Premium Member One Last Tear

Riding distressed air, thoughts wander off
Disrupting poise and shaking her resolve
As the blue skies yield to darkened clouds
And sunny day concedes to advent of dark.

Looking for warmth she reaches far back
Reminiscing allure of moonlit ambiance
When holding hands under luminous stars
Amatory vibes twinkled dreamy romance.

Not a word he says about impending plight
Wrapping around her a reassuring stance,
Humming a tune from the sensuous past
Looking for sunshine amidst dreary storm.

Tomorrow will be the first day of new life
As countdown begins to how long he lives.
She'll be ready with the will of almighty,
Defying death at the entrance of mortality.

Much as they try to verbalize what's ahead
Silence manifests when words are needed.
A kiss of passion says she'll love him always
As one last tear sheds in grip of his embrace.

Pretending can be a bold form of experimentation
and inventiveness. In pretending joy or happiness,
we may discover or enhance our capacity for it.

Harriet Lerner

Lord Leofric: The waging of war is man’s affair
Lady Godiva: Then wage war in your way, M’Lord,
and I’ll wage war in mine

Movie, Lady Godiva of Coventry (1955)

MASQUERADE

Quivers the man traversing the icescape.
Queen dominates the saddle with her eyes.
Size five, bare, narrow feet melt snowy floor.
Masquerade - his wife dreamy in disguise.
Flesh, smooth as ice rink, after zamboni.
Warm hearth behind the seven veils of d’sire.
Godiva tresses descend to her knees.
Bright red lips, parting flames, a flute of fire.
Singes where cherry makes contact...shivers
and moans like Winter Nor’easter through trees.
Memories malleable — tongue to ink.
Lobe, neck, thighs surrender to cold night tease.
Quiet warmth underneath the satin sheets.
His eyes wide open - concedes his defeat.

Premium Member Bravery Is All There Is

When darkness falls and finds us all alone,
When the heart becomes a small grey stone ...
     Bravery is all there is.

When thunder shakes the windowpanes,
When those we love lie wracked with pain ...
     Bravery is all there is.

Bravery concedes its fear;
Does not attempt to hide its tears.
Bravery is born of holding calm,
In quietly, doggedly, carrying on.

When reason fails to light the dark,
When the answer is a question mark ...
     Bravery is all there is.

When justice seeks to rule in vain,
When sorrow sweeps the roiling brain ...
     Bravery is all there is.

Bravery trembles while it stands,
Accepts what it cannot command.
Bravery bears its burdens well,
Looks not to see if others tell.

     Be brave then, Mystery asks of us;
Face the unknown with silent trust -
For at the End, there is only this:
     Bravery is all there is.
     Bravery is all there is.

Greed

Greed

Entitled by birth
So sure of his worth
A spawn of the upper crust seizes
Most any and all
Nay modest or small
His share of whatever he pleases
From a child to a man
The little prince can
Never enjoy what he sees is
His mountain of stuff
Though never enough
Claims his soul while he overseas it.
That quest for the till
That vast want unfilled
Binds the man to the thought that he needs it
The substance he craves
Though his being depraved
Will be free only when he concedes it.

Premium Member The Eyes Have It

To kiss your eyes with mine, my eyelids lift
And find emotions rise, in flickering trace
Warm and flameless fires smolder with their gift
To capture heartfelt needs from their embrace
We will sigh as our lover's eyes unite
To drift away in a silent tether
Hands held tenderly, as our hearts hold tight
So our dreams and wishes dance together
We'll cross unmeasured distance in-between
And drink from lover's orbs amorous wine
To share a kiss so deep in time serene
Our flame fed souls burn as the eyes entwine

The only sacred space where love concedes
When it melts the eyes with its flaming needs

~ A tyrant hides behind a vengeful vail
forever cloaking liberty in fear.
He stands aware that gains of war may pale
beneath the balance due to persevere.
He knows his prey may revel undeterred,
constrained between fidelity and death,
and freedom’s call, once chiseled into word,
could lend his realm to draw its final breath.
But still the clouds, bellowing discourse,
spill down as steel to desecrate the soil,
as freedom rears to front oppression’s force,
the innocent lie trapped within its boil.
Though mortal flesh concedes to crimes of war,
the sovereign soul shall reign forevermore.

Premium Member A Narrow Path To Nonsense

Trying to pass an elephant
Through a needle is crazy and irrational
That's a narrow path to nonsense
Trying to fake it or to faint
That you score when you drop the ball
Every time is highly deceptive
That's a spooky way to show unintelligence
A sore loser is pusillanimous and vindictive
An illustrious leader accepts defeat and concedes
After losing a long battle. Bad or foolish deeds
Merit no rewards or compensation
Great men show comprehension, compassion
Bravery and true leadership in a crisis
Doing the impossible thing is not a basis
To a successful outcome. Common sense
Prevails all the time. Ignorance and intolerance
Deserve no defense. A man with a magnanimous heart
And bravery is a hero who puts nobody apart
Because unity wins all the time. Division is a cancer
That destroys dreams, hope and a better future
A genius keeps everything relative, relevant and simple
And stays away from anything that's senseless and impossible.

God's Masterpiece

The velvet red rose bows as you pass by
It’s pedals wither as it concedes in envy
Your soft rouge lips in shame it cries.

Your Persian eyes hold amber flame
No man resists the warmth inside
No souls remain the same.

Soft long hair shimmers with golden strands
Invites the summer breeze to dance
A whirlwind rages within itself
To blow through the locks it finds romance.

Skin of porcelain no blemish, no scars
Gods masterpiece Gods Sun
Gods heaven Gods Star.
As angels sigh and lay at your feet
For you are the one
God lays down his brush
His masterpiece done.

The Final Countdown

Israel and Palestine duel, as Iran pulls the strings
Abiding under the rule of the Country with the wings
As Russia looks down Turkey is twisting in the wind
All seeking one crown or just the chance to rescind

As Trump stokes the fire, Maduro concedes to Putin
Netanyahu's situation now dire, separation so thin
And as China stands by harvesting lands procured
Isis continues to try yet no land has been secured

With Libya falling apart as the Sudan follows suit
Each actor and his part following the precise route
Just as the Bible had said as it all falls into place
Man would rather be dead than accept God's grace

Watch that eagle with wings, watch what he'll do
The deal that he brings a peace deal made for two
Then after three and a half years as the Bible said
Realizing their worst fears those of the living Dead

Ezekiel 38

Luke 21:28
When you see these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.

When a Son Loses His Father

Now that he's without him
what is he working for
He had never truly realized
His dad drove him to want more
With working came acceptance
replaced emotions he concedes
and his father unavailable,
he kept his schedule filled with deeds,
When his father passed away
it broke him to the core
just learning he and his dad
had things in common they stood for
His dad had loved unconditionally,
despite his character flaws
and perhaps was thinking he'd call his son
when the winter thaws
but winters came and went
and neither reached to call
yet they truly loved each other
despite their voices being awol
His imperfect life with his Dad,
is now the oddest gift he treasures
He's vowed to be a father
for his sons to proudly measure
He says "I love you" to his kids,
and has being saying so for many years
then thinks of what he missed
with his Dad,
and it reduces him to tears
Nothing can make that emptiness go
he carries the lesson learned
Knowing now to speak his love out loud
not said to be returned
When a son loses his father
a part of himself fades into the light
as do the words he rarely stated,
like, "Dad, nice to hear from you tonight"
or picking up the phone to say,
"hi dad, did you just hear",
are calls he wished he'd made
while he wipes away a tear,
Now in a prayer he says, "I love you Dad",
to the heavens he kneels and pleads
and wonders if his fathers knows
that his love's so strong, it bleeds
"Dad, in case you didn't know it,
I love you more than I can say
I always tell my kids I love them
I learned that the hard way,
and in my heart,
my father,
you shall always stay".

Premium Member Life As Perceived Reality

Life As Perceived Reality

We believe and think what beings we are;
Juiced up ready to expel our seeds
to create new generations of replications.
Each with different bumps and rinds divided within,
but in the end, can we really tell one from the other?
What history was written? What tales were told?
Where would our essence go next?
The lemon and lime ponder the finality

Destiny takes us through each vector
and we live life as if it matters.
Reward and struggle makes the day important
to the ones who stay.
Why-wherefore queries would often seem
to lead to equivalent questions but from different questioners.
shall we all arrive at the same conclusions in circulations?
Semantic variables confuse and dissociate until the "why"
split like a atom becomes a force to be reckoned with,
an uncontrollable exhortation which like the wild stallion
is difficult to tame.

We excel in greatness born of trauma, ending in trauma
the pluralistic motivator of the human race
without which, all would all die as a mundane abstractions.
There has to be, more than soul malnourishment
or psyche incompatibilities that fire the ovens of our discontent.

But for the millennium of existence
man's emotional evolution progresses little,
All of the incarnations and soul needs
have been left unsatisfied and yet we still hunger
for a messiah to complete our missions.
.
The free will of maneuverability concedes
the interpretation to mean a narrow winded road
with little room to avoid oncoming traffic;
an open highway with eternal destinations
that never seem to close the open gaps
between the beginning and the end,
until one learns that the beginning was the end

Glory in goodness, as darkness will surely follow.
The earth sends this message with each rotation
In radiant awe and heart hurting sadness

Possibilities are endless it is said.
Once chosen the now becomes the beginning
and the possibilities again become
endless until the final second
when it all ends as prescribed by the prescriber.
Perhaps then, one may see clearly
what was before us all the time
and is thankful that the curtain
finally closes on the succession of plays.

The Heart's Eye

"The Heart’s Eye"

When the heart’s eye
speaks to you,
you listen, just as
when the heart’s eye
sees how it all is,
you feel, touched
in the mind

the heart’s eye
is an overworked muscle
working overtime
a pearl of wisdom
eating you inside out
like a carnival eats
its exposed clowns

eventually it stops
tick-tock
tick-tock
no one truly suspects
the depths of its
depraved covert nature
incognito, it’s a time bomb

some Lewis clock
on a well-lit fob watch
down the rabbit hole
we go journeying
with smiling hatters
who are really Jabberwocks
the heart’s eye is a Red Queen

residing inside
Love, exists, resists,
concedes for all its worth
light and dark treacly stuff
it’s a messy business
it ain't clean,
all said and done

when heads
roll off

Premium Member Breath of Love

To inhale sweet fragrance, a breath of love
Evening's light casts a gray flickering shade
Beneath a moon rising and stars above
Lovers merge silently as eyes persuade
To fill this measure that a love yearns for
Unrestrained trust, to share wants and needs
Two hearts tremble as a welcomed captor
and fall through realms where resistance concedes
Secure in love's warmth has dispersed night's chill
Shadows from lovers are burned by a flame
and hearts pounding strong are echoing still
While laughter and whispers haunt this domain

Nothing is left beneath red sky of dawn
No trace of two lovers, as they have gone

Building Human Nature

The diversity of beliefs have collectively demoralized
the sanctity of attaining wisdom and respectfully sharing
the exchange of knowledgeability by compartmentalizing creativity.
This makes us..............................
willingly grasp onto the idea of fighting and murdering to
expressively uphold what is fundamentally a moralizing of humanity.
Instead of communicating uncertainty to keep things simply
as beautiful as they were to start with.
When you do your own research and hold no preference,
think freely and critically, that's enough for the world.
The ones who want to work hard, provide, and allow others
to decide how to live their lives. The ones that do not judge and
are only inspired by the weaving of individuality that creates this
painting of adversity within a natural environment will succeed.
We are smart enough to know that these men in ties telling lies
making us believe the TV has the answers or you need to earn
and spend monies that are impractically fabricated and blind us
from working like slaves for their manipulated, corrupt economy
that concedes in an illusory connectedness called consumerism.
Or, social issues that brainwash you into thinking that their fear
mongering gives you a sense of identity. Without identifying
their symbols of devilry they saturate in every necessity they
presumably provide for you that came free from the earth.
If everyone would live like they knew they were going to die,
the one and only certainty in life, then the intangibles in life become
clear, it's sitting right upon your nose, the rose colored lens' are
cleansed and the colors, the beauty, the smells, the smiles,
the kindness and caring, the recognition of a resolution to suffering,
and our purpose to help ourselves is through helping others,
THAT is enough to make a change.
