Best Condoned Poems
There's a movement going on
But it shouldn't have taken this long
Me too, Me three, Me four, Me five
Sexual harassment and rape has affected our lives.
Tortured in silence
How we've forced ourselves to hide the violence.
Oh he just likes me this kind of thing is normal
An unwanted sexual advance made to seem formal.
You're uncomfortable but it's not sexual harassment.
You tell yourself I know that's not exactly what he meant
But what happens if it happens again
Will you keep it bottled or tell a friend
Will she say me too
Or hold you accountable for what has happened to you
You know the type that will say you had a choice
You shouldn't have dressed like that making your clothes, your voice
Like you're begging to be victimized
When his intentions are already in his eyes
What about the girl who was raped
In his eyes she didn't have a face
He didn't care about the hurt he caused
He didn't care about how she lost it all
When he decided to take a sacred part of her being
Screams, cries and kicks to him they had no meaning
Me too is how I felt
When I heard the tales from someone else
Like you are not alone
Their actions can't possibly be condoned
But we sit here with tears in our eyes
Silence forcing ourselves to go blind
Like nothing ever happened
When deep inside we're snapping
Souls enraged with no courage to speak up
Thinking what has happened is not enough
Not enough to get the justice you need
Not enough to wipe the emotional scars clean

Love and Pain
Decided to get married
I know it seems strange
For you would have expected
Love and affection to want to tie the knot
After all…they were similar
They socialized in the same set of word families
The artistonyms
Love and passion also wanted
To be forever joined
That everyone condoned and blessed
But, oh, how everyone laughed
At the strange request
Of Love and Pain
To be wed
“What’s wrong with your head?
You two are from different worlds
From antonym slums
You can’t unite
And become one!”
Love held on to Pain
And would not let her go….
He smiled a knowing smile
“There has never been
One of us without the other
We belong…
For only when you truly encounter Love
Will you experience Pain.”
Pain shed a tear
And yet she smiled
“Where Love exists
I hover near…
Have no fear
Our union will produce
Beautiful babies
Love sires Joy
A darling child
Love fathers Peace
And Tranquility, in turn
These are the children we will bear
But do beware
Love can’t survive, without Me
For how would He know
How would He be certain
That he is alive….and well
Were it not for ME!
And so Love and Pain
Were wed
Amongst great fanfare
It was a match made in heaven
For never did they depart
One from another
Love and Pain?
Not so insane
Everyone did testify
That one did not come
Without the other
They were tied together
Inseparable
Nothing could come between them
Except their little babies
The most beautiful mixed babies
That eye shall ever see!
Sweet harmony
Of Love and Pain
Who lived.......companionably ever after!

Personification
Nearing four A.M. and closing time...
He says,"one more with double lime"
Meanwhile... brown eyes in the mirror gaze
She takes off his ring...puts on her face
Where makeup flows...more is required
Those telltale signs...sure cover hard!
Damn all those years...with pain condoned
She'll scream no more..She's got her going on
She's got her going on...in her silk Deville
Love pointed south...dressed fit to kill
Her cheeks are dry...her heart's a stone...
'Hell with goodbye..she's got her going on!
He runs to beg...It's past too late
Her burning tires.....Accentuate !
His staggered stare...meets the ice cold dawn
She's outta there...Got her going on!
Mid morning knock..at the front door
He smiles, "She's coming... back for more"!
Handcuffed.... in route...to his hoosegow home
He ain't getting out.... She's got her going on!!
She's got her going on...In her silk Deville.....
Love pointed south...dressed fit to kill
Her cheeks are dry...her heart's a stone
'Hell with goodbye...She's got her going on!

Lyric
You march calling for taxes on
things that you think we should not eat,
tax the soda, tax the chips,
and above all tax the meat!
We point out that you have no right,
you stamp your feet and raise your voice,
utterly convinced that we
should be deprived of our free choice.
We chose to smoke or choose to drink,
aware of the potential risks,
the fact you can’t control our acts
just seems to make you more pissed,
then you badger the government,
“Use the law to make them see!”
Mind your business, no one else’s,
keep you damn laws off my body.
You claim health care should have no cost,
and be provided without charge
by governments that cannot run
departments for registering cars.
You think I should give up my health
to those power-hungry minds
who lie and drag you through the courts
if you dare to expose their crimes?
They let people suffer so
they can win a few extra votes,
you don’t think that they would 'let die'
any ‘inconvenient’ sick folk?
Institutions ever corrupt,
and cursed with inefficiency,
have no business treating people,
keep you damn laws off my body.
You claim that every woman should
be able to kill without regret,
as long as it’s their own child,
and has not left the womb yet.
Never mind the barbarism,
there is something that I must say:
I’m not part of my mother’s flesh,
I’ve got my own damn DNA!
Some claim it doesn’t matter since
I cannot survive on my own,
but neither can a five-year old,
and yet murder is not condoned.
I’ve never seen the Earth before,
but I’m a unique entity,
You cut me up and say it’s fine?
Keep you damn laws off my body!

The human race speaks of a faraway place called heaven
no doubt there, they’ll breathe easy knowing some still care,
yet to flee from incarnation’s mask, anxious tears so many have to share,
for while we have but a limited time here,
hunger for and pay homage to that eminent gig in the sky,
if only to await one’s promise after a lifetime able to turn
to glance upon the earth, the colour clear, tainted with the blood
of those whom in his name die.
Is it written that evil would survive in many forms
power to wield when humanity spawned
to become a collection of wretched emotions here in the great “Bee Hive”
for eons of tears after creation dawned?
From the outset irrefutable impressionists hold the reigns
dwell in the surge of adrenalin’s rush,
an awareness to inflict one’s pain
with logic; simple minds cannot crush!
They called it religion in the name of;
coerced to sacrifice, manipulate,
a book of instructions a creed thereof
to enhance their powers, stipulate.
The human race, each an individual
yet herds of sheep reliant upon the Ram,
the weakest tossed aside, residual
till nurtured re-educated those the Lamb.
There are many in his name soil their reputation
unjustifiable actions condoned by a hierarchy of hidden agendas,
license to continue with savage mutation
to aid the evil despot, lord of the greatest of pretenders.
Soon this holy mess an ant’s nest deaden
although some the skill to explore the stars,
man will action his very own Armageddon
only to carry on with the emotional scars!

Free verse
DEAR GOD,
why must I see the road blocked--
and make the about-turn?
I want to know something--
why must all my dream become oblique
and blatantly bare?
your generosity stills stands--
waiting to inject my pessimisms.
in absolute rejoinder, God I agree
the solemnity, the gravity, all that matters.
I stand to be corrected now.
I stand to be given another luck, God.
by placing me anthropocentrically--
I got myself condoned on that glorious tree,
God why did you do that?
why did they bow to me for instance--
capitulating their will under my foot?
or does it mean they pray me?
I am just a piece of the clay--
and you know that God
my righteousness is underdone
it has empty existence at all, God!

Racism can't be condoned in any way shape or form
It's not who we are, it should never be the norm
All equal under the law
Really sticks in my craw
Witnessing this arrogance leaves me to mourn

Limerick
Their violence, can only be condemned
Their fires, can never be extinguished
For their bullets, and detonations
Can never be undone
As living is not an option, for the lifeless
Their contemptuous acts against humanity
Cannot be denied
For the tears they have claimed, keep flowing
Promising no dryness, until peace prevails
And weapons, are lost
Reasons, bear no importance
Murder, can only be condoned by few
For bloodied portraits, agonize most
As often innocent souls, wishing to turn back time
Shadow the background of each
The growth of the cynic, only thrives
As compassion, evades his heart
His faith in mankind, is long lost
Though a cynic, I am not
My heart only throbs
As the city of love, is wounded by hate...

Whether the shadow of your face
Or the stripes of grace on the leaves
Whether the water and soil
In turmoil to sprout and bloom out
Releasing the stress of the bones
Into the cones of the buds
All I collect
In the micro baskets
The moment I get a racket
And you gladly connect with me
The game starts with thrill
Smilingly cooperates the grist mill
Churning the colours
Burning the impurities
Unlocking the keys
Bending the journeys
Grinding the thesis
Breaking the antithesis
And look
Beautifully emerging
The subtle synthesis
From nowhere they appear
The humming bees
For the poetry
For example
Beneath my skull
Just the other day
The sun of Shillong
Its kisses on the hill slopes
Your mouth washing soap on the wash basin
The children
They run in the school playground
The astounding hill peaks
Seeking to pierce the swollen pink clouds
The tall trees like taller women
Shedding shadows on the tea garden
The day labourer clearing the tea roots
The plastics strewn thanks to the brutes
The grist mill felt aroused
Everything it espoused
And the processing started
The flour?
From the cuddling hills
Down to the green oak shadow
Life with peace and strife

Perished in thought burn all things to ash
Like those inspired by a shadows edge,
But who is blessed in the miracle of life, the complexity of thought and dream
Under the question from ones conscience;
Strange it is when truth has breached
By a thousand souls descendant
And the drip from my toilets rim
Give to us all the vision of change
Deep in thought and perception,
Until the sanctity our intent inspired
Is characterized by the solitude within;
Speak the lines in reflected reason
When impressions are all unjust
Under the drip from my toilets rim
Do not desert what lays condoned
By the ancient deceptive oracle,
For there is no explanation to complexities, or the isolation of its decent
Into our moral servitude;
Listen to the knowledge in the words we speak
The question of a thought applied
To that drip from my toilets rim

Ballad
Two scales must always be within an approximate range
for an accurate weight, and the close relationship
between the Humankind and God must withstand any change.
Solutions must be found before catastrophe approaches,
and if we were caught by surprise, we would regret the outcome;
less trees should be cut down to make room for buildings.
Thieves, murderers and rapists should be held in contempt
and thrown into dungeons...instead of giving them cosy cells,
the Law admits that's just to punish, but inhumane to torment.
Nightly streets have been taken over by muggers, drug dealers
and prostitutes, now called escorts, haven't changed their lewd attitude;
even madams of the brothels open doors for the well-dressed sirs.
Society has gone mad, and it has condoned both sexes of equal desires;
never was Sodom and Gomorrah as iniquitous and lustful as this one;
God forbid...I entered this city and be found guilty of their perversions!
While on the outskirts, in run-down homes poverty duplicates its horrible woes,
politicians' corrupt hands are not seen...pocketing money that Congress approved;
and the suffering of the poor is plagued by famines that turn into deadly diseases.
Crooked judges are manipulated by criminal defense lawyers who have handfuls of cash;
justice can never be served when criminals are given their parole, and the innocent,
humble men are detained and put behind bars, because of their limited wealth.
Proud hearts see neither simplicity nor beauty in anything that evolves into splendid light;
self-praise, greed, bluntness and invulnerability are the rules they live and swear by;
humbleness is unacceptable and insignificant...it's a virtue which diminishes their pride.

Romancing The Turtle
A second or third party of unknown origin
Fragmented theories, partially substantiated as of this hour
Fully disclosed an encounter
Between a man and a tortoise or turtle
They told a tale to a friend of a friend
Regarding an unnatural act as a fact
Between a turtle and man caught in the act
With a bottle of wine to seal the deal
A relationship not condoned by the church
As the man had no cloths on
And whose name will remain undisclosed
For the moment
Due to the sensitive nature of the accusatory story
We will take a snack break now. I need energy to continue
There is no reason to doubt this account
Since we can’t discount the sources
Scores of sources from all over town
Maybe one but who knows….maybe less
And the tortoise or turtle for his defense
Speaks no English and therefore it makes no sense
To take this to trial
In Florida as a matter of legal fact and consequence
It is still illegal to sleep with alligators or porcupines
Peculiar I guess in anyone’s mind
Well that’s just fine and justice from behind
But what about the poor other species?
Who will protect them from naked men?
And what if PETA finds out?
As for me, I’m teaching my turtles English
And keeping them safe in the house for good reason

Posted on Christmas Eve, happy cuz Trump soon leaves
America finally gets a reprieve from the lies he weaves
Well, pardon ME if you disagree, but he's one and done
He's been pardoning crooks, murderers, daughter & son
giving the phrase, "Who let the dogs out?" the answer
It's the narcissist who infected the country with cancer
It's time for a celebration and Happy New Year to cheer
A new President will reside in the White House next year
Trump will have to vacate his throne. It's been conferred.
No fraud took place or election rigging. That was absurd!
Joe Biden will be moving into 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue
Uniting our country without Trump's drama and ballyhoo
What a poor example he's been as a leader; head of state
America was better off before he said he'd make it great.
Move along with your counterfeit tan and puckered mouth
Take your cocky kids with you as you putt your way South.
Let's hope once he's gone, out great nation will soon heal
with a commander who can keep our ship on an even keel
"Trump's descended into madness," "He's lost his mind"
Recent headlines that his supporters will claim are unkind
but considering the mess he's made of many vital issues,
the only sympathy I can offer them is a box of tissues
The oval office will need steam cleaning and fumigation
No portrait of him to hang. Let him take that to litigation!
It's reported Trump is headed South, to his Florida estate
His new slogan, just released: "Trump 2024 ~ DONATE!"
He's spent more time golfing than acting like a President
His Mar-a-Lago neighbors don't want him as a resident!
The worst possible fraud committed in the last four years
is the fake role he played, condoned by Republican peers
It won't be smooth waters for a while because of the scum
he's left behind; that shameful man, that do-nothing bum
America has been stumbled from each inept Trump blunder
pitting brother against brother; he's ravaged us all asunder
He once said the world was laughing at our great nation
The truth is they laugh at him; a presidential abomination

God Smiles!!
God looked down and smiled.
“Why are you smiling?’ asked the angel.
"I saw a former politician on the road,
Trying to survive," said he.
Self enrichment and debauchery,
That defy the laws of righteousness,
And non-stop crimes and cover-ups
Have been the litany of his life.
Acquiring wealth the wrong way,
Narrowing the paths of minorities,
Fattening himself on other's sufferings
Can never be condoned!
Sad, but his glory days are over;
No one cares for him now.
This is the end of every man
Who misuses his power!
There is a configuration of morality.
If you forget to follow it,
You cannot escape the consequences!
Said God, with a smile.
