Premium Member She Taught My Heart To Sing

Spring has earned a special place in my heart:
a season so fair,
She dispels despair.
And I anxiously wait for Spring to start;
for craving her touch,
I miss Her so much.
I long for the sensual perfume She'll wear;
a blend of sweet-smelling flowers and fresh air.
She taught my heart to sing.

At this time, Spring is no more than a wish:
no reason to cheer,
She is not yet here.
But She's such a tempting, delicious dish,
I can hardly wait:
and circling the date
on my calendar: I'm counting down the days.
Whiling away the hours in a thousand ways;
She taught my heart to sing.

Winter winds are finally in full flight
as snows melt away;
Spring is sure to stay.
As sunlight stretches Day and shortens Night
ice-free rivers flow,
while Daffodils show.
Nature dabbles the landscape in tints of green:
while the air's invigorating, fresh, and clean,
and tweeting songbirds, add music to the scene.
She taught my heart to sing;
I love that about Spring.

All About Japan

A feather plummets slacks downwards,
a sparrowhawk caught prey soars upwards,

bonsai trees grow its shadow midst sunrise,
cherry blossoms shade a path,
sugis eclipse a shrine,

maguro (tuna) swims the deep ocean,
unagi (eel) curves nearby Mount Fuji,
tako (octopus) struts whilst in motion,
fugu (pufferfish) deadly still, yummy,

pink perianths float
touch air then dabbles a creek
~clear blue spills cherries

Premium Member An Elusive Feeling

A harsh mistress to face each night,
reality dabbles in pain.
And at the very edge of fright,
you enter the Devil's domain.

                 Innocence morphs into a game
in a naive search for a friend.
And you've only yourself to blame
if there's no winner at the end.

                 Fantasies and wishes fool you
into thinking love's on its way.
Yet, you're feeling lonely and blue,
for smiles seldom come into play.

                 Love is an elusive feeling
that's skilled at hiding in plain sight.
And though it oft sets hearts reeling,
it can disappear overnight.

“However authentic the feelings of love, the dalliance was only ever meant to be a beautiful fiction” - Esther Perel.
____________________________________________________________

Dot dabbles during dangerous dalliance
As souls are enticed by seductive affiance.
A narrative about forbidden temptation.
Shine smolders sway—a sensuous sensation.

A cynosure silver shimmer under the moon.
Flickers of fantastical fantasy foster flow foon.
Two spirits intertwined in a pointless game.
They are fettered by—an overwhelming tame

A vortex of enthusiasm is sparked at first sight.
They can't defy the diaphanous magnetic excite.
Akin to how moths are lured to a perilous flame.
Prance frolicking on the cusp of a lethal game.

Dalliance, desire, ecstasy, and temptation.
For flirtation as feuds on frame of foundation.
Consider consequences and clashes with zeal.
And yet—the flames are often fanned by feel

In the gloominess, they sneak a sparkling touch.
Nimble hearts are trapped in a harmful slouch.
Bootlegged, beleaguered blaze both breaths.
As they succumb to love's intoxicating depth.

Demure whispers of wariness swirl in the air.
But elixir zeal evolves with each stolen stare.
They cognize the danger—the risk they convey,
Yet they cannot resist the love they display.

Emollient hearts hid, akin to vines in the night.
Igniting an afire that smolders ever so bright
Their bodies entwined—they pranced in the gloom.
Strayed sprightliness that swaddles to assume

Realizing sequels and the agony they trigger
But they cannot outlast this forbidden rigor.
They breathe on the edge—with hearts ablaze.
In a world where forbidden temptation plays

But time is a lousy tutor—it can't be denied.
And soon their dalliance will no longer hide.
The world will decry their ephemeral affair.
And their felicity will be furtive, beyond repair.

HOURGLASS NEBULA

A masterpiece — the Creator dabbles in time
with windblown hues of crimson bands, narrow
neck like the green eye of a nebula monster.

Painted in amazing red shifts,
scurrying away from the earth,
as the hubble chases it.

The shape of an hourglass
ne’er turned over
except by curious minds.

Little scientists making sense
of the divine,
incomprehensible find.

An alien in outer space, surely
jealous of a lovely form
and ruddy cheeks.

Premium Member The Edge of Fright

A harsh mistress to face each night,
Reality dabbles in pain.
And at the very edge of fright,
Hope borders the Devil's domain.

When you fail love's tests and trials,
Forever follows tomorrow.
And a fake facade of sweet smiles
fails to camouflage such sorrow.

Hope's the opiate of the young,
and yet, it's not easy to sell.
For a devious silver tongue
preaches heaven yet offers hell.

On exhaling your final breath,
life's no longer yours to ponder.
And entering the realm of Death,
your soul will be free to wander.

Satin Pillow Fever

it's kind of funny
how time walks away
i don't feel like
saying grace today
everything hurts
much more then they say
tuesdays no longer
remember your smile
scars are the souvenirs
of the loneliest child
the memory itself
writes you away

i don't wanna be here anymore
my hearts felt the dust
no i don't wanna be here anymore
sail on sooth sayer, sail

it's like sometimes you can't win
but then again i feel like
i could never really fail
through the mirror
i image an image pale
restricted for commerce
like a prostitute
trying to make the proper sell
here we are behold unearthed
true to the soul,
spirit, body and mind
it's kind of crazy
how you can capture more momentum
starting up from the bottom
being beaten and coming up
from the land down under
may the perpetrators be kissed briefly
slaughtered later
love letters from a bastard
to kind of a raped mother
grab the extinction cord
i already duck taped the other
the youngest of nine children
last man standing
out in the wonderland withering
see the ocean set apart from the sea
relax the your head darling
and come hither

i don't wanna be here anymore
my hearts felt the dust
no i don't wanna be here anymore
sail on sooth sayer, sail

she said
i don't understand
your goodbye
questions,
all these questions
why, why, oh why
I told her i said,
every thing's rhetorical
despite you and I

stars burn
in the sleepless sky
as the candles dim
and night falls alive
between you and I
and it shines so bright
that i can't see a thing
but sometimes
i see it all

i've been used
to losing touch
but i'm kind of wish
too far gone
a shooting star
one miracle away
from being
exactly who you are
the rain dabbles
in the face of the sun
and sometimes life
is all heat and no fun

but sometimes
you have to say goodbye
to where you're coming from
and kindly walk away
to a better day

and just like that
she went into the dark
she sang out,
i got seizures to spark
and true life
it's some kind of bizarre
she put the needle in her arm
and sang out
never mind who you are
never mind who your are
I don't give a Fck who you are

Premium Member Pastel Shades

As Japanese cherry blossoms bloom pink,
Spring dabbles in assorted pastel shades.
When April rains offer the soil a drink,
water trickles as it flows and cascades.

Spring dabbles in assorted pastel shades,
purple crocus, and yellow daffodils.
Water trickles as it flows and cascades,
and green grass colors the valleys and hills.

Purple crocus and yellow daffodils,
pushing through the soil, summoned by the sun.
And green grass colors the valleys and hills,
for Winter lies defeated; Spring has won.

Pushing through the soil, summoned by the sun,
wildflower blooms carpet the forest floor.
For Winter lies defeated; Spring has won,
and Nature rearranges the decor.

Wildflower blooms carpet the forest floor
when April rains offer the soil a drink.
And Nature rearranges the decor
as Japanese cherry blossoms bloom pink.

The Eternals Wake

Afterlifer's believes consciousness dabbles, effecting furtherance,
gainsayers, henceforth, interjects jocularity,
knowledgeable limits mortality nonbeing ... obliviates predominating, quasistationary,
relinquishes significance tasked ultrafamiliar,
vaticinators wanderings xenial,
yearning zen.

Premium Member Dilly-Dally Dabbling

He dabbles in this, dips his toes in that
Dithering with daubs, splattering dollops and spatters
Dilly-dallying, loitering lazily lackadaisical
Unable or unwilling to commit.
Half-hearted efforts lie half-baked, unfinished
Laying listless, languidly lolling and littering.
It's so annoying to see time wasted and fortuity fraught
But what can anyone watching do?

Premium Member Autumn's Innate Beauty

Listen, as brisk breezes begin
whistling, tickling the rustling leaves.
And hear children laugh as they play
amidst falling leaves in the fall.

Nature dabbles in abstract art:
tapping its palette's deepest depths.
And blending amber with scarlet;
captures Autumn's innate beauty.

But beauty is a fragile thing;
that can wither rather quickly.
And Winter's chilled breath sends shivers
running up the trees late at night.

Flurries carpet a drab landscape
with a fluffy, puffy duvet.
While fragile white flakes fall freely,
like feathers, tumbling in the wind.

Premium Member Learn Not To Code

A man who enjoyed writing code
once took a wrong turn down a road.
Forsaking recursion,
he took an excursion,
now dabbles in sonnets and odes.

His java is still close at hand,
but now it is black and smells grand.
Who needs a compiler?
Just hike a two-miler;
the bugs are all out on the land.

Love Is Everything

if i should live to be one-hundred
i still shall not forget
the love that lives deep inside of me
the one that never quits

i found a touch of heaven
in the brush of his finger tips
there was magic in the soft words
he whispered with tender lips

to a woman love is everything
she puts her whole heart in it
and even when all hope is gone
her mind still dabbles in it

Premium Member November Night

November Night

the day is shrouded in grey
monotone, without visible life
my eye wanders bleakness
searching.

sea is dark all foreboding
even as it lays like glass, seeming quiet,
beguiles the fisher beckoning him
to see what hides beneath?

the willow she dabbles in the river
toes curled back before the cold
droops defeated by her nature
not a living thing is seen.

the fox sleeps in her den
saving for the glory of the night
when life returns through
the boon of Christmas lights.

slowly they appear along our road
first one home then another
joining in a delightful chorus
of twinkle, sparkle and shine.

the sea reflects the electric glory
the river sings carols only willows know
the fox and all stop on their nightly routine
and invite Christmas to shimmer in their eyes.

Hope

It begins
from depths within
unmeasurable plunging phantoms down
festerin' the grounds

Lingerin' up sounds
trace
sin
space
sing

Astir the Astros
call on the cosmos play-sures
endeavors

Psyche
assimilators consciousness
dabbles

Wake the dreamers
the unreal
the liars

The dream team
zookeepers senses that
it sucks as it pants in
suspense feeling
the zeal for
realism

Tangibles
hand-all with care

The Dreamer
Ahh! Wakes up now to form
just a tad late yet find I
brave and craving

Echoes from a conch shell
sounds of the see

voice articulates
to be alert and
reassert

Reach for the stars
else, no heaven be
simply permeate
and then create
the essence

It's dope when
one invokes!

HOPE ...

Loves and losses
revives
relived
rejoice.
