In the Tiny Light From a Chandelier

A tiny light from the chandelier
Made my shadows of sorrow dissapear
In a sudden flash I saw all your men
Singing "I'll be back, but I don't know when"

Santa is here and he wants your kiss
You have never seen him quite like this
And though is story is rather grim
He's got gifts for those who believe in him

Also Jesus said he'll be back some day
Some say he never left here anyway
But he told you once and he told you twice
Be a good girl and he'll treat you nice

Brown leaves crash in my window glass
They used to be green but all things must pass
The third time that the rooster craws
It's bye-bye to the savior and to Santa-Claus

A tiny light from a chandelier
Made my shadows of sorrow dissapear
Then in a dream your men stood in line
Eating your cookies - drinking your wine

Chandelier of Stars

Chandelier of stars,
Against wooden sky,
Feeling so high,
Feeling so fine,
You are mine,
And I pine,
For your every verbal caress,
Every physical beat,
Take a seat,
I’ll teach you what it is to feel-
Heat,
In your backbone,
I need a microphone,
To tell of your appeal,
I feel,
Closer to you each day,
I pray,
To continue this journey of ours,
So far,
We’ve progressed,
Through violence and stress,
Our worst and our best,
We share,
I’d spare,
You,
Of my rage,
I feel caged,
Sometimes,
In my mind,
Since I am yours,
And you are mine,
Our souls together,
Forever?
Forever,
I feed the need,
To succeed,
With you by my side,
I’m in for a ride,
All kidding aside,
Your love lets me float,
I wrote,
This for my man,
So he’ll understand,
What I feel,
So utterly real,
I utter,
And stutter,
One day we’ll walk,
Down the aisle,
For a mile,
On white sand beach,
Confidence in the reach,
Of our hearts,
To each others.

Chandelier Versus Ember

Chandelier versus ember

                             Chandelier
                     Aureate, resplendent
            Swinging, glistening, attracting
A steady hope; A crushed dream
                  Burning, defeating, fading
                              Dark , dull
                                 Ember

Chandelier

A chandelier hung frozen in time
Locked in a hazy Italian photograph
Memories spark and sizzle
But die out all too soon
In a grueling cycle of remembrance

His smile was like sunlight sparkling on water
His charisma could make the most distrustful person believe or trust him
Those promises were so genuine

Promise of beautiful home on city's edge
This was like a dream come true
Chandelier of crystal was the focal point
Of that large open front room

Beautiful cut crystal hung sparkling in sun on that afternoon
Once settled and heat came on that winter
The chandelier slowly began to drip
Drip onto that fabulous marble floor

Then soon all that was left a dirty puddle
Dirty liquid on the beautiful marble floor
Needing to be cleaned with a mop and marble cleaner

Charisma just doesn't get it
Genuine character does and always has been a winner with me.

Heated Chandelier

Chandelier drips through glossy frames
Its  layer of  tint sets a room ablaze;
And then, while glances are exchanged
Soft the passion heating warmth’s pace.

Two shadows lock in blind desire, when
Chandelier drips through glossy frames
Mouths consume a thirst unrestrained
As drops of steam reflect on panes.

The evening raw defies hours’ refrain
Surrendering to lust that throbs, as
Chandelier drips through glossy frames
Until one hue blends flesh and glass.

Sips of wine taste an afterglow
While ceiling lamp quivers to tame
Love’s whispered moans now ebbing, lo;
Chandelier drips through glossy frames.

Amber Chandelier

AMBER CHANDELIER

Late October and dark trees
Bare of branch and bark
Mask an airy golden volume yet:
A leafy brightness in autumn’s aura.

Gloom of day but the spreading maple’s
As if seen through trellised panes:
A Russian chandelier in the Amber Room,
Each frond glowing, reflecting the uncertain light.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

NOTE

The Amber Room is a part of a Russian tsarist palace called Tsarskoe Selo that, in terms of grandeur and excessive opulence, outstrips even Versailles. Tsarskoe Selo is in St. Petersburg, Russia.

CHANDELIER BALL

Take me to the marbled hall,
on a date of the magnificent Chandelier Ball

My gown will flow from the grandeur stair,
With hand in palm you'll take me there.

At the Chandelier Ball,
ladies are sleek and gents are tall.

Eyes behold with fascinating gleam,
marveling at the Cindarellic scene,

As we pomp and circumstance,
at the rhythm of the dance,

All the ladies are taken with your charm,
of you closely holding me in your arms.

But we will dance the night away,
til the morning dawn of day.

Though they are patient to cut in,
we'll dance once more and then again.

This dance is for you, en symphony,
I am yours and darling you belong to me.

and when upon my bed tonight,
I’ll think of us like birds in flight.

May our enraptured kiss forever be recalled
On the date of the magnificent Chandelier ball.

Chandelier To Enchant

         from ceiling above
at central hall of my house
         hanging charming chandelier

me to watch at lazy noon
        of sunny weekend
        sun rays entering through glasses

       splitting in sparkling spectrum
       displaying dazzling designs
       on walls and ceiling

Chandelier

My parents had a chandelier
When I was growing up,
Above the table in the room
Where company would sup.

Its crystal doodads dangled down
And sparkled in the light,
Creating quite a festive mood
When it was lit at night.

But cleaning it was quite a chore
And had to be entrusted
To someone up on tiptoe,
On a stepstool, to be dusted.

Plus once a year or so, I guess,
Each droplet got a bath,
Which adds to lots of hours of work,
If you just do the math.

I always found that chandelier
Too gaudy for my taste,
A little bit pretentious
For the home where it was based.

Yet when I'm at a venue
With a glitzy chandelier,
I envision my old dining room,
My mem'ry crystal clear.

Premium Member A Chandelier of Stars

A dying sun silently sinks from sight
as misty clouds morph into a pink shroud.
Shadows and silhouettes are still allowed,
though indiscernible in the starlight.
And beams of liquid gold pool in the night,
where moonbeams peek through thick layers of cloud.
And the chirping sounds of crickets grow loud
until they are hushed by the moon's soft light.

Strolling under a chandelier of stars,
Luna embodies elegance and grace;
a wizened sprite smiling down from above.
And lovers try to catch moonbeams in jars
as fantasies and wishes interlace;
fueled by feelings of falling in love.

Chandelier Earrings

Today is her birthday ring all the bells
Today is her birthday for one who excels
Today be prepared ~ be warned ~ be aware

The grooviest grandma
With flowing red hair
Will be hitting the town
In her gold lamé gown

On the tiniest of feet
Oh so comfy ~ so sweet

    Shimmering ~ Silver ‘Birks’

 ‘Cos to wear any others
  Quite frankly really hurts…

A scarlet feather boa

    Think you already know her?

Chandelier earrings almost touching the floor

She is Sassy ~ Saucy ~ Sexy too

Hey ~ have you almost guessed who?

With her beloved pussy Irene ^~^
Who really thinks she is the Queen
Robed head to tail in emerald green
A classier pair you've never seen

As a friend she makes me smile
for this I love her all the while
        I love her total eccentricity
            her passion and her honesty

Happy Birthday salutations on this day of celebrations
Sending love and hugs across the world from Ann your biggest fan
To my dearest Panagiota my poem is my gift to you
Enjoy your day ~ in your unique way ~ as only you can do…

The Chandelier

I bought a chandelier
and built a house around it

It was one of a kind
and heavy too
it reminded me of a castle

So I took it home
put it in the attic
because
there was nowhere to hang it

It had to have space
to hang
It needed room
to be seen

So the house was built
to house
the chandelier

And now it hangs in the foyer
of my home
And my home
hangs like the chandelier
over my head
