My Two German Beaux,On a TVCooking Show
Oh, how I love sauerbraten
and that divine apple strudel!
But it was even better to see
Guy Fieri with my two old German
Chicago beaux on his TV show!
Why, I nearly lost my noodle!
There they were,still very comely,
on the cooking channel.
Making a great German dinner
Why,I almost knocked my German
beer stein off the mantle!
I was thinking back to times in
Chicago of soccer games and
festive Deutsch holidays!
When we danced like their was
no tomorrow.
Who ever dreamed time would
pass so fast!
I felt like Alice in Wonderland
peering through a magical,
looking glass.
When I was young, never once
believing time would pass!

Dedicated to Peter A, in Chicago,
who was the inspiration for this
work! Danke, my friend.
God, I have a prayer for you today.
It’s just from me, but please hear what I have to say.
Millions are being abandoned, starved and soon alone, where some in Ukraine are still free to roam.
Children are becoming hungry, helpless and alone.
Give them bravery, messengers of God,
imaginary staffs and protective rods.
(Psalm 23)
Our leader’s horrible disdain has caused many to join The Hopeless Train.
Beg your angels to collect their pain.
Smalls tears are turning into puddles of fears.
Guardian angels, Ukraine needs protection, guidance and love,
hope, reassurance and your spiritual hugs,
from all your celestial beings above.
To my Deedoosh and my Babusys hold each other tight.
Hnhely, we pray for you today and tonight.
To Germany, Danke
Great Britain, Much obliged
Sweden, Tack
France, Merci
New York City, Thank you
And The United Kingdom.... our freedom.
Keep Ukraine’s enemies away.
From those on TV and those who are evil, far away.
President Zelensky my hope for you,
End the war for Ukrainian’s families,
Stand strong,
believe the world will right this wrong.
"Keep rising, keep moving, your silence is the loudest response"
Help Ukrainians to be brave in the face of fear.
People are trying to support you far and near.
Unite us together
and please now forever.
God, you listened to my prayer today, thank you for hearing what I had to say.
Bus 333
Thank you bus 333
For being there for me all day long,
You wake even before cock crows
And set yourself out all for my sake;
Your storage you fill to the beam,
Your powerhouse you fire to warm,
You sweep the aisle and mop the deck
You polish the seats and empty the bins,
Your fire extinguishers are all in place;
How much you care for me !
Danke, danke, danke.
6.10 is the meeting time,
Under the shed I see your light
Piercing the thick wintery cloud,
Your rollers daring the whitish heaps,
Your long antennas twisting left and right,
Unceaselessly wiping the chill ice ,
Who could have loved me more ?
Danke dir, mein lieber Bus.
No, you will not bypass me,
You will not even hurry me up,
But carefully you will lift me up,
Give me all necssary attention;
Your guten Morgen delights me,
It brightens me and gives me joy;
And when I finally settle down,
In my direction you will zoom
Watching front,watching back;
And when our do becomes done,
Deligently you will park and wait,
Auf Wiedersehen,auf Wiedersehen ;
What a great love is this ?
Lieber Bus 333,ich liebe dich,
Lieber Bus 333,ich danke dir.

Untimed
Untamed
In the face of a thousand horsepower
Up rises the man of the hour
His passion peaked
His focus tweaked
Raw
Pure
He spins and loops
Whirlpools each lap
Egos over rev
An enchanted V-twelve
The archangel
Fallen to enthral
Thrusts his sword through my wall poster
In a chariot mounted a motor
The Red Baron
Supercharged to slay the dragon
A German craftsman
Piloting the air bending chicane
Driven around his own soundtrack
Blazing the chequered flag
Atop the podium
A mesmerised coliseum
A roar like an earthquake
A Danke!
A gold medallion to his bullion
Akin to Hamilton
A well formulated campaign
In a splash of champagne
A force of nature in his prime
Inspired in me
A shockwave like a tsunami
You beat the clock Schumi
Whether you are in Osaka or Tokyo,
the right thing to say is “arrigato”.
If you ever get stuck in Moscow,
“spassiba” will help you out somehow.
When you are in Mumbai or Hyderabad,
you can always say “dhanyavaad”
In Turkey along the Eurasian rim,
getting by is easy with “teshekkur ederim”
In Bonn or Berlin, in order to gain,
you can always do it with “danke schoen”.
If you are in Paris or Montreal,
just saying “merci” is saying it all.
When you are in Madrid or Caracas,
gratefulness is expressed as “muchas gracias”
If you are in either North or South Korea,
you can make friends by saying “komapsumnida”.
If you have a rather steep climb in Brazil,
“obrigado” will get you over the hill.
Wherever you go in the world today,
just remember that “thank you” is the thing to say.
I want to say thank you
In some of the languages of the world
To all the soup members
For you have helped my heart to twirl
You've add bits of humor, rhythm, and definitely some rhyme
From writings on many topics when you have the time
Thank you (English)
Muchas gracias (Spanish)
Danke schoon (German) Suppose to have two dots on top of the schoon but I don't
know how to do that
Merci beaucoup (French)
Arigato gozaimasu (Japanese)
Grazie (Italian)
Topadh leibh (Scottish Gaelic)
Toda raba (Hebrew)
Mamnoon (Farsi (Persian))
Spasibo (Russian)
Liels paldies (Latvian)
Efharisto poli (Greek)
Toa chie or Xie Xie (Chinese)
Shukran gazilan (Arabic)
Obrigado (Portugese)

Forty Christians from Southcourt Baptists,
Skiers,good,novice & the inactive;
On the flight from London-Heathrow,
Trusting Italy was full of snow.
Huddled in a coach past Trento,
Disembark in MSV's mountain shadow;
Crammed & cushed into th cable car,
Just in time for sckolade in the the bar.
Up early to claim skis & boots,
Dressed in salapettes & chic ski suits;
Wait in line for the revolving chairlift,
At the top, jumping off pretty swift.
Down & up the beginners' slope,
In a whiteout,with a prayer& hope;
Pasta for lunch,again & again,
But good to miss out of the English rain.
Learning the knack of forling fondue,
Joining the folk-dance,without a clue;
Saying danke to Karl the owner,
Back on the bus to airport,Verona.

THANK YOU LORD
For Your love and Your tender care;
When I need You, You’re always there
Helping me as I walk life’s road,
Showing me the way, lest I stray, so I say, “Thank You, Lord.”
For Your word that showed me my need,
For the ones who would preach and plead,
For the day You took all my sin
And gave me Your peace, full release, so I say, “Thank You, Lord.”
For the blood that You shed for me
On the cross there at Calvary,
For the day You rose from the grave
And the power You give as I live, so I say, “Thank You, Lord.”
For this land where I’m free to pray
And to praise You this special way,
For the hope that some day I’ll go
To Your home on high, ne’er to die, so I say, “Thank You, Lord.”
When I stand there on heaven’s shore
Free from sin there forever more,
I will look in Your loving eyes
And say it again, this refrain, “Thank You, Lord. Thank You, Lord.”
These words written to “Danke Schoen.”

Designed the steel bra Vielen danke

With what he can't grope
So he slapped a tariff on Tonka!

It was a land of foreign thought
And I was the denizen drifter
In uniform that hid my ignorance
and poverty
In an OD Green costume that was
Barely me
Rarely me on weekends
One who could pass for a different class
Of vagabond wandering across
the borders alone
So far from home
That I was thoughtless
And homeless
Eager to be accepted even if it was as
Young and clueless
If not mysterious in my ways
The heady days of youth
Learning truth in a different language
Beginning with three words
Danke Bitte, Und Mehr,
Which opened the door for
Life-changing opportunities
Danke, Bitte, Mehr
Seemed to be the key that
Could open a locked door
Or
A locked heart
For a young man willing to
Accept the path into
Migrants quarters
On the distant borders of
An expatriate's temporary bivouac
Finally
Leaving was leaving a home again
Wondering if I would ever belong again
In my native land
with my adopted tongue
Thick with memories that would
Follow me forever to my grave
