Premium Member Conquering Rainbows

With the sun shining on my right side
And the clouds pouring rain on my left
It seemed to me, I didn’t have too far to go
To reach the most brilliant rainbow I had ever seen yet

I ran as fast as my little feet could take me
Before the spectacle could up and disappear
My whole life, I wanted to scale rainbows
I may as well do it right now and here

When I reached the beginning I was almost blinded
The red and orange were hot to my touch
But when I grabbed a hold of the yellow and green
They didn’t hurt so much

I placed one foot on the blue; the other on the indigo
I used the violet underneath me, to point out which way to go

The slope started off steep; it took everything I had to climb
As up and up and up I went, losing all track of time

At the top of the rainbow I could see forever
The earth beneath me and the heavens above
I had never felt this feeling before
I’m pretty sure that they call it “love”

I just sat there in peaceful silence
With the colors wrapped around my limbs
If happiness was a deep blue ocean
I had just jumped in it for a swim

The time had come for me to descend
As the sun was starting to set
I slid down the rainbow like a playground slide
On a ride I will never forget

When I reached the end of the rainbow
I found disappointed people looking for gold
But fortunes aren’t found at the end of the rainbow
It’s in the journey – or so I am told

CONQUERING THE BLIND SCALES OF PATRIARCHY

Crystal cold are the pupils of some men
staring red to jailed porcelain dolls skin
dowered for the title of chastity,
your curves, your swell, they treated like machines.
You can be the light midst darkness, woman

yet why they see your body as gold mines,
your face displays no favor from their sight.
Fruits of labor you bring harvest nothing
your virginal flesh dead ere blossoming
suspended by sharp claws of ignorance?

Aged with grief but rising from conquered fears,
woman today shake white-walled home of kings
to trumpet-loud the darkness in her feet...
Wounded is her heart but still she will stand,
her message free flying high without wings

She will fight even with the threats of death
balancing blind scales of patriarchy,
Fears foregone, her bravery stifling pain,
peace and justice, equality to all
the rights for women her ever after toil!

Conquering Love I

"CONQUERING LOVE

Hinged between the family feud,
our love is forged in spite dismay.
as egos grapple rift of old,
I know you have a heart of gold.

Defiance all, my heart aflame,
at statue ruins we meet again.
This secret place, to us discreet,
Like puffin doves, we pledge our love,
For no one else but us can see,
our unity under the willow tree,

Believe not that of gossip tongue,
Not chosen them, my soul mate be,
I know you not, tradition seek.
For sake of honour, custom speak.

No rule or code or flogging me,
For you my love, my fortress be.
A miracle wish, this feud shall cease.
My knight in armour set me free.

I long the day in history,
To spend our life in tranquillity.
Submit to thee my dignity.
A life in distant far away,
lest family lead my life astray.

Premium Member My God, Thank You For Conquering Me

December 22 Scripture Meditations Based on Revelation 6

Key Verses – Revelation 6:1-2 And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see. And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR CONQUERING ME

Thank You for Your conquering me and my degradation
Against hell’s terrible destruction
Fully rescuing me from sinfulness-degeneration
By Your compassionate heavenly direction.

Thank You for Your conquering me and my infirmity
Against carnality’s lustful iniquity
Fully pulling me from transgression-impurity
By Your dignified honourable integrity.

Thank You for Your conquering me and my filthiness
Against worldliness’ fearful perilousness
Fully driving me from corruption-fruitlessness
By Your constant gracious faithfulness.

Thank You for Your conquering me and my arrogance
Against pride’s selfish allegiance
Fully covering me from deception-appearance
By Your divine fatherly assistance.

Thank You for Your conquering me and my sentiment
Against discontentment’s foolish supplement
Fully correcting me from doubtfulness-statement
By Your wise eternal settlement.

Thank You for Your conquering me and my preference
Against changes’ erratic persistence
Fully upholding me from compromise-prevalence
By Your supreme sovereign permanence.

Thank You for Your conquering me and my fright
Against backsliding’s agonizing blight
Fully guarding me from quitting’s flight
By Your loving Word’s might.

Reaching For Love , Conquering Darkness

Darkness and despair, light is disappearing,
Hope is overwhelmed, fear keeps building,
I extend my hand, praying for guidance
But the embodiment of death arrives, wishing my end with calmness
In the midst of surrender, the devil waits
But then i hear a voice, which echoes '' my love do not despair your fate''
A hand reaches out with the promise to give wings and a prayer
With wings i soar, out of the unforgiving crater,
And a new found strength to live and not to fold i gained through my prayer
Light has shone and the darkness has waded,
Memories of suffering and depression all but faded,
I search for the voice which gave me strength,
A maiden appeared with love overwhelming,
She gave me solace, felt like i was soaring,
Our hearts interlocked, never threatening to tear asunder,
At that moment a new resolve was awakened,
Take me darkness, leave me broke, shatter my spirit and leave me shaken,
But my love will endeavour, never having to fear consternation

My school is so hard
The homework unbearable
It puts me down, down
I’m resilient

Premium Member Conquering Divisions

I am not made a full blown beauty..
Nor I live a life of purity; charity & piety..
All I like to do is to live with identity..
Not of being a witty but a life of humility..

I tried to be a more social person..
Cracking out the shell I have put up..
Breaking from my own weakness..
Doing best in my found strengths..

I have craved to reach out to people..
Widening my horizon, increasing my knowledge and awareness..
Learning to acknowledge fellow human beings..
Regardless of who they are and where they from..

They said: "I must not do this as it is dangerous.."
but I stand to what I know: "Inside all human beings is the reflection of God.."
I give due and equal chance..
As my God have freely given me opportunities too..

We people are living in same earth..
Different are we because of status, faith or race..
Let not this be the reason for us to be divided..
Rather we must come in unison conquering divisions..

Conquering Life

Eagerly she swept about the maze
Her patience robust
Years became of all of the days
Sturdy kept her trust

One brick wall led to another
Persistence was key
Softly repeated the words of her mother
Soon she would be free

Times were trying, her energy ran thin
She didn't buckle or relent
Her sky high tolerance would deliver her the end
With her eye on the prize, she went

As promised, one day the walls gave out
She could see in every direction
The smell of victory was ever so stout
She tingled with perfection

Conquering

What a conquering

When a flower is forced ..

to live in a tomb..

A very dark one.

with no one hollow..

no light..

no breath..

no feelings.

just tears and misery..

That`s me.....

can`t you see?

I hated my breath,

That brings your smell to me..

Hated my eyes when it see you...

can`t you feel?

My blood is chilling .

when your ugly hands touches me.

o` my miserable life..

how would I continue standing?

like an iceberg..

I think it is now melting..

collapsing.........

Premium Member Conquering Negative Sentimentality

Deceitfully lurking
in the guise of nostalgic surge
s e n t i m e n t a l i t y
arrogantly lingers
along perceived sensible reminiscences...

Persisting to dominate
over carnal mind*
s e n t i m e n t a l i t y
poisons thoughts
in defiance to reality
yet, such is denied with hypocrisy's pride …

Afflicting soul
with gloom ---
s e n t i m e n t a l i t y
leaves soul lamenting
midst loathsome guilt
feasted upon by despair and hopelessness….

By the Saviour's grace,
now triumphantly praising the Lord
spirit in fervent communion with God
prevails over and above s e n t i m e n t a l i t y
for functional memory-reverberation
beyond the mockery of the foes: self, world and the devil.

*Romans 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

Conquering Self

What are mountains
But opportunities
To climb and conquer
Our fears
Of achieving
Our own
Magnificent potential
Overcoming the pitfalls
And crevasses
Loose boulders
Ravines and gorges
Dense thickets and forests
Or even bone-chilling snow
Pumping adrenaline
For a magnificent
View at the top
And the exhilaration
Of thumping our chests
With pride
To scream into the wind
“I DID IT!”

Conquering Fear

Do you feel fear rising when you lose hope
It is exactly in these moments you give up
It might be a daily struggle trying to cope
Giving to your fears doesn't mean giving up
From within yourself you will find strength
Conquering your fears for it take strength

Conquering Love Ii

CONQUERING LOVE II

As we abode in distant land
we toil the soil in humble stay,
for river banks adorn our presence,
in harmony of tranquil days.

Yet clouds of doom, horizons loom,
for strong still homeland, culture rules.
To find us they have vowed our perish.
Our offspring threat, new alpha birth,
has fueled the hate to seal our fate.

Immortal love has proved to all,
our sacred shrine, the willow tree,
Where gods of love has set us free,
to reign our lives as predestined

Not gates of hell or witches spell
can spurn this love eternal be
For death has come to culture door,
and laid to rest, the threat no more.

Premium Member Conquering Discombobulation Attacks

I lay me down to sleep tonight…
after fulfilling tasks’ delight
conquering frenzy sprite
in motherly roles of disarray-height
while discombobulation attacks I did smite~~~~

Praying first along freedom height
greeting morn as sun rays ignite
to bask under health radiance bright
jogging along well-being sprite
then gardening, thanking God’s might…

While enjoying home chores on sight
cooking, washing, cleaning stain blight
feeding gusto’s bite appetite
teaching kids toward wisdom flight
from ignorance and deceit light…

With day’s accomplishment all right~~~
now I lay me down to sleep* tight.

*Psalm 4:8 I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.
