The Silence of An Empty House
The silence of an empty house
Once I craved the silence
Seeking peace and quiet
Now the silence is deafening
Each day without my spouse
I go room to room
Seeking, hoping, left with despair
The silence echoing in my ears
The noise more than I can bear
If only I could hear the whisper in my ear
I love you
It is you I adore
Then I would whisper back
I love you more
The silence of an empty house
Is deafening to my ears
Yet I can hear my heart breaking
And the drop of every tear
Goodbye My Love
