Best Deafening Poems
Living in a realm where
the air seems to
be still as stone,
invisible, like a
ghost of a rose,
translucent and frozen in
time of ruthless seconds.
My heart still
keeps pacing to
hear the flickering
rays of your voice,
flatlined and hushed
beyond reach,
whilst I’m here
searching for
serenity through
sanguine serenades,
woven meticulously
to my soul,
in unwavering waves from
thousand seas away.
What can I do to make you
love me like I love you,
must I steal the stars
from its rightful skies,
just so that I can
please your eyes?
Or should I hide behind these
rhymeless phrases,
where veiled vowels
and nonchalant nouns
within poetic punctuations
pierce through
this bleeding quill?
Would it seem like these
tunes have been tortured
together to descend and
tangle with tainted thorns?
Tormented traps tied
from an invincible inferno.
But aren’t we breathing
within binary
codes constantly?
surfing through the
zigzags of repetitive
numbers and
acrobatic alphabets,
vaporized amongst
empty spaces where
the universe unfolds
parallel paradigms.
Losing human connection
in the deafening silence,
while channelled tunnels
carry wires through
unassigned boards,
falling on our
intellectual swords,
fingers tap against
the cold keys,
unable to feel the
warmth behind words-
misunderstood and
misinterpreted as
mountains eclipse the sun.
So let me grieve over
the unsung sonnets;
maybe one-day I’ll meet my moon
in a sphere of immutable melodies—
forever calming these chaotic calligraphies.
Like Harry Potter, the sorting hat (my mom)
has placed me in a bloody, crimson colored school.
It’s disorienting, as I go about, the logos are wack.
Poor little rich girl
no beachside lovers
this interminable, scorching summer.
I’m swept up by scholastic spirit.
Can you hear it? Cause it’s deafening me,
on this cool, dry, Boston orientation day.
As we finished our morning 8k jog,
the sunrise blossomed, painting hot lava clouds
with hues of yellow, orange and pink.
We’re traipsing unfamiliar paths,
It’s not what we’re used to, the roads are uneven
and the architecture’s all boxy and wrong.

True power and control
possessed by the strident

"I have a dream
that one day this nation will rise up,
live out the true meaning of its creed:
"We hold these truths to be self-evident,
that all men are created equal."

Silence is Deafening
Around us everyday,
Are the sounds that are made.
Through all the noises that can I hear,
My mind races all alone I fear.
Dreaming of a time that I could listen,
To share with someone that I've been missing.
How can I be, so alone in this crowd,
Sounds of laughter and conversation so loud.
Oblivious to it all my soul is so alone,
This tortures me and I want to say so long.
I live with so many sounds to hear,
But my heart won't let me bring anyone near.
A tender voice I struggle to be,
To find someone to take this silence from me.
How can one person be so full of loneliness,
In this world that so many can find sweet bliss.
Is it in me or is it in my mind,
The answer to my question, I must find.
All the chatter of things surround me everyday,
But inside the silence is driving me away.
I am blinded by my dreams,
the reason is my shy thoughts it seems.
It's not the people who is to blame,
But my mind that makes me feel this shame.
I must open my heart and show them kindness,
This could make me happy and releave my blindness.
It's not anger or depression that makes me whole,
but the friends we make and the truths we told.
Give them something to make them smile,
This will make the silence go away for awhile.
Give to those what you expect to be,
And friends will be there when you're in need.
By request this is something I threw together awhile back on a napkin. It was front and back too :D Thank you for your responses and support, It allows me strength to continue writing my snippets for you.
EVERY DAY I CRY
EVERY NIGHT I PRAY
FOR THE STRENGTH I NEED
TO SURVIVE ANOTHER DAY
MY DREAMS ARE HAUNTED
BY MY MEMORIES OF YOU
EVEN IF I COULD
THESE MEMORIES I'D NEVER UNDO
IN MY DREAMS
I BEG AND I PLEAD
LEFT THERE CRIPPLED
DOWN ON MY KNEES
WITH A VACANT EXPRESSION
IN MY EYES YOU STARE
INTO MY SOUL
MY NOW ABYSS FULL OF DISPAIR
I'VE WONDERED AND SEARCHED AND
PONDERED THE REASONS
CONFIDED IN STRANGERS
EVEN FOUND RELIGION WHILE FACING MY DEMONS
I'VE RESORTED TO INSOMNIA
DAY AFTER DAY FEELING NUMB
TO THE POWER OF MY ADDICTION
I WILLINGLY SUCCUMB
JUST TO HEAR YOU SAY YOU LOVE ME
I'D ENDURE TORTURE AND PAIN
FOR THE RUSH OF FEELING YOUR EMBRACE
IS LIKE HEROIN IN MY VEINS
THAT'S ALL I CRAVE
THOSE SWEET WORDS LAID UPON MY EARS
BUT YOUR DEFEANENING SILENCE
BRINGS ME TO TEARS
LIKE SILENT THUNDER
RIPPING ME APART
WITH YOUR UNSPOKEN WORDS
YOU'VE SHATTERED MY HEART
The thoughts she have
The things she does
Don’t always concur
There are times
When all she wants
Is to be held by you
Feel the comfort of your love
But all she gets is your silence
Like a repetitive drum beat
Deafening
Pushing her away
Confusing and hurtful
When your words dried up
What does it mean?
What should she do?
Move on or cling to a past
That held so much promise
Until that day
Your words got replaced
By a deafening silence

deafening to us
like a tsunami rising
cleaving souls, Silence
There is an explosion in all of us, we try to keep hidden away
But when we decide to get even, everybody must pay
There are so many things wrong people tend to ignore
The people in and out of our lives, the screaming next door
The ones we pass by on the street
One of them becomes a victim, than on a gurney covered with a sheet
Another shot fired, it becomes acceptable violence
What becomes un easing is the deafening silence
Some people hunt for a living, others for the thrill
Humans being the worst animal, thou shall not kill
An old lady conned out of her pension
A nobody takes hostages to draw some attention
Kids bring guns to school to settle scores
Now we have metal detectors at the doors
Is there really such a thing as a safe environment
Don't be fooled by the deafening silence
I remember when Bicycles, Hotwheels and for the girls Barbies were the
greatest thing
Now it is all about the latest cell and the bling bling
Rap Artists, Rock Stars and movie Moguls are what influence the youth of today
It seems there is always a dragon for mom or dad to slay
Kids go wild without our guidance
The answer is not the deafening silence
It's here,it's everywhere
Fogging up the place
Crowding up my space
Echoing in my mind
lengthening the time
What's here,nothing only
#So lonely
The silence of an empty house
Once I craved the silence
Seeking peace and quiet
Now the silence is deafening
Each day without my spouse
I go room to room
Seeking, hoping, left with despair
The silence echoing in my ears
The noise more than I can bear
If only I could hear the whisper in my ear
I love you
It is you I adore
Then I would whisper back
I love you more
The silence of an empty house
Is deafening to my ears
Yet I can hear my heart breaking
And the drop of every tear
Goodbye My Love
Three days late,
and a dollar of truth short
No condemnation of neo-Nazi hate,
no negative KKK report
Only tweet silence was heard ...
didn’t hear a peep, not one word
Domestic terrorists
were Tiki torching a church
late that night
Shouting ethnic and racial slurs
Aryan imperialists,
proud patrons of John Birch
causing heavy fright
They weren’t rebuffed by any tweet words
The Trump was silent ...
didn’t hear a toot, not one sound was heard
Two days late,
and a couple silver dollars of truth shy
No reproof of white supremacy hate,
everyone’s speculating as to the reason why
Only tweet silence was heard ...
didn’t hear a peep, not one word
Marching through Charlottesville town,
chanting crude, bigoted Nazi slogans
Wearing the “Blood and Soil” hate song crown,
brawling like drunken ancient Romans
Innocent blood got spilled on the ground,
yet my ears heard no shrill tweet sound
Still no angry replies were ever given voice;
the sound of silence was deafening,
waves of nothingness heard crashing
Not blowing the trump was the wrong choice
Hate had it’s way unabated,
violence was randomly meted
But there were no words heard
castigating any of that despicable hate
Only the sound of silence chirped late,
where flew the little tweety bird?
deafening silence
your voice has gone quiet…
it keeps me awake
Besides a cry and a deafening roar;
Comes over a swelling vibration that opens a veil of unseen nature that lies dormant at a threshold of long ago.
Face of mortal man that dares steps on the tail of the back belonging to a strength that can be forgotten as unawares seemingly find a heart stolen of another kind.
The children cry in the night
And all the world is sleeping,
And the gangs are fighting
Over turf that does not belong to them---
That's when the silence is heard.
When a leader splits the country in half,
And violence and blood hit the streets
And there's no clear path of freedom---
That's when the silence is heard.
When freedom is like a punchline,
And you're on the street
But it's questioned at anytime
Where you'll live or die,
Because that's when the silence is deafening.
Silence is heard when a gun goes off
Another life down in a sea of blood
Just another life was taken from the hood,
Where you'll live or die
And you hear the silence is heard.
The silence of death is heard loud
The panic of lives heard,
And the lurking of those sworn to kill proudly
That's when the silence is still heard.
When we stop the violence in our streets
When we stop killing one another
Taken the lives of our sisters and brothers,
When leaders wake up from their sleep
When justice takes off her blindfold
And see the injustice in front of them.
When the flooding of blood stops,
When children can play once more,
When the elderly get their respect and honor
When soldiers study war no more
And that's when the silence can be heard
But when?
