Right This Wrong

God, I have a prayer for you today.
It’s just from me, but please hear what I have to say.

Millions are being abandoned, starved and soon alone, where some in Ukraine are still free to roam.
Children are becoming hungry, helpless and alone.

Give them bravery, messengers of God,
imaginary staffs and protective rods.
(Psalm 23)

Our leader’s horrible disdain has caused many to join The Hopeless Train.
Beg your angels to collect their pain.

Smalls tears are turning into puddles of fears.

Guardian angels, Ukraine needs protection, guidance and love,
hope, reassurance and your spiritual hugs,
from all your celestial beings above.

To my Deedoosh and my Babusys hold each other tight.
Hnhely, we pray for you today and tonight.

To Germany, Danke
Great Britain, Much obliged
Sweden, Tack
France, Merci
New York City, Thank you
And The United Kingdom.... our freedom.

Keep Ukraine’s enemies away.
From those on TV and those who are evil, far away.

President Zelensky my hope for you,

End the war for Ukrainian’s families,
Stand strong,
believe the world will right this wrong.

"Keep rising, keep moving, your silence is the loudest response"

Help Ukrainians to be brave in the face of fear.
People are trying to support you far and near.

Unite us together
and please now forever.

God, you listened to my prayer today, thank you for hearing what I had to say.

Cheers to you, dear Marikate. I agree 100% with you. I can't believe how many people stand with that Moran in charge. A great message ...Lord, hear our prayers.

Thank you so much for your praise and I have a better word than "Moran" as I'm sure u do too. I forget to respond to some of the old poems I've written, I'm sorry. Thank you for your comment, it is appreciated Charles.

I really hope Zelinsky does the right thing and ends this senseless war. It has gone on way too long. You have great empathy for those suffering from it.

Thank you for saying I have great empathy for those who are suffering. So many thousands do. It is a horrible nightmare. If there is one thing left, it is always HOPE.

The emotional depth in your words rings home. It's such a helpless feeling watching what's going on...

I agree Selma. Maybe for the citizens of Ukraine something will hopefully change somewhat. The protests going on all around the world and thousands making monetary donations. I pray for impeachment.

If you stand up to a bully they back down, that's what the west should have done from day one, Putin should answer for his war crimes. The world has become a very dangerous place, can't believe Trump is cosying up to that evil man. Tom

I agree. That horrified too when the (president ) I don't use his name, invited Putin to the White House during his last term. Also, the whole world is angry now from the actions of just two men.

I’ll echo Ilene’s words below and like her I’m not religious. There is such emotional depth in your words Marikate. The intensity of your feelings hit home in your beautifully written poem. Cheers - Gary

Thank you for such a kind response. It is hard to believe that the actions of just 3 men have made the world so scared and angry with each other in such a short time.

i'm not at all religious, marikate, but i admire the passion in your poem and i agree with your thoughts about "righting this wrong" 100%. it's such a helpless feeling watching what's going on and knowing that so many people do not feel the way that we do...
