A red sun, pooling like a drop of blood,
coagulates at the edge of darkness.
And the night flows like a shadow, a flood
black as pitch, inking a seamless starkness.

A gilded moon, like a pitted gold coin,
beams in the sky as a beacon of light.
And like swarms of flashing fireflies, stars join
quasars and pulsars, twinkling in the night.

Dawn frets like a nervous actor offstage
practicing, to introduce the sun.
And as a gossamer breeze turns the page,
morning shimmers, like a web, freshly spun.

And the sun rises, a golden balloon
afloat in the air like a songbird's tune.

I consulted a tyromancer
To see if I could find an answer
She consulted some cheese
And told me so much sleaze
I’m convinced she’s just a fat chancer!

Written after I read an article in the dentist’s waiting room today and I discovered that Tyromancy is form of divination involving observation of cheese, especially as it coagulates

“It” embraces “togetherness”
Like blemished mascara on a retired call girl

“It” would speak in aggressive audible banter,
As if crystallized bullhorns were
Strapped
Onto unwelcome seating arrangements

No boundaries.
No consideration.
No apologies.

Yet, their measurement of pride
Coagulates into withered centimeters
While seducing unscented tulips
With impoverished protractors
And tattered encyclopedias

An unsatisfied square root with no common denominators,
Lacking

No (re)solutions.

Does “it” see colors when they build a façade of deteriorating vowels?

Or is their blood alcohol level tested
By walking on borrowed heels
And pickup lines made of disappearing ink,
Purchased in bulk

Could they realign high hopes while riding on constipated high horses?

Hoping to veer towards whimsical sunsets,
With silver medal’s soul mate,
Drinking from another cracked bowl of pretentious vapors

Feeble attempts to take the hand of any “available” heartbeat,
Hoping they can slow dance to their newly, hand-written
“Woe is me” Polka ballad

Another baby put in the corner
Another bounced reality check
Another hunt for rebounded bliss within conceptual kiss

No hope -> Know hope
No love -> Know love
No better -> Know better

An educated tragedy is their only flirtatious lyric.

Blood Is Thicker Than Water -Farewell

Blood is thicker than water (farewell)

Burdened and scarred by DNA
Passed on to us without our say yet
Blood is thicker than water you say?
Characteristically speaking at least
Yes this much is true

Blood coagulates, dries up at such a rate
Impermanent - given certain conditions -
As flaking paint on the family portrait
Carries unknown diseases causing delicate hearts
Quite literally to break

Water the poor relation oh so giving
Life force indeed of all things living
Cleanses, refreshes, vitality brings
Enriches life prompting hale hearts
Passionately to sing

Crimson blood dripping oozing
Pure water flowing clear and soothing
I know now which is my choosing

Blood is thicker than water they say
This I will dispute
Till my last drop has bled away

As Materialism Radiates

the choking beat of conformity
coagulates internment in the minds
of fascist marches measuring time
shoving tubes filled with dictates
down the gullet of my spirit
wishing to be at least severed
from the instance of alignment
inherent in the laughing dream
which destroys ambitions of rain
-bows arching toward constellations
(a distorted and twisted version of the uni
-verse is still wavering alternative…

…dimensions into the crevice of an animal
eyeing and praying for nothing save rain
and prey to be plentiful despite their screams…)

must keeps the string extending
into nuclear holocaustic burns freezing
specters of old films dissolving
bubbles of arteries swelling grand
-father gasping at the why dangling
in the sky…stratospheric metaphors

…and off-key colors spill like incense
into the flame of creation harkening
dances of concubines combining
their hair like an enigma

lost in the tip of a hum
life splits the secret of the tongue
a hue reflecting djinns of you

releases peace in a white explosion
swimming a thousand curses in sand
blinding in the storm of suffering
until the palliating confusion tears
and the witnesses remain in the caesarian
-section of divided moons of elliptical doubt
orbiting the cloud of world-leaders
scratching the chin of sin smirking…

The Darkness At Noon - Gloom

This is like a red moon.
This is like a total eclipse.
The sun becomes black.
SIX MONTHS OF DARKNESS
The gloom occurred during noon unexpectedly.
The media states the world is in Armageddon.
This has been formed from the unknown God.

The world becomes tense.
A universe is in darkness.
It does not affect utilities until the darkness coagulates.
Mania displays on faces.
Children sit quietly.
Crime is on the streets.

The police sirens are heard from a distance.
Looting for no reason because the natural disaster is darkness.
No homes are lost.
No souls are at stake.
The cities and towns are not evacuated.
However, weather is onset.

The stars shine.
The moon they surround.
Time is of the utmost importance.
Foremost, is the day is not in appearance.
The weather person does not know what to tell.
The media is the forerunner of what has occurred everywhere.
Life moves on.

Modern Folktales From Long-Ago

There is an old tall tale told by the elders in the Village.
It says that the skulls come up from the dead.
That their bones deteriorate and the skulls are only valued.
When the moon is full and the darkness coagulates,
the skulls become spirits of others graves.
They are the blood of the Irish and Scottish in a diverse place.
They congeal to those newly buried taking their spirits away.

In world of darkness, stands the werewolf
transformed from a bite of a wild dog.
Vexed by his troubles of loving his blood,
this man desired a werewolf woman.
He loved his wife as he loved himself.
He knew that a drop of his blood would covet.
Therefore, he decided not to worry and confound his existence.
They dined that night and red wine they drank.
His blood he saw on her lips was viscous.
She licked.
That night in sleep, she did change.
They became vested and they world became sane.

Lucid and bright is how the sunsets.
A time of twilight is for youth to thrive.
No children left in the darkness about life up to now.
The truth must be told about humankind.
You see we are people created by the omnipotent.
His supremeness is an almighty presence.
No one has every witness him in the United States of America.
We are a discovered country formed from immigration and slavery.
The origin is the blood of my people.
They state that we are from the land creatures.
Our bodies evolved at night from their presence.
We sat in the trees as primates.
We found country that they did not habitat.
We became human beings in the twilight.

How Autumn Rushed Upon Me

The Hole

who the hell let that pimp in?

My boss grabed me, then

Immediatly, I became the next candidate for exploratory surgery;

Sodomized with a paring knife to remove the alleged ******** from my ass;

I immediatly volunteered for pimp removal surgery,

Flooding! On a gurney headed for the emergency room;

As the doctor studied my hemoraging rectum,
My ******* became blackmail for that pimp;

Not a hole,not an opening,
Just pulsating, hemoraging flesh!

The flys just congragate while the blood coagulates !

Impressions Imperfect

Reflections are divergent
images composite
negatives of dreams
an alternate stream.

Calculations of precise reality reflected.
diverge and coalesce? In memories
Stacked as photographs fade…

Reflections are divergent
images composite
negatives of dreams
an alternate life
not all is at it seems.

Things unseen best left dismember
in the bloody history of my infancy!
Coagulates impressions like rusty blood…

As impression imperfect of pictures; vacations,
holidays, Christmases, and life images delineate
go fuzzy pale, fade, and blow away…lost in memory!

A story in the light of a bitter
sweet son a future left unseen
and in between shadow and reality.

Divergent reflections
composite perfect impressions
in alternant history
refract
retract
subtract & divide
impressions imperfect
feeling the suicide!

The shadows in all these photographs
burn in the light as future sons, diverged
impressions perfect

image compromise
comprehended
and surmised…

Adamas

Justifications fall

from your mouth like shrapnel

truer to yourself than any other cares to be

because inside you know

they lack the power to truly see

see you as you are

not a person, not a punching bag

in silence listen carefully

and take another drag

forget their reprimands

the world is so unkind

just a little more to go

but the blind shall lead the blind

take another hit

conceal yourself in flame

to gain the strength to end it

aren’t you tired of being to blame

no more nightmares, no more shame

dust off your shoulder

clear the cobwebs full of pretty lies

no point in standing up to fight

with a haze of smoke behind their eyes

pulse pounds and ears ring

venom spews, coagulates

deep inside an empty useless thing

but joy fades forever more

just to mimic sunshine

on a desolate shore

a bed of lies no more goodbyes

watch as hours pass and an entire lifetimes flies

by too quickly, then it is gone

denials voiced and truths unspoken

those who bleed but live unbroken

trading diamonds in for seashells

just to feel a part of something

larger than themselves

Is this how spirits feel

Fading in and out

To remain as phantoms still

Forever trapped in spaces

Too small to take a breathe

Endlessly awaiting

A cold and careless death

Painting Freely By Memory

Abstract images dripping shadows
Through one's reveries--- cycles grasped
by an artist's palm, scraping the easel--
Mosaic of  fallen birds caught within blended tints;
Acrylic pictures woven together,
Hung through clotheslines... soaring like love unrequited.
Within edges of a framework, paint coagulates,
Full of stale cigar smoke as wax droppings
break from many nights' forsaken candles.

Still

Her eyes see his mystery
He's as raw as a bone
Bone white, ice cold
She feels his chill
When she wants his love
But she exists in hell for him
Because she knows
He's trapped at the Rockerfeller Center
A little boy frozen in time
Cutting the ice with the blade in his skates
Wishing to release himself from the pain
But, the blood never coagulates
It just keeps bleeding from his soul

She sees inside
She knows his torment
Because it is her's because it's his
Because it's theirs
No matter the eerie descent into darkness
She treads no where
