Best Connie Poems
If I could give you a rose for everyone you touched, you would have a garden
of roses.
If there was a person's name that represented Kindness and Love it would be
yours.
If remembering someone special, that genuinely cared about others and was giving of themselves, you would be the one I think of.
If I had to choose one friend in this world, I would choose you.
If Angels are real, and they were here on this earth, You were one.
" The Mother Tree" you were to all those you loved.
(The Mother Tree was a poem Connie wrote that made 100 best Poems list.)
Your heartache is over Dear friend.
All whom you touched, are thinking of you.
Love and good wishes, We send.
To an Angel, we once knew.
You touched our lives for a while,
and shared your love and your trust.
We will always remember your smile,
and the love you shared with us.
You missed your husband and son.
You wrote of your love for them.
Now the time has come.
When you're reunited with them again..
You will always be part of our lives.
As these tears roll down my face,
as I ask the questions why,
and trust in our Lords Grace.
Rest in Peace Dear Connie.

We'll miss your presence, Connie dear
the special kindness you have shown-
and now we're feeling quite alone.
We'll miss your poems, that is clear-
the time you took to reading ours-
your comments rating full five stars!
Your thoughtful words were so sincere,
and full of hope in your sweet way-
for us a gracious word bouquet.
Too soon, such sad news did appear!
Your husband, son- from life did pass.
Though crushed, your courage did amass.
Now, of your passing, we must hear!
Your restored health took a bad turn-
such unexpected news to learn!
We'll miss your presence, Connie, dear-
We'll miss your poems, that is clear.
Your thoughtful words were so sincere.
Too soon, such sad news did appear!
Now, of your passing, we must hear!

Form: "Constanza", invented by Connie Marcum-Wong
She rides on a sailing ship high in the skies
embracing creation of her wandering star
cheerfully greeting her guests.
Some pleasant and chatty,
some on occasion she may ask,
“Please don’t fall over me.”
Hawaii is where her heart lies;
and island of poetry that inspires her soul,
of orange sunset against sublime radiant blue.
She strolls up and down the tan beach,
enjoying the feel of warm grains of sand between her toes,
breathing in the whole innocence of beauty
as tears of joy blend in with the cool briny sea.
A place of timeless harmony
her peace of heaven

A tribute to Connie Marcum Wong
Her poems are inspiring
This was a comment written by a friend; I know is if a fight breaks out on a plane and I'm your flight attendant please don't fall on me during your altercation ??
Her poetry springs from inspiration.
Her service merits admiration.
She sees the hue of souls and hearts,
speaks with hands, knows magic arts,
loves the sea, rides the skies;
Easily she cries!
A lovely dame,
and Connie
is her
name.
There are special people, God put in this world.
Deserving of Diamonds and Beautiful Pearls.
Her words are genuine and they touch us all.
Caringness and kindness, we felt, and saw.
To know her is to love her, in a Special way.
Now my friends, it's time to Pray.
A Prayer for healing, to Heal Her Heart.
To bring to her, a Brand New Start.
She's been through so much, in a very short time.
Please pray for her, and be so kind.
Soup Mail her, to show you Care.
That's all of you, her friends Out There.
We miss you Connie Please Come Back Soon.
If not by daybreak by afternoon.
Our prayers are with you, please know we're here.
Have Peace in your Heart, and No fallen Tears.
Please reach out to Connie Marcum
Wong. If you haven't heard she was
recently in the Hospital with a serious
medical condition.
Also a big Thank You to John Watt's

When Sweet And Soft Morn No Longer Calls Out,
Dedicated to my dear friend, Connie Marcum Wong
When heart is broken, ocean is drained
All becomes sad-blue, all life is stained
Dawn brings epic sorrows, no real relief
Ripped and torn, shattered some beliefs
Midnight moon casts down that terrible blue
Everything sad even shining new.
When heart is broken, ocean is drained
All becomes sad-blue, all life is stained
When sweet and soft morn no longer calls out
And life cries for hope, with dark mourning shout
Hours flow forth like whimpering aches of day
All the green blades of grass seem morbid gray
Hurt promises to let other shoe drop
And mind wonders shall this agony stop.

Sonnet
Born from a poet's heart that has seen too much sorrow and loss.
Dedicated to those lost. And to my dear friend Connie Marcum.
I truly think she would have loved this one.
As she saw the merits in sad, dark and truth in life should be represented in poetry.
(Valentine's Collection)
55.
Over the miles from the top of Arrach,
my heart sings an eternal song to you.
Touching the azure as sol does look back,
Through the ages we've passed and life lived new.
Hear my heart singing its Valentine song,
as your dear image before me does stand.
Over the valleys and mountains so strong,
Flyng so high just to hold your dear hand.
As we gaze out o'er the valley's fair grace
With our beating hearts that now beat as one
Your arms keep me warm in loving embrace
Restricting winds chill and warmth from the sun.
Valentine hearts and pretty red roses
on this day meant for lovers, your heart's song,
verses written with romantic posies,
to you my sweetheart I'll always belong.

Hi Connie, I just want to thank you for sharing ink with me in this collaboration. It was an honour and a pleasure as it always is. You did make the process easy and enjoyable. You gave the piece its light gentleness. Thank you for being a part of the collection. Have a wonderful Valentine's day. Hugs....Mike. XX
Dear Connie
We’re sorry for your loss and broken heart
There are no words to soften such a blow
This life can be hard and tear us apart
We are here for you, I thought you should know
You have our prayers and our thoughts as well
We will share with you, your burden and pains
We now mourn with you as our tears will tell
His memory shines even when it rains
Each night before bed, keep one thing in mind
Memories will live with every breath
Keep them in your heart and easy to find
He will be remembered long after death
May your heart find peace from the Lord above
We are the poets who send you our love
An idiom by which she's always stuck
is 'having one's head buried in a book'
The truth behind it, she was unprepared
that morning as she went to climb the stairs.
Stopping to lift a bottle, bad mistake
especially when one isn't quite awake
her balance gone, could not control herself
now plunging headlong into the book shelf.
Bruised head, bruised knees, bruised pride was quite enough,
thankfully, make-up would disguise the scuffs.
But then she only went and made it worse
by saying that it would make a good verse.
Hopefully next time she will be wiser
and not tell me, but tell 'Trip Advisor'

There once was a model named Connie
who wanted her skin to be tawny.
She took the wrong stuff,
so now she’s Miss Tough!
Her arms and her legs became brawny.

My dear friend Connie Marcum Wong planted a rainbow tree
Under Luna's night she wrote a God's Kind Of Poetry
Embracing mother Earth she stood
In life's garden- bird in a wood
Laid golden eggs in silver beds for all of us for free

Aloha, Connie Marcum Wong
A fellow islander, here in the State of Hawaii
Plain common folks in touch with its aina (land)
Noticed by many soupers long before this tadpole swam the pond
Well-grounded, skilled with a pen, with a memorable persona,
In my view, I became a welcomed homey, charmingly receptive, in a comfortable regular confab of subject subtleties to filling, reflections of a lifetime,
From our friends to our families to our Hawaii ~~
...of a gorgeous floral lei, imagined or realized
...both pales in comparison
...Aloha always
...my blessings,
...Connie

Our fond memories remain to remind us.
strength of character
ready supporter, true friend ...
always a lady
The beauty spilling from your pen
and all your passions placed therein,
evoked emotions deep within,
and if our souls ne’er meet again,
I’m blessed to say, I knew you when.
Sincerely,
