How is it possible, to be "awful" and "amazing" at the same time?
Please don't find me "annoying" as I ponder your "grim" and "gruesome".
There is something quite "delightful" about seeing you so "frightened"!
It is "fortunate" that we crossed paths, "finding" you is most certainly a sign.

For you I have erected a "monolith" here under the blue moon.
At its very centre I will look upon your pure white "oval" face.
I will know pleasure as I gaze into your stunning "opaque" eyes.
It is so very wonderful to see how you are "opening" up to me!

I will not "patronize" you for you will be the "pride" of my garden.
This is merely a simple "prelude" to our very precious time together.
I know removing your face will seem "vicious", but know l will be gentle.
If I'm kind you won't be "vindictive"! Instead you'll love me and I'll be "Victorious"!

For Shadow's "Make a Poem *2Contest."

I used quotes for the words because my iPad doesn't allow me to bold words on Poetry Soup.

I wrote this piece from a serial killers perspective, I guess I've watched to many episodes of "Criminal Minds".

Crimes twisted and horrible are solved by a group of Elite FBI profilers,
re-runs I watch even though I have seen them several times, it matters not.
In each episode the BAU (Behavioral Analysis Unit) solve a mystery.
My favorite character is Spenser, pretty boy, genius, special agent,
in eleven seasons, I followed each nasty crime, at the end my prize is a quote.
Now, I am waiting breathlessly for Season 12 to start in September.
All the characters lives are part of the drama, that makes it interesting to me.
Last episode of Season Eleven, hunky Derek resigns to care his wife and baby.

Most of the characters are like family, JJ, did you know, Henri is her real son,
interesting how Emily just faded away, and Garcia, baby girl, oh so flirtatious,
now has to find a new man to tease. Rossi, oh he is so serious, but I like him.
Do you know Gideon wanted out, they killed him in Season Ten, that was sad.
So you see, I know them all, I solve crimes with them, I am hooked for sure.

October 28 Good News In History

OCTOBER 28 GOOD NEWS IN HISTORY!

I picked me a date.
I chose any date.
Reason is that any day is a good news day.
I created my timeline to illustrate.
I invested wisdom within the knowledge gave.
This should make someone smile and shout hoop hoop hooray.
Therefore, here’s some good news today.

A positive maximum is taken on October 28, 1962.
Cuban missile crisis ended through diplomatic pressure.
The President of the U.S.A., which was JFK, demanded dismantling of U.S.S.R nuclear weapons.

Looking further into the pass views a liberated stance.
On October 28, 1886, The Statue of Liberty was given to U.S.A. as a gift from France.

The Good News Papers have arrived.
We want to embrace positivity into our lives.
We tired of writing about criminal minds.
Therefore, we took a brief trip back in time.

Criminal Minds

Crippled by the gun
Reminders of life being done
In a team
Movement to the scream
Inferno of insanity
Never ending results of vanity
Aluminum scraps all of the scene
Lighting glows in a sheen

Mental breakdowns
Internal empty rounds clattering upon the floor
Napalm dressed corpes
Drowned bodies twisted and warps
Sovling crime is what me do.

Premium Member Their Baby Girl Turned Out Exceptional

Their baby girl turned out exceptional

Their baby girl is very exceptional
Her script perfect
She always had a book in her hand
Reading every spare minute
With a sponge like focus
At craft fairs, for example
She would hide under the table and read
At funeral services and church
She always brought a book
She would always read, read
For her birthday she wanted every episode
Of Criminal Minds, she never wanted toys
A book, or something stimulating her mind
To her was gold
She would also multitask her art
Oils and knitting, all self taught and really good
With her schoolwork
And sports
Swimming, karate and water polo
She was the very best at what she did
All through her schooling
Every single day
Every single day
She never received a grade less than an A
She was class valedictorian
She was phenomenal,
A swan that was always a swan
And recently she completed her first semester
At nursing school with a continued perfect record
Of all A's, all advanced courses
To me this is amazing
If I'm beaming the answer is yes
I spoke with, or should I say joked with the ex
Whose genes did she inherent? Whose?
Because It's neither of us
We laughed, one of the few times we did
I once wrote to my baby girl
Nineteen now, yet she's still my baby
I wrote to her a beautiful poem
About a blossoming rose
Growing to new heights, so elegant and beautiful
Nurtured, loved and cultivated
And she wrote back ... wherever they put me
In life, emphasizing they, I'll blossom that's my promise
I read her response over and over
In my mind, shedding tears
At her conviction, strong
I got to thinking ...
Her being uprooted earlier on in life
Watching her parents divorce, being hurt as a child
Having fears
Spurted her growth, ambition and drive
In my eyes it did
Affecting her in a way that she carried
A chip on her shoulder wanting to be the best
Proving her parents made a mistake in abandoning her
Just this past holidays, I can see a huge transformation in her
It's really noticeable, unrecognizable
She's matured faster than I wanted
Maybe she's dating, dipping her wet feet
But I see something different
I don't know what it is
She's not my baby anymore

Heavenly Things

Heavenly Things

Eggs for breakfast and oatmeal with honey
Buffets with sushi and boyfriends with money
The tranquil room when my roommate's sleeping
These are a few of my favorite things

Criminal Minds and sermons of Joel Osteen
Girl with Down syndrome crowned Homecoming queen
Waking up to coffee in the morning
These are a few of my favorite things

Sparkling water and artificial sweetener
Playing Scrabble and California weather
A seat in the bus where no one's sitting
These are a few of my favorite things

When my brain rings
And the day stings
And the clouds are dark
I simply think of their silver linings
And I don't feel so stark

Crimes In Mind

Ideas so many quibbled in my mind
I can't see what's the best, the better or I'm blind?
help me find the solution
my head aches for this question.

Crime novels I love to read
think the way criminal minds did.
Investigate like the CSI works, but
getting away with murder, what's that?

Burried alive under the moonlight
followed by gangster in the middle of the night.
Shouting, crying, panicking
how should I escape, I'm asking.

Hostage by kidnapper, well, if i'm rich
or being hold-up in the streets of witch
all of which could take place
you or I can be killed in such deadly grace.

I found in Kinsey Millhone's mystery
her style of defense in different scenery.
Bravery and courage I learned from Maggie
in the Moonlight Becomes You, she managed to be free.

Victims are many but criminals are out
evidences are weak, they're afraid to speak out.
How to get away from murder
is my question, give me an answer.

Getting away with murder
my concern is just an issue but further
problem may arise, if I die
you, them and many will cry.

Criminal Minds

The guy who had long hair, now looks worse with short,
one chap looks so serious all the time, more than he ought;
strange that people like watching murder as tho' it's normal,
personally, I prefer something somewhat more magical.

American drama is paramount, Selleck past his sell-by date,
in fact, content is so prolific, it all starts to become second-rate;
La Brea is outrageous, I like weird but that's just stupid,
whoever wrote it, dreamed it up, their taste was insipid.

I used to think that BBC drama was weak, embarrassing,
but maybe not so bad after all, perhaps we like boring;
I read Mansfield was jealous of Monroe, JFK had the pair,
after 'dealing' with her, he had the time to stand and stare.

We live in fiction, even our own lives are completely unreal,
you like watching murder, careful you're not arrested for how you feel.

I Cannot Forget Trayvon Martin Slain Teen

I cannot forget Trayvon Martin - slain teen

no matter manifold more young people
unthinkingly killed, who spirits aspire
to ascend higher than a steeple.

revisited and slightly revised today
March 14th, 2021.

One deliberate shameful death,
whose demise linkedin
violent cessation of breath
thank heavy gun wielding hand
innocuous thug disguised
as armed neighborhood watch
firearm brandished
as weapon of choice.

Once again rifling thru outdated drafts,
I unwittingly repost grievous bulletin
that made headlines nine plus years ago,
an innocent lad received fatal shot
into said unarmed teenager's chest
according to testimony
courtesy Doctor Vincent Di Maio.

Memory of aforementioned crime
relegated to dustbin of criminal minds
whereby dime a dozen killings
(nowadays barely register shock)
countless young persons
genetically bequeathed with
healthy dose of melanin
gunned down during their prime.

George Zimmerman (then age 28)
ought to be pitched into the
alligator and crocodile infested Everglade
for his senseless killing (outright murder)
of Trayvon Martin slammed
as involved some illicit wick kid trade
(a slender African American
more precisely youth flush with color
only 17 years young -

(birthdate - February 5th, 1995
death date - February 26th, 2012),
whose martyrdom grows
as days/weeks fade
an exemplary gregarious helpmate
swimming against the tide
to make the grade
now slain while just a youth -
the unfounded killing
by a neighborhood watch volunteer,

who felt afraid
that this dark skinned young man
appeared suspicious pulled the trigger
with comeuppance to be paid
though -- no retribution can restore
lifeless body, still
agitated waters nor offer shade
from the justifiable media frenzy
sparked from Geraldo Rivera made

even with unanimous
approval of guillotine blade
for violence cannot only rejuvenate
a promising future
evinced by Trayvon Martin
reincarnated into tree or leaf blade
but only serves to beget subsequent
violence now unto his grave
said teenager laid!

Premium Member Scars

“Scars only show us where we have been.
They do not dictate where we are going.”*
They are a timeline of the how and when,
Knowledge of the past they are bestowing.

We cannot run away from who we are.
No matter where we go, we are there.
Whether physical or mental scars,
Our past will follow us everywhere.

Instead, we can let our scars be our guides
And not let them dictate where we go
By making our future what we decide,
And learn from our mistakes as we grow.

*Quote from Criminal Minds

Dreaming In My Reality

Breathing so hard
Mind racing fast
Where the hell am I?
That's all I can ask
Unfamiliar faces
Way too familiar pain
Same ass picture
In an unfamiliar frame
My vision is blurry
But, Temporarily becomes clear
No matter the clarity
Im still drowning in fear
Lack of understanding
Searching for a clue
Wait, this is a dream
So what should I do
I control this scene
That's at least thats what i thought
I pushed and I shoved
I yelled as I fought
He's trying to keep me
He wont let me escape
My eyes wont open
Its as if they were sealed with tape
I feel like I'm in a episode of a twisted "Criminal Minds"
I see whats happening
At the the same time I'm still blind
I find myself somewhere different every single time
O lord please wake me up
Now your seriously playing with my mind.
Now they are laughing at me as if this dream was all real
Whats this misleading concept
Whats the freakin deal?
Sweat now soaking my pillow
My eyes somehow unlatched
Looking around in a dark room
Felt like I was just in a crash
I must get up and walk this dream away
It felt so real as if my reality contained this dismay
Cold water against my skin and a prayer on the side
That's only thing that would rid my dangerous illusions
No longer did i want to fight.
Why these reoccurring dreams?
What is my reality trying to say?
Until i figure out this puzzle
All I can do is pray

Fall Out

wait...
these are the times
when the outside is lined with pseudo sarcastical rhymes
sending grinding vibes of binding crime into non criminal minds
with winding cliff sides with clean records that die
when men move forward they never ask why
slide up vertical and cross the horizontal divide
pride, these men will always hide...
with their scraped knees
they only march under sick trees,
slipping deeper through the ugly canopies
they leave their minds to wander
this the sum of their good deeds?

un-stitched seams open the mind to reality--
only two days can change a man's mentality
neutrality sets in and begins the stage of awkward gestures
pestering the thoughts and molesting all the guess work
God calls out!
“attention all petitions, lower your fists, and please unclench them
your time's not up and I will not forgo your pension”
man cries up toward the ceiling believing god and prays for healing
feeling so mundane when man's sanity pleas for strain
blame the man and make a mane of dirty hairs
send paradoxical signal flares
vacuum out all holy air time stops and now he's there
no..
fall out only hurts when man runs circles round dirty squares

Fear rises in the back of my throat
Like saliva, it sputters in my mouth
Eroding my senses with apprehension
Reminiscing with dread of night tremors
Touching cold bones with a caress
From the criminal minds who blast
Darkness into the light, yearning for
Storms that will allow them to fight
All the gentle thoughts that might come
Into the heart who knows that this night
Halloween, is merely a holiday, not a
Dreaded gloomy nocturnal dreamscape
