Best Dark Love Poems
My love
we celebrate your birth
on this night of Sanhaim
when the worlds are whisper-thin
and your magic sings its sweetest song.
Your love draws stars from the sky
lures spirits from the tombs
snow falls from the summer sky
a love so sacred and magical.
Let us meet
surrounded by forest
as the wind
whispers its secret to the trees
we seek the sacred creek
leading to the river that caresses the earth
where flowers rise in rapture to the sun.
This day I am yours
you are mine
we are inseparable in death
by any power or pain
for it is such true love
no death awaits us.
Come with me my love
come back to the one
feel my spirit and take flight
let us see all of creation
let us seek favor from the divine.
God and goddess we shall become
gods of true and powerful devotion
let us be graced
by the moon goddess
by the dragon of the stars
allowing us to burn hot with passion.
Let us draw from the power of the earth
alive and solid
beneath our feet
fertile valley of existence
all our wants and needs
will be satisfied.
Embrace this love
blessed be
your feet
your knees
your womb
your breasts
your lips
blessed be your soul.
My sweet love scented by jasmine
I seek you on the silver slant of moonlight
beautiful moon goddess
your magic is all enthralling
I succumb to your witches cry
I come to your lair softly lit
your Wiccan pattern on the floor to guide me
save me from the river of flames
with the manifestation of your desires
for in you my lover
I am charmed...
Dream of love
All the colors
Absence of color
Black and white
Their beauty is absolute
Perfect harmony
What would the stars do
If the nights were not black
Streetlights would be lacking
Diamonds and fireflies
Need the black
A funeral passes by
Black cars and black hearses
Draped in fading flowers
The color of death
I think in black
Death should be
The color of sunset
My lover is black
She says
True love is or it ain't
Thin love is no love at all
To love and be loved
Is everything
It makes your soul
Climb out from its hiding place
Black is not sad
Bright colors depress me
They are empty
Black is poetic
It's how I imagine
The poet
Dressed in black...
Let's play pretend
Pretend you are the hero and I am the damsel in depression
You sold me a magic future you'd crafted out of fool's gold
And I fell into the shimmer
A siren song in rough seas and
I sang merrily we fall
What adventure novels did I neglect
While chasing a happily ever after lie
Though you were a tragedy in your own right
You were a rum drunk pirate
On a pain soaked ship
And I haven't the heart to call you a villan
I should have known
when you said you didn't read much
That you'd be the chapter I wish I could tear out
page by page
And burn like witchcraft
Turn your memory to smoke and ash
The boy who would not grow up
And the girl who could not make him
I forced you to see your reflection though
Not in a rippled tide pool
But exactly as it was
And you could not hide from yourself then
Let's pretend I'm the fairy godmother
and I'll grant you this one year to the midnight
Tell me
Did you think I'd ever find the courage to leave?
Let's pretend
You never said the things you did
And I never cried behind a steering wheel
Trapped screaming prayers to St. Anthony
To find the me I lost chasing you
Let's pretend
I didn't instead find silver spoons in snowboard boots
Or empty liquor bottles in full laundry baskets
Or the patience before I lost it and transformed as though by dark magic into someone spiteful
Let's pretend
I never wanted to make you hurt
The way you made me hurt
And let's pretend I never tried.
Let's pretend
That water is not vodka
And that I am not as stupid as you made me feel
Let's pretend
Like the time you shoved me into the wall was the only time you were a rough sea to me and it was only because you were weather worn
Let's pretend
I was in love with you
and not the role you wrote for yourself before I found out your true character
Let's pretend
We aren't as complicated as we are
And in my story you can be a sick evil pirate
And in your story I can be a vile gypsy witch
And in our story we are just sad, frustrated kids,
In a dark love,
In over our heads,
No breadcrumbs to lead us out,
In a Grimm fairytale
Made for morals
Not happily ever after

Equilibrium
Sometimes . . . when dark clouds fill the skies,
the world seems out of balance and cries.
But then . . . as two hearts touch in the darkness,
suddenly . . . the equilibrium of life is restored,
clouds disappear, and the sun begins to shine once more.

In the silver glow of moonlight you are all I want to see,
You are every dark red rosebud, every line of poetry.
When we met, that summer evening, time was halted for a while
And I kissed the stars above us who had given me your smile.
You wore earrings full of starlight and a dress of woven night,
Like a goddess from Olympus you pushed all else from my sight.
There were wisps of silver cloudlets filling spaces in the sky,
In the breeze between the treetops was the sound of nature's sigh;
For she knew she had been bested and the crown was yours to wear,
You were beauty made as woman, there was gold dust in your hair.
In the silver glow of moonlight you are all I want to see,
You are every dark red rosebud, every line of poetry.
Every moment that I've known you I have known that love can grow
And in every word I've written I have put that love on show.
I can taste your tender kisses when you whisper me my name,
If I float across the heavens I will know you are to blame.
When you kissed and called me lover, when you gave me all the world,
I was suddenly immortal and my colours were unfurled.
We can dance until forever under skies of midnight blue
And all I will be thinking is it's me that's here with you.
In the silver glow of moonlight you are all I want to see,
You are every dark red rosebud, every line of poetry.
Our love will never die so abandon your soul,
We are on the threshold of unspoken sweetness;
So time to end this facade- my heart you have stole,
Bodies entangle and I am full of weakness.
We are on the threshold of unspoken sweetness,
Oh, we have only one life, let us not waste it;
Bodies entangle and I am full of weakness,
My love for you darling will never, ever quit.
Oh, we have only one life, let us not waste it,
I am obsessed with this sweet fate- I succumb;
My love for you darling will never, ever quit,
Although bittersweet without you I would be numb.
I am obsessed with this sweet fate- I succumb,
This dark love is frightening and unnatural;
Although bittersweet without you I would be numb,
Oh, love this deep, this intense is not rational.
This dark love is frightening and unnatural,
So time of end this facade- my heart you have stole;
Oh, love this deep, this intense is not rational,
Our love will never die so abandon your soul.

Point of No Return
Third Place
His dark brown eyes.
His dark brown hair.
All of the cute thinks about him,
That cause me to stare.
He's so lost.
Fallen off track.
There's so many choices he's made,
That he can't take back.
Like a complicated puzzle,
With a missing piece.
I can't stand standing in the sidelines,
Watchind his faith decrease.
He's beautifully broken,
Lovely at the torn seams.
When he gifts me with a smile,
It's like sunshine gleams.
His laughter, his voice.
His warmth, his touch.
He's never enough,
Yet he's way too much.
Delicate and fragile.
Unstabley bound.
Constantly searching for the answers,
That are no where to be found.
I'd try to save him,
Try to save him from himself.
But i'd only be,
Only be hurting myself.
Because a broken heart,
Is like a broken mirror.
And when you try to pick up the pieces,
You'll only see clearer.
That you'll only be left to bleed.
Cuts all covering your hands.
Because he was too broken,
Too broken to understand.
Why you loved him,
Loved him for everything he was,
And everything he wasn't.
Although you think he is worth something,
Nothing will change him from thinking that he doesn't.
Yearn for him, want,
But that's all you'll ever be able to do.
He's beautifully broken,
And if he doesn't love himself,
Then he can't possibly love you.
Are we sacred souls
who shed our flimsy flesh
like slimy serpents
shed their skin?
Be observant,
but show no chagrin,
for in learning life’s lessons
we lessen our scars in the next.
It’s the game master’s pretext,
yet a disaster for those
who guard their granite heart
as if, by giving love away,
they might have less.
Perhaps it is best,
to toss love about in tenfold,
for souls only glimmer,
when they reflect light.
But it is dark inside now.
So…alas …
Goodnight.
Twisting and tangling,
in this lovers web
clawing and crying to be-- set free
the bait was placed in front of you,
I watched you fall in, so easily
Shadows cascading
around the October Moon,
a predator with its prey
in the seduction of this web,
watching you wiggle to get away
I curl and tie you up even more,
- under these shimmering stars above
close your eyes and I'll have my way,
in this tight web of love
Under the silhouette of,
the October Moon
a predator with its prey,
such a succulent sight -
turning, colliding and sighing with you
as I have my way,
under the October Moon tonight

The Magic of the Moon and its Magnetic glow
With love I look at you
And see your eyes transform
To gaze into depths
Which carry a secret storm
A ring as dark as night
Around a golden sky
With speckles of dark stars
That bring my lips a sigh
They hold the world's wonders
A box of sins and hurt
A glimmer of light
That glows just like hope
With love you look at me
And I see into your eyes
Your soul bare and naked
From me you do not hide
Their gentle with a sadness
They shine as you laugh
They hold both parts equal
Experience of life and death
You stay hidden to the world
But you open up to me
And in your eyes my Darling
I see everything there is to see
With soft lashes they appear
Angelic in their own way
I watch as they close
And your anger drifts away
Unclothed I see your soul
In the doorway of your eyes
I could stare into them forever
Lost without a sense of time
I travel in time twenty-five years
And see my lover in the passenger seat
Shifting currents gliding us toward
The tangled fates that we must meet
So many reasons why to go
But I can't see beyond these walls of stone
The oceans between us only grow
And who we are truly can't be known
You hold out a tattered glove
And remember the coming winter chill
I scratch out your name on the wall
And meekly accept my morning pill
I will send you a thought like a butterfly
That at least we're both still alive
You will chase it away with a whispering hand
The very moment it does arrive

For "Rock 'n Roll Rhyme Fest" poetry contest
A memory
is a fragment of one's heart
playing a tune from the inner harp
giving off a spring-fever sensation
to remember that through
the darkest storms
love is by your side
Something lurks in the dark
He's somewhere behind me,
and I have his heart,
but is this where he suppose to be?
The love flows around
his hands caress my skin
I truly want him
until the very end.
Darkness surrounds forever,
and even when we together,
Truth be told that I could never
be somthing valuable to him.
We have dark hearts,
we have dark souls,
our love stands together,
while we kiss forever.
If your breathing - better learn to hold your breath,
the waters deep and we're going for a swim,
the deep dark cold, it always creeps on back in,
to watch me, to smother me, why does it love me,
its love is suffocating, doesnt it see its a death trap,
the cave is dark and shallow and ready to fall in,
the deep dark cold, ready to trap me in its depth,
If your breathing - better learn to hold your breath
If it enters me, and you cut me, stab me in the heart,
ill bleed black, and my blood will just pour out,
the oceans deep, and we're going for a swim,
the world cant see that we're going in,
if your breathing baby - better learn to hold your breath...
"You will have bad times but I will always wake you up to the good times that you weren't paying attention to" ~~Robin Williams~~
When all seems lost, and he is in his darkest hour,
I am his power.
When pain takes over his demented twisted mind,
I am the love he will find.
When he feels alone and confusion drapes a morbid veil,
I am his caregiver that will pave a healing trail.
When sadness torments him beyond belief,
I am his relief.
When dementia strikes its ugly blows,
I am his rock, the one that never goes.
When voices fill his mind with terror,
I am his clarity his sanity bearer.
When his wounded soul cant take any more,
I am the one that can help his peace to restore.
That's all that I am, I am his wife,
I will be with him for the rest of his life.
