A portrait imprinted on my mind forever.
Moral Contusions
rare moments of emotional exploration
indefinable spaces between the words in a conversation
warm with feelings found in romance or those realms & aspects of
physical love,
but owing up to neither,
just pleasures within a context of pleasure
brought to the hilt
for the sake of the hilt &
all fetishes deemed glorious
all secret wants & needs specific to each human being
frolic in each weird little world
until they bump into another who shares the same &
in that collision,
the explosion stands for itself,
but these precious, unique events
find themselves pummeled with moral contusions,
times when a third party denounces the thrills of
two individuals
who between themselves have done nothing to harm anyone
who want to bring no attention
(unless exhibition is your spice of the day)
to the ways in which they get off &
instrinsically,
the ways that they have been brought together---
to say it’s a shame would be to largely understate the problem,
for in this day & age
some still think that their self-righteous nature
allows them to condemn the lifestyles of others
because they might not be of their own specific
fancy.
