Dear God

DEAR GOD,

why must I see the road blocked--
and make the about-turn?
I want to know something--
why must all my dream become oblique
and blatantly bare?
your generosity stills stands--
waiting to inject my pessimisms.

in absolute rejoinder, God I agree
the solemnity, the gravity, all that matters.
I stand to be corrected now.
I stand to be given another luck, God.
by placing me anthropocentrically--
I got myself condoned on that glorious tree,
God why did you do that?

why did they bow to me for instance--
capitulating their will under my foot?
or does it mean they pray me?
I am just a piece of the clay--
and you know that God
my righteousness is underdone
it has empty existence at all, God!

Yes, our righteousness is as filthy rags but when God looks at us through the shed blood of His Son then we become white as snow..Thanks for the visit to my page..Sara

Kochieng, Welcome to Poetry soup, I hope you enjoy the community. Here, you will find friendly poets who enjoy supporting one another. I myself, enjoy reading and commenting those who want to be read. The only time I give constructive criticism is when a poet desires it. However, if for some reason the poem is not my field I will guide you to someone who is more qualified than I. Stop by and read one of my poems if you like. My poems are not perfect, but I have a feeling you might like one. I encourage you to check out the contest page and read to receive comments. Tell me a little about your poetic skills if you like. It will be my pleasure to follow and read every poem you post from here on :) We are Lucky To Have you. Your New Poet Friend @-> LINDA <-@

Thanks a lot Linda. I think this is where I have desired to belong. am happy to have people read my poems and give back comments and also criticize where possible. I am not a published poet, but a budding one. my love for poetry has been growing since high school--am a third year student the technical university of Kenya (TUK). I write about love, nature, humanity, friendship, family, psalms, and many others. thanks a lot again.
